Jeremy Roloff and Audrey Roloff left Little People, Big World just over a year ago. But the couple has now made it more clear than ever before: They may soon be major players once again in the Little People, Big World universe . Confused? Let us explain… Audrey and Jeremy left this beloved TLC series in August of 2018 because they had simply grown sick of being followed around by cameras after so many years as program leads. They also wanted to pursue other business opportunities, which the husband and wife have done with great success over the past several months. They host a popular podcast… they wrote a best-selling memoir… they still run the company Beating 50 Percent. Of late, however, Jeremy has hinted that he’d be interested in owning a farm someday. And not just any farm, either — but Roloff Farms! In late July, after Matt Roloff made it pretty clear that he’s ready to move on and retire to Arizona with girlfriend Caryn Chandler, Jeremy wrote that he has “ideas and dreams for (hopefully) Roloff farms.” Asked by a follower why he hasn’t just gone ahead and purchased the property from his parents, Jeremy pointed to the cost . On a second occasion this summer, Jeremy emphasized that the farm so often featured on Little People, Big World would be “very expensive” to buy. This may be true — but whether it’s because his parents could give him a deal or because Jeremy thinks he’ll be able to afford the farm someday, he very recently implied that running Roloff Farms is a strong possibility for him and Audrey down the line. First, consider the caption Jeremy wrote alongside the following image of himself and his daughter, after they visited some friends: Did I mention that Ember loved our trip to @fivemarysfarms Haha. If you didn’t know, they have the best meat ever and they ship their meat nationwide! Give it a try you won’t regret it. There’s something about the farm/ranch life that touches me deep down. I love it. This trip and watching Ember play definitely reawakened us to a yearning & burning we have for land. We’ve always wanted property, but it obviously takes more than want to achieve something. It feels like time to make decisions and a game plan. Make decisions? Come up with a game plan?!? Jeremy is obviously referencing a possible farm purchase here… which is why a follower responded to his post by asking: “Is the family farm not an option? I always assumed you and Zach would take over from your parents.” To this inquiry, Jeremy answered: “It totally is an option!” So there we have it! So exciting, right?!? For those unaware, Amy Roloff sold a portion of the farm to her ex-husband, Matt, a few months ago. She’s in the process of looking for a home off the property, but she still has some control over the farm. It’s been almost a year since Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch broke up , but their split didn’t last. In fact, getting back together only brought them closer. Now, they’re making things official. Kevin and Astrid are now engaged! 35-year-old Bachelor in Paradise alum Kevin Wendt shows that finding love in Paradise really is possible, announcing the news on Instagram. “You’ll never walk alone again,” Kevin’s sweet caption begins. “From here on out, we run together,” he affirms. Kevin writes: “Astrid you are my family, babe.” “Forever,” he concludes, revealing that he and Astrid are now engaged. “08.28.19,” Astrid’s own announcement begins, marking the date of the proposal. “I could have sworn the world stood still in this moment,” Astrid recalls. She writes: “A moment I’ll never forget.” “Just you + me. @kevin.c.wendt you’ve taught me to love, learn, and grow,” Astrid gushs. “And,” she admits. “I can’t believe you’ve chosen me to spend this crazy life with.” “Wonder if I’ll ever stop smiling? Probably not,” Astrid concludes. “In this together, forever.” Kevin and Astrid tell People that Kevin poppsed the question on a sunset picnic in Toronto, where htey live together. “I actually forgot what I said. I just remember, it was a no-brainer to marry her,” the hunky firefighter admits. “I see her more as my family than any kind of girlfriend,” Kevin continues. “And I just knew I couldn’t ever let her go.” He reveals: “I quickly told her to move her bike because the ring box was so big and it was in my little backpack … that I didn’t know how to get it out of there.” “And so I told her to move her bike, and she kind of looked me like I’m an idiot. Like, why don’t you move it ?” Kevin narrates. “And as soon as she turned her back,” he details. “I grabbed it and crammed it in my back pocket.” “And I don’t know if you know,” Kevin adds. “But skinny jeans are not easy to cram things into.” “I was so clueless,” Astrid confesses about Kevin’s plan to pop the question. “And you never get a surprise really by me, ever.” “I feel like I pay attention to everything,” she shares. “And I had absolutely no clue.” Notably, Kevin avoided spoiling the surprise and had to take the risk of shopping for the ring alone. “I’ve always told him I don’t like when there’s too much crazy stuff going on in the ring,” Astrid recalls. “We’re very simple people.” “We were both in jeans and a T-shirt and a tank top [when we got engaged], which is just how we are every single day, which is so us,” she adds. “Rather than some crazy, fancy thing. So the ring definitely reflects both of our personalities,” Astrid says. “And he got a cute little inside joke engraved in it.” Just because the ring was simple and over-the-top doesn’t mean that Kevin didn’t spend a great deal on it. In fact, he admits that he probably overdid it. But clearly Astrid loves it and she loves him. Britney Spears has had a busy year, and none of it has had to do with her music. Her 30-day stint in a mental wellness facility left fans with unanswered questions, and now Britney’s court case is drawing more and more attention. Maybe she decided it was time for a change — because her new look is unrecognizable. An Instagram account by the name of Britney Spears 2000s has shared a snap of Britney Spears that has fans going wild. The sneak snapshot (really, it looks like someone took the photo while pretending to text, right?) shows the legendary singer out in public. But there’s something majorly different about the unparalleled superstar’s appearance. She has been blonde for years and years — to the point where it’s part of how people identify and portray her. Now, she’s gone full brunette and the difference is dramatic. See for yourself: As you can see, the woman strongly believed to be Britney is seated in a restaurant. She is wearing a pair of dark sunglasses along with a white blouse. Now, it is possible — given the glasses — that she is doing her best to obfuscate her appearance to avoid being ambushed by fans. (If you see your favorite celeb clearly not wanting to be recognized, be cool. Say “hi” or whatever as you walk past but keep walking, buddy ) If so, her brunette hair may be a tasteful wig designed to make people less likely to recognize her. On the other hand, let’s talk about Britney’s hair and the major symbolic role that it has played in her life. Famously, Britney once shaved her head. It was intensely dramatic and many people thought that it marked the end of her career. The truth is much more complicated. Britney would later explain that every time that she left, even to buy groceries, her team would insist upon fixing her hair to be picture-perfect. (Which makes sense, as reports say that they were also guaranteeing that TMZ would be there to photograph Britney, no matter how mundane her activities.) In order to reclaim a measure of independence and control over her own body, Britney shaved her head herself. It marked her freedom. Why is this valuable history lesson relevant to her going brunette, possibly with just an Alias wig? Because Britney is currently battling her own father in court as she petitions for greater freedoms. Jamie Spears has wielded his conservatorship over Britney — a conservatorship that was originally supposed to last only a weekend — for 11 long years. Earlier this year, even Britney’s mom, Lynn, took an interest in checking if Jamie is really deciding what’s best for their daughter. Britney is an adult woman and a first-rate mom who can make her own choices in life. So, has Britney altered her hair in a symbolic push for independence from her controlling father who micromanages all of her affairs? It’s certainly possible. She’s gone “dark” before, such as during the Blackout era. (If you measure moments in your adult life by silly things like “years” or “life milestones” instead of Britney eras, don’t even talk to me) That would be a much less drastic but still fairly obvious deviation from the image that so many people have constructed of her. But, for the moment, Britney hasn’t uploaded any photos or videos with brown hair. Nor have there been confirmed sightings of her as a brunette. It’s been a few months since we last heard from Thomas Markle. In case you were wondering, however, the bitter father of Meghan did not exactly change his angry tune during this mini media hiatus. He still wants to know if he’ll ever meet his grandson , Archie — and he still thinks the Duchess of Sussex totally sucks for keeping the lad away from his grandpa. Speaking to The Mail on Sunday — for the first time since Meghan Markle gave birth — Thomas reiterated several points he’s made before, telling the outlet: He is yet to meet Archie. Meghan won’t return his calls. And this whole situation just stinks, you guys! “I would like them to send me a picture of Archie so I can frame it on my wall beside the one of Meghan,” Thomas said, referring to a photo of himself and his daughter together at a football game. “Isn’t that what any grandfather would want? I’d love to know if he’s got the famous Markle nose,” he added. Thomas, of course, has been estranged from his famous daughter for decades. He’s been living a reclusive existence in Mexico for years, yet he made headlines early last year after confessing that he accepted money from the paparazzi in exchange for letting them take pictures of him. Thomas then suffered some health problems and did not attend the Royal Wedding in May of 2018. Markle now claims that neither Meghan nor Prince Harry reached out to him in the hospital and “never once has Meghan ever asked me how I’m doing. Not then, not since.” He also told the Mail on Sunday that he has apologized many times for staging the photos in the manner described above — and most recently sent Meghan a card for her 38th birthday. The response? Crickets. “I sent her a card via her financial adviser in L.A. but received no acknowledgment,” he told the publication. “I have no idea if she got it.” Thomas has said on numerous occasions that he just wants to be a small part of Meghan’s life, but that the Royal Beauty refuses to give him the proverbial, or actual, time of day. “There was never any problem between Meghan and me until recently,” he continued in this interview, adding: “I’ve stayed quiet because Meghan was pregnant with Archie but I’m speaking out now because they and their PR people are continuing to ghost me out of her life.” Does he hope to someday see and interact with his is grandson? D’uh! “Of course, I’m disappointed not to see Archie,” he continued. “I had hoped becoming a mother would mellow Meghan and she would reach out.” Meghan and Harry are both well-known for their humanitarian efforts. They’re considered an especially charitable and giving couple, but Thomas thinks the twosome have failed to live up to this billing. “Everyone raves about how gracious and wonderful they are, but they are not wonderful to their own family. That’s hypocritical,” he said simply. “You can’t portray yourself as being charitable and bringing people together and then ghost your own father and your entire family. It’s a simple saying that could seriously save your life, but maybe even more importantly, it can save someone else. Four Atlanta area hotels ended up ignoring this age-old advice and now, they’re facing federal charges for it. According to the AJC.com, these aforementioned hotels include a Red Roof Inn near SunTrust Park, a La Quinta Inn near North Point Mall, Hometown Studios–previously operating as a Suburban Extended Stay–on Peachtree Industrial Court in Chamblee, and Extended Stay America on Hammond Drive near Sandy Springs. Up to 20 men a day visited hotel rooms for short periods of time (which is a pretty obvious indicator of sex trafficking) and some women were forced to stay at the hotels for weeks at a time, according to four trafficking survivors. The federal investigation revealed these hotels knew about the sex trafficking going on in their facilities and not only turned the other cheek, but profited heavily from the illegal activity. Employees were paid to keep quiet and act as lookouts in case police arrived or other hotel guests were suspicious, the lawsuits state. The Red Roof Inn even had a sign that reportedly reads “No Refund After 15 mins”. “There is no legitimate reason for the Smyrna Red Roof Inn to have such a policy,” the four lawsuits state. “The policy exists so that commercial sex acts cannot be accomplished quickly at the Smyrna Red Roof Inn without also paying for a room…” Hopefully, these businesses are held accountable for their role in sex trafficking and no one else has to experience such trauma just because a hotel wants to make a quick $40. The plaintiffs are seeking trials by jury and unspecified punitive damages.
Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Fetty Wap Loses Big In Las Vegas At The Valet The old saying goes, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”…but it seems like the exact opposite is true when it comes to celebrities. That’s exactly the situation Fetty Wap is in the middle of right now. According to reports from TMZ , the rapper-turned-entrepreneur had an unlucky run in with the law while out in Vegas. The New Jersey native was arrested on Sunday at the Mirage after he and one of the valets got into an argument. Things ended up getting physical and Fetty allegedly punched the valet at least three times. To make the situation even more embarrassing for the public figure, Fetty was held by a fellow citizen under ‘citizens arrest’ until police arrived. Once in custody, his official cause for arrest cites “three counts of misdemeanor battery”–one for each of the punches he supposedly landed. This is the second violence-related brush with the law in less than 90 days for Fetty Wap. Back in June, the rapper was accused of assaulting a woman he met at a video shoot in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they are investigating this event, but no charges are being issued at this time. As for this latest Las Vegas event, Fetty Wap was only in custody for a few hours before he was released, though he’s bound to have a date with the judge sooner than later.
T hroughout his entire career London-born actor Idris Elba has used his craft as an avenue to bring narratives about Black pioneers to the big screen. Six years after playing the role of South African revolutionary Nelson Mandela in the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom , Elba will now star in a movie about the unsung stories of Philadelphia’s Black cowboys, Deadline reported. Fletcher Street is a Black horsemanship community that has been in existence for over a century. It was cultivated as an outlet to help Black men and boys escape communities plagued by violence and crime and learn about the importance of discipline and responsibility. The film follows the journey of a teen who was sent to live with his father in North Philly. While adjusting to the new environment and bearing witness to the impact of gentrification and poverty, the teen discovers the community’s urban cowboy culture and explores how horse riding is used to escape the dire circumstances faced by those in the neighborhood. Concrete Cowboys is loosely based on a book penned by author Greg Neri titled Ghetto Cowboy . Actors Caleb McLaughlin , Jharrel Jerome , Byron Bowers , and Lorraine Toussaint star alongside Elba in the film. The film is being produced by Elba’s production company Green Door Pictures, Tucker Tooley Entertainment, and Lee Daniels Entertainment. Ricky Staub will serve as the film’s director. “Idris had expressed a desire to be involved in projects uplifting to the African American community,” Staub told Philly Mag in an interview. “Idris has a huge heart in wanting to uplift new voices and to make an impact on the community.” As for the real-life “Concrete Cowboys,” they’re excited to see the story be transformed into a film. Ika Bradford says Fletcher Street Stables has forever impacted his life. “I had my time and share of doing this and doing that, all the bad things that ended me up in jail. Just being around the horses keep me calm,” he told ABC 6 . “Just have something to do. Stay out of trouble. Take your mind out of things in the hood, they’re playing basketball in the hood, but there’s nothing like a horse stable, I’ll tell you that.” The film is currently in production and there is no word on when it is slated to be released.
