Bradley Cooper Says Zach Galifianakis Is The ‘Toughest Guy’ At ‘A-Team’ Premiere

MTV Movie Awards nominee says not even his ‘A-Team’ co-stars could go toe-to-toe with bearded ‘Hangover’ actor. By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by Lauren Davis Bradley Cooper Photo: Michael Caulfield/ Getty Images Bradley Cooper is kicking butt and taking names as Lt. Templeton “Face” Peck in “The A-Team.” But real life doesn’t always imitate art, as Cooper admitted he isn’t quite as tough as his onscreen Special Forces soldier. The real badass, he said, is his “The Hangover” co-star Zach Galifianakis . “No one’s tougher than Zach Galifianakis, who played Allen [in ‘The Hangover’], so I don’t even try to even compare anybody,” Cooper told MTV News at movie’s Los Angeles premiere on Thursday. That may come as a surprise to fans looking forward to seeing the big-screen adaptation of the classic 80s TV series. “The A-Team” cast lineup &#8212 including Liam Neeson, Sharlto Copley and former UFC fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson &#8212 isn’t exactly made up of wimpy guys. Still, MTV Movie Awards nominee Cooper insisted bearded funnyman Galifianakis was the dude to be most afraid of. “They won’t make it,” Coopers said of his other co-stars. “He’s the toughest guy I ever met.” While Cooper was focused on Galifianakis, someone else was focused on Cooper. “The Hills” star Stephanie Pratt told MTV News she became a fan of the cute actor after seeing him in “The Hangover.” “The movie looks so funny,” Pratt said. “I’m gonna say, I think I’m gonna like [Cooper] better in the ‘A-Team.’ ” Does Zach Galifianakis seem like a tough guy to you? ‘New Moon’ Vs. ‘Avatar’: Nikki Reed, Ke$ha, Akon Debate MTV Movie Awards Battle

‘Is it a teenage thing or is it revolutionizing-filmmaking thing?’ Tyrese Gibson asks of the face-off. By Eric Ditzian Photo: 20th Century Fox One year ago, the MTV Movie Awards featured a face-off between vampires and orphans , as “Twilight” was up for seven awards and “Slumdog Millionaire” was tapped in six categories. The battle turned into a blowout, as Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s flick nabbed five wins, and “Slumdog” was completely shut out. 2010 at the Movie Awards brings us another epic throw-down – this time between the vampires of “New Moon” and the big blue aliens of “Avatar.” Both films are nominated in five categories, including Best Movie, Best Kiss and Best Female Performance. Which one of these blockbuster titans will triumph this Sunday at the awards show? That’s up to you, because fan voting is currently under way at MovieAwards.MTV.com . But fans aren’t the only ones who have a say in the competition. That’s why we asked some of our favorite celebs who they would vote for when it comes to this heated debate: Team “Twilight” or Team “Avatar”? “That’s not a fair question,” said “Twilight” franchise star Nikki Reed. “I think I have to stick with my movie on this one, although ‘Avatar,’ there are no words.” The likes of Kim Kardashian, Marisa Miller and Stephanie Pratt sided with Reed’s choice of “New Moon.” But for every Twilighter we spoke with, there was an “Avatar” fan ready to vote the other way, like Eli Roth and Adam Lambert. Or take Akon, who said simply, “I love ‘Avatar.’ That movie is amazing.” And then there are the folks who haven’t yet hit the cinema or popped in the DVD so they can make an informed choice in the “New Moon” vs. “Avatar” debate. “I can’t vote, only because I’m narcoleptic and I never made it through either one,” confessed Ke$ha. Count Kristin Cavallari among the non-voters as well. “I haven’t seen any of the ‘Twilight’ movies or ‘Avatar,’ ” she said. “I’m so out of the loop with everything!” So which flick is going to conquer on Sunday night? Stay tuned. For now, we’ll give Tyrese Gibson the final word. “Is it a teenage thing or is it revolutionizing-filmmaking thing?” he said. “And if it’s revolutionizing, then James Cameron’s definitely going to take it.” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. ‘The Hills’ Recap: Can Kristin And Brody Work As Friends With Benefits?

Plus, a sober Stephanie Pratt reenters the dating world. By Amy Wilkinson Looking good in a crop top, sometimes just isn’t enough to save a faltering friends-with-benefits relationship. Brody Jenner learned that lesson the hard way on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Hills,” as his budding romance with a new girl got in the way of his relationship with ex Kristin Cavallari. When Brody and Kristin decided to hook up last week, they were both clear that they loved the single life and that their relationship would just be casual — a fact Brody reiterated by announcing that he was going on a date with another girl. “I’m not looking for a relationship,” Brody reminded a plainly peeved Kristin. “I’m enjoying being single.” Meanwhile, the very un-single Audrina was trying to convince boyfriend Ryan Cabrera to go out with her and her dramatic friends — a crowd Ryan has gone to great lengths to avoid. “I’ll be waiting at home in my candy thong reading ‘Catcher in the Rye,’ ” he said, though he did end up being a good sport and going. After facing the stress of her DUI and distancing herself from brother Spencer, Stephanie told Lo that she felt like she was in a good place to start dating someone. And wouldn’t you know it, Lo had just the guy for her: her boyfriend Scott’s friend Max. Getting slightly ahead of herself, Stephanie wondered aloud how her potential date would react to her being 23 and sober. Lo told her not to worry. But Lo wasn’t the only girl dishing out relationship advice. Audrina met up for a chill evening at Kristin’s house, where they problem talked about Brody and Kristin’s little arrangement. “We’re having a good time,” Kristin explained. She then tried to dial up Brody on his cell, but the call went directly to voicemail, because Brody was on a date with new girl McKaela. “I have a no-phone-at-the-table rule,” McKaela informed him, prompting Brody to ignore the call. Brody rubbed his new flirtation in Kristin’s face even more by bringing McKaela out to meet the gang. “Kristin is going to flip out when she comes,” Audrina told Brody. Though Kristin didn’t necessarily “flip out,” she was visibly hurt by the slight — and the large amount of PDA going on between Brody and his date. After complaining to Kristin about how she was being unkind to his date, Brody and McKaela finally left the gathering for a little alone time. And then it was Stephanie’s turn to pursue new romantic possibilities. Stephanie went on a seemingly successful double date with new guy Max, with Lo and Scott in tow. At the end of the night, Max offered his jacket, and Stephanie offered her number. Kristin finally decided she needed to speak with Brody about what had happened a few nights before and went over to his condo for a chat, which quickly escalated into a heated argument. “You were being really rude being all over McKaela in front of me like that,” Kristin started. Brody replied that it was Kristin who had been rude by not paying attention to McKaela. By the time Brody finally admitted he liked both girls and was just having fun, Kristin had had enough. “I’m not going to wait around while you figure out what you want to do. It’s not fair,” she said. And with that, she stormed out of Brody’s condo. Do you think Brody and Kristin should get back together for real, or continue their casual relationship? Share your thoughts in the comments. “The Hills: Final Season” airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT every Tuesday, followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. The Hills Recap: Somebody Dates Stephanie Pratt

We don’t know what’s more unfortunate, that this Max guy was set up with Stephanie Pratt, or that The Hills is coming out with Stephanie Pratt story lines now. No disrespect to Stephanie Pratt , but … Stephanie Pratt? Last night’s The Hills , “A New Bird,” focused largely on Spencer’s sister. He was nowhere to be found. While a reprieve from Spencer Pratt can be a nice thing, let’s be honest, if there’s anything interesting about The Hills anymore, it’s watching Speidi meltdowns. What we’re left with in the wake of their odd, unexplained absence is a whole lot of filler. Here’s The Hollywood Gossip’s official Hills rundown, plus-minus style: Brody tells Kristin he may go on a date with a girl. Kristin isn’t seeing anyone else. Ah, friends with benefits at its best. Someone’s always let down. Plus 15 . Audrina invites Ryan out with her friends, and after some hesitation, he agrees. Too bad we already know Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera split. Minus 8 . Brody Jenner puts the moves on new chick McKaela . Brody’s new girl McKaela is new to L.A. and is looking for “genuine friends.” LOL. Plus 7 for the inevitable letdown that will result from taking that quest to The Hills . Stephanie says she feels like her life is finally coming together and she’s ready for a relationship and blah blah blah. Does anyone care at all? Minus 9 . Because no. Lo sets her up on a “blind” date. As in the producers of The Hills throwing darts at a wall full of dudes’ audition photos while blindfolded? That we could buy. Plus 3 . Charlie gives Brody tips on hooking up and staying single during a golf outing. Charlie. Always so calm and wise. Plus 5 for the increased screen time for this sage. Audrina also gives Stephanie some dating pointers. Minus 10 , ’cause this is not the person you want pointers from, unless your top priority is being walked all over. Dating Rule #1: No pouting. Rule #2: Tone down the makeup. Brody Jenner introduces McKaela to his friends and flirts with her in front of Kristin Cavallari. What a passive-aggressive move. But hey, they’re not dating, so Plus 8 . Lo helps Stephanie get ready for the big night. We keep expecting some big cat fight to liven it up a bit, but no, it really is just that boring. Minus 3 , because really? Kristin, like, can’t believe the next day that Brody did that with McKaela. Stacie reminds her they knew this wouldn’t end well. She’s like the female Charlie. Plus 4 . Stephanie quizzes Max on basic dating questions. “What’s your sign?” Really? This is what The Hills has devolved into? This is just coma-inducing stuff. Minus 27 . TOTAL: -15 . SEASON: +40 . Yeah. It’s looking more and more like this show can’t sustain whatever magic it once had, and needs to step it up or go away pronto.

The Hills Recap: Everybody Hates Spencer Pratt

Spencer Pratt is out of control. We’ve known this for some time at THG, but now it has gotten to the point where even his friends and family see he is losing it. Last night’s episode of The Hills, “This is Goodbye,” focused on Heidi’s husband’s deteriorating mental health, as well as Brody and Kristin’s renewed romance. Here’s The Hollywood Gossip’s official Hills rundown, plus-minus style: Holly and Stephanie lament being the only sane ones left in their families. Never mind that both of them have serious, well-publicized drinking issues. Plus 9 . After Holly rehashes how Spencer called the cops on Heidi’s mom , Steph says Speidi has no friends. Charlie is rolling in his grave as we speak. Minus 4 . Heidi and Kristin are friends? Were they always? Hard to keep track. Plus 3 . Spencer looks like he needs a hug. “Who am I without Spencer?” Heidi ponders. Hmm. Probably a reasonably cute, harmless, not brainwashed chick with friends and real-looking breasts. Minus 37 . Audrina Patridge visits her boyfriend Ryan Cabrera at the studio. He’s apparently still under contract? Minus 2 . But Plus 8 for his decision to skip that night’s drama. Venturing out of his hole for once, Spencer calls Audrina the “lamest girl in the club” which sparks an argument between himself and Brody. Like old times. Plus 5 . Heidi Montag has a threefold excuse for Spencer: 1. He has stuff on his mind ( Minus 3 ). 2. All guys are controlling ( Minus 6 ). 3. She changed herself ( Minus 12 ). Most awkward clubbing moments ever: Heidi Montag shows her crystals collection to Kristin as Spencer says Heidi doesn’t watch TV or use the computer. Plus 20 . OMG, Brody and Kristin are, like, so meant to be … but single! Holly and Stephanie say they are done with Heidi and Spencer, while Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner get down on the floor and eventually leave together. Plus 9 . The next day, Kristin says what they have going is good, whatever it is. Brody says he likes being single, and Kristin does too. Holla at friends with benefits! Plus 18 . Obligatory Lo scene! Steph says that she is flipping between being angry and sad over Heidi and Spencer. Blah, blah, blah. Stephanie and Lo are so boring. Minus 7 . The girls all are told by MTV agree to completely cut off Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Pratt. No communication at all. Plus 5 for effort, but we give it about half an episode. TOTAL: +4 . SEASON: +55 . Basically, it was an episode in which everyone agrees Speidi is insane, and Brody macked on Kristin. Boilerplate stuff, but we’ll take it.

Kristin Cavallari: What Drug Problem?

In the first episode of the Hills’ maybe-final season, Audrina Patridge, Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth confronted Kristin Cavallari about too much partying. We’ll have a recap of all that action for you a little later, but for now Kristin tells E! she has no such problem, and that the accusations came out of nowhere. “I went out in Miami and for Super Bowl and had a good time,” Cavallari said. “I’m allowed to do that. But the fact that these girls accuse me of doing drugs, which, by the way, when they bring it up, it’s so out of left field.” She thought they were kidding: “I mean, I think I started laughing … For them to even accuse me of that kind of thing is so crazy, but it is what it is.” Indeed it is . Kristin laughs off her friends’ concerns . Kristin Cavallari may be thinking about giving it another romantic go with Brody Jenner if the producers tell her to circumstances are right but right now the show’s resident bad girl is absolutely, positively single. “I’m not dating anyone!” The Hills starlet tells us. “It’s hard to meet people in L.A., and if I get serious with someone, I don’t want to put them on the show.” Fair enough, so what about all those reports of her spending time with Paris Hilton and Lauren Conrad’s ex-boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, at Coachella recently? “I’ve known Doug since I was 15 years old,” Cavallari laughed. “Yeah, I saw him there, but not like that. I’m not going to live my life off of stupid celebrity gossip … We’ve been friends for almost 10 years.” Unneeded tabloid attention aside, Cavallari doesn’t regret returning to The Hills: “I’ve had such a great time and it’s been great on so many levels.” In other Cavallari news, she says Dancing With the Stars has come calling. “A few different seasons … I don’t think I could do it. I have a serious fear of public speaking, let along dancing in front of all those people. I’d be a nervous wreck.” Now, strutting around in a bikini, that’s a different ballgame.

The Hills: The Most Unforgettable Moments

The Hills returns tonight for its final season … most likely. It could be extended a bit . Regardless, here’s a look back at some moments that defined its first five: FORGET PARIS : In the first season finale, Lauren Conrad made a brutal mistake that would haunt her for two more years, choosing to spend the summer with tool Jason Wahler over accompanying Teen Vogue editor Lisa Love to Paris. Fortunately, Whitney Port stepped in and fast-tracked her fashion career. Not that LC is hurting for cash, or boyfriends. Kyle Howard’s a big upgrade over J-Wahl. FALLING DOWN : As a Teen Vogue intern, Whitney endeared herself to millions after what could have been her worst moment, falling on stage after Vogue tapped her to model Hilary Swank’s Oscar gown on Good Morning America . The way she composed herself and handled the embarrassment with grace and dignity only impressed the higher-ups more, though (sorry to rehash this, Whit). Two prominent former loves of Lauren Conrad . THE LC SEX TAPE : It did not exist, but boy, did it spark a lot of celebrity gossip. Spencer Pratt (and in turn, THG) got so much mileage out of this twisted rumor. BABY MAMA DRAMA : More than once, Heidi Montag has effed with Spencer regarding pregnancy. All a big hoax to watch him squirm? We’re all for it even if so. KISSING BRODY J : Everybody does it at some point, but Lauren and he had such chemistry. Still, despite the Las Vegas birthday hookup, Brody Jenner and Conrad determined they work better as friends, which they’ve remained since. THE TRANSFORMATION OF HEIDI MONTAG’S FACE : Enough said, and ongoing. WORSE THAN HEIDI : LC accused Audrina Patridge of insinuating she hooked up with Justin-Bobby – and that Audzo is worse than Heidi Montag as a result. A shot from Heidi and Spencer’s wedding – the non-staged version . CAREER EVOLUTION : The show began with a focus on young women and careers in L.A., then became about quasi-celebs whose careers were being on The Hills . THE WEDDING : Heidi and Spencer’s wedding had something old, new, borrowed and even blue … the dresses worn by both Lauren Conrad and her old nemesis, Kristin Cavallari , who replaced her as the star of the show. Cold, MTV. Cold . F*%KING PIRANHAS : Kristin didn’t wait long to stir up trouble, calling out Audrina and Stephanie Pratt and declaring “you f*%ked with the WRONG girl.” GROSS LOVE TRIANGLE : On a list of things we didn’t need to spend a full season watching, Kristin and Audrina fighting over Justin-Bobby would be tops.

Lo Bosworth Calls ‘The Hills’ Final Season A ‘Momentous Occasion’

‘I’m sad that it’s coming to an end,’ she says of season six, which premieres tonight at 10 p.m. on MTV. By Jocelyn Vena Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth Photo: MTV News Lo Bosworth made her reality-TV debut as a high schooler (and Lauren Conrad’s bestie) on “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” eventually easing into her role as self-proclaimed gossip on “The Hills.” Now, Bosworth is more amped than ever for the final season’s big premiere Tuesday night (April 27). “I’m actually really excited!” she told MTV News. “You know, in seasons past, [the premieres] sort of [just] happened, but I think I’m looking forward to it, because it is the last season. So it’s sort of a big moment for all of us. I’m actually excited about the content on the show this season. It’s a momentous occasion in my life.” Between the two series, Bosworth has spent years in front of the camera. While she admitted she’s happy to be moving on, saying goodbye is still bittersweet: “It’s sort of a mixture of feelings — a little bit relief, a little bit sadness. “Everybody’s really excited to be moving on,” she added. “It’s … the nature of the beast. The filming of the show this season has truly been one of the best. I’m sad that it’s coming to an end.” The season-six premiere will touch on some hot-button subjects, from Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery to Kristin Cavallari addressing rumors about her hard-partying ways. Bosworth thinks those story lines will give fans what they’ve come to expect (and more) from “The Hills.” “I think viewers are really excited to get the real story. We didn’t know if the show was going to go on without Lauren at all,” Bosworth said of LC’s departure in season five. “Having Kristin, the show was an experiment, and definitely one that succeeded. I think she’s a huge part of bringing the cast together, and I think she does a really great job.” What are you most looking forward to in the final season of “The Hills”? Tell us in the comments! “The Hills: Final Season” premieres tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
