Ariana Grande has pulled a Madonna. No, she didn’t compare the leaking of her music to rape . Nor did she refer to kale as gay . But, just as Madonna did at the BRIT Awards , Grande did stumble and take a fall while performing at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Sunday. While belting the lyrics to “Bang Bang” – the star’s smash hit collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj – Grande was climbing a set of stairs back to the main platform when she tripped bit it. Kanye West has an easy explanation for why he rushed the stage at the Grammy Awards Sunday night, nearly interrupting Beck’s Album of the Year acceptance speech before heading back to his seat. Because he’s crazy pants! “Right when that happened, everybody was looking at me, and then people started screaming, ‘Kanye! Kanye! Go do it!'” Kanye told Ryan Seacrest on the radio this morning. “Okay, that didn’t really happen, these were voices in my head. So the voices in my head told me to go up, and then I just walked up, like, halfway up the stage.” West laughed after letting Beck finish, but he was dead serious an hour or so later when slamming the Grammys for giving Beck an award in the first place. He felt as if Beyonce should have won Album of the Year. But he sounded a different tune upon speaking to Seacrest today. At least to some degree. “Beck is one of the nicest guys and one of the most respected musicians in the game. So there’s nothing that I would want to do as a fellow musician to disrespect him in any way,” the rapper said. Mr. Kim Kardashian even feels bad about saying the Grammys should have respected artistry by honoring Beyonce. “I think it came off the wrong way, and that was a mis-wording on my part, because obviously Beck is one of the most respected artists and respects artistry.” So why did Kanye go off in such a manner after the show? Why have most people sided with Shirley Manson in telling Kanye to grow up ? “Well, you know what happened?” he explained to Seacrest. “It’s because I sat there and I kind of let that [smolder] and I was asked my opinion and I was given a platform. “And when given a platform, it’s very hard, as we know – and I’m going to talk in third person like I’m a crazy person – but it’s very hard for Kanye West to not be very true and vocal to what he feels.” Man. Ariana performed her new holiday track “Santa Tell Me” on the CBS special, along with her hit duet “Best Mistake” with rapper boyfriend Big Sean. Ariana Grande ft. Her sexy, red two-piece dress was downright sizzling, setting the done for her duet with Sean, her longtime friend and collaborator turned love interest.
