David Koepp on SWATH 2: ‘I Couldn’t’ See Sequel Being Made Without Kristen Stewart

David Koepp couldn’t envision a Snow White and the Huntsman  sequel without Kristen Stewart — which is one reason he says he’s no longer involved in the project. Koepp — who scripted  Jurassic Park , the original 2002  Spider-Man  movie and co-wrote and directed this weekend’s new bike-messenger thriller Premium Rush — told Movieline that he departed the project because he had worked on a script idea “that I really liked” involving Stewart’s character. “And their situation, I hear, changed a little, so they weren’t interested in pursuing that idea anymore.” Koepp said that was a sign for him to move on. “I felt like there was a good path with her, but then they wanted to explore a different thing that I had no ideas for,” he explained. “If you don’t have any ideas, you should probably put your pen in your backpack and go home.” As a result, he added, “we agreed to part ways and stay friends.” When I asked Koepp if he could see a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman being made sans Stewart, he replied: “Well, I couldn’t. That was why I felt like I couldn’t follow through.” Stewart’s involvement in a Snow White sequel has been hotly debated since reports broke in late July that she cheated on her on- and 0ff-screen Twilight love interest Robert Pattinson with  SWATH director Rupert Sanders and apologized for it. On Aug. 15, Deadline  reported that, internally, Universal is discussing whether to focus the next movie on the Huntsman character played by Chris Hemsworth , who is fast proving himself to be leading-man material. Universal also bought a crime drama called 90 Church: The True Story of the Narcotics Squad from Hell for Sanders. Nell Alk is an arts and entertainment writer and reporter based in New York City. Taylor Swift Accompanies Conor Kennedy to Grave of Mother

Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy took a big, sad step in their relationship on Sunday. The singer accompanied her 18-year old boyfriend and various family members to the Cape Cod cemetery where Mary Richardson Kennedy is buried. She tragically committed suicide in May . Conor’s mother had been separated from his father at the time of her death and was reportedly suffering from substance abuse problems. According to Entertainment Tonight , Swift and Kennedy – who have been dating for two months – attended church and then spent close to a half hour at Mary’s grave, which is located in Hynannis near the Kennedy compound. Taylor has actually purchased a home directly across the street from Ethel Kennedy, Conor’s grandmother and a woman who has said the famous family would only be too lucky if Swift ever joined them in an official capacity. It’s very early, but it certainly appears is if things could be heading in that direction.

Selena Gomez Works A See Through Top

Most of you might be a little annoyed with me for calling these shots of Selena Gomez “see through”, but technically that top is sheer enough for someone close enough and in the right light to see through. Alright, I’m grasping at straws here, but what do you want me to call this crap? Boring pictures of Selena Gomez walking down the street? It just doesn’t have the same pop. Anyhow, I can kind of see a little bit of her belly through the thing so I’m keeping it. Deal with it.

My name is Courtney and I am 13 years old. My Bieber experience…

My name is Courtney and I am 13 years old. My Bieber experience started on June 18, 2012. The day before, I heard that if you buy the Girlfriend perfume package at Macy’s in New York City, you get tickets to Justin’s secret concert that night . The next morning I went to school and then when I got home, my mom and I drove to pick up my cousin. Then we went to the train station and headed to NYC. Finally when we got to Penn Station, we ran to Macy’s and bought Girlfriend. We were so lucky because there was only 50 packages left! Gianna and I were so excited because we never saw Justin on concert before and we couldn’t get tickets to the Believe Tour. I also heard there was a Believe CD signing at J&R Music Store the next day and they were giving out wristbands that day if you pre-ordered Believe so of course we went.  When we finally got to J&R we ran downstairs to pre-order the CD and we got our bracelets! Gianna and I were freaking out because WE WERE GOING TO MEET JUSTIN DREW BIEBER THE NEXT DAY! After that we went to the concert and it was amazing even though it was extremely hot in the Apollo and the power went out. Justin sang about 10 songs including OLLG that he sang to little Avalanna. It was the cutest thing on earth! The next day I had another final exam so I  had to go to school before we went to the city. During the whole test I kept zoning out and thinking about meeting Justin. I was so excited! After school we went to pick up Gianna again and then went to the train. We got to J&R at about 2:45 and we were almost last on line! The people said it would be about a 3 hour wait but it was worth it! At 5:00 we were finally getting close to the front of the line! At one point everyone on the other side of the street that was on line started screaming so we looked around to see what was going on. It turned out to be that Ryan Good was walking past the line to go to Starbucks that was down the street! I couldn’t believe I saw him! When we got to that side of the street he walked back to the music store! He was so close to me, I could almost touch him! When we finally got inside the store I was really freaking out! We got up to the table and I put my CD down. Kenny was sitting down beside Justin. Gianna and I told Justin we loved him and he smiled at us! It was so amazing! After a few seconds we had to leave to keep the line moving. I couldn’t believe I just met Justin Drew Bieber!!!! After the signing, we went to Time Square near MTV because he was performing there next. We met other people we know there and waited for Justin to hopefully come outside. We were waiting there then all of the sudden Moshe walked pasted us! Of course we all followed him and he went into a sunglass store. My friends went inside and got his autograph but I went back to where we were waiting. After a few hours we were walking down the street and then we saw Dan Kanter and Scrappy! There was a bunch of fans surrounding them and asking for pictures and autographs. He almost left but I asked him for a picture really quickly and he took a picture with me! I was freaking out!!!!!! After a few hours we saw Justin left in a car with black tinted windows so I didn’t see his face but at least I met him that morning! I went home after that and I could hardly sleep that night! Thank you Justin! I never thought this would ever happen to me! It was one of the best days of my life! -@BeingABelieberr See more here: My name is Courtney and I am 13 years old. Watch NYPD Shoot Up And Kill Mentally Challenged Rasta Waving Butter Knife [Video]

All this over a little reefer: Police shot and killed a man wielding a knife Saturday afternoon near Times Square after chasing him down Seventh Avenue from 44th Street to 37th Street. The unidentified man sustained multiple gun shot wounds and was taken to Bellevue Hospital at 3:12 p.m. as he was going into cardiac arrest. The knife-wielding suspect later died from his injuries. Authorities say the incident began when officers approached a 51-year-old man they say appeared to be smoking marijuana near West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue, in the heart of Times Square. The knife-wielding man became angry, pulled out an 11-inch knife and began to put a bandanna on his head, according to police said. He refused repeated orders to drop the weapon and began backing down the avenue. The suspect continued to flee for a number of blocks, drawing many officers into a foot pursuit that took them south of Times Square. Police said officers’ pepper sprayed the man six times but he held onto the knife throughout the seven-block chase. He then lunged at police at West 37th Street and two officers shot him in the torso. The police chase and dramatic shooting shocked tourists and passersby in the busy midtown area. Fox 5 News obtained this exclusive cell phone video as the suspect seems to taunt numerous police officers waving a knife at them in the middle of Times Square. Angel Colon was on his lunch break when he whipped out his cell phone and captured these moments just before cops opened fire. “You could see he has a Rambo type knife,” said Colon. “He seemed confused but he was quite edgy and cops were saying ‘drop it’, and then pow pow.” 42nd Street near Times Square is now shut down as police investigate. Witnesses tell us the suspect seemed erratic. “We see the guy as we came out the subway and my friend and I actually saw it (shooting),” said Julian Miller. Another witness Jobby Nogueras said “He was just swinging a giant knife around like he was kind of dancing with the knife.” The suspect was rushed to the hospital but no one else was hurt. When Fox 5 News asked one witness if he believed the shooting was justified. “He threatened lives of people so he had to be put down.” youtube myfoxny ABClocal

Brie Larson’s Criterion List Is Pretty Fantastic

Actress/musician Brie Larson — AKA Scott Pilgrim ‘s Envy Adams, of 21 Jump Street and United States of Tara fame — is also a Criterion Collection fangirl, and given her terrific recent round of the cineaste label’s Top 10, she’s probably got a better-stocked DVD catalogue than you. Consider Red Desert : “Antonioni’s first color film. I felt like I was opening my eyes for the first time. An incredible palette and commitment to tone. He actually painted trees whites and grays! I have always wanted to talk technicalities with someone about this film. The fog? How did he do the fog?!” And, on Bergman’s Scenes from a Marriage : “This was the most invested in any relationship I had ever been — including my own.” Read Larson’s full Top 10 and share in my newfound nerdy girlcrush.
