Metz plays Joyce Smith, a Missouri woman whose adopted son and two of his friends fell through ice while playing. Two of the boys were quickly rescued, but Joyce’s son John remained under water for some 15 minutes before being rescued. Paramedics couldn’t find a pulse for Smith for a full hour before his mother was called to the hospital to say her final goodbyes. What happens next is truly miraculous — and this is a film based on a TRUE STORY! The film also stars Josh Lucas as Joyce’s husband Brian, Topher Grace as the family’s pastor Jason Noble, Mike Colbert as the paramedic who ultimately rescued John from the lake and Dennis Haysbert and Sam Trammell who played roles as the two doctors who were vital to Smith’s survival. Recently, Jinger Duggar has been flaunting more Duggar rules than ever . She can do that — because she’s a Vuolo, now. In a new interview, Jinger and Jeremy sat down to speak openly and honestly about their marriage. Jeremy says that he tells Jinger every impure thought that crosses his mind so that his wife can help him fight “temptation.” Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo sat down with Jeremy and Audrey Roloff for their Behind The Scenes podcast. Jeremy and Jinger have, of course, been married since 2016. They met through Jessa and Ben Seewald, though Jinger at first worried that Jeremy wouldn’t be interested in her. “I knew Jeremy for some months before we started a relationship,” Jinger reminds listeners. “So,” Jinger reasons. “I knew he was an awesome, awesome guy.” Jinger says that it was on a mission trip when she noticed that Jeremy had the qualities that she had prayed to see in a spouse. To her delight, he ended up returning her interest. Jeremy shares his side, how he had also thought deeply about what sort of spouse he would one day hope to see. “I wrote down a list of what I wanted in a wife,” Jeremy reveals. He makes it clear that he wasn’t talking about his future wife’s appearance, but about her character. But even after they had developed feelings for each other, there were still some hangups to work out. Jeremy says that at first he was afraid, even “petrified,” at the idea of becoming a reality TV star. He got over his misgivings when Jinger made it clear that her heart was “not being driven by the red carpet.” Because Jinger is a Duggar, there was no dating — there was a courtship, an engagement, and a wedding. It was when they prepared for that that Jinger brought up “the issue of purity and communication.” Jeremy explains that he and his wife discuss various temptations that he may experience. “Very early on, from the moment we were married,” Jeremy says. “I wanted Jinger to be in with me on the battle for purity.” That line alone is a great reminder that the Duggars and those in their world have very different everyday concerns than most of us. “And so,” Jeremy admits. “It’s a difficult conversation at times to have.” “But,” he says, it’s helpful “to be able to say, ‘hey I’m getting hit with some temptation or I’m just struggling this morning with this or that.'” He admits that he had some uncertainty about being directly honest about “impure” thoughts. “We naturally think, ‘if I show her that I’m struggling with this thought or that thought, it’s going to hurt her,’” Jeremy explains. “Well,” he reveals. “Actually the opposite is true.” “It actually builds her trust,” Jeremy says. He says that it works this way “because she begins to think ‘oh, if he’s struggling, he’s going to let me know and I can fight with him.'” Honesty often builds trust. So, if we’re understanding this carefully phrased explanation correctly … Jeremy tells Jinger his naughty thoughts. Speaking with Wired , Sony revealed the system is well on its way plus what gamers can expect when it is finally unveiled. Assuming Sony sticks with tradition, its next-generation console will be called PlayStation 5 but, lead system architect Mark Cerny made sure to keep the forthcoming system’s name under wraps. But he did reveal the inner workings of PS5. Cerny revealed that the PlayStation 5 will be sporting a solid-state hard drive that will enable to it have faster load times, will still use physical discs despite rumors of consoles heading in the discless gaming direction, will be backward compatible allowing owners to play PS4 games as well. Under the hood, AMD will be supplying a new central processing unit and a graphics processing unit that will allow ray tracing which help produces improved visuals in computer graphics. Cerny also hinted that Sony is still making sure PS VR is a focal point for the company. Without confirming nor denying The PlayStation 5 will support PlayStation VR and there might be a possible updated version coming as well. As far as a release date is concerned, Cerny made sure to point out that the PlayStation 5 is not coming out this year. But it’s very close and is “deep” in development with development kits already being shipped to game developers to get the ball rolling. So we can expect some top tier titles ready to go when Sony’s new next-generation console launches. With Google , Apple , Nintendo , and Microsoft all hinting at next-generation gaming it was only a matter of time that Sony will show what is in the pipeline. Real 92.3 announced on Monday that The Cruz Show –which is anchored by one of LA’s most popular on-air personalities J Cruz , is going to join its afternoon program lineup every Monday through Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. starting on April 18. The host will be joined by Executive Producer Jeff Garcia , DJ Lechero and DJ Lezlee , who are also making the move. His departure was so significant for the station that power 106 fell from their top 5 spot among popular Los Angeles radio stations down to 14–3 spots below their competitor, Real 92.3. There’s no word on what caused the move for The Cruz Show from Power–where he took over for Big Boy–to Real 92.3, but it was probably a similar situation to Big Boy’s regarding a higher paying gig. Big Boy ended up being sued by Emmis communications following his departure, and though he came out victorious, that information probably lends itself to a pretty big reason J Cruz might now be too vocal about why the switch was made–at least not for a while. J Cruz and his crew stopped by their new home over at Big Boy’s Neighborhood to talk about their move and how it feels to be back together again. Spring cleaning can be as simple as putting away your heavy winter coats and replacing them with lighter spring jackets or as complex as renovating your entire place to make way for new flowers, décor and other household staples. It doesn’t matter when or where you start, spring cleaning is a sure way to lift your spirits in anticipation for sunnier days ahead. Whether you want to do a deep clean or a light dusting, we’ve got a few spring cleaning tips to help get you started! Change Your Doormat Your doormat has probably been a life saver all winter collecting dirt, snow, salt and other winter mess from your house guests’ shoes. Now that a new season is upon us, it’s time to replace your winter doormat with something a bit more spring-like that not only looks like sunshine but also makes your home feel more warm and ready for something new. You can even consider using two door mats, one outside and one inside, to keep dirt from entering your home altogether and make the cleaning process easier moving forward. Clean Your Microwave There’s nothing worse than a disgusting microwave and if yours is due for a cleaning, this Good Housekeeping hack can help. Place a large microwave-safe bowl with 1 cup of water and a chopped-up lemon, lime, or orange or several tablespoons of vinegar inside. Turn the microwave on high for a few minutes or until the solution boils. Then, let it sit for 15 minutes before opening the door. Replace Your Bedding Now that the weather is warmer, it’s time to put away those heavy, dark colored covers and blankets and replace them with something lighter in color and in feel to make those warm spring and summer nights more comfortable. Clean Your Air Replacing furnace and HVAC filters is often an overlooked part of spring cleaning but will help keep you healthier as you enter the spring season.
