This all started a few weeks before Justin came to Spain. I…

This all   started   a few weeks   before Justin came to Spain. I was   looking at   the Fan Club here, when   suddenly I saw   that   Justin   will be doing a   signing   in   Spain !   I started   crying   all over the   house   and   quickly   called   Inés.   She   did not   understand   anything   because I was so   nervous .   I repeated   it   and we said that we had   to   convince   our   parents to take us.   Her parents didn’t let her so then it was my turn . My mum said: “That day you have school, so no Irene”. I was like: “Butbutbutubutbutbutbut mum, it’s Justin Bieber!”. So everyday I would repeat it 200 times, and finally my parents said okay! My friend Inés also ended up coming with me. When that day arrived, we could not sleep. It was 29-11-10. That morning we went to school while my dad was waiting in the lineup. Finally   it was time   to   go. When we were on the street, we saw LOTS of Beliebers. There was a lot of people, but we were the frist on the queue, so Justin will sign our CDs, and we also bought his bracelets. When Justin arrived we couldn’t stop screaming. He signed Inés first, and then to mine. I said, “Thank you” (yeah, in English, and I’m from Spain). He smiled to me and Kenny said, “Gracias, gracias” ( in Spanish) and I started to scream. Then he sang some songs, and he was very nice! Never say never and you can have a Bieber experience like this too. Thank you Justin, we love you! -@spain_justin Continued here: This all started a few weeks before Justin came to Spain. I…

Kid Cudi Calls ‘Marijuana’ Video An ‘R.I.P. To My Smoking Career’

‘It’s the last time you will ever see me smoking,’ Cudi tells MTV News of Shia LaBeouf-directed clip. By Rob Markman Kid Cudi Photo: MTV News The lonely stoner may have quit smoking herb, but Kid Cudi’s latest video, “Marijuana,” will always serve as a reminder of his high times. The clip, which was shot and directed by Cudder’s actor pal Shia LaBeouf, was filmed in Amsterdam back in 2010 when Cudi served as a judge for the Cannabis Cup. LaBeouf originally reached out to Cudi through their mutual friend Cage because he wanted to shoot a short film centered around “MANIAC,” a song on Cudi’s second album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. “While we were brainstorming that, I had the gig to perform in Amsterdam. I was thinking about ways to do a video for ‘Marijuana’ because I knew I wanted to do something and I wanted to do the right thing,” Cudi told MTV News from the set of his HBO series “How to Make It in America.” “And it just hit me one day, like, ‘Yo, I can have Shia come with me and film the whole trip and we could do it like a real vintage documentary style of the entire trip.’ What could be iller than that?” The video shows Cudi and Cage arriving in Amsterdam, moving through a restaurant, their hotel and the famed red-light district smoking exotic strains of weed. Aesthetically, the “Marijuana” video comes off like old home footage thanks to LaBeouf’s 8 mm and 16 mm cameras. “That’s why it looks real vintage; that’s not an effect,” Cudi said. Some fans were confused by the video , however, given that on April 1, Kid Cudi announced on his Tumblr page that he had given up smoking weed. The singer/actor assures us that nothing has changed. “It’s something I did before I decided to quit smoking marijuana,” Cudders explained of the video. “However, I didn’t want to deprive people of the footage, deprive people of the video because of my personal decisions. It was almost like an R.I.P. video to my whole smoking career.” For Mr. Solo Dolo, there is no turning back; he insists that he is done with herb. “That was a big, big, memorable moment for me and watching it reminds me of those good times we had,” he said. “It’s kinda like the last hoorah, the last time you will ever see me smoking.” Related Artists Kid Cudi

‘X-Men: First Class’: The Reviews Are In!

‘McAvoy and Fassbender are a casting triumph,’ EW ‘s Lisa Schwarzbaum writes. By Terri Schwartz Michael Fassbender in “X-Men: First Class” Photo: Murray Close Now that we’ve introduced you to the mutants of “X-Men: First Class,” movie reviewers are saying you might want to take that relationship to the next level. Heralded as the best installment in the franchise since the Bryan Singer-directed “X2,” Matthew Vaughn’s take on the “X-Men” story is said to be both smart and action-packed. At the top of the pile of praise are leads James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, whom reviewers are commending for their roles whether they liked the film or not. The rest of the supporting cast, from Jennifer Lawrence to Kevin Bacon, are receiving plenty of love as well. Dissenters might find flaws with the movie’s pacing or the way it strays from the previous films’ and comics’ mythology, but the underlying message is that this is the summer blockbuster that fans have been waiting for. The Story “Fortunately for the film, the missile crisis puts an end to the dramatic lull. As soon as war threatens, ‘X-Men: First Class’ regains its momentum, and then some, with Strangelovian twists — a circular war room, a rogue vessel that can’t be reached — and a climax that uses newsreel clips of President Kennedy on TV to lend credibility to an exuberant rearrangement of history. This fifth episode in the series isn’t a masterpiece — one puzzlement is the uneven cinematography — but it’s summer entertainment of a very high grade that leaves you with an appetite for more of the same with the same core cast. And a couple of uncredited cameos turn the neat trick of being revenants from the future.” — Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal The Leads “To get to the headline immediately, McAvoy and Fassbender are a casting triumph. These two have, yes, real star magnetism, both individually and together: They’re both cool and intense, suave and unaffected, playful and dead serious about their grand comic-book work. I hope movie-studio telepaths reteam the two in the future.” — Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly The Legacy “In fact, roughly the first half of this massive and very well-cast origins extravaganza is arguably the best hour of Marvel Comics-derived filmmaking among the torrent of it that’s cascaded across screens in recent years. Audacious, confident and fueled by youthful energy, this is a surefire summer winner for a wide global audience.” — Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporter The “Bond” Connection “In all but name, ‘First Class’ is a Bond movie, from the Cold War scheming of rival superpowers to the script’s plethora of glamorous or treacherous locations — right up to the end, with an animated credits sequence very much in the spirit of Maurice Binder’s work on the Bonds. Above all, it [features] a handsome, platinum-jawed agent: Erik [Lehnsherr, portrayed by Fassbender], with Sean Connery’s aplomb and Daniel Craig’s ruthless determination. (In this context, the more thoughtful, sedentary Charles Xavier [McAvoy] is M to Erik’s Bond.)” — Richard Corliss, Time The Final Word “It’s remarkable how many things ‘First Class’ gets right, whether it’s the decision to have characters speak different languages as the film’s frequent globe-trotting dictates, or the casting of Fassbender and McAvoy, who bear no resemblance to their respective older counterparts (Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart) but perfectly capture Charles and Erik’s symbolic might-vs.-right dynamic.” — Justin Chang, Variety Check out everything we’ve got on “X-Men: First Class.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . Lady Gaga Says Born This Way Is ‘Absolutely’ Not Worth More Than 99 Cents

‘I applaud a company like Amazon for equating the value of digital versus the physical copy,’ Gaga tells The Wall Street Journal. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Getty Images Ever since Lady Gaga’s Born This Way was released on May 23, much has been made of its pricing and promotion, a multi-tiered plan that included partnerships with everyone from the folks behind “FarmVille” to Best Buy … and, of course, Amazon.com, which decided to price the album at 99 cents on the day of release to promote its Cloud Drive service (and when the download demand subsequently sank the site, they extended the deal for a second day). According to some estimates , downloads through Amazon accounted for nearly half of Born This Way ‘s 1.1 million sales — which certainly proved that it worked — but at the same time, it also sparked genuine debate about the inherent worth of an album … and whether the Amazon model may have fundamentally changed the way new releases are promoted and priced. So, in a new interview with The Wall Street Journal , Gaga was asked whether she believed that Born This Way was worth more than 99 cents. And her answer was somewhat surprising. “No. I absolutely do not, especially for MP3s and digital music. It’s invisible. It’s in space. If anything, I applaud a company like Amazon for equating the value of digital versus the physical copy, and giving the opportunity to everyone to buy music,” she said. “It also wasn’t really 99 cents, because Amazon paid the difference on all of those purchases as part of their promotional campaign for one of their new services. I think it’s amazing and it was a really nice surprise and I felt honored that they chose my record to be part of it.” Amazon would be paying the difference on all those 99-cent purchases to Interscope/ Universal Music Group — a tab that could run as high $3.2 million, according to Billboard.biz — but in the long run, that loss might actually be viewed as a win, since it drove traffic to the site and raised awareness of its fledgling Cloud Drive service. And Gaga is the first to admit that the plan isn’t for everyone … it’s up to individual artists (and their labels) to determine a price point. But she’s happy with the results this time out. “I don’t know if other artists or other companies would want to adopt the same model,” she told the WSJ . “Everyone always has the opportunity to sell their music at any price they want to. This sort of happened this way and it’s very exciting.” Related Videos Lady Gaga: Inside The Outside Related Artists Lady Gaga

Slutty Scientologist. I mean she must not be taking her religion very seriously, maybe because it isn’t an actual religion, but a cult for Rich people who believe in a scam created by a sci-fi writer, or maybe because all of hollywood are just full of shit… Cuz the religious people I know, or see on the street, or come knocking on my door with notices of how man is killing the world, from Jesus people, to Jews, to Arabs, they’d never be this exposed, even on the beach, not that they’d ever be on the beach, because they’re free time is sprent preaching the word of the lord or some shit… Here are some reliously imprisioned legs on the beach cuz they are not allowed to wear a bikini cuz alien vengeance from their alien god would strike down from above…but maybe she should push the limits like a teenage girl girl rebelling against their uptight upbringing, cuz I always love watching the ex-catholic school girls masturbating with crucifixes out of spite, it’s erotic.

‘The Beaver’: The Reviews Are In!

Critics find it difficult to separate Mel Gibson’s personal life from troubled character. By Kara Warner Mel Gibson in “The Beaver” Photo: Summit Entertainment After release date changes and several other unrelated misfortunes, “The Beaver” is finally bowing in New York City and Los Angeles, with other cities to follow May 20. Starring Mel Gibson, Anton Yelchin, Jodie Foster (who also directed) and Jennifer Lawrence (in a supporting role), the film revolves around Walter Black, a once stellar CEO suffering from severe depression, until he discovers a Beaver puppet he uses as a therapeutic tool to help him reclaim his former self. So what do the critics think? Of the 70-plus reviews up on Rotten Tomatoes , 51 deemed it “fresh,” giving it a 70 percent fresh rating. The most interesting aspect is how each reviewer chooses to address the subject of the “Gibson drama.” The Story ” ‘The Beaver’ is almost successful, despite the premise of its screenplay, which I was simply unable to accept. I concede it is possible that a man in depression might be able to heal himself by projecting his personality into a hand puppet. I am not sure it is possible, or even advisable, to make a serious movie about that. We go through the movie with Mel Gibson wearing a toothy beaver on his left hand, and that creates a whole lot of disbelief for us to suspend. — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun Times The Performances “So what’s to recommend in ‘The Beaver’? First but not least, Jennifer Lawrence playing Norah. I wish this hadn’t been her first released film since ‘Winter’s Bone’; the role doesn’t deserve her. Still, she fills every moment of it — even a manipulative graduation speech — with warmth and graceful intelligence. Then there’s the man to the right of the puppet, by turns tortured, morose, animated or charming. When I first met Mel Gibson in Sydney almost 35 years ago, he was a handsome young actor with an open face, a winning smile, an abundant gift and a bright future, although no one could have imagined the extent of his success, or the depth of his fall. The gift remains.” — Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal Tiptoeing Around the Gibson Drama “As someone observes in the movie, ‘People love a train wreck when it’s not happening to them.’ How strange that this movie should seem to be commenting on Gibson himself, when it was filmed before his recent public scandals. Further, how strange that the movie should seem like an apology, recorded in advance — or that we should feel like accepting the apology, when we weren’t the ones who were wronged.” — Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle “I know I shouldn’t allow my feelings about a performer in ‘real life’ to affect my view of him or her on film, but that’s like a judge telling a jury to ignore damning evidence they’ve already heard. Gibson has always excelled at playing men on the edge — apparently for good reason — and this part takes that to an extreme, a place he’s perfectly willing to go.” — Leonard Maltin, for IndieWire The Director “Foster clearly knows she’s telling a very messy, unmanageable story. The puppet seems to know it too: Sometimes its face looks cute and cheerful; other times, you catch a demented gleam in its eyes. Foster has crept out on a limb here, showing us a grown-up human being who’s in terrible pain, and for whom there are no easy answers. And if ‘The Beaver’ isn’t as effective as it ought to be, at least there’s integrity in Foster’s approach. She doesn’t work the movie like a puppet; she lets it speak for itself.” — Stephanie Zacharek, MovieLine The Final Word, Pro-Con-Pro Style “It’s hard to imagine anyone other than Gibson, with his wounded gaze and eloquent variations of posture, bringing such resonance to this character. At one point Walter says, ‘People seem to love a train wreck, as long as it’s not them’ — and the real-life overtone is unmistakable. The redemption the movie most strongly suggests is Mel Gibson’s own.” — Kurt Loder, Reason.com “Maybe Ms. Foster thought she was doing Mr. Gibson a favor by showing that he could play a troubled man who simply needs help. The problem is that, as an actor, Mr. Gibson doesn’t do normal anymore and is at his best playing men on the verge, as in ‘Edge of Darkness,’ a thriller about a cop hunting his daughter’s murderer. It was a suitably blunt character for an actor who has become a blunt instrument and has a lock on loony tuners and angry patriarchs. That should make Walter a fine fit for Mr. Gibson, except that there’s no there there to the character, just a puppet with a bad attitude and good timing. A raggedy rage-aholic, it steals the show, handily. Take away his puppet, and the man disappears.” — Manohla Dargis, The New York Times “Foster merits praise for putting her energy into a movie about mental illness that goes beyond the slickness of ‘As Good as It Gets,’ in which a happy ending can be spun from a patient’s mere promise to take his medication. There is one element of ‘The Beaver’ that does reflect a Hollywood sensibility: Walter’s breakdown never threatens the family financially. The narrative would have more tension if they didn’t appear so comfortably padded in a Nancy Meyers-like milieu. (Meyers directed Gibson in 2000’s ‘What Women Want,’ a feel-good movie that now seems very far in his past.) But despite that and the ludicrousness of the puppet prop, ‘The Beaver’ is serious about portraying mental illness. And whatever your opinion about Gibson the man, so is Gibson the actor.” — Mary Pols, Time Check out everything we’ve got on “The Beaver.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
