Mother Kris Jenner’s demands for editorial control reportedly kill family’s deal with American Media Inc. It seems that several of the family’s in-the-works projects are no longer in the works. The New York Post is reporting that Kris Jenner’s demands have killed a deal that would have seen publishers American Media Inc., the company behind The National Enquirer and Star, creating a Kardashian-themed magazine. Sources say that mama Jenner tried to play hardball with the publishers, demanding that she get full editorial approval when it comes to Kardashian-related content in any and all of the magazines the company publishes. “AMI chief David Pecker made it clear that there was no way he was going to tell his editors what stories they could and couldn’t do,” a source explained, adding that the company “balked” at her stipulation. Perhaps in response, Star magazine recently published a cover story claiming that the late Robert Kardashian is not Khloe’s biological father . Speaking to MTV News, a source close to the negotiations took no issue with the accuracy of the story, hinting that the deal is indeed dead in the water. A rep for the family told the Post, “Kris has never had a conversation with AMI regarding this issue [of her demands]. But the allegations contained in the Star article about Khloe not being a Kardashian are completely fabricated, false and untrue. Robert Kardashian is absolutely her biological father, so of course she was upset over their story.” It’s not the only blow the Kardashian brand is being dealt. According to previous reports, the ladies had been in talks with Mattel to work on their own Kardashian-themed Barbie dolls . It seems, however, that those plans have also been shelved. Finding Nemo, the undersea classic from Disney and Pixar, returns to theaters in 3D this September. The 2003 hit won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Albert Brooks stars as Marlin, a maligned clownfish determined to rescue son Nemo, who was scooped up by an Aussie diver and placed in a tank with other captives. Ellen DeGeneres is Dory, Marlin’s lovable, memory-challenged sidekick. Visually stunning then, and even now in standard definition, it should look even more so in three dimensions. Khloe Kardashian is fighting back. Faced with a tabloid claim – initiated by two former stepmoms – that she’s the result of an affair Kris Jenner engaged in many years ago, the reality star has taken to Twitter and slammed Jan Ashley and Ellen Kardashian, both of whom were married to her father, Robert, and both of whom tell Star Magazine that Khloe is NOT actually a Kardashian . “The audacity you have to mention my father’s name like this! Should be ashamed of urself! I let a lot of things slide but this one is really low… YOU ARE DISGUSTING! (yes you know who YOU are).” Family reps also tell TMZ the report is ” untrue ” and the Kardashians are hurt over the public allegations. Kris Jenner finds them “ridiculous.” It takes a whole lot to have us side with this attention-starved wastes of quality television airtime… but this story does seem especially salacious, even for a supermarket tabloid.

Andy Cohen faced the press/fire this week at the Television Critics Association, answering questions about the new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and, specifically, why Russell Armstrong has been featured despite his suicide in August. “He was given the option to not come back or come back and he chose to come back,” Cohen said. “He had spoken to producers a lot vocally about how it had helped his business being on the show, so you know, I can’t speak to that.” In an interview prior to the new season airing, Armstrong referred to the show as phony BS , warning that producers edit every action and every conversation. Did they ever considering cutting him entirely from the show, following his death? “We had many discussions, as you can imagine, for a long time about how to do the serious discussions,” said Cohen. “And I think what emerged is the story of a woman trying to extricate herself from a bad, broken marriage in which she was unhappy and in which domestic violence played a part.
