Suge Knight’s bail was set at $25 million after prosecutors made the case that he is dangerous, and has been well before he killed a man in a hit and run. Calling him a “prolific and unrepentant criminal,” prosecutor Cynthia Barnes filed a mountain of paperwork this week to support her position on the matter. Barnes claims he was angry when he over and killed Terry Carter, and a look at the shocking Suge Knight hit and run video does little to dispel that theory. Suge Knight Hit and Run Video She claims he was upset about not receiving any money for his likeness that was used in Dr. Dre’s movie, Straight Outta Compton , and flew into a rage. One that isn’t even that uncommon for Suge and his “shameless life of crime.” Her argument, heard Friday morning in a Los Angeles courtroom, cited a staggering 31 incidents in the last decade in which Knight was linked to violence. She also submitted more than two dozen police reports that link Suge to extortion, robbery, assault, battery, witness intimidation and who knows what else. Oh, and Barnes says Suge has laundered more than $10 million since 2002. Knight’s attorney, Matt Fletcher, countered that the D.A. must watch Empire online , and is trying to play up the negative public perception of Knight. Yes, he liked Suge to Lucious Lyon, who was arrested on the Empire finale. Fletcher also pointed the finger at Cle “Bone” Sloan, one of the men Knight ran over, referencing Bone’s statement to police that he “f–ked Suge up.” Knight is in poor health, he says, and complains about living in solitary with no hot water, no blanket and only sporadic showers. Still, back he goes for now. At trial, Knight is expected to claim he was ambushed by gunmen prior to the incident and that he is going blind due to lack of medical care , but will a jury buy it? Back in January, Suge Knight killed a man in an alleged hit and run. Knight was arrested for murder and is currently locked up while awaiting trial. There were several witnesses to the incident, but conflicting testimony has made it unclear whether Suge was attacked (as he claims), or if the hip hop mogul simply ran over and killed Terry Carter as a result of his famously violent temper. Now, TMZ has obtained footage of the incident, but the issue of what really happened that day is still being disputed. Suge Knight Crime Scene Footage The above clip shows Suge arriving at a restaurant in Compton where Dr. Dre was filming a commercial for the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton . As soon as he pulls his truck into the parking lot, Suge is confronted by Cle “Bone” Sloane, who works on Dre’s security detail. Lawyers for Knight claim that the footage shows Bone was carrying a gun, and that he attacked Suge through the driver’s side window. Prosecutors are reportedly arguing that the clip supports their claim that Suge ran over Carter unprovoked. It’s unclear from the video what actually went down, but it does seem to show Sloane holding a weapon. Last week, hip hop mogul Suge Knight was arrested for murder following a deadly altercation on the set of a commercial for the upcoming film Straight Outta Compton. The confrontation ended in Suge killing a man named Terry Carter by running him over with his car and then fleeing the scene. It was initially reported that Carter was a friend of Knight’s and that his death was accidental. Later, sources claimed that Knight killed Carter intentionally, following an argument. Knight maintained from the start that he was attacked when he arrived on set, and that he had been invited to the location as a part of planned ambush stemming from his feud with Dr. Dre . Now, TMZ is reporting that Suge’s defense team has obtained videotape of the incident which clearly shows him being surrounded by armed assailants, which caused him to flee the scene. The video reportedly reveals that Carter was in on the ambush, despite the fact that he arrived on the scene with Knight. Suge claims that Carter helped arrange the planned attack by luring him to the set for peace talks with Dre. The former Death Row Records CEO – who was shot six times just last summer – says he panicked when he realized it was a trap and did what he had to do to escape the situation. Finally, some good news for Suge Knight…kinda. It was reported yesterday that Knight was handcuffed to a hospital bed and the situation looked grim for the 49-year-old hip hop mogul. Knight was rushed to the emergency room moments after pleading not guilty to the hit-and-run murder of Terry Carter. On his arrival, he was found to be suffering from potentially deadly blood clots. The clotting was apparently the result of Knight being shot six times back in August. (Suge’s really had quite the year.) It was the second time in three months that he’d been hospitalized due to clotting, and some insiders suggested that this time, Knight might not make it. But now, TMZ is reporting that Suge is out of the hospital…and back in the slammer. After being treated with blood thinners, the former Death Row Records CEO is reportedly well enough to be treated in the prison infirmary. You know your life has really hit the skids when going back to prison qualifies as “good news.” As for Suge’s legal woes, it’s not currently known when Knight’s murder trial will begin, but if he’s convicted he could spend the rest of his life in prison. Mama June Shannon has kicked Sugar Bear to the curb once more, this time after buying a new house and claiming he’s still dabbling in online romances. The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo couple famously separated earlier this year, which she blamed on his online horniness and he blamed on … well, you know. June rekindled her romance with former flame Mark McDaniel after the child molester got out of prison … for abusing June’s oldest daughter Anna Shannon. Mama June has sworn to Anna that Mark is out of the picture for good now, but it looks like she hasn’t patched things up with Suge nearly as easily. In fact, Shannon told TMZ she recently bought a new crib, and told him he won’t be joining her there after learning he’s still engaging in online romances. Sugar Bear, for his part, says it’s all harmless, that he never cheated on June and he just does the online “dating” thing for the thrill of the experience. Per Us Weekly, Lydia McLaughlin gave birth to her third child yesterday, a son named Roman Scott McLaughlin who was born in Orange County at 9:05 a.m. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 19 inches in length. “Baby Roman has captured our hearts and just like that our lives are forever changed,” McLaughlin tells the tabloid. “We are so grateful to now be a family of five.” The former The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member and husband Doug are also parents to Stirling, 5, and Maverick, 3. McLaughlin departed The Real Housewives of Orange County after just one season, opting to not remain with the Bravo series for season nine, telling Us Weekly of her decision: “It’s bittersweet.
