I’m Kirsty, I’m 16 from Sydney Australia I cannot believe I’m…

I’m Kirsty, I’m 16 from Sydney Australia  I cannot believe I’m writing my Bieber Experience. I never thought I would ever be writing one but I am now. On Wednesday the 18th of July was his big Sunrise Performance and I didn’t win tickets but I still went. I got up at 3:30am and my sister, my friend and I went and caught a train at 4:45am. We got told by Sunrise if you don’t have a ticket, don’t show up you wont be able to see anything. Turns out they were wrong because I saw everything. I saw Justin’s car arrive and I was so excited he came out.  Everybody started running on the streets. The terminal was blocked off by huge fences and police where everywhere, no one could get around the side where his car was because of the fences. While everyone was running up the street, my sister, my friend and I had a YOLO moment and jumped the fence with around 8 other girls. We missed him by a couple minutes but Dan and Scrappy were there and we got to say hello to them. They asked us how we got in and we said we jumped a fence and they laughed. Eventually security saw us and yelled, ”Get out! How did u get in here?” They chased us back down the escalator and all the other beliebers were looking through the glass. Later on in the day it was 1:00pm and we where lounging around my house sad because we thought that was our last chance of meeting him. I saw someone on Twitter say “at international airport waiting for Justin,” so we got up and went. We sat there for a while not sure what to do, later on a black van pulled up outside and Kenny got out. We slowly walked outside and said hello but he couldn’t stop for a photo because he was unloading luggage. Then another black van pulled up next to it and Alfredo and Vanessa walked out. Suddenly a Black Mercedes went right past us and stopped in a loading dock driveway. We all got up and everyone was telling everyone not to scream. The car opened and I saw Justin’s backpack. I knew he was in the car. Then the two back doors opened and Selena came out, followed by Justin. Selena stood up near the car and Justin started walking in our direction. I couldn’t believe what was happening. I had waited 3 and a half years for this moment and it was about to happen. We all didn’t rush to him , we just stood there and formed kind of a mini mosh. Moshe was by his side and we were waiting. Then it was my turn and I was surprisingly not crying, I was happy. I said, “OMG hi Justin,” and took a photo. He had his arm around my back and I said thanks and asked if I could have a hug. He hugged me and he was perfect. He said, “It was a pleasure to meet you,” and I said thank you. I walked off and went over to Selena I asked for a photo and she said sure. I told her she was pretty. At this stage I was crying my eyes out. I couldn’t even talk, I couldn’t breathe. I called my mum and tried to tell her what was happening but she couldn’t quite understand. Justin started to walk away, we where waving and stuff and then he left. It was a DREAM come true. I never thought it would happen but it did. Never Say Never! See the original post here: I’m Kirsty, I’m 16 from Sydney Australia I cannot believe I’m…

Monday comes around and my friends Jen and Jessica who’ve never…

Monday comes around and my friends Jen and Jessica who’ve never met Justin are holding my place in line for when Justin goes to the Radio Disney studio. I was writing my letter since I’m trying to sing with Justin. I finally got there an hour later than I was supposed to but no sign of Justin yet.  Hour by hour, more and more people showed up. By the time Justin came to Radio Disney, there was over 100 fans and the ones who screamed and ran up to Justin on his segway hadn’t helped. Mom had noticed Justin was parked in a red zone and figured that he wouldn’t be staying long if they weren’t moving the car. She and her friends daughter Nicolette decided to walk over and talk to him. For a second she thought it was Moshe but it was just another guy who looked like him. She asked him if he thought Justin would stop and he flat out told her Justin had been running late to another interview and the way the fans acted crazy (by screaming and running up to him), made it highly unlikely that he would stop for anyone. My mom then went on to talk to another one of the workers while I managed to give Vanessa my letter for Justin. Once my mom saw he wouldn’t be stopping we just decided to leave. We went to the car right as Justin was leaving as well. We decided to drive to Venice Beach and on the way there, Nicolette being 8 had to pee and couldn’t hold it in. We stopped by a French Bakery and noticed across the street from it was a radio station.  As we were driving, we saw Justin’s van and I immediately had my mom pull over. There was only one fan there other than our group. I saw Vanessa again and asked her if she could get Justin to stop for us.   She said she would talk to him about it but at the end of the day, it was his decision. Pattie then came out of Justin’s van. I said hi and she smiled and said it back and walked in. We saw Kenny put more things in the car and Justin hopped into the van. We weren’t aloud to walk up passed a line so Jen and I started screaming, “Justin please take pictures with us, please please Justin please.” We saw no response from him and none from Moshe. We figured it was time to give up and go to Venice. We were walking off the lot when Moshe yelled out, “Guys come back.” The five of us ran back towards the van. Jen hugged Moshe and said, “Thank you so much” and I hugged Justin and I was like, “You really don’t know what this means to us.” After the hug we stayed silent for a second and I was just like, “So um we should get our pictures”, because I was fairly sure he was in a rush. I was handing my camera to Jen and Justin grabbed it and took a selfie with me . He started taking pictures with Jen and Nicollette and they were kind of quiet so I told him about a dare I  had in 2010 from my best friend Katie who dared me to get a picture with him, of him kissing me on the cheek. He was like, “Yeah lets do this.” He proceeded to take a picture with the rest of the girls and my mom. I told him about how I may be getting ‘Believe’ tattooed on my left wrist and he smiled and showed me his tat and said he just got his done. My mom told Justin and Pattie that they inspire her and I and he hugged her, I was just like, “THATS MY MOM!!!” and he just laughed . After my mom took her picture with Justin, I told Justin about how I have a campaign called “Operation sing with JB and I’m trying to sing with him.” He smiled at me wide and said, “Thank you ladies!” Honestly Justin will never know how much he’s done to change my life. I will always be grateful and the memories I have with him honestly keep me going. Justin if you stumble on this one, I just want to say thanks. -@BIEBERINLA95 See more here: Monday comes around and my friends Jen and Jessica who’ve never…

My name is Francesca, I’m 15 and I’m from Italy. Justin…

My name is Francesca, I’m 15 and I’m from Italy. Justin means everything to me. It was on 2th June 2012 when I met him. At the beginning of the day, it wasn’t a great one for me. I hadn’t won to see Justin or the M&G. I hadn’t won to see him perform live, I hadn’t won anything! I didn’t loose hope and I travelled from Rome to Milan to find him. I was so sure I’d never seen him, it was really sad. In the afternoon, I decided to try, anyway. I went outside his hotel and waited about two or three hours with many others Beliebers. There was a moment when I thought, “He’ll never come out. Never. It’s been like three hours that I’ve been here, nobody is coming out!” But then he actually came out! I was like “Oh my God, I cannot believe this. It’s Justin Drew Bieber, he is in front of me!” I was so excited and so scared at the same time, too many emotions, I just couldn’t help myself. Justin was so kind with EVERYONE of us, I swear. He was so happy to see us waiting hours for him. He was absolutely amazing. He was an angel, his smile was so contagious and so beautiful. Not only did he make my day, he made my life. When he looked at me, I was like “This is not possible.” He smiled and said to me, “Come here,” and we took a photo. THE IMPOSSIBLE CAME TRUE! Never say never, right? Thank you Justin, I will now fight for my dreams, I never give up in my life. I believe in every word he says, I believe in every step he takes. I hope one day he’ll read this, I’d be the happiest girl in the world seriously.   See the original post here: My name is Francesca, I’m 15 and I’m from Italy. Justin…

My names Georgia and this is My Bieber Experience from New…

My names Georgia and this is My Bieber Experience from New Zealand . I was with my sister and we were actually going to see the Dark Knight (only because I missed winning tickets to Justin’s show). We decided to take a drive by of The Cloud (where his private concert was) and then we saw this swarm of Beliebers running in the other direction. I was like OMG why are they running? Then we see like 2 huge blacked out Mercedes vans and a little mob of cars driving in a line behind. I was like, “That’s Justin F**king Bieber” (followed by a whole lot of inappropriate words). We followed them all the way to like the other end and then we predicted he would come out a specific exit and he did! Then the chase was on and like other beliebers were in their cars following the 2 vans and 2 cars. We thought they may go to the Langham but he had to eat so we kept on following them . They noticed us so decoy cars went in all opposite directions. The other beliebers went and followed the other cars but we decided to stay with the huge van (which then also tried to lose us/ was switching lanes etc.) We ended up loosing them but then my sister predicted another street and sure enough, it was there! Then it randomly stopped in this dark part of the street so we waited and watched the van for like an hour. Then the guy pulled out of the street and went to the dairy; he was like a security guard so I hopped out of the car and went in the dairy as well. He was like looking at me looking like, “WTF GO AWAY” and scanning me up and down (what a creep) and then my sister was like, “No ones in the van.” I was guttered but we waited a bit and watched the van. We went back down the street thinking we just got decoyed away but then we see TWO HUGE BODY GUARDS outside a Japanese restaurant called Cocoro . It was either the Japanese Mafia or Justin. I rang the restaurant and asked if I could make a reservation and they said, “NO SORRY WE’RE FULLY BOOKED.” I then asked if I could order a takeaway. Then the Asian guy was hesitant and said, “Ahhhh sorry, no takeaway tonight.” We clicked that Justin was there! We waited and waited (longest dinner ever) and then Alfredo came out for some air. Kenny came out and shook a person’s hand. We were still hiding in the car because no one was allowed in the restaurant. Finally the same grey van we had followed from the beginning came back!  Selena came out and then came Justin! I almost fainted, I was shaking. He flicked his hair and I was like can I have a picture and he said, “Sure you can!” and was so lovely . It was blurry so he was like, “Hang on take another one” and took the iPhone out of my hand and took a picture of us! He was about to leave and I was like, “Justin can I touch your hand?” (LOL I couldn’t think of anything) He like laughed and then gave me a HUGE HUG and he smelt SO GOOD!! After he left, Kenny and Alfredo came out. Kenny and I had a great chat. At first I was like, “Omg I love you Kenny!” and he was like, “Wait, wait what’s your name?” I was like, “Georgia” and he said, “Nice to meet you, I’m Kenny.” I DIED. After I took a picture with Dan, he was like “Wait I have something for you” and handed me his pick!  Pretty much I was on cloud 9 and died because it was amazing. No one else found them except my sister, her friend and me! View post: My names Georgia and this is My Bieber Experience from New…

REVIEW: Despite Hijinks and Dick Jokes, Slight ‘The Watch’ Fails To Make Lasting Impression

Walking out of The Watch , Saturday Night Live writer Akiva Schaffer’s garrulous but indistinctive directing debut, a young woman in front of me complained to her friend. “What do you even say about that?” he’d asked. “I have no idea,” she said. She only had to write up a list of the movie’s pros and cons, and even then she could think of but one item for the former column. It’s not that The Watch is terrible – it’s not not terrible, but there are sufficient diversions and more punitive ways to spend your evening – but that it’s one of those smoke bomb comedies that seems to disappear even while you’re watching, leaving no trace of itself behind. A studio gumbo of proven quantities – here’s Vince Vaughn doing his flirty, towel-snapping thing, Ben Stiller playing a tightly wound Citizen Costco, um, rabid aliens, beer- and pot-sealed enshrinement of male bonding – The Watch leaves very little to say because, despite the near-constant jabber, it says, and aspires to, so very little. There is a concept, of course, and it’s high enough to track with those non-native Apatowians (Seth Rogen co-wrote the script with Jared Stern and his longtime writing partner Evan Goldberg) sadly unable to keep up with the movie’s urban thesaurus worth of masturbation references. Home team-loving Evan (Stiller) is what Max Fischer might be like if he grew up to manage a Costco and moved to Middle America. Trying to prop up his flagging self-image with extra credit community work, Evan is also trying (and failing) to have a child with his adorable wife (Rosemarie DeWitt). When his overnight security guard is found in a pile of viscera and green goo, Evan responds the only way he knows how: By deputizing himself as the leader of yet another organization, a neighborhood watch. I saw the trailer for The Watch back when it was still called Neighborhood Watch , just as the February murder of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin by a patrolling neighborhood watch volunteer was coming to national attention. No doubt a couple of 20 th Century Fox executives had a couple of sleepless nights, wondering if their lewd little genre mash-up would be found guilty by association. They did what studios do in these dismally self-interested situations – a shell game currently being played by Warner Bros. with their Gangster Squad , whose release has been postponed until next year in the wake of the Aurora shootings: They changed the title. It’s all about optics and the bottom line, and between those two imperatives less and less to do with (moral and other kinds of) substance in storytelling and image making seems to survive. With the exception of the character of Franklin (Jonah Hill), one of Evan’s three compatriots (including Vaughn’s bored dad and Richard Ayoade as a deceptively well-bred Brit looking to blend in), and a funny scene in which Stiller and Vaughn vie to get the last bullet into an alien corpse, The Watch is too clearly about cartoon battles and puerile riffing to inspire queasiness. Police Academy reject Franklin is keen to whip some neighborhood ass; he slings a blade around, refers to their club as a “militia,” and has an arsenal of automatic weapons hidden under his childhood bed. He’s really a pussycat, of course, and when it falls on the quartet to save their town from alien invasion (Will Forte is brilliant as usual playing one of the town’s handful of ineffectual cops; a creepy Billy Crudup is also welcome in a small part) and a divide forms between the two alpha males, Stiller and Vaughn vie for his loyalty. The Watch received an R-rating, which mostly means that the usual complement of dick jokes have room to flower into a full-blown penile fixation – to grow taller, bloom fatter, scatter more potent seeds, etc, etc. Some of it’s funny; most of it’s a flat-out grind. (Least clever is the movie’s nod to its own preoccupation with everything phallic and fluid; like I tell my landlord, acknowledging the problem is not the same as fixing it.) Back in March, the Watch trailer preceded a showing of 21 Jump Street , a movie that should not have worked if ever a movie were doomed from the start (or by its title), and yet it restored my faith in the studio comedy; side by side the two movies are a study in the difference between inspired silliness and what is merely and persistently slight. The Watch is in wide release Friday. Follow Michelle Orange on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .

Mira Nair’s The Reluctant Fundamentalist to Open 69th Venice Film Festival

The world premiere of international political thriller The Reluctant Fundamentalist will launch the Venice Film Festival August 29th. The film is based on the best-selling novel of the same name about a young Pakistani man chancing corporate success on Wall Street, but becomes embroiled in a conflict between his American Dream, a hostage crisis, and the enduring call of his family’s homeland. The feature will screen out of competition stars Riz Ahmed, Kate Hudson, Kiefer Sutherland, Liev Schreiber, Martin Donovan, Om Puri, Shabana Azmi, Haluk Bilginer and Meesha Shafi.  “The festival’s opening night will feature a film that provides much food for thought. It is a choice that intends to highlight the growing role of female creativity in all spheres of culture and contemporary society,” said Alberto Barbera in a statement. “Mira Nair has made ??an exemplary film adaptation of a novel that deals with the topical issue of fundamentalisms of any kind or nature. With great sensitivity, subtlety and remarkable sense of cinematic narrative, the director is never reluctant to take a difficult stand, inspired by profound ethical and moral reasons that, although choosing to face reality, still reject its compromises and aberrations.” This is Nair’s fifth visit to the Venice Film Festival. She won the festival’s top prize, the Golden Lion for Monsoon Wedding in 2001. The 69th Venice Film Festival runs August 29 – September 8. The Reluctant Fundamentalist synopsis courtesy of the Venice Film Festival : Student demonstrations are raging in Lahore, as young Pakistani professor Changez Khan and a journalist, Bobby Lincoln, share a cup of tea and conversation.  Princeton-educated Changez tells Lincoln of his past as a brilliant business analyst on Wall Street. He talks of the glittering future that lay before him and the beautiful and sophisticated Erica whom he was set to share that future with.   But then 9/11 changes everything. Attitudes shift dramatically – his very name and face rendering him suspect.  Returning to his homeland and the family to whom he is very close, he takes up a post as lecturer at the local university, a hotbed of radicalism and the new militant academia.   The collegial pretense of the meeting in a Lahore teahouse, between Lincoln and Changez, slowly gives way to why the unlikely pair has gathered on a summer day — another professor has been kidnapped by extremists, and the clock is ticking toward a deadline for his execution. Changez’s family is being harassed and is in real danger. Bobby is there to listen, with an agenda of his own.  As it is revealed that Lincoln is in the lions’ den with the CIA, we also learn that he has a personal stake in the immediate crisis at hand. Taking us through the culturally rich and beguiling worlds of New York, Lahore and Istanbul The Reluctant Fundamentalist is an exploration of prejudice and the phenomenon of globalization that is both exhilerating and deeply unsettling.

Making It Rain On Them Bums: Homeless Man Who Made $60k A Year Begging Says He’s Too Lazy To Get A Real Job

$60k? Where do we sign up? A man who was arrested for panhandling without a permit told police officers he was too lazy to get a job because he could make $60,000 a year begging. Shane Warren Speegle was allegedly caught panhandling near Interstate 40 and Macarthur Boulevard in Oklahoma City earlier this month. Officers informed the 45-year-old that he was breaking the law and that he would need to pay $200 for a permit to solicit in the area. The 45-year-old asked if he could get a permit that day as $200 was relatively cheap, according to KOCO.com. When the officer asked why Speegle did not just look for a job, he replied: ‘I’m lazy, and I made $60,000 doing this last year. Why would I go get a job?’ The officer left after asking the beggar to leave the area and reminding him that he could not panhandle without a permit. But when the officer returned a mere 20 minutes later, he found Speegle panhandling in the same spot. He was arrested on a complaint of soliciting from the street and taken to the Oklahoma County jail. Racks on racks on racks!! Source

Making It Rain On Them Hoes: Sports Illustrated Has Released A List Of The Top 50 Highest Paid American Athletes! The Notable Mentions [Pics]

Yesterday, we brought you the top 15 highest-earning American athletes, but there are still a few of our favorite ballers worth mentioning. Sports Illustrated Top 50 Highest Paid American Athletes Honorable Mentions This year’s list is unique for a couple more reasons. NBA players, who have historically claimed more spots in the Fortunate 50 than any other group, had their salaries slashed by nearly 20 percent this season because of the 66-game schedule brought on by the lockout of 2011. Our findings consisted solely of salary, winnings, bonuses, endorsements and appearance fees. We consulted players’ associations, tour records, agents and news reports. Our endorsement estimates for 2012 came from Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing, other sports-marketing executives and analysts, and agents. Salary figures were based on current or most recently completed seasons (July 1 for the NFL, which is why Drew Brees, who just signed a $100 million deal last Friday, isn’t on the list). For winnings-based sports (auto racing, golf, tennis), we used the 2011 calendar year. Boxing purses are from June 2011 through May 2012. Candidates for the U.S. 50 had to be American citizens and currently active in their sports. It’s not as those athletes that didn’t make the top 15 are hurtin’ for a buck.
