Teacher Denies Making Racist Remark About President Obama To Black Student The teacher who allegedly told one of his African-American male students with presidential aspirations that the country “didn’t need another black president” says he was misquoted. via Cincinnati News The Fairfield teacher accused of making a racist remark to an African American student will fight the allegations. Fairfield Freshman School teacher Gil Voigt told The Enquirer he has requested a hearing to defend himself against the accusations. According to officials in the Butler County school district, Voigt told a black male student, who had professed his desire to follow President Barack Obama as president of the United States that “we do not need another black president.” Nearby students also reported hearing the comment, according to a Fairfield assistant superintendent who conducted a review on the allegation. But Voigt disputes the accusation, telling school officials that his statement was misquoted by the student, who Voigt said was not a very good student and was troublesome in class. The Ohio University graduate, contended during a meeting with Fairfield officials that he told the student “I think we can’t afford another president like Obama, whether he’s black or white.” Sounds like another case of damage control to us. Do you believe this shady teacher?
33-Year-Old Tutor For Wealthy Families Makes $1,250 An Hour Dayyyyuuuuummmmmmm, this tutor makes $400K a year AND gets free housing, cars/drivers, meals and free travel! According to NBC News: He looks and sounds like many other young, highly qualified teachers. Nathaniel Hannan, a 33-year-old Indiana native, went to Notre Dame and got his masters at Oxford in philosophy and geology before becoming a high school teacher in Washington, D.C. He loves to teach and has a gift for communicating. But today, instead of working for a school, Hannan tutors the children of wealthy families. And he makes up to $1,250 an hour. “It’s different clients, but the same business,” he said. Actually, it’s a different business entirely—and it’s growing rapidly. While much of the American education system is struggling with tight budgets, overcrowded classrooms and low teacher pay, the tutor economy is booming. More of the world’s millionaires and billionaires are seeking at-home teachers to give their children a leg up in the increasingly competitive and important education race. And, as the number of rich people grows around the world—and as more of them split their time between multiple homes in different countries—they are creating their own mobile, ultra-private schools in their homes. Tutors International, a London-based tutor agency that hires and places many tutors in the U.S., said its business this year will nearly double over last year. The typical salary for a full-time tutor today has jumped to between $70,000 and $120,000 depending on the requirements. But Tutors International has placed one tutor who is making $400,000 a year and another who was paid $80,000 for just 16 weeks of work. Along with their pay, most tutors also usually get free housing, cars or drivers, paid travel and meals, and occasionally even a private chef and personal assistant. “For these families, they look at the costs of just fueling their jet or buying a new sports car, and spending $100,000 or more for a tutor is not a great expense,” said Adam Caller, the founder of Tutors International and a former tutor and teacher himself. “They know education is important.” Caller said his clients fall into three basic categories. First, there are rich families who want to supplement their children’s schooling with added subjects and help them with homework. Second, there are families who have children with special needs, where home schooling is more effective. Many of his clients, however, fall into the third category: rich families that travel between multiple homes around the world and don’t want to be tied to one location because of their children’s school. Some of these families are also so rich and famous that their children would be mobbed at a regular school. “They may be based in New York, have a boat in France and a house in Mexico and in South Africa, and they want to use them all,” Caller said. “With home schooling and a tutor, they can travel wherever they want and still get to be with their children.” Caller said the tutor he placed for $400,000 a year was for a rich family on the West Coast. The student was having trouble with school and with substance abuse, so the tutor had to home-school the student and coach the student and his family through rehab. Since Tutors International employs its tutors—rather than placing them for employment by the families—the company monitors performance and receives constant feedback and performance reports from both the families and the tutors. “We don’t take our fee and walk away,” Knight said. “We have an interest in everybody being happy along the way.” Wow. Thinking about changing professions now??? CNBC
Nene is right Porsha … time to change that last name and stop with the gay hints. Nene Leakes Suggests Porsha Change Her Last Name Nene calls struggle bird Kenya Moore broke and tells Porsha to let it go….Nene is hitting the nail on the coffin these days According Rolling Out: It doesn’t take a genius to see from this season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” that Porsha Stewart is having a hard time letting go of her marriage and the pretense-filled dream life she had with Kordell Stewart. The now single housewife states that she’s keeping Stewart’s name despite the fact that he chose to divorce her. But in her co-star NeNe Leakes’ eyes, Stewart is holding on too much and she needs to let go of Kordell’s name to be free of him. During a recent interview on “The Wendy Williams Show,” Porsha explained that she was keeping the name because she felt it represented the woman she’d become. “I’m going to keep Stewart. It’s not his name. It’s my name. I was Porsha Williams and I was at one point in my life before I got married. Marriage has taught me so much. I’m a whole ‘nother woman now,” she told Wendy Williams earlier in November. “So, I’m going to own that last name. It belongs to me.” But in Leakes’ most recent Bravo TV blog, she addressed Porsha’s divorce drama and advised the younger housewife to drop Kordell’s name and reclaim her own name and life. “This situation with Porsha and Kordell has totally gotten out of hand! I hate when a couple breaks up and they just sling dirt on each other. When we met Porsha, she claimed to be living a fabulous, loving life with Kordell and now it’s all a lie. I’m not involved in their relationship, but I can say it’s sad to hear all the negativity. If you are so done with Kordell, be done with his last name as well. You guys don’t have children together, so why hold on to something that was negative for you?” Leakes asked in the post. Hopefully, after Porsha meets some new men she will follow Nene’s advice.

What do these teachers see in these underage boys? Teacher Arrested For Having Sex With Student Teachers are supposed to mold our youth not fawk them. Disgusting. According to Reading Eagle reports: A Tulpehocken High School physical education teacher was arrested Wednesday and charged with having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student. Nicole Kurowski, who was also a cheerleading coach, surrendered to authorities and was arraigned on an institutional sexual assault charge before District Judge Thomas M. Gauby Sr. She was released on $25,000 bail. State police said the teacher was engaged in a sexual relationship with the student during the 2012-13 school year. Troopers said a few instances of indecent contact occurred during school hours. Dr. Edward J. Albert, Tulpehocken School District superintendent, said Kurowski is suspended without pay. He attended her arraignment. Albert said he was made aware of the situation on Sept. 2, Labor Day. He said he received a tip from a person whom he would not identify. “I got the tip and I immediately got on the phone with the school board president (Scott W. Klopp) and our solicitor (Brian Boland),” Albert said. “I take this matter very seriously.” On that same day, Albert contacted state police and District Attorney John T. Adams. A preliminary investigation was conducted from Tuesday through Thursday that same week. Albert said Kurowski was initially suspended with pay. However, now that she’s been charged she is no longer being paid, Albert said. State police investigators recovered text messages and pictures with the assistance of the Berks County District Attorney’s Computer Crimes Unit and the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigations. The text messages were analyzed and it was apparent that Kurowski and the student engaged in conversations on a daily basis during and after-school hours, troopers said. Photos and messages stating “I love you” were exchanged between Kurowski and the student, troopers said. Some messages were sexually explicit, trooper said. “Any further discipline will be based on the ending of the investigation and the hearing,” Albert said. In the five years Albert has served as the district’s superintendent, he said he has not had to deal with such an issue. They should have fired her not suspended her without pay. SMH.
