Britney Spears Confirms Professional Split From Boyfriend Jason Trawick

Spears rep says the pair want to ‘focus on their personal relationship.’ By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears and Jason Trawick Photo: Lester Cohen/ WireImage Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have decided to go their separate ways, at least professionally. Trawick will no longer serve as Spears’ agent, but the two confirm that all is fine and dandy in their personal relationship. The pair “have decided to end their professional relationship and focus on their personal relationship,” a Spears rep told People.com . And while they continue to dodge rumors of their engagement, a source close to the couple added, “They are very happy. Things are really good with them.” Fans, however, might be happier to hear that Spears is hard at work on a follow-up to her 2008 release, Circus. “Since wrapping her recent world tour, Spears has been busy in the studio working on her next album,” her rep said. While there had been rumors that the album could be released sometime this summer, the fact that she is still working on it means that fans may have to wait a little longer. While details are scant about the new record, buzz about the album has been floating around the Web for quite some time now. Several names are attached as possible contributors to what will be the singer’s seventh studio album. David Guetta is involved, according to Idolator , as well as frequent Britney hitmaker Max Martin, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and Sean Garrett. Spears recently had fans salivating over her leaked demo of Lady Gaga’s “Telephone.” The song’s producer, Darkchild, spoke about the work he’s doing with the pop star on the album. “We talked about the direction of her album, [manager Larry Rudolph] gave me some insight into the direction, and he wants me to work on stuff for the album,” he said. The producer went on to assert that he’s very focused on the pop singer, and he’s determined to “write an international smash for her new album. “I think the fans deserve it, I think Britney deserves it and I can’t wait to get back into the studio with Britney. I’m about to go crazy on making something that’s so crazy. Since I’ve had that conversation with Larry Rudolph, I’ve studied some stuff from her last album and the Blackout album, and that was great stuff, but I think I’m going to bring something a little bit greater. I’m gonna give it my all to deliver something that’s crazy, crazy amazing for Britney.” Related Photos The Evolution Of: Britney Spears Related Artists Britney Spears

Paramount Pictures has announced that on May 8th in Manhattan, they’ll be holding an open casting call for the three leads in David Chase’s new film, “a musical-driven coming of age story set in suburbia.” So, basically, That Thing You Do! Got it. While it’s nice that the studio has given a modicum of hope to struggling actors everywhere, if you think Chase’s first post- Sopranos project is going to be some Todd Phillips-like free-for-all with a bunch of no-name first-timers, you’re crazy. Cue up some Journey, check out the casting notices, and take a look at our suggestions on who should star:

Confused by Paramount’s reluctance to greenlight the long-awaited sequels to Anchorman and Zoolander ? So, I put the question to you: How much do you think each of these sequels could make?

Paris Hilton Making A Musical Comeback?

Paris Hilton has revealed she met with songwriter Linda Perry, sparking rumors she is planning to relaunch her pop career. The 29-year-old wrote on her Twitter page that she had been working with Perry, 45, who was behind Christina Aguilera’s number one track “Beautiful” and Gwen Stefani’s “What You Waiting For.” “Went and visited Linda Perry at her studio. She is so cool and her studio is incredible! I respect her so much as a producer, what a talent!” Hilton released her first single, “Stars Are Blind,” in 2006 and it reached the top five in the UK as well as Ireland and Canada. She went on to release four more singles, which didn’t perform as well, and her first album – Paris – was released in 2006. She started work on a second album, which was never released. Owl City Is Under ‘Good Pressure’ While Working On New Music

‘There hopefully will be a few more ears willing to listen the next time around,’ he says. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Zach Smith Owl City’s Adam Young Photo: Tim Mosenfelder/ Getty Images By now, Adam Young’s journey from his parents’ basement to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 is pretty well-documented. And while it’s a pretty amazing story, the trick now for the man known as Owl City is to do it all over again. Young — who still lives in his tiny hometown of Owatonna, Minnesota (though he’s got his own place now) — is already at work on the follow-up to his breakout Ocean Eyes album. And yes, he freely admits to feeling all the pressure that comes along with the task. Though, unlike many, he’s channeling the increased focus to make his new songs even better. “I think it’s kind of a good pressure, in a way,” Young told MTV Radio. “Because I think through the upcoming singles, or singles from the new record that’s upcoming, I feel like now that I have a bit of an audience, there hopefully will be a few more ears willing to listen the next time around. [So] it’s kind of a good pressure, as far as having a bit more purpose behind the writing.” And while Young wouldn’t reveal what the new Owl City tunes are sounding like — it’s still sort of early, after all — he did admit that he’s finding solace in writing them. After all, the time he spends working on new stuff is about the only “personal time” he has in his increasingly hectic schedule. “Currently, the wheels are turning, so I’m really excited to get off the road here in a couple of weeks and get back down into the studio and kind of hide away and be kind of an evil genius for a little while and see what happens,” he said. “People are always telling you where to go, but … here and there I get a stab of inspiration, so I try to run to the laptop and type it out, or kind of demo it out on guitar.” The plan, Young said, is to continue working on the album between tours (his headlining jaunt runs until May then resumes in August, when he’ll open for John Mayer) and have the album out by the end of the year. That’s assuming everything goes according plan — something Young knows might not happen at all. “I’m excited to have a lot of time to mess around in the studio, and when I feel like I’m getting a bit stir-crazy, I’ll be able to get back on the road. So I’m excited,” he said. “Who knows, though. I’m kind of that perfectionist guy, so currently, I think the plan is for a new record in December, so a bit of a ways off but should be fun.” Are you excited for new Owl City music? New Clip Proves Jonah Hex May Actually Come Out on Time

Who knows what WB is doing with Jonah Hex ? From the very beginning, this summer movie has had so many strikes against it (it’s a Western, it has an unproven box office draw in Josh Brolin, the lead character is unattractively scarred, the director has never made a live-action film before, another director was hired for reshoots) that it’s a miracle it got made at all, let alone with a sizable budget. Still, for a movie coming out June 18, it’s more than a little bizarre that the studio waited this long to release anything related to it, be it a trailer or even stills from the production.
