Lady Gaga Sends Love To Clarence Clemons On Twitter

‘Can we all make some get-well videos?’ Gaga requests of her Little Monsters. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/ WireImage Clarence Clemons is reportedly “responsive and in stable condition” after two brain surgeries, according to Bruce Springsteen fansite Backstreets.com . The E Street Band member suffered a stroke on Sunday and is now reportedly on the mend. “Yesterday, it did not look good at all. Today … miracles are happening. His vital signs are improving. He’s responsive. His eyes are welling up when we’re talking to him. He was paralyzed on his left side, but now he’s squeezing with his left hand,” a source close to the musician tells the site. “This is the best news we’ve heard since [the stroke] happened — it’s nothing short of miraculous. The next five days will still be critical. But he’s a fighter.” Fox New York confirmed the report. A rep for Springsteen had not responded to MTV News’ request for comment or further information on Clemons’ condition by press time. Lady Gaga, who worked with Clemons on her Born This Way album, took to Twitter to send love and well-wishes to the saxophonist. “Little monsters, my very close friend +musician on ‘The Edge of Glory’ Clarence Clemons is very sick,” she wrote. “Can we all make some get-well videos?” “Edge of Glory” producer Fernando Garibay recently recalled to MTV News Gaga’s desire to get the musician on the song, which she wrote as an ode to her grandfather. “As soon as she was done with it, we said, ‘Let’s go with it.’ I think it’s very epic. It’s an emotional song,” Garibay said. As for Clemons’ appearance on the song, he added, “She wanted a sax part, so he came in and played on ‘Edge of Glory,’ and what a moment that was to have her family there when the sax was being played on the track and it was all really magical. “Clarence Clemons came to the city; we were in New York,” he continued. “He heard the song twice. We set up a mic and everything [and he] just played live all the way through. It was kind of one take. It was really amazing.” Related Videos Track By Track: Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Related Artists Lady Gaga

Cassie To Nylon Mag: New Album Is “Gwen Stefani Meets Aaliyah” [PHOTOS]

Visit link:

Cassie is featured in Nylon magazine’s June/July “Music Issue.” Inside, she talks about music (her inspiration, iPod, favorite Pandora station and new album), as well as her fashion sense & style. Tell us about your new album. It’s a cool blend of pop, hip-hop and ska. It’s urban Gwen Stefani meets Aaliyah. I hate referencing people but if you had to compare, that’s it. Who do you want to collaborate with? It’s pretty unattainable but I would love to work with Prince. Do you consider yourself a model or musician? Musician because I love being creative and letting myself be emotional in that moment. Describe your personal style. Right now I’m in my tomboy phase. I wear my Jordans and flannel shirts. Do you have an item of clothing that you can’t live without? My black leather Balmain pants. They have a rip at the knee that I have never fixed and I will never throw them out. What’s currently on your iPod? I’m playing my new stuff and the new Britney Spears album. I have phases when I listen to an album over and over again. Three months ago, it was The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill . What do you listen to on a lazy Sunday? I just downloaded 21 by Adele, which is a good vibe for those days. Pandora is amazing if you put it on the right channel – like the Maxwell channel. Do you come from a musical family? My dad plays the trumpet, my brother the drums, and my mom the piano. I played the piano, too. I’m not as good as I used to be, but I can still read music. Did NBA’s Rashard Lewis Sleep With LeBron James’ Girlfriend Savannah Brinson?

Here is the original post:

Looks like LeBron James’ lackluster performance in this year’s NBA playoffs may be related to some rumored off the court drama. Word on the street is that Rashard Lewis of the Washington Wizards slept with LeBron’s girl Savannah while he was visiting South Beach! Here’s what we found out : I have a very reliable source who clubs and drinks with all of the athletes that come through Orlando. He was all over the Tiger Woods issue and knew what all happened with Tiger prior to it being released publicly. My buddy has a place in Orlando, Lake Nona to be exact, and he lives among some athletes that live there in Orlando. Needless to say he golfs, drinks, and parties with some of the best people in central Florida. So when word got to him while at the bar last night, he called me. Word got out while drinking with friends, that Rashard Lewis slept with Lebrons girl while visiting South Beach. ESPN’s analyst Stephen A. Smith recently said on his radio show that Bron Bron is going through personal off court issues and that’s the reason for his poor play in the finals. Trae Tha Truth Reaches For The Crown On Undisputed

Houston MC talks to Mixtape Daily about teaming with host Don Cannon and a gang of rap faves like Wiz Khalifa on latest tape. By Rob Markman Trae The Truth Photo: A.B.N. Don’t Sleep: Necessary Notables Headliner : Trae Tha Truth Mixtape : Undisputed Key Cameo : “Getting Paid,” featuring Wiz Khalifa Essential Info : A lot of MCs claim to be your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper, but judging from the amount of love that Houston’s Trae Tha Truth has been receiving lately, he may have sole claim to that crown. Just check the track list on his latest mixtape, Undisputed, which includes appearances by Young Jeezy, Pusha T, Rick Ross and Wiz Khalifa. It’s clear that Trae gets his respect. Undisputed comes as Trae is putting the finishing touches on his new studio album, Street King. The tape is hosted by DJ Don Cannon, and for Trae, the union between he and Cannon, is significant. “It was kinda something that was overdue with me and Cannon’s career. We’ve been in the talks of it for a minute but we both was real tied up,” he told Mixtape Daily. “Cannon actually hit me maybe two to three weeks before we put it out and was like, ‘It’s time.’ When he told me it was time, I came back into Houston , kinda stopped what I was doing, and got it going.” Despite being well-respected in the industry, Trae still feels that he and Cannon have a long way to go in terms of mainstream notice. “We were doing the tape just off the strength of us, just because we feel a lot of people overlook me for what I do on the music and a lot of people overlook him as far as what he do on the DJ game,” Trae explained. “We’re both household names, but we still gotta show a lot of people what it is.” Driven by hard-core street cuts like “Gettin Paid,” featuring Wiz Khalifa, Trae continues to reign as underground rap royalty, his stock rising with each release. On “Inkredible (Remix),” producer StreetRunner adds a new beat to Trae’s 2010 single, while Jadakiss adds a new verse. Now that the tape has dropped, Trae seems to have picked up the right momentum as he prepares the release of his full-length Street King on June 28. A week before the album’s release date, Trae will touch down in New York City for a rare headlining performance at SOB’s. Fred the Godson and French Montana are already confirmed guests, but Trae promised Mixtape Daily that there’ll be some surprises. Lady Gaga Fans Launch Twitter War With Black Keys Drummer

Patrick Carney earned the wrath of Little Monsters by comparing Gaga to Madonna on Twitter. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney is a man who seems to grasp the power and purpose of Twitter — namely, using it to mess with Bravo TV star Bethenny Frankel and profess his love for condiments . So it was probably a bit of a shock when, after writing a seemingly innocuous tweet about Lady Gaga, he bore the full brunt of her (very angry) Little Monsters. It all started last month, when Carney sized up Gaga’s “Saturday Night Live” performance by writing , simply, “Madonna is killing it!” The comment went largely unnoticed by Gaga’s fans, and Carney returned to important things like tweeting with Ke$ha about shrimp. But then, he dared to compare Gaga to Madonna once again, and, to borrow a phrase from Calvin Tran , “Oh, here go hell come.” Gaga’s fans picked up on the tweet, and soon began inundating Carney’s Twitter account with a steady torrent of vicious hate that quickly escalated to a full-on downpour of acrimony. So, he did what any self-respecting Twitter-head would do: retweeted the best of the worst. In fact, all day Monday (June 6), Carney’s Twitter account was nothing but a stream of profanity-laced, poorly-punctuated vitriol from Little Monsters, who called him “an ugly ass bitch,” compared him to “the kid in the wheelchair on ‘Glee’ ” and even threatened him with bodily harm. For his part, Carney helped stoke the flames by pointing out that Gaga’s anti-bullying message didn’t really seem to be translating to her fans. “Hey, little monsters! Everyone knows lady gaga sounds nothing at all like Madonna. I was joking! I am so depressed,” he wrote , adding that he was heading to Red Lobster. The tweets don’t seem to be losing steam too quickly. As of Tuesday morning (June 7), Carney was still RT’ing some of the zestier messages he’d received from Gaga fans, and he summed up the whole experience by complaining that @Bethenny had replied to one of his brother’s tweets, but not his (link), proving that, much like life, the Twitter-verse is, in fact, cyclical. Justin Bieber, Chris Brown’s ‘Next 2 U’ Video Leaks

Early cut of clip depicts dramatic love stories for both singers intertwined with apocalyptic theme. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: Getty Director Colin Tilley promised that the video for Chris Brown and Justin Bieber’s “Next 2 U” would be “big,” and a leaked early cut of the video is just that. The whole thing plays out like a movie, complete with dialogue, drama lots of action, and of course, singing and dancing. It opens with Brown and his love interest dancing, kissing and joking around with one another. Justin Bieber is then seen hugging and kissing his girlfriend and telling her, “I’ve been waiting for you all day,” before presenting her with a necklace. Things get dark when the pair are caught together by her dad, who then takes her away. “I told you not to see him again,” he tells his daughter. Bieber’s story is intercut with Brown’s. Brown is dreaming of his girl when he looks outside and sees that the world appears to be ending around them. Cars are exploding and people are running around in a panic. As the destruction continues, Brown stands in the street singing the love song. Meanwhile, Bieber stands on a rooftop, pining for his lady, also singing the tune. More shots of each of the happy couples play as reminders of times when things weren’t so uncertain. Viewers are reminded of the destruction by the song’s lyrics, “One day when the sky is falling/ I’ll be standing right next to you/ Right next to you.” The couples do eventually make their way back to one another, but it’s not all peachy keen when they do. Just as Brown finally meets up with his love interest after running through the streets, she’s hit by a car. As the video closes out, a big dance break takes place as Bieber’s lady runs around trying to find him. They meet up on the roof where he was singing, and it appears that both couples will somehow survive their tragedies. Before the video leaked, Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, seemed confident that fans wouldn’t be disappointed by the clip. He tweeted , “Just saw a rough cut of the #NEXT2YOU video with @justinbieber and @chrisbrown ! @ColinTilley is goin’ in!!” What do you think of the rough cut of Bieber and Brown’s “Next 2 U” video?
