You dumba$$ Kansas Man Arrested After Accidentally Calling Police During Drug Deal Via KSHB A 26-year-old man pleaded no contest to charges on Wednesday related to a crime that authorities only found out thanks to a “pocket-dial.” Prosecutor Todd Thompson said Jesus Daniel Santos, of Leavenworth, Kan., pleaded no contest to attempted distribution of crack cocaine after officers discovered baggies of suspected crack cocaine in the back seat of his car. Officers were first called out to the 100 block of S. 7 th Street when a cell phone in Santos’ pocket accidentally dialed 9-1-1. When dispatchers took the open-line call, they used a program to estimate the location and sent officers to the scene to make sure it wasn’t an emergency situation. After determining the accidental nature of the call, officers were about to leave when they spotted the baggies, later estimated to be worth more than $2,600. Sentencing is set for Nov. 28. They coached the poor thang into prostitution and used her money to pay their own bills! The little girl must have missed out on having a strong male (or adult period) in her life because these two look crazy! According to The Miami Herald : The young girl had run away from home to be with her much-older boyfriend and within a day her beau made a shocking demand, according to police: Become his prostitute or go home…The 13-year-old agreed. She worked the Biscayne Boulevard strip, giving the man half the money she earned, police said, until he threatened to kill her. Now that man, Daron Eugene Sneed, 26, is in jail and facing a slew of charges, including procuring a person under the age of 18 for prostitution. He is being held in a Miami-Dade jail without bail. A woman who worked with him — and, police said, helped train the girl to be a prostitute — also was arrested on various charges. Melquinice T. Macklin, 20, was being held in a Miami-Dade jail on $2 million bail. Both were booked into jail Thursday after a lengthy investigation. Reached by phone, Macklin’s mother, who did not give her name, said “Those are just allegations. Obviously that’s why we have the court of law.” The investigation involved Miami-Dade schools police, Miami police and the State Attorney’s Office. It was the fall of 2011. The girl was waiting for her school bus at Northwest 22nd Avenue and 183rd Street when Sneed, also known as “Killer,” went up and befriend her. They kept in touch, first through their cell phones, later meeting up in person at a playground. On Sept. 11, 2011, the girl ran away from home with Sneed. While on a bus to Biscayne Boulevard, Sneed convinced her to work as a prostitute, “telling her that, if she didn’t do it, then she would have to return home,” the affidavit said. He knew her age was 13. She performed her first act of prostitution 15 minutes after getting on Biscayne inside an abandoned home for $80. Macklin gave the girl lessons in how to be a prostitute, the affidavit said, even though the girl had been reported as a runaway. For about a week, she worked mostly out of the Kings Motel, 7150 Biscayne Blvd., giving half the money she earned to Sneed, who beat up johns who refused to pay, according to the affidavit. Macklin and Sneed supervised, using the money for food and shelter. On Sept. 17, 2011, the girl left after Sneed threatened to kill her. The Evil Dead Red Band trailer doesn’t hit the web until tomorrow — look for it here — but in the meantime, here’s a little taste of the horror to come. This 36-second amuse bouche doesn’t give up much until the final moments, especially if you’ve seen the ‘leaked’ trailer that had audiences at NY Comic-Con screaming. But it does feature the eternally amusing Bruce Campbell telling that same audience: “We know what you need. You need horror with blood flowing down the street. We know you need it.” As Campbell — who’s a producer of the remake — told me in an interview at Comic-Con, Uruguayan director Fede Alvarez, who also appears in this clip along with actress Jane Levy, has remade Sam Raimi’s horror-comedy classis as a “dead serious” fright film with a bigger budget and better special effects, but, alas, no cameo by Campbell. Do you think he’s got a point? Tom Morello doesn’t hold back; especially when it comes to politics. He called out Lyan when his camp used a Rage Against The Machine song without the bands permission and now, he’s put POTUS on blast: According to Celebuzz… …the musician is no fan of Barack Obama’s administration either. Despite supporting Obama in the 2008 election, Morello, 48, is grossly disappointed in the president. “I think Obama has fallen horribly short of expectations that people like I had for him,” Morello told Celebuzz at Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars benefit in New York City on Saturday. “He talked like a different president, he looked like a different president, but he acted just like all of the other presidents, in my view.” What else did Morello have to say? With so much political rhetoric from both parties dedicated to the nation’s middle class, Morello says that politicians are falling short on what he sees as the important issue: poverty. “There are millions of people around the planet who could be the next Mozart or cancer doctor or the person that cures autism that aren’t able to become the people that they were meant to be due to poverty,” he said. As for what politicians are doing to address the issue, Morello added: “They’re doing jack-s*** of what needs to be done because the poorest of the poor don’t have lobbyists in Washington. Their advocates are either themselves or people who [speak out] — I’ve dedicated my life’s work to that.” Morello has been an outspoken left-wing activist throughout his career and most recently has supported the Occupy Wall Street movement. “I think freedom of speech is very important,” he said. “And to present views that are outside of the corporate-controlled media. That’s a key thing.” As for what everyday Americans can do to get politically involved, Morello says it’s pretty simple — and a it doesn’t require an Ivy League education. “You don’t need to read The Wall Street Journal every day to have a moral compass. Stuff’s right and it’s wrong,” he said. “You don’t need to have a honors political science degree from Harvard to weigh in on this stuff — Although I do have an honors political science degree from Harvard,” he added, humorously.
