According to Billboard , Lil Nas X ‘s “Old Town Road” hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart, giddying on up from its previous No. 15 spot. The viral hit’s success comes just in time for Lil Nas’ 20th birthday, which is August 9. The young gunner joins people like Cardi B for having his initial Hot 100 entry top the charts with no featured guests. Cardi once did this with her smash “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” in October 2017. “Road” also hit the No. 1 spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and the Hot Rap Songs chart, jumping from No. 7 on each list. There’s nowhere to go but up for the country trap treasure since the “Old Town Road” remix was released last week and is also expected to do numbers. Both the remix and original version will count towards the song’s singular placement on the charts. So fasten your saddles and giddy up pardners! The yeehaw agenda is just getting started! Hopefully, the backwards Billboard will take notice and change accordingly.

The esteemed guests included Atlanta mayor Keisha Bottoms, as well as 21 Savage’s manager Kei Henderson, tech entrepreneur Paul Judge, QC head honcho Kevin “Coach K” Lee, and rapper/activist/businessman Killer Mike. In addition, the crowd was also treated to performances by local talent like Beyoncé’s shining stars Chole x Halle, Gunna, and 2 Chainz. Mayor Bottoms spoke to a loud and proud crowd about the possibilities that exist in Atlanta that perhaps don’t exist elsewhere. Coach K took the mic and preached a Peachtree sermon about how influential Atlanta is to the rest of the world and ways to further bolster the city’s profile. 2 Chainz took a moment to honor Nipsey Hussle before he went on with his set. Then he gave the people what they came to see. We were beyond impressed with the thought and care that AT&T took in making sure that Atlanta was presented in a positive and uplifting light. ‘Twas a great night with stellar activations, photo booths, and interactive exhibits that rep the 404.

The daytime show is known for its unapologetic co-hosts whose opinions range from liberal to conservative on various issues. Naturally, with such varying views, things can get a little spicy. However, the tension reached flaming hot temperatures on Monday when the women discussed Kirstjen Nielsen leaving her position as Homeland Security Secretary. Nielsen will be replaced by the current Customs and Border Protection commissioner Kevin McAleenan in an interim position. The moves McAleenan make could shape the U.S.’ southwest border patrol. Currently, Trump thinks there’s a crisis at the border with illegal immigration, prompting outrageous moves such as family seperations and the demand for a billion dollar wall . The women of The View discussed this, but unfortunately things got a little uncivil when Joy was making a point about helping Central American countries instead of demonizing their residents trying to enter the U.S. Behar was trying to finish her point in the most coolest, calmness way possible when Ms. McCain interrupted her. Behar then replied, “I listened to you, let me just finish.” Again… IN THE MOST COOLEST, CALMEST WAY. But McCain all of a sudden had a chip on her shoulder and replied, “Part of your job is to listen to me.” WITH THE ADDED HAIR FLIP. The audience was in shock. The High School’s Varsity boys basketball team recently made school history after winning their first state championship March 9. The Bulldogs defeated Tucker High School, 46-43, with a buzzer-beating 35-foot shot from senior Da’Marcus Johnson. They just needed a little monetary help to purchase rings for each player, as memorabilia for the momentous occasion.
