A 13-year-old girl is on life support two days after a fight on campus at Attucks Middle School. Kashala Francis ‘ mother Mamie Jackson says her daughter was attacked by two girls after school on Thursday. A third girl jumped in and kicked Kashala in the head. Jackson says when her daughter returned home after school Thursday that she was okay and just had a bruise on her face. As the days progressed, Kashala complained of a painful headache. Jackson told her daughter over the phone to lie down. By the time first responders arrived at their home, Kashala was unconscious. She was rushed to Texas Children’s Hospital and doctor’s made a tragic discovery. “We found out she has a large tumor in the back of her head, and she had fluid buildup in her brain,” Jackson said. The tumor was unknown to family members before doctors discovered it on Sunday. There’s no word on whether or not the fight contributed to Kashala’s condition or if it were a pre-existing condition. HISD in a statement wrote, “The district is aware that several Attucks Middle School students were involved in an off-campus altercation on Thursday. Talk about an Easter miracle. After attacking a Black woman on the street, a white Florida man learned the hard way the a bunny is most definitely strong enough to whoop his a**. According to Click Orlando , over the weekend, a Black woman in Orlando got into a fight outside a comedy club when a white man bumped into her and then spit on her. In a video of the attack that went viral, Antoine McDonald, dressed in a Easter Bunny costume, jumps to the woman’s defense, laying paws on the man after he witnessed the man physically attacking the woman. “I don’t know if he was bullying her or what,” McDonald told Click Orlando. “[But] I am going to say that I am happy so that people know that they just can’t spit on African-Americans. Especially African-American females and think that it’s OK.” Apparently, the fight ended when an Orlando police officer arrived to the scene and split everyone up. While McDonald may have appeared to have been fearless, he admitted he was concerned he might be arrested for assault. “The thought went through my head when the cop came over, but you know I didn’t leave. I didn’t run. I said, ‘You know what? This man deserved it.’ You know, if I have to be arrested for this to prove a point that this shouldn’t be happening, then so be it.” Luckily he didn’t get in trouble. Our hero. I feel like I may have already posted these pics, talking about how lame the fucking world is in terms of creativity…it’s like they know they have some model, who is actually a well known model, willing to get naked, and they have to figure out how to spin it into being “art” so they see a market across the street and decide to style it with whatever produce they can find on sale, and they make the girl interact with the produce, as models do, in some dramatic and stupid way…while naked…in what I call lazy fucking work…the idea and execution likely took a solid 10 minutes…..the set up and idea happened 15 minutes before the shoot…and it’s obvious and maybe they dragged it out through the day since they were paying her, or since she blocked out the time…but the concept…is fucking weak. I mean sure seeing any naked chick doing anything is worth looking at, but it is all just the same fucking thing over and over again, I’d like to see these people who get paid well, and are considered artists or geniuses or the best at what they do…come up with something…anything…that makes me say…”Oh…that was good”… Instead it’s like “that was lame, desperate, lacked effort, concept, vision, story”… How are people not stepping it up…and the worst thing is they probably all play this off like it’s awesome…like the creative directors are like “Brilliant, genius, amazing”…like they don’t even know it’s a joke…they actually think it’s good. This week we sit down with the actors behind the film “The Curse of La Llorona” that claims to bring the iconic legend to life in a terrifying original horror film set in the world kicked off by The Conjuring. The movie takes place in Los Angeles, Calfornia in the 70s and follows Anna Tate-Garcia played by Linda Cardellini. She’s a social worker who is struggling to balance her job and raising her kids because she is still coping with the loss of her husband, a cop who was murdered on the job. Determined to keep up with the responsibilities of her job Anna gets called to the home of Patricia Alvarez played by Patricia Velasquez, and finds her two young sons locked in a closet, she interprets their terrified mother’s desperate efforts to keep them locked away as a dangerous sign of abuse, when in reality she is protecting them from La Llorona, but since Anna is a skeptic she doesn’t believe her and takes her kids away. This sparks a series of events that make a horror film that does its job. Scare the screams out of you. I sat down with Breaking Bad’s Raymond Cruz, Linda Cardellini, and Patricia Valesquez to break down their movie. We talked about balancing acting vs really being scared and Patricia explained that with a movie like this, there is no playing because you’re really scared. Patricia also told me that La Llorona is real, “It’s only La Llorona, she was the biggest one. We really believe in her. Your parents will keep you at home. When it gets dark come in or La Llorona will get you. Listen to your parents of La Llorona will get you!” Raymond chimed in saying Latin kids have a bigger monster to worry about saying, “Nowadays… There’s Trump.” It’s an obvious dig at Donald Trump immigration policy that’s ripping Mexican kids away from their parents and locking them in cages. After that, we kept the politics out of this interview and focused on the scariest movies of all time in which we talked about The Exorcist, Jaws and The Nightmare On Elm Street franchise. Judging from these three films I think that’s the reason why every movie in The Conjuring Universe holds weight because their actors know what it’s like to be scared by a movie. Go see The Curse Of La Llorona hitting theaters everywhere this Friday, it’s definitely worth your money.
Source: Hero Images / Getty Mom Reportedly Attacks Elderly Woman After Cutting In Line Police are currently searching for a mother who allegedly grabbed an 81-year-old woman by the hair and dragged her to the ground after a verbal altercation outside of a movie theater on the Upper West Side in New York City . The elderly woman told NBC New York that she was waiting outside of the 84th Street AMC theater to buy a ticket for the movie Dumbo, which is when a mom and her two children seemed to cut the line of patrons. Even though the woman didn’t know whether or not the rude maneuver was intentional, she made a point of speaking up about it. “I went like this,” the woman said as she motioned with one finger to demonstrate how she touched one of the children. “Just the gentlest touch. I just went like that to her daughter.” The woman continues on to say that that’s all it took for the mother to become belligerent. “Well, she just opened up her mouth,” the woman said. “She became so violent. I was just, like, shocked.” After seeing how angry she was, the older woman said she tried to apologize to the mom, but that only seemed to provoke her even further; Eventually, the younger woman resorted to physical violence. T he woman said she felt someone come behind her and grab her by the hair. “I just felt this dragging of my hair, and I felt myself go down and crash,” the woman told NBC New York. She allegedly fell backwards, hitting her head. She was taken to the hospital soon thereafter, where she was treated for dizziness, pain, and swelling, according to a police report obtained by Yahoo Lifestyle . “They X-rayed the thing and they said, thank goodness, there was no bleeding,” the woman said. Doctors told her she was very lucky she didn’t sustain a concussion. The mom and her children fled the theater and have still not been found, but police were able to capture her on surveillance video. “The individual is described as a female, Hispanic, long dark hair, mid 30′,” according to the police report.
Just over three months ago, Jen Harley allegedly threw a glass ashtray at the face of Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and hit him near the eye. Fast forward to this past Saturday night and Harley aimed something else in the direction of her frequent lover’s rugged mug: Her lips. As you can see above, Harley and Ronnie cozied up to each other during an evening out in Las Vegas. The mother of the couple’s one-year old daughter, Ariana, shared some memories from the night on her Instagram Story, leaving little doubt about her and Ronnie’s status with photos such as the one you see here. Yes, they are back together. No, we are not confident this relationship will last. Hopefully, we can only think, local authorities have been made aware of the reconciliation. We don’t mean to be flippant here, but Jen and Ronnie have quite the cantankeous history. They have quite the violent history, to be honest, which includes the ashtray-hurling cited above during an intense argument on New Year’s Eve in late 2018. Just a few months before this incident, Harley was arrested for domestic violence after she dragged Ronnie down the street by her car. That’s not a metaphor or an exaggeration: Harley literally closed her door on Ronnie while he was trying to escape her vehicle and sped away, dragging him across the concrete several hundred feet. There was also that time Ronnie referred to Harley as a cum dumpster and she called him a deadbeat dead. This was mere weeks after the arrival of Ariana. But time heals all wounds, we suppose, both literal and figurative. A week before this date night, Ronnie and Jen posted photos of themselves hanging out a birthday party for children, causing us to wonder they were just being amicable co-parents or hardcore lovers once again. This outing was followed days later by a staged wedding. Indeed, the reality stars snapped pictures of themselves at Sin City’s world-famous drive-thru Tunnel of Love at the Little White Chapel as an April Fool’s Day joke. However, although the nuptials were just for show, the pair exchanged a passionate kiss at one point during their prank, sparking the same speculation you see here: that, maybe, they are back together. For the sake of little Ariana, of course, we hope this works out. We hope we’re wrong in judging the pair and that they really have overcome their issues. Ever since Jussie Smollett was shockingly freed from facing charges related to the alleged attack against him in Chicago, many people have spoken out. There were Smollett’s lawyers . There was Smollett himself . There was a very angry Rahm Emanuel . But two people have remained unsually silent throughout this ordeal… … Abel and Ola Osundairo. The Nigerian brothers were brought in by the Chicago Police Department several weeks ago as the main suspects in this case. And this is where things started to take a turn against Smollett, considering the siblings had worked as extras on Empire and has also trained the actor in the gym. How could his assailants have had a connection to him? How could they have been African-American, when Smollett swore his attackers were white? Could the siblings have been paid by Smollett to orchestrate the incident and only pretend to beat him up? This became the working theory, and it was exacerbated after a check written to the brothers emerged, as well as text messages between Smollett and Abel. Said an attorney for the brothers, just a few days before the charges against Smollett were dropped: “My clients have tremendous regret over their involvement in this situation, and they understand how it has impacted people across the nation, particularly minority communities and especially those who have been victims of hate crimes themselves.” So… what do they have to say now? In light of Smollett getting off entirely? Nothing. That’s the weird thing. According to TMZ, the lawyer for Abel and Ola urged them to make a public statement very soon after the Smollett news went viral yesterday. But they refused to do so — and, in response, lawyer Gloria Schmidt actually quit, saying she no longer wished to represent Abel and Ola. The cops and prosecutors both say the brothers were the ones on the street with Smollett on the night of the attack. Naturally, all observers are now wondering what role they played because there are really only two scenarios: 1. They did commit the assault. 2. They helped Smollett fake it and cover it up. Considering they weren’t arrested for the former, wouldn’t they want to speak out and clear their names in regard to the latter charge? This whole thing is such a confusing mystery. The man responsible for dropping the charges against Smollett, First Assistant State’s Attorney Joseph Magats, says his decision does not exonerate the star. “We stand behind the investigation, we stand behind the decision to charge him and we stand behind the charges in the case,” Magats said yesterday, adding: “The mere fact that it was disposed of in an alternative manner does not mean that there were any problems or infirmities in the case or the evidence.” Magats later tried to say that Smollett did not commit a violent act and that’s the only reason his office chose not to pursue this case. Again, it’s a confusing mystery. But not to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. “This is a whitewash of justice,” the politician told reporters on Tuesday, continuing as follows: “I’d like to remind everybody a grand jury indicted this individual based on only a piece of the evidence that the police had collected in that period of time. So a grand jury actually brought the charges… You have a person using hate crime laws that are on the books to protect people who are minorities from violence to then turn around and use those laws to advance your career and your financial reward. Kris Humphries would like you to know two important things about him: 1. He’s still alive. 2. He was totally and completely in love with Kim Kardashian. So the former power forward stated for The Players Tribune record in a surprising essay he penned this week. In a lengthy piece titled “I Never Wanted to Be That Guy,” Humphries opens up about his athletic past, his basketball career, his poor attitude over the years — and, yes, of course, his very brief marriage to Ray J’s former sex tape partner. (For those somehow unaware, Humphries and Kardashian were married for 72 days back in 2011. Yes, 72 days. Due to the hilariously short length of this union, most observers have assumed that the relationship was a complete farce. They’ve assumed it was a mere PR stunt meant to bring the couple attention and money before they went their separate ways. But Humphries insists, all this time later, that there was nothing phony about the romance at all. “I met a girl who happened to be really famous, and I got married, and.…. Damn,” writes Kris in this article, adding that he “should have known what I was getting into” with Kardashian, and yet: “I was definitely naive about how much my life was going to change. But the one thing that really bothers me is whenever people say that my marriage was fake.” There’s plenty about the Kardashian universe that is not “entirely real,” explains Humphries, who should know because he appeared on plenty of Keeping Up with the Kardashians episodes. But his feelings for Kim? The vows they exchanged? His hopes and dreams for their future? “Our actual relationship was 100% real,” he emphasizes here, expounding as follows: “When it was clear that it wasn’t working … what can I say? It sucked. “It’s never easy to go through the embarrassment of something like that — with your friends, with your family…. But when it plays out so publicly, in front of the world, it’s a whole other level. It was brutal.” Kris and Kim were all over the tabloids back then, with accusations of infidelity leveled against both parties and ugly rumors spreading about the relationship across the Internet. Continues Humphries: “I didn’t know how to handle it, because I never thought I was going to be famous in that way. “I remember having this moment when I was getting booed so hard in Philly, and I thought to myself, “Why exactly are they booing me, though? Is it just because I’m That Guy from TV? “Do they think I was trying to be famous? Is it because they think I disrespected the game of basketball?” Humphries played in 800 career games and averaged 6.7 points and 5.4 rebounds. He was a perfectly solid rotation player who played for eight teams. The Minnesota native exceled in college and only ever wanted “to be known for basketball,” he writes in this piece. But that hasn’t been the case for almost a decade now. “There was about a year where I was in a dark place,” he says of the divorce proceedings. “I didn’t want to leave my home. You feel like … I don’t know … the whole world hates you, but they don’t even know why. They don’t even know you at all. They just recognize your face, and they’re on you.” Humphries would even lie and tell strangers on the street that he was someone else when they approached him. It was really tough for awhile. “I didn’t want to be Kris Humphries,” he says, adding: “It’s the craziest feeling in the world, not wanting to be yourself. And I didn’t even want to say anything to defend myself, because it felt like I couldn’t win. You can’t go up against the tabloids. You can’t go up against that machine. There’s no point. “And even if I played that game, I felt like it would be disrespecting the game of basketball.” As for whether he’d ever get back together with Kim, who is married to Kanye West and who has three children? Humphries has already answered that question. And we’re sorry to break it to you, Kim .
Things have gone from bad to worse for Wendy Williams. And now the talk show host appears to be in legitimate trouble. According to The Daily Mail, Williams was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday after she suffered a relapse just one day after numerous outlets reported that her husband’s mistress had given birth to a baby. That’s a confusing sentence, we know. But Kevin Hunter, who has been married to Williams since 1997 and who shares an 18-year old son with the television personality, has allegedly been having an affair with a woman named Sharina Hudson for years. This has been an ongoing rumor for as long as we can remember — and it’s something Williams has even remarked upon to her viewers. She’s never really come out and denied the affair; she’s simply said she remains committed to her marriage. But then Hudson reportedly welcomed Hunter’s child on Monday and this, understandably, was enough to send Williams into a tailspin. The aforementioned publication writes that Williams was given an IV bag that contained vitamins and minerals at the hospital after members of her team found her highly intoxicated. It’s unclear exactly what state Williams was discovered in… but it was clearly a troubled one. “She was in a bad way and disappeared from the studio after her show Monday,” a source told the Daily Mail website, adding: “She went back to the sober house only to check herself out and decided to start drinking.” Indeed, Williams admitted to her audience just last week that she was living in this sort of facility after a previous recent relapse. Williams was spotted on the street yesterday without her wedding ring on, perhaps as a sign that she’s finally prepared to walk away from Hunter. As mentioned above and depicted above, Williams opened the March 19 episode of her morning talk show by telling her fans she had been staying in a sober living facility while she battles her addiction. “You know me for being a very open and truthful person and I’ve got more to the story for you,” she said, prior to delving into the details as follows: “You know [my husband] Kevin [Hunter] and I have The Hunter Foundation for the good of the people. We recently launched our 888-5 HUNTER number for those of you caught up in the struggle of addiction. “Well, for some time now, and even today and beyond, I have been living in a sober house. “When you see me come to work glammed up, right after the show I go across the street, I do my Pilates. I told you – two hours a day or [so], to take care of my body… “You know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past. I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped.” Hunter has said very little about his alleged affair and also about Wendy in general, but he did speak out about her sober living facility move , referring to her addiction and hopeful recovery as a “family process.” Those close to Wendy are praying Kevin won’t be a member of her family for much longer, however. “Wendy is considering divorcing Kevin,” says The Daily Mail, concluding: “She’s really distraught over the situation, she knew about Sharina but didn’t think a baby would arrive. She didn’t think Kevin would go this far, she’s lost and everyone is worried for her.” We don’t like what Williams sometimes says on her show, but we do wish her the best in this case.
