Kelly Clarkson: Totally Cool If My Daughter is Gay!

The week her new album hits stores and computers around the country, Kelly Clarkson has gone on record with comments some might find controversial. Speaking to Pride Source about her impact on the LGBT community, the original American Idol said she doesn’t even comprehend why there’s any kind of debate or divide around the country. “I think it’s silly that we’re still talking about gay rights,” Clarkson told the publication. “I just live in this world where people are accepted, so it’s very hard for me to even realize that that still exists. “It’s hard for me to wrap my brain around it.” Clarkson is mother to an adorable eight-month old named River Rose and was asked for her reaction if her child eventually came out as gay. “Oh, I don’t care,” she replied. “I mean, here’s what I hope for her: I just hope she finds love. It took me a while, man. And there was a lot of heartache throughout those years. “You know, as long as she’s happy, I don’t care either way, and neither does my husband. Bethenny Frankel Compares Herself to a Skeleton: Hilarious or Horrible?

Bethenny Frankel poked a bit of fun at herself this week on Instagram, though many are now wondering whether the reality star chose an inappropriate way in which to do so. Walking by a skeleton hanging in front of a store in New York City, Frankel snapped a picture (below, right) and wrote as a caption to the image: “SPOTTED: Bethenny Frankel hanging out in soho today… It’s a little chilly.” Frankel, of course, is known for having a tiny frame. She created a stir last summer when she managed to fit into her four-year old’s pajamas and she caused jaws to drop a few months later after sharing a self-portrait that didn’t appear to include a waist . So, on one hand, hooray for self-deprecation, right? But, on the other hand, boo to jokes about eating disorders, no? We can only imagine how Demi Lovato felt upon reading Bethenny’s attempt at a joke. What do YOU think of it? Totally harmless? Emile Hirsch Gets Arrested for Felony Assault, Checks Into Rehab

Emile Hirsch is in serious trouble with the law. The actor was arrested on Thursday for third-degree felony assault stemming from an incident that allegedly took place in the very early morning on January 25. According to TMZ sources, police responded to a 911 call from a nightclub in Park City (during the Sundance Film Festival) and found Hirsch totally wasted. Officials say the star “asked [Paramount executive Daniele Bernfeld] why she looked ‘so tough’ and said she was a ‘rich kid’ who should not be at Sundance.” After Bernfeld left to go sit at a table with friends, Hirsch supposedly came up from behind and placed her in a “chokehold.” After that, Bernfeld alleged Hirsch “pulled her across the table and onto the floor” before landing on top of her and choking her to the point that she nearly passed out. A pair of onlookers finally pulled Hirsch off at this point. Hirsch, who is due in court on March 16, was charged with felony aggravated assault, which is punishable by up to five years in jail. In response to the incident, Hirsch’s rep tells TMZ: “Regarding the charges that have been brought against Emile today, the facts that I can relay are that he consumed an enormous amount of alcohol on the evening in question and he has no memory of what happened. “Emile takes these allegations very seriously, and is devastated that any of this has occurred. A few days after the incident, Emile sought help and checked himself into an alcohol rehabilitation facility, where he remains today, to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.” 19 Stars Who Have Gone to the Slammer 1. Home Of Only Black Family In White Neighborhood Gets Torched In Suspected Hate Crime An African-American family of four is lucky to have made it out alive after their home, which sits in a predominantly white area was allegedly targeted in vicious hate crime attack. via CBS Los Angeles Authorities Thursday were investigating a “suspicious” fire at a South Bay home while the family who lives there wondered if they were targeted. The fire was reported at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of 11th Street in Manhattan Beach, the Manhattan Beach Fire Department said. The family is black and moved into the home about a year ago. The family was asleep inside the home, but was awakened by their barking dog and smoke detectors. They were able to get out of the house safely. Homeowner Ron Clinton said someone left a burning tire at their front door. “They used an accelerant to ignite it,” said Clinton. “All I know is that when I woke up, I woke up to a loud blast.” “The fire was extinguished and found to be confined to the front entrance, with significant smoke damage to the second and third floor,” officials said. The fire caused more than $200,000 in smoke damage to the home. A motive has yet to be determined, but Clinton, a married father of three, says the family has had other incidents. “We don’t know who could have done it. But being we are the only African-American family in that area, it was brought to my front door and it feels like it’s personal.” Hopefully they find who did this and stop them from attempting to harm other families.
