Source: James Devaney / Getty You’d think one of the first things Jay-Z would do when TIDAL came about was add his cult classic concert documentary Fade To Black to the visual library, but you’d be wrong. Luckily he’s finally decided to let his OG fans re-experience the 15-year-old film while letting new millennial fans get a better understanding on why he’s the G.O.A.T to so many of us. According to Hypebeast , Jay-Z’s “farewell” concert documentary will finally be available for streaming for TIDAL subscribers four years after Jay-Z’s Project Panther Bidco Ltd acquired the streaming service. Originally released in 2004, Fade To Black was a behind the scenes concert documentary that followed Jay-Z throughout his creative process during what was supposed to be his swan song LP, The Black Album , and his farewell concert at Madison Square Garden. Featuring appearances from timeless artists like Missy Elliott, P. Diddy and of course, Beyoncé, the film was everything Jay-Z fans could’ve asked for at the time it dropped. Naturally, we all know that Jay-Z didn’t retire like planned after the release of the album and the documentary, and for that we’re grateful. Still, it was a great piece of work from directors Patrick Paulson Michael and John Warren and will forever be a piece of music history. Are you excited about watching Fade To Black on TIDAL? Let us know.
FACT: Meri Brown seems very unhappy these days. ONGOING RUMOR: Meri Brown is about to leave Sister Wives. NEW REASON TO BELIEVE THIS RUMOR: A source who knows something about these kinds of situation has spoken out on the subject. Kristyn Decker is author of Fifty Years in Polygamy: Big Secrets and Little White Lies . Her parents were in a polygamous marriage and she was involved in one herself, prior to finally getting out after over three decades as a member in this kind of relationship. Oh, and she’s also Christine Brown’s aunt. Does this mean Decker knows absolutely everything there is to know about polygamy in general and the Browns specifically? No. But it does make Decker is a more reliable source than just some anonymous tabloid insider, you know? Earlier this week, Kristyn did her best to warn her niece against polygamy, labeling the lifestyle as an abusive cult . Now, however, she’s shifted her focus from Christine to Meri, taking note of Meri’s Instagram account and the many trips she appears to be taking on her own and making an educated guess about the reality star’s future. “That’s the beginning of her leaving,” Kristyn tells Radar , adding of her own experience: “That’s what I did. I had to start taking care of me. I started going to plays, parties and movies, I would find friends.” For several months now, Meri has been taking photos of herself on cruises… on walks… simply standing in the woods. And she’s been including with these photos cryptic captions that continually make it appear as if she’s trying to take stock of her life and is thinking about making some major changes. Most prominently and obviously? That she’s ready to walk out on her marriage . As Sister Wives fans know, Kody and Meri’s marriage hit a very rough patch when he divorced her to marry fourth wife, Robyn, Window in 2014. He then ended their legal marriage to adopt Robyn’s children from a previous relationship. Fast forward to 2016 and Meri getting caught in an embarrassing catfishing scandal , something that created even more of a rift between her and Kody. “It’s hard to be here and work on these relationships in the family,” Meri said on an episode from this past season of the show, adding: “I’m looking in from the outside. I don’t feel like I have a husband and wife relationship.” Kristyn – who has appeared on Sister Wives in the past – told Radar that she’s considered driving to Meri’s bed and breakfast to speak with her, but is worried she would be “shunned.” Instead, she’s therefore offering some advice from afar. And that advice amount to this: GET OUT NOW, MERI! “If you don’t behave you will be treated badly,” Decker says. “Like Kody with how he’s treated Meri. He’s a polygamist, he has the say and power. He’s the God of his kingdom.” And this is what she previously told the same website: Polygamy is a system of abuse overall. Mental, emotional, and spiritual. The groups believe their leaders are the right ones and the others are wrong. Overall, polygamy is a system that’s harmful to men, women, children and society. You will live in polygamy and the women will be submissive. The women must let the men have other wives or they’ll go to hell. Source: Peopleimages / Getty As a celebrity makeup artist, I’ve been asked quite often how frequently one should wash their personal makeup brushes. My response is always the same: Wash your brushes as frequently as you wash your pillow cases . However, how to wash them however, wasn’t always an easy reply. In the beginning, I remember attempting to wash my brushes with the same bar of soap that I used to wash my body. For me, it’s Dove ($6.19, target.com ). Since the product worked so well on my skin and kept me clean, surely it would break down the build-up on my brushes. Right? I tried this a couple times and found myself in the bathroom for far too long. Rinse after rinse it took too many tries to get my dingy brushes like new again. After a couple of tries, I realized that I was just going to have to use something stronger. The next best thing would be dish soap. That worked like a charm and got my dirty white brushes white again, but then I noticed them slowly loosing bristles over time. It was obvious to me that the dish soap was drying out the hair of my brushes. I’d spent a lot of money on those suckers and needed them to hold up! Not to mention, my Beauty Blender sponges ($20.00, macys.com ) that were $20 a pop STILL wouldn’t get cleaned by anything other than the official soap that the company makes. Those bars of soap ($16.00, ulta.com ) cleaned my brushes and blenders marvelously but they were not affordable, especially for how fast I was moving through the product. Thus, I like many other girls just gave up washing my brushes as often as I should. Oh come on! Don’t act like you haven’t gone a month or longer without washing your brushes! It’s easy to do when you realize how time consuming it can be and how costly it is to purchase soaps that are meant to wash the hairs of your brushes. Once I became a working makeup artist I gathered up a collection of brushes meant only for clients and realized that I’d have to come up with a solution for cleaning my brushes. I’d be using them on multiple faces and needed them to be clean for each use for sanitary purposes. After some trial and error I narrowed it down to baby shampoo ($4.99, target.com ) for my brushes and the official Beauty Blender bar of soap ($16.00, ulta.com ) for my Beauty Blender ($20.00, macys.com ). The baby soap was strong enough to get my brushes clean but not too strong that it would dry them out. Still, it took a few washings before I could get them to be REALLY clean. One day I was traveling with a client. I had been working with this particular celebrity for some time and I was in and out of hotels with her. I realized after a long day on set that I’d run out of my bar of soap to wash my Beauty Blenders. It was late and Sephora wasn’t open so I used my only option…the bar of soap provided by the hotel. Within seconds of working up a good lather I realized that this bar of soap was cleaning the hell outta that sponge better than the official bar of soap! I grabbed a white bristled brush and tried using the soap on it. In seconds the brush was back to white! SECONDS! With my baby shampoo it took a few washings! The next morning I approached a maintenance worker and asked for more soap for my room. She gave me one bar. “Do you think you could spare any more of them?”. By the end of my stay I’d racked up at least 10 bars. It wasn’t long before I realized that it wasn’t just that hotel’s soap that cleaned my brushes and sponges. It was ALL hotel soap. So why would hotel soap work but not my Dove soap?! Simply put, because its cheap. Cheap soap cleans brushes and sponges best. I put this theory to the test by going to the drug store and purchasing the least expensive bar of soap they offered: Dial soap at .99 cents a bar. Now, all of these years later, that is my go-to product to clean my brushes and my sponges. The best part? Dial soap ($1.99, target.com ) is antibacterial too. WIN WIN! The only down side is that it is somewhat drying. I counteract this conditioning my real hair brushes every now and again. It’s real hair so you can condition it! Pamper your brushes from time to time so they can keep pampering you! Source: Prince Williams / Getty Here’s a blast from the not so distant past. Atlanta rapper Gorilla Zoe was recently arrested for domestic violence for allegedly putting hands on his girlfriend. Not exactly the best way to jog everyone’s memory about your rap career. According to TMZ , Zoe got popped early Sunday morning (Nov. 3) in Monroe County, Florida after cops were summoned to La Siesta Resort by security. They say Zoe got into a physical altercation with a woman on his hotel room balcony. According to the police report, the former Boyz N Da Hood rapper was seen trying to shove the woman back into the hotel room, eventually knocking her to the ground. However, she managed to lock him out on the balcony while she was in the room. But this is only the start of the struggle. Zoe reportedly began kicking and punching the door, and the woman eventually let him back in. By this time the police arrived and witnessed the rapper “pinning his girlfriend” to the ground. And this is where the struggle expands exponentially. After the cops separated the not so happy couple, she reportedly began defending Zoe. She allegedly claimed they always argue when they drink. Nevertheless, Zoe was arrested for domestic battery, and posted $2500 bail about an hour later. Bruh… — Photo: Getty
Source: Image Press/Splash News / Splash News 21 Savage is currently caught in the middle of an immigration case that is putting a sizeable dent in his touring career. The Atlanta-based rapper is currently awaiting a court date to resolve his status and ability to travel abroad but at the moment isn’t allowed to leave the United States to do one of the more financially significant portions of his profession. TMZ reports : As TMZ reported … Savage was arrested in Atlanta back in February and placed in ICE custody. Turns out he entered the U.S. legally from the UK back in 2005, but his visa expired and he’s been here illegally for years. The rapper wasn’t even able to get a work permit for 8 months, which meant he couldn’t work domestically. He finally got one last month, so at least now he can work in the U.S. … but traveling out of the country is out of the question until he gets things cleared up with immigration. The outlet adds that immigration courts in Atlanta have been besieged by a record number of cases, causing an effectual logjam of sorts. It might be years before the 27-year-old star will have his case heard and he still faces potential deportation as well. — Photo: Splash News
