Which Recently Divorced Father Is Allegedly Close To Deadbeat Daddyville Already?

Which Recently Divorced Father Is Seeing Less Of His Child? Recently divorced father Tom Cruise has reportedly been seeing less and less of his daughter Suri since his divorce from her mother Katie Holmes was finalized earlier this summer. via E!News : Seeing Suri seems to have become mission impossible for Tom Cruise these days. Apparently, the star hasn’t spent time with his adorable 6-year-old daughter in over a month—a sharp contrast to near-daily pics showing ex-wife Katie Holmes doting over Suri’s every move. In fact, the last time the Rock of Ages star was snapped with his li’l cutie was in late July when he took Suri to Disney World, where the two hit the beach and where the pint-size fashionista channeled her inner princess in a Little Mermaid getup. But the explanation for the star’s absence, his camp says, is actually pretty simple: Cruise is a busy working dad. Hopefully Tom can work out his schedule to see more of Suri. No need for her to get caught in the crossfire, especially since she’s so young.

Kellie Pickler on Shaved Head: It’s Only Hair!

Kellie Pickler has shaved her head for the most important of causes: to show solidarity with good friend Summer Holt Miller, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in June. Was she afraid to take this step? Does she have any regrets? The former American Idol favorite opened up to Ellen DeGeneres on the latter’s talk show Friday. “It’s just hair!” Pickler said. “I will be honest with you, I was a little nervous and she was too. [We thought], ‘I hope we don’t have some crazy birthmark or wart or mole or something… but we had fun.” Pickler, who lost her grandmother to this disease, said she simply wanted to be there through chemotherapy with Miller. “I think it’s important to have a cancer buddy,” Pickler said the experience, adding that her pal is “doing good” despite the obvious difficulties: “It’s hard on your body, it’s hard on your mind. It’s not an easy thing to go through. But she’s a strong woman and she’s handled it with such grace.”

U.S. Marine Predicts Death In Afghanistan “The Guy Looked At Me Dad And Said They Don’t Want Us Here Or Need Us” [Video]

Deployed to a volatile outpost in southern Afghanistan where U.S. Marines routinely face a mix of skirmishes and hidden explosives, Greg Buckley Jr. sensed that an attack was imminent. And he knew that it would come from within. The 21-year-old Marine was posted to Garmsir in Helmand Province, where he was training local security forces as part of NATO’s planned withdrawal in 2014. It was during a static-filled phone call to his father over the summer that the Long Island native mentioned a run-in he had with an Afghan trainee while on guard duty. When friends become enemies The encounter marked the first in which the Buckley family’s eldest son seemed to sense something was wrong, according to what he told his family in phone conversations and a letter. “The guy turned around and said to Greg, ‘We don’t want you here. We don’t need you here,’” his dad said. “Greg turned around again and said, ‘Why would you said that?’” according to Greg Buckley Sr. But the trainee apparently wouldn’t relent, repeating the phrases for hours over the course of a night in which the young Marine was on guard watch. “Greg said, ‘I thought I was going to lose my mind,’” his father said. “Pitch black out, and all he kept saying over and over again is, ‘We don’t want you. We don’t need you. We don’t want you.’” “It was just tormenting for him.” The two men then finally confronted, yelling until a group of officers brought them apart, he told his father. “One of his superiors came over and had Greg apologize to the guy,” said the elder Buckley. The 21-year-old agreed and extended his hand, but the man refused. About a month later, Greg phoned his father again. “He told me if I have to stay here until November… I’m not going to come home.” Greg also asked his father to prepare to tell his mother and his two younger brothers that he’d be killed. “I don’t understand,” his father said. “Out in the field?’ “No, in our base,” Greg replied. 4 NATO troops killed in ‘insider’ attack in Afghanistan On August 10, 2012, Greg Buckley Jr. was gunned down by the very forces he had been training, just days after learning that he was to head home early. “It was only two days he had left there in Afghanistan,” his father told CNN. The phenomenon is known as “green-on-blue,” due to a color-coding system used by NATO. It has become disturbingly more frequent in Afghanistan, with more than 50 NATO troops killed this year by local forces, the first time that’s happened in a single year in the U.S.-led war. Last year, 35 people died in such insider attacks, and even less the year before, according to NATO figures. The killings have prompted suspensions of training new recruits while eroding the trust between NATO and its Afghan allies. The gunman involved in Greg’s death attacked from inside his outpost and killed two other fellow Marines, his dad said. But Greg Sr. said his son had informed his superior officers that “one day they are going turn around and turn those weapons on us.” CNN cannot independently confirm that Greg informed superior officers. Calls and emails to NATO’s International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan were not immediately returned. More than a decade after the war began, the Buckley family is now struggling to cope with the loss of its eldest son. More than 2,000 other U.S. service members have been killed in Operation Enduring Freedom. “It’s not really day-by-day,” said Greg’s mother, Marina Buckley. “It’s more minute-by-minute.” Back in Oceanside, the Buckley family on Friday attended the town’s first home football game, where their fallen son had intended to watch his youngest brother play varsity for the first time. “Greg was supposed to be home for this game,” said Justin, 17, who wore the number 30 on his back, Greg’s old basketball number. “I would tell him I love him and I miss him.” The senior running back, who dawned a camouflage jersey along with his team, broke to the outside on Friday for a 25-yard score that helped cement the Sailors improbable second-half comeback against top-ranked East Meadow. After crossing into the end zone, Justin raised his hand to salute — honoring his fallen brother. CNN

Siohvaughn Wade Alleges Dwyane Wade Abused Her Pregnant Azz And Claims He And Gabrielle Union Had Affair!!! [Video]

Siohvaughn’s got a whole lot of isht to get off of her chest. The ex of NBA Baller Dwayne Wade just gave a very detailed interview where she spit about her marriage, the abuse, and nasty divorce/custody battle. Siohvaughn basically alleges that Dwyane’s public persona is bogus and that he was abusive during her pregnancy with their child… Though the pair began dating in their teens, Sioh, with her arm in a cast, says their love went downhill shortly after he got drafted and had a few dollars in his pocket. Her mother later joined in the conversation and talked about the sacrifices she and her family made once Dwyane moved in with them….and how he now treats them poorly. On Dwyane abusing her while pregnant: I was pregnant with Zion. Shortly before being hospitalized I was in Florida and I woke up in the middle of the night because I was sick, obviously with the pregnancy. I noticed that Mr. Wade wasn’t in the house. I was calling him and calling him because it was probably like, two or three o’ clock in the morning and we went to bed together which means he must have gotten up out of the bed and just left in the middle of the night without telling me. I was looking for him. I looked around the house. I was calling his phone he didn’t answer. He finally got back several hours later, it was well into the next day and I was very upset. I was asking where was he and why he [would] just leave without saying anything. His response was at first to be verbally abusive. He was cursing, he was calling me names, he was telling me to shut the ‘f’ up.He picked me up and held me over his head literally in midair and threw me down in our bathroom. We had an ottoman in the bathroom and he slammed me down so hard that when my back hit the ottoman it broke into four pieces and my back and head hit the concrete, the marble floor, excuse me, in the bathroom. After that I got up and immediately went — there’s a cordless phone in the bathroom, I immediately went to that phone and I was crying, I was hysterical, I went to go call the police. At that point more hell broke lose because I suppose he was in fear of being exposed because I certainly was going to call the police. I picked up the cordless phone, he snatched it out of my hand and he threw the cordless phone against my body so hard that the phone literally broke into pieces. On when the relationship went downhill: It started to get really bad the summer right after he’d been drafted. I was over the phone with him and he had said something to me very, very, angrily, and I had something to him about speaking to me and being disrespectful and he told me, ‘Do you wanna go and live in your mother’s house? ‘Cause that’s what’s gonna happen. You’re gonna end up back living in your mother’s house.’ I was very shocked. It was a very, very awful feeling. We stayed together but now that I can look back, from that moment it went downhill. Siohvaughn’s mom speaks about Dwyane moving in: The night he came to me, he had two black garbage bags and he knocked on the door late at night. He asked me, did I mean what I said when I said that I would never let a kid be out in the street with no place to go. ‘You would never let a kid go hungry and you would always help them if they needed something for school’, and I said yeah, I meant what I said. And he said, ‘Mama, I’m home.’ So I was like, okay. Siohvaughn On Dwyane and Gabrielle Union dating AND the lawsuit: Separated and divorced are two different things. I’m not certain when it happened or when she happened but I know that I was very married. I know that me and Dwyane at that time had talked about reconciliation going back and forth. I was still even intimate sometimes with my then husband. So, does that constitute sleeping or having an affair with somebody’s husband? Yes. To me, divorce and separation are always two different things. The lawsuit was about her having a negative effect on my children….That’s what that lawsuit was about. Her behavior and the things she did and said began to effect my sons, that’s when I opened my mouth and did something about it. Wow! If this is true then Dwayne and his new book need to step aside and let Siohvaughn see her babies. SMH Source Images via youtube/WENN

Sam Bacile Anti-Islam Video Called "Disgusting" By Hillary Clinton

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is sharpening her criticism of an anti-Islam video by Sam Bacile that provoked protests in the Arab world. Clinton says the YouTube film, titled Muhammad , is “disgusting and reprehensible” and termed it a cynical attempt to offend people for religious beliefs. Hillary noted, however, that the U.S. would never stop Americans from expressing their views, no matter how distasteful, as they are central to freedom. Muhammad Movie Trailer Sam Bacile, who reports say is an Israeli-American real estate developer, posted the trailer this summer. Little is known about the man; he’s gone into hiding. She also says the film is no justification for violence or attacks on diplomatic facilities and personnel; a U.S. ambassador was killed in Libya Tuesday. Clinton said Thursday the U.S. is monitoring protests in Yemen and elsewhere, urging countries to take steps to prevent protests escalating into violence.

Wah-Wah-Weekend Receipts: Not Screened Cold Light Of Day Rings In Lousy Box Office Weekend

Woe is the poor, lonely Henry Cavill actioner Cold Light of Day , which opened in wide release and climbed its way to the bottom (well okay, #13) with a paltry $1.8 million take. As in, TOTAL. Not screening a film and giving it virtually no promotion will do that, even with the future Superman holding a gun and Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver posing like the T-800 on the poster. But it was also a terrible movie-going weekend all-around, with the bleakest numbers in recent memory spreading across all comers. Hit it for the Debbie Downer of Weekend Receipts and let’s all look to Finding Nemo and Milla Jovovich’s leather pants next week for salvation. 1. The Possession Gross: $9,500,000 (Cume: $33,349,000)
Screens: 2,834 (PSA: $3,352)
Weeks: 2 (Change: -46.4%) Lionsgate’s supernatural horror-thriller held the top spot with just $9.5 million in receipts – yikes. Expect the Jeffrey Dean Morgan – dybbuk picture to drop next week when real competition from genre sequel Resident Evil: Retribution muscles its way into the box office. 2. Lawless Gross: $6,002,000 (Cume: $23,520,000) Screens: 3,138 (PSA: $1,913) Week 2 How refreshing to see a movie for grownups zooming up the charts! Even with a less-than-stellar $1,913 per-screen take, the violent, sweater-filled Shia LaBeouf-Tom Hardy period drama is still director John Hillcoat’s biggest opener to date, behind 2009’s The Road ($8.1M gross) and 2006’s The Proposition ($1.9M gross). 3. The Words Gross: $5,000,000 Screens: 2,801 (PSA: $1,785) Week: 1 Despite a concerted marketing push, CBS Films notched a dud with this Bradley Cooper drama about a writer and a book and his lady and something something something … which goes to show that if your target audience doesn’t quite get what your film is about, they won’t show up in droves to see it. The Words was acquired at Sundance for $2 million, so at least it’s not a huge wash, but don’t expect this one to break out in the coming weeks. 4. The Expendables 2 Gross: $4,750,000 (Cume: $75,417,000) Screens: 3,260 (PSA: $1,457) Week: 4 (Change: -47.4%) Sly Stallone & Co’s old dudes kicking ass sequel made a splash this summer but suffered a -47.4% drop off. Could it be the testosterone-seeking set stayed home to watch beefy men hit each other on the football field instead? 5. The Bourne Legacy Gross: $4,000,000 (Cume: $103,700,000) Screens: 2,766 (PSA: $1,446) Weeks: 5 (Change: -44.7%) At least the terrible weekend put Bourne Legacy into the $100 mil club. (Worldwide take to date: $165 million.) Just a few weekends more and Universal should make back its costs + P&A! 6. ParaNorman Gross: $3,830,000 (Cume: $45,098,000) Screens: 2,856 (PSA: $1,341) Weeks: 4 (Change: -41.7%) The technically amazing (but pretty damn dark ) stop motion/CG kids tale earned some of the highest critical praise of late, matching The Dark Knight Rises with an 87 percent Tomatometer ranking. Fingers crossed more kids and parents seek it out next week as the much fluffier Finding Nemo 3-D re-release barrels into theaters. 7. The Odd Life of Timothy Green Gross: $3,650,000 (Cume: $43,007,000) Screens: 2,717 (PSA: $1,343) Weeks: 4 (Change: -41.8%) The tree-child-made-of-wishes picture suffered its biggest decline in week 4, on par with most of the weekend’s contenders. Was this odd fantasy not what children everywhere were jonesing for as they began their intrepid march back into the classroom? Did parents the nation ’round not clamor to see a weird-ass movie about infertility and magical babies as they re-acclimated to the grinding realities of sending their young back to school?? 8. The Campaign Gross: $3,530,000 (Cume $79,473,000) Screens: 2,542 (PSA: $1,389) Weeks: 5 (Change: -38.2%) Well, we had more interesting ( and comical ) political entertainment to watch on TV last week. 9. The Dark Knight Rises Gross: $3,285,000 (Cume: $437,849,000) Screens: 1,987 (PSA: $1,653) Weeks: 8 (Change: -46.3%) I love it when huge blockbusters with record-breaking box office tallies still sneak their way into the Top 10 with tiny returns. Are these repeat viewings or first-time TDKR -watchers? Who waits two months to see The Dark Knight Rises ?? So many questions. 10. 2016 Obama’s America Gross: $3,281,000 (Cume: $26,088,000) Screens: 2,017 (PSA: $1,627) Weeks: 9 (Change: -41.5%) Despite a significant -41.5% drop-off from last week (when it ranked #9), the polarizing partisan doc has reached its widest release, hitting 2,017 theaters nationwide. It’s now the longest in-theater release in the Top 10, with a $26 million cume to date. — 13. The Cold Light of Day Gross: $1,800,000 Screens: 1,511 (PSA: $1,191) Weeks: 1 WOW. Despite starring Bruce Willis, Henry Cavill, and Sigourney Weaver, poor little Cold Light of Day – the first wide release of its kind to not be screened for critics in a while – opened in wide release outside of the Top 10. The cold shoulder from Summit Entertainment helped the thriller on its way to an early theatrical grave. [Source: Box Office Mojo ]

Brad Pitt on Angelina Jolie Wedding: It’s Gonna Happen!

Brad Pitt assured fans Thursday that he is planning on marrying Angelina Jolie … even while offering no details on when and where it will take place. In London to promote his new film Killing Them Softly , the 48-year-old star gamely fielded questions about wedding plans with his gorgeous fiancee. “No plans yet, other than we are going to do it ,” Pitt said, adding that despite his steadfast desire to marry her, “I plan very little as I get older.” Insiders say Pitt and Jolie’s nuptials will be a “simple, joyous gathering” with a tiny guest list, and that means no celebrities overshadowing the affair. While Pitt and Jolie, 37, live at France’s Chateau Miraval, the wedding rumors followed them to England this summer as she shoots Maleficent . “It’s been a great summer here,” Pitt said of life in the UK at Thursday’s event. “It’s just been a great spirited summer with all the sporting events.” “It’s one of the most pleasurable times I’ve ever had here. We’ve been hanging out just having a normal life while Mama works,” he added. [Photo: WENN.com]

The Possession And Lawless Top Labor Day Box Office

Two newcomers, The Possession and Lawless topped the overall box office over Labor Day weekend, ending a summer that ended with not much of a bang. Overall, the Summer theatrical season fell nearly 3% from last year, winding up at $4.275 billion (vs $4.4 billion). The Expendables 2 , which had topped the box office for two weekends, made a landing in the third spot with only slightly less screens. Today’s grosses reflect a Friday through Monday Labor Day weekend numbers. The per cent change in revenue vs. the previous weekend only considers Friday – Sunday numbers. 1. The Possession Gross: $21.3 million Screens: 2,816 (PSA: $7,564) Week: 1 The end of the unofficial summer period proved softer than the beginning, though Lionsgate’s The Possession ended The Expendables 2 two-week reign atop the box office with a solid $21.3 million opener over the Friday through Monday Labor Day weekend. Last year, late summer arrivals Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Help gave an end of season push with those two films alone grossing $286.8 million to the 2011 summer box office through Labor Day. 2. Lawless Gross: $13 million (Cume: $15.14 million – Wed. opening) Screens: 2,888 (PSA: $4,501) Week: 1 The Weinstein Company opted for a wide roll out of John Hillcoat’s Cannes crime drama Lawless . Still with a bevy of stars including Shia LaBeouf, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce and Gary Oldman, the box office results weren’t particularly spectacular. 3. The Expendables 2 Gross: $11.2 million (Cume: $68.559 million) Screens: 3,334 (PSA: $3,359) Week: 3 (Change: – 34% vs three day gross of $8.9 million) After two weeks at number one, Expendables 2 skidded to the number three spot in its third weekend. The Friday – Sunday gross came in at $8.9 million for a 34% overall decline for the same days the previous weekend. The pic remained in nearly the same number of theaters vs. one week prior, which stood at 3,355 though the decline in screens likely indicates the title has piqued. 4. The Bourne Legacy Gross: $9,377,345 (Cume $98,375,785) Screens: 3,131 (PSA: $2,995) Week: 4 (Change: – 22% vs three day gross of $7,326,540) The Bourne Legacy settled at number four over Labor Day weekend after placing second the previous weekend. The Universal release lost 523 theaters though its screen average actually jumped over the previous week to $2,995 from $2,540 and its overall revenue drop was only 22% (in a straight Friday – Sunday comparison) despite the fairly steep loss of venues. 5. Paranorman (3-D, Animation) Gross: $8,817,758 (Cume: $40,292,002) Screens: 3,085 (PSA: $2,858) Week: 3 (Change: – 24% vs three day gross of $6,550,735) Paranorman lost 370 screens Labor Day weekend, but also saw its screen average rise to $2,858 over the previous weekend’s $2,473. In a straight Friday – Sunday comparison, the title was only down 24% from the previous Friday – Sunday gross, not bad considering the decline in capacity. 6. The Odd Life of Timothy Green Gross: $8.502 million (Cume: $38.38 million) Screens: 2,635 (PSA: $3,227) Week: 3 (Change: – 12% vs three day gross of $6,249,000) Disney’s The Odd Life of Timothy Green held steady in the sixth position in its third weekend. The title added 37 locations and its Friday – Sunday revenue dropped only 12% from the previous Friday – Sunday period. 7. The Dark Knight Rises Gross: $7.93 million (Cume: $433,246,000) Screens: 2,187 (PSA: $3,626) Week: 7 (Change: – 16% vs three day gross of $6.1 million) 8. 2016: Obama’s America Gross: $7,086,686 (Cume: $20,253,719) Screens: 1,747 (PSA: $4,056) Week: 8 (Change: – 14% vs three day gross of $5,586,686) The anti-Obama doc took on a good amount of extra capacity over the holiday weekend, adding 656 theaters. It’s overall Friday – Sunday gross dropped 14% from the previous week. The title has now grossed more than Michael Moore’s previous effort, Capitalism: A Love Story , which totaled $14,363,397 domestically. 9. The Campaign Gross: $7.02 million (Cume: $74,597,000) Screens: 2,941 (PSA: $2,387) Week: 4 (Change: – 24% vs three day gross of $5,665,000) The comedy dropped from fourth to ninth place in its fourth weekend, also losing 361 locations over the prior week. 10. Hope Springs Gross: $6 million (Cume: $53,357,000) Screens: 2,441 (PSA: $2,458) Week: 4 (Change: – 18% vs three day gross of $4.7 million) Hope Springs landed in the top 10 over Labor Day weekend after placing ninth last week. The title added 39 screens.
