Tennessee Woman Stuffs Puppy in Shirt, Steals Animal from Pet Store

A couple in Murfreesboro, Tennessee were arrested this week after stealing a puppy from a pet store in one of this summer’s least stealthy crimes. As seen in the following video, the woman simply stuffs the dog – a rare Pekingese valued at $750 – in her shirt and walks away, seemingly unaware of the surveillance camera trailing her every move. Watch now: Tennessee Woman Steals Puppy Once footage of the burglary hit local news, a police officer recognized the woman at his next door neighbor and swooped in for the easy arrest. The puppy has since been returned unharmed and the two juveniles were taken into custody. They will likely face felony charges.

Chris Brown Hit-and-Run Case: DISMISSED!

Chris Brown’s hit-and-run case was just dismissed by a judge, marking a much-needed and somewhat surprising legal victory for the embattled R&B star. Prosecutors argued that Chris deserved to be punished, and severely at that, for his alleged vehicular law-breaking earlier this summer. Not happening. Chris’ hit-and-run victim struck a civil compromise with him; she didn’t want any money and the damage was so minor, she just wanted the case dismissed.  The L.A. City Attorney objected, arguing to the judge today that Brown was very aggressive toward the victim after the accident, which she did claim. Officials also argued that Brown was on felony probation and therefore his alleged misconduct was all the more serious, but the judge was not persuaded. The case was officially dismissed as of this morning. Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos said, echoing what Chris has said all along about this and other issues, “The case never should have been filed in the first place. “It’s unfortunate he was being prosecuted for who he is rather than what he’s done.” Team Breezy would concur. Now many he’ll be a little less down in the dumps . Chris Brown is Down 🙁

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters Reviews – Will Family Films Continue Box Office Dominance?

Family films have been the story of the summer. Well, family films and sequels. In some cases, family films that are sequels. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters falls into that category. A sequel to 2010’s  Percy Jackson & The Olympians , this new film surely hopes to find the same kind of success that  Despicable Me 2  and  Monsters U  have had. Before we can see how they do at the box office, let’s check out what the Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters reviews have to say. Then you can compare them to the  We’re The Millers reviews and go from there! There are plenty of bad films to get riled up about in the summer. “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” isn’t one of them. This is harmless tween-centric fun. — Peter Hartlaub,  San Francisco Chronicle For kids, Percy and pals are good company and the special effects are often fresh and eye-popping. There are further benefits for the few older fans on hand who love mythology. — Doris Toumarkine,  Film Journal International You might think it would be endlessly awesome being the offspring of an Olympian god, but it seems like kind of a drag, really, for young Percy Jackson. — Bruce Ingram,  Chicago Sun-Times Lerman is adroit at looking eager and battle-worthy but not too cocky in a film as much about character development as sword play. — Marsha McCreadie,  RogerEbert.com In Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, choosing the dumbest character is a colossal task. — Connie Ogle,  Miami Herald Tweens and young teens should be sufficiently distracted by the movie’s brisk pace and heroic mayhem – if they’re not too unnerved by its at times nightmarish imagery. — Gary Goldstein,  Los Angeles Times

Brooks Forester: Happy For Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried, Not Regretting Breakup

Brooks Forester says he’s beyond happy for Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried’s engagement, but does not regret flaking out on The Bachelorette when he did. Though some fans were hoping – and The Bachelorette spoilers predicted – Brooks would return in the finale and beg for a second chance, he did not. Brooks, who is single, has no regrets about that, either. “I know I made the right decision,” Forester says. “That was about being honest with Des and myself and that conversation, as difficult as it was and as bad as it hurt. I just don’t know how I can regret being honest.” “I look back and say that was the right decision.” “I never had a moment where I felt like I should go back and hash things out. Were there things I missed about [Des] and was I sad to see our relationship come to a close? Yes.” Brooks Forester adds, “Des deserves to be in love with someone that is equally in love with her. If she was at that point, great, I needed to get there and I just wasn’t.” As for the man who was, Chris Siegfried? The Bachelorette Finale Recap – Desiree Hartsock Engaged “I am excited for them and I wish them the best. As I said last night, it was apparent that Des had those feelings for Chris and I know Chris has those feelings for her.” “I love Chris. I think he is a genuine person and a great guy. Des got what she deserves and I couldn’t be happier for them,” says her one-time top pick. Brooks admits it was hard being portrayed as the “frontrunner” on the reality show, let alone being called as the winner in Bachelorette spoilers columns for months. “The last two months have been difficult,” he says, looking back. “Everyone assumed we were together. I am glad that it is over.” Did Desiree make the right choice?   Yes! Chris totally loves her and she loves him! No. Brooks was the one that got away. View Poll » Will Desiree and Chris last?   Yes!
