Christina Aguilera to Guest Star on Nashville

Christina Aguilera is headed to Nashville. Per People, the singer and The Voice judge has signed on for a recurring role on the ABC drama. She will come on board as Jade St. John (what a name!), a major pop superstar who has been working very hard in the music game for over a decade. Look for the character to arrive in Tennessee for a two-night stand at the Bridgestone, yet for her real dream to be the recording of a country album… if only her label would let her expand beyond the genre of pop. So it’s sort of like Taylor Swift , but in reverse. Aguilera will debut some time this spring and appear on multiple episodes of Nashville Season 3 . In addition to this upcoming role and her gig on The Voice, Aguilera is set to produce a TV series for ABC Family. She also has plans to record a new album. Chris Brown’s Car Search For Guns Outside Pre-Grammy Party Trouble must have a GPS signal on Chris Breezy… According to TMZ reports : Chris Brown has cops on high alert these days … and an anonymous tip that the passenger in his car had a gun was enough for L.A.’s finest to spring into action. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the LAPD got a call from someone saying Chris’ passenger was carrying a gun. Chris was already inside Sayer nightclub in Hollywood, but the cops were able to coral the friend, detain him and search Chris’ Lambo. They found nothing. Chris was attending TI’s pre-Grammy party when it went down. Cops are well aware trouble sometimes finds him. You’ll recall he was performing at a VMA party at 1OAK last Summer when shots rang out and Suge Knight was hit 6 times. Last month 5 people were shot when Brown was performing in San Jose. On the bright side, Brown tweeted Friday he’s completed his community service in the Rihanna case. “Anonymous tip” sounds like cop-speak for “We know Chris Brown is around, let’s f*** with him.”. Johnny Manziel Enters Rehab, Seeks to "Improve" Himself

Following a dismal and embarrassing rookie campaign, NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel has entered a treatment facility. A first round draft pick out of Texas A&M, Manziel finished this season with just 112 total passing yards, two interceptions and zero touchdowns. The Browns were shutout in his only start and rumors circulated all year long of Manziel’s irresponsible, hard-partying, idiotic, Justin Bieber -like lifestyle. Advisor Brad Beckworth tells ESPN that Manziel checked in to rehab last Wednesday, though he did not provide a specific reason why. “Johnny knows there are areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and teammate and he thought the offseason was the right time to take this step,” Beckworth said in a statement. We presume, in this case, the areas in which Manziel needs to improve do not include arm strength, accuracy or dedication to game film viewing. “On behalf of Johnny and his family, we’re asking for privacy until he rejoins the team in Cleveland,” Beckworth concluded. Taylor Swift Nude Photos to be Released By Hackers?

Earlier today, Taylor Swift’s Twitter account was compromised by hackers claiming to be associated with Lizard Squad – the same group who famously hacked into the networks of major gaming systems over the holiday season. The hackers immediately began tweeting to Swift’s 70 million followers, encouraging them to follow various accounts associated with Lizard Squad. It seemed fairly harmless at first – as harmless as a forceful invasion of one’s privacy can be, anyway – but then the hackers began threatening to release nude photos of Taylor. Obviously, the incident brings to mind the widespread theft that occurred back in August when nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and dozens of other female stars were released online.  Taylor took to her Tumblr page today to acknowledge the hacking and admit that she is, indeed, frightened: “Well, now I’m awake,” Taylor wrote. “My Twitter got hacked but don’t worry, Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me a new password. Never a dull moment.” She later updated that her Instagram has now been hacked too, adding, “This is going to be a long day #THIS IS WHY I’M, SCARED OF TECHNOLOGY #WHO’S PARANOID NOW?” Between the theft of nude photos from Kate Upton and so many others over the summer and the recent Sony hacking scandal , online security has been in the news more than ever lately, and it seems that Taylor is the latest victim of cyber-criminals who are more interested in proving a point than making money. It looks as though Taylor’s accounts have been secured, and the hacks are currently being investigated, but a scary moment for the singer and her fans, nonetheless. Jerry Garcia Hologram to Perform Two Shows With Grateful Dead

The living members of The Grateful Dead have announced two exclusive shows this summer featuring a hologram version of late frontman Jerry Garcia. Jerry Garcia (1942-1995) Stemming from the success of the Tupac hologram Coachella performance of 2012, the Dead will be bringing Jerry back to his old stomping grounds. The performances in New York and San Francisco, at Madison Square Garden and the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, respectively, are set for July. According to reports, the virtual Garcia was created by HoloJams , a company devoted to capturing beloved dead rock musicians in hologram form. While some may find this decision controversial, the move is aimed at younger Dead fans who never had the chance to see the real Jerry Garcia. The hard-living rock legend died in 1995 at the age of 53. About the use of hologram Jerry Garcia, CEO Sam Watts said, “We’re very excited that The Grateful Dead have decided to use our holographic Jerry.” Tupac Coachella Performance “Once we ensure that these performances are well-received, there’s no telling what we’ll do,” he says. “We could even be looking at a nationwide tour.” The Hologram Jerry has been programmed from over hundreds of hours of Grateful Dead performances, predominantly from the late ’60s and early ’70s. “We wanted to capture Jerry at his finest,” says Watts. The company founder also gushed about his other holograms, including a Freddie Mercury, Jimi Hendrix, and even Paul McCartney … who is still alive. Jessa Duggar Joins Pro-Life Rally in Arkansas, Takes "Stand For the Life of the Unborn"

Voicing her religious and political views loud and clear, Jessa Duggar took to her State Capitol in Little Rock, Ark., to fight for what she believes is right. The 19 Kids and Counting cast member showed support for pro-life issues, participating in the March for Life, a peaceful demonstration that protests abortion. “Headed to Little Rock right now,” she wrote on Instagram. “Join us at our state Capitol at 2 pm, and together let us take a stand for the life of the unborn. ❤” While Jessa didn’t reveal which family members joined her at the event, the TLC star did share pics from the scene including one poster she approved of. “God loves life every life from beginning to end,” one sign read. Whether he was present or not, older brother Josh Duggar, who moved to D.C. to work as a political activist, would surely approve of her endeavors. As would parents Jim Bob and Michelle, whose outspoken views have won them millions of fans but just as many critics saying the Duggar family is a cult . The Duggars’ aren’t just conservative in thinking, they’re at the forefront of the political battles against abortion and same sex marriage, and unabashedly so. In the past year, Michelle Duggar has wielded her considerable political clout to change policies geared toward making life easier for gay and lesbian citizens. She fought a law passed to protect gays from discriminatory employment and housing laws, and in the process, critics accused her of hate speech. On the flip side, Duggar supporters believe their rights to freedom of religion and speech are unfairly under attack by those who happen to disagree.
