The Bridesmaids Vs. Ryan Gosling: Who Wrenched Your Guts?

Five cringe-worthy scenes vie for the Best Gut-Wrenching Performance at the MTV Movie Awards. Vote for your pick on MTV.com! By Kara Warner Ryan Gosling in “Drive” Photo: FilmDistrict Of all the unique and outlandish categories that the MTV Movie Awards have been known for each year, 2012’s new addition, Best Gut-Wrenching Performance , might be the most unique, outlandish and downright cringe-worthy of all. So what is a gut-wrenching moment? For our purposes, it is that one unforgettable scene in a recent movie that was so outrageous, disturbing or just plain gross that you had a physical reaction whilst watching it. A literal wrenching of your guts. No matter your reaction to this year’s very diverse nominees, be it the poo pies, head stomping or group food poisoning, we can almost guarantee the nominated moments in this new category left an impression on you. Here’s a closer look at those five gut-wrenching movie moments: Bryce Dallas-Howard, “The Help” For those who’ve seen “The Help,” there’s not much to say about this other than revenge is best served cold, in the form of a poo-laced pie. In the scene, Dallas-Howard — a double nominee this year — who plays the cringe-worthy and hateful villain Hilly Holbrook, scarfs down what looks to be a delicious chocolate pie. Hilly and the audience soon find out that the pie has an extra “special” ingredient: poop. Jonah Hill and Rob Riggle, “21 Jump Street” Moving on to our next nominee, from poop to a detached penis. (Did we mention these moments are gut-wrenching?) In the final few minutes of one of the year’s funniest comedies, “21 Jump Street,” Jonah Hill accidentally shoots off Rob Riggle’s penis, after which the handcuffed and injured party is forced to retrieve his dismembered man parts with his mouth. Bonus fact about this scene: Riggle improvised the mouth pick-up . Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper, “Bridesmaids” While there are multiple memorable scenes in “Bridesmaids,” one of them stands out as the messiest. While shopping at a swanky boutique for their dresses, the bride and her five bridesmaids are simultaneously hit with a tidal wave of food poisoning that causes them to lose their lunch in every conceivable way. Ryan Gosling, “Drive” While Ryan Gosling made many women swoon with his wooing of Emma Stone in “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” his turn as the cold, calculated and deadly driver in “Drive” had the opposite effect. Gosling’s most gut-wrenching scene is a furious display of skull stomping never before seen on film. Talk about cringe-worthy, that elevator stomp is off the charts. Tom Cruise, “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” This last nominated moment is the least gross of the bunch and also the most impressive given the physical feat achieved to produce it. In “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” Tom Cruise’s super spy Ethan Hunt scales the planet’s tallest building, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, in a race against a nuclear clock. Cruise actually performed the stunt, which required him to dangle a mere 2,700 feet from the ground. Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! Kim Kardashian: Wet, Wild, Desperate for Attention!

Kim Kardashian is one wet and wild young woman. How do we know? Because the reality star took to Twitter this week and proved as much, posting the following photos along with the message: Wet and wild! See? These are the kinds of things her 15 million followers need to know… Earlier in the week, Kim was forced to clarify a comment she made on the latest Keeping Up with the Kardashians episode , during which she referred to Indian food as “disgusting.” How dare she express such a racist opinion?!? “In NO way was this intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture,” Kardashian blogged on Tuesday. “This is just my own personal taste. There are a lot of foods I don’t like… I hate cilantro and peppers, and there are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture.” Phew. Thank goodness she cleared that up.

Justin Bieber Fans Injured in Norway, Investigation Underway

Justin Bieber very nearly created a state of emergency simply by appearing in Oslo, Norway yesterday. But the young artist did send multiple fans to the hospital, sources confirm to TMZ, 14 of whom were taken by ambulance for emergency care because they either lost all control upon seeing Bieber or got so caught up in the street stampede that his presence elicited. Justin Bieber in Norway!!! Said Mayor Fabian Stang, unhappy with how his city handled the chaos: “I have already called on the Emergency Planning Agency to examine the entire event from the planning stage to its implementation. We have to find out what went wrong and why it happened.” That’s easy to explain, Mr. Mayor. It happened because of Justin Bieber. Enough said. The Biebs did go on to perform two brand new tracks off his upcoming album for European fans, and you can watch/listen to each now in our Justin Bieber video section .

Drake’s Deal With The Weeknd ‘Being Worked Out’

‘What counts to me is the fact that the affiliation is so known,’ Drizzy tells MTV News of fellow Toronto artist. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Drake Photo: MTV News The Weeknd has a ton of fans, but Drake may be the biggest fan of them all. Of course, there is some bias: Drizzy embraced the Toronto singer last year and has since worked with him on fan favorites like “Crew Love,” “The Ride” and “The Zone.” The two have even brought their respective OVO and XO cliques together to form OVOXO. So what’s the real deal with Drake and the Weeknd? “As far as on paper, it’s all being worked out, but that’s not really what counts anyway. What counts to me is the fact that the affiliation is so known, and that’s all I really care about,” Drake told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway during his May 17 tour stop in Houston . The Young Money star didn’t shed much light on the Weeknd’s career, but then again, since the release of his breakout mixtape House of Balloons last year, the singer has been shrouded in mystery. Though he performed at Coachella last month and embarked on his own solo tour, the Weeknd has yet to give a definitive interview or released very many music videos. Still, Drake recognizes the magic they create together and whether or not he actually signs his Toronto running mate, he insists there will always be a union of some sort. “I want to continue being involved in his career and vice versa and keep making music together, because you take songs like ‘Crew Love’ and ‘The Zone,’ that’s what people wait all night to hear,” he said. Drizzy welcomed the “Wicked Games” vocalist onstage to perform with him during his Concord, California, stop in the Bay Area at the beginning of May. “If you want to talk about evolution — a quick evolution — that’s definitely somebody who, everywhere I go, they love him,” he said. “They’re that loud every single night when I say the Weeknd’s name and when he came out at the show in the Bay, it was crazy. “We’re definitely a family,” Drake added. “It’s definitely a Toronto thing. That’s not changing at all.” Where should the Weeknd sign? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Drake The Weeknd

Mac Miller Knows He’s ‘Really Makin It’ Thanks To Krispy Kreme

Mac gives MTV News his take on ‘The Baddest,’ amateur rapper Krispy Kreme’s viral video that features a shout-out of sorts to the Pittsburgh MC. By Rob Markman Mac Miller Photo: MTV Internet sensations come and go, sometimes with no rhyme or reason. Though they may be elementary, rapper Krispy Kreme has rhymes; it’s the reasoning behind “The Baddest,” his viral video that has folks scratching their heads. The clip has amassed more than a million views on YouTube since the end of April. In it, Kreme raps in his basement, bragging of his street cred and sexual prowess, all while brandishing a fake pistol. His partner, Money Maker Mike, doesn’t say a word; instead he just stares into the camera, holding a pellet rifle, wearing a light blue Mac Miller T-shirt. When MTV News caught up with Mac Miller , we asked what he thought of the clip he makes a sort of cameo in. “I don’t know, but that sh– is hilarious though,” he said. “That’s my artist. Sike, I’m just playin’. “I don’t know if he’s serious or not, but the dude with the Mac Miller shirt on has the rifle from ‘A Christmas Story’ aimed at the camera all the time and that was tight,” Mac said hours before he performed at the Bamboozle Music Festival on May 18. Clearly a parody, a snot-nosed Kreme taunts, “I bet I got more money than Jay-Z/ Compared to me Jay-Z is lazy/ Plus Beyonc— thinks that I’m cute/ It’s OK, Beyonc—, I think you’re cute too.” Krispy’s second video , “Haters Wanna Be Me” features more of the same tomfoolery. “I been shot about 500 times and I’ve done about one million crimes,” he spits in a slow, amateur drawl. Once again Money Maker Mike appears in that same Mac Miller tee. “That type of sh– is cool to me because I’m like, ‘Man I’m really makin’ it when random big videos on YouTube, they’re wearing my clothes,” the Blue Slide Park MC said. “That’s hella promotion for my clothes.” What do you think of Kripsy Kreme’s “The Baddest” video? LMFAO Hope They Have The Movie Awards ‘Anthem’

Kid Cudi, Chemical Brothers, Figurine and College/ Electric Youth also up for Best Music at Sunday’s show. By Kevin P. Sullivan LMFAO Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images The right song can make a normal scene in a movie one that goes down as a classic, and pairing a scene with the perfect backing tune can shed new light on a song you thought you knew. So for the MTV Movie Awards , we honor the music that met the perfect movie and made the magic happen. Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to cast your vote and make sure your favorite takes the stage this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET to collect the Golden Popcorn. Here’s our rundown of the Best Music nominees: College and Electric Youth’s “A Real Hero,” “Drive” If “Drive” had been just a straightforward crime thriller like a synopsis might suggest, it would have amounted to nothing more than an average genre entry with a pretty face attached. Instead, director Nicolas Winding Refn infused every inch of this new cult classic with ’80s nostalgia, including an electro-fueled soundtrack, led by the College/ Electric Youth collaboration “A Real Hero.” The pick could seem odd at first, but as soon as it kicks in and all other sound fades away, everything just clicks. Figurine’s “Impossible,” “Like Crazy” Young lovers inevitably come to adopt songs as meaningful and important to the memory of their relationship. Appropriately, last year’s “Like Crazy” featured a killer soundtrack, suitable for the impossibly cute first love. “Impossible” comes up during one of the more difficult moments in the film, when our ocean-crossed lovers are apart and old memories keep new ones from taking. It added a layer of reality and depth to a scene that felt straight out of real life. Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” (Steve Aoki dance remix), “Project X” When it comes to throwing the world’s greatest house party, a badass playlist lands at the top of the to-do list, right below “invite people.” Just a quick glimpse at the clip proves that there’s nothing quite like this Kid Cudi/ Steve Aoki jam to party till the sun comes up or the cops kick everyone out. LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” “21 Jump Street” Now if you’re more in the mood for party music to get stabbed in the back to, LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” may be more up your alley. The song turned out to be the perfect accent to Schmidt and Jenko’s first big house party as fake high-schoolers, and it showed that you shouldn’t let something like a pesky knife wound ruin your rager. The Chemical Brothers’ “The Devil Is in the Details,” “Hanna” Similar to “Drive,” “Hanna” uses fairy-tale motifs and a frighteningly memorable score from the Chemical Brothers to elevate what would have otherwise been a rather typical Bourne rip-off. The music adds a whole other level of danger and makes the tale of a tween-age master assassin all the more sinister and disturbing.
