Late Night Highlights: Jay Goes Undercover and Jon Stewart Attacks Fox News

Twitter is literally ruining late night. Case in point: last night’s Late Show with David Letterman , where guest Demi Moore used her first segment to explain Twitter (before reading a text message aloud from her husband). For her second segment, the Joneses star staged a Twit pic with the host. Forget the fact that Moore pulled the same schtick over at the Tonight Show last week. This social networking phenomenon is breeding a late night trend that must be stopped. The proof, as well as the actually entertaining highlights you missed last night while taking your last holiday hit , after the jump.

Late Night Highlights: A Batman Showdown with Adam West and KFC’s Double Down with Stephen Colbert

The late night commentary on Conan’s big move to TBS has been disappointing, mostly because there has not been much of it. David Letterman is dark this week. Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson are silent on the matter. And Jay Leno is so crestfallen by the news that his bandleader Kevin Eubanks is leaving , that he can only spend his monologue energy on jokes about cats parallel parking cars . Don’t worry though — George Lopez is excited enough for everyone. Click through for his latest batch of LOCO -themed material and the other highlights you missed last night while updating your bandleader resume .

Late Night Highlights: An SNL Reunion, Tiger Woods-Young Frankenstein Mashup and the Taiwanese Whitney

It has been a long promotional ride for Tina Fey, whose Date Night duties took her from the Ed Sullivan Theater (where she shared stories about Tracy Morgan on-set ) to the UK (where she revealed a ConanGate-esque plot twist ahead on 30 Rock ), to Chicago (where she taped an episode of Oprah ) and then back to New York City again to prepare for this weekend’s Saturday Night Live . After the jump, watch Fey unwind from her travels with Amy Poehler as well as the other highlights you missed last night while updating your Twitter feed about a lazy serial killer , after the jump.

Late Night Highlights: Kristen Bell Welcomes Craig Ferguson’s Robot Sidekick and Jay Smooches Ellen

Last night, Craig Ferguson finally unveiled his new robot sidekick, Geoff Peterson, a smartly dressed skeleton constructed by Mythbusters guru Grant Imahara. Geoff may not have Andy Richter’s one-liners but he is equipped with pre-recorded responses (“You’re the man.”) and a few movements than can be controlled by the host from his desk. The Late Late Night show celebrated Geoff’s with a musical cold open and then a sit-down with one of the show’s favorite guests, Kristen Bell, who tested Geoff’s tolerance with a story about her own dietary intolerance. Those moments, and the other highlights you missed last night while reviewing your Easter Egg Roll performance , after the jump.

Jimmy Fallon Finds Pants on His iPad

The only thing more appealing today than paying extra money to see the crappy 3D conversion of Clash of the Titans ? Spending over $500 on a brand, spanking new iPad that will be rendered obsolete in six months when the second generation comes out! That said, the chances are good that at least some of you are probably reading this on an iPad right this second. And for those of you still in the nether region of indecision, last night’s episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon might push you to join them. Fallon spoke with Engadget editor Joshua Topolsky about Apple’s newest gotta have it device and it looks awesome (or at least more awesome than when Stephen Colbert was cutting up vegetables with his). After the jump, watch as Topolsky does his best Steve Jobs impersonation and learn how you can even use the iPad to find bootleg YouTube videos of Jimmy Fallon-as-Neil Young performing “Pants on the Ground.”

The Best Signs From Stephen Colbert’s Visit To Vancouver

The best signs at the Olympics have been at the Stephen Colbert Show tapings, obviously. FYI, the “Cripples For Colbert” sign was held by two people in wheelchairs…so that makes it okay. View

Stephen Colbert Can’t Cover The Olympics Without Getting Sued

Stephen Colbert's coverage of the Olympic games hit a snag Monday night when he was informed that NBC has a stranglehold on everything Olympic related. NBC's grip is so tight, he can't even show any geometric shapes of any size or color without getting sued. If he wants to show the Olympic rings, they must be pixelated. If he wants to say “Olympic coverage,” he…well he can't. Luckily he's come up with a better name for the games: “Quadrennial Cold Weather Athletic Competition.” Click link for video added by: Future_America
