Patton announced the news first, sharing that sincerely adorable photo above on Twitter of the happy couple along with his daughter, Alice. “What’d you guys do yesterday?” he asked. Ha ha, see, because it’s a chill caption for what was obviously a big event? Don’t worry though, because Meredith came through with some details. She shared the same photo on her Instagram account, and in her caption she wrote “True love. True happiness . Forever and Always. The Oswalts.” She revealed that the ceremony and the reception took place at Jim Henson Studios in L.A., and that “the uber talented and most geniunely marvelous woman” Martha Plimpton acted as the officiant. Martha Plimpton. Was the officiant. It already sounds like the best wedding ever, right?! As if this whole thing wasn’t sweet enough already, Meredith made sure to share several photos of her new stepdaughter — the daughter Patton had with his late wife, Michelel McNamara. In one she called her a “pretty girl,” and in a photo of Alice with Patton she simply wrote “My family.” Perhaps the sweetest of all though was a photo of Alice by herself — for that caption, she wrote “This little girl is MINE!!!!!!!!”, along with the hashtags “happiest auntie is now happiest MOM,” “I love Alice,” and “freckled face muppet.” Or wait, what actually could be sweeter than even that was the way people reacted to the whole wedding — with so much positivity! Patton and Meredith both received a whole, whole lot of hate when they announced their engagement back in July because people thought he’d moved on too quickly after his wife’s passing. Michelle McNamara died in April of 2016 , so there were just 15 months between her death and the proposal. It’s not really fair to judge him for moving on though, especially if we’ve never been in a similar situation. After getting all that backlash , Meredith wrote a sweet little note on Instagram, explaining that “Everyone has been so lovely to us… all of Patton’s family… ALL of Michelle’s siblings and friends and family… a few trolls have strong opinions.” “But I think for Patton, having met and found love after over a year of intense therapy and openly grieving and dealing with his pain… I am grateful to be the one who helps him climb out of the depths of grief and find some joy again.” “And most of all,” she added, “Alice is happy and feels loved. I have waited 47 years to find true love.” She also wrote that “Creating our family unit while honoring the brilliant gift Michelle has given me will be my life’s goal and happiness.” “I am deeply in love with both Patton and Alice and very much looking forward to a beautful happy life having adventures together.” Just from that, it seemed obvious that these two people deeply loved one another, and all this wedding loveliness? Another mass shooting has taken place in the United States. Around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday in Sutherland Springs, Texas, a man dressed in all black clothing entered First Baptist Church and opened fire. (The suspect has been identified as a 26-year old local named Devin Patrick Kelly.) He's believed to have killed at least 26 people, including someone as young as five years old, while injuring dozens more. Amber Portwood has ended all doubt and speculation: The veteran Teen Mom star is pregnant with her second child. Strong talk of Portwood’s expecting state has been circulating around the Internet for days, but the MTV personality herself came out on Friday and confirmed the news. “Thank you everyone for all the kind words. I’m very excited for my future with Andrew and our little family we are starting together! Love,” Portwood Tweeted this evening. Indeed, Amber will be having either a boy or girl with Andrew Glennon. She met him while filming Marriage Boot Camp and the two have been dating for only three months or so. The brief dating history between Portwood and Glennon suggests this pregnancy was not planned , a possibility that Amber didn’t deny when speaking to Us Weekly about the bun in her oven. “When I first found out, I was a little scared,” the 27-year old told this tabloid, adding: “I just kind of sat down and thought about it and realized that it was a big step in my life and it was a good thing actually, and I was really happy within 30 minutes.” Portwood is already the mother to an eight-year old daughter named Leah. He shares custody with ex-fiance Gary Shirley. “After the initial shock, it was nothing but happy thoughts and just enjoying my time with my boyfriend,” Portwood added to Us , saying simply of she and Glennon: “We’re both very happy. After revealing the baby news on social media and in this interview, Portwood received a slew of well wishes from other Teen Mom stars. “CONGRATS AMB! We are so happy for you & can’t wait to meet that little baby,” Tweeted Tyler Baltierra, while added: “Congratulations babe. I love you and can’t wait to see you at Friendsgiving.” Portwood responded to these messages by writing the following: “Thank you hun! Love you guys always.” She also posted the sweet photo below, further hammering home the status of her womb: We don’t know when Amber is due. Nor do we know if she’s having a boy or a girl. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. And did we mention…. WOW ?!? It wasn’t very long ago that Kevin Spacey was the face of Netflix. Signing the multiple-time Oscar winner to portray Frank Underwood on House of Cards signaled to Hollywood that the streaming service was serious about becoming a player in original content. But now Netflix has severed ties with Spacey, making a stunning (albeit understandable) announcement on Friday night. “Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey,” a spokesperson for the company said, adding of production company Media Rights Capital: “We will continue to work with MRC during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show.” Less than a week ago, Spacey was accused by actor Anthony Rapp of sexual misconduct. The Star Trek: Discovery star said Spacey forced himself on Rapp back in 1986, when Rapp was only 14 years old. Rapp kept the incident a secret for decades, but says he was inspired to make them public now after an endless array of alleged Harvey Weinstein victims shared their story of sexual abuse at the hands of the famous movie producer. Tweeted Rapp shortly after his accusations went viral: “I came forward with my story, standing on the shoulders of the many courageous women and men who have been speaking out… to shine a light and hopefully make a difference, as they have done for me.” In response to the allegations, Spacey acknowledged and apologized for his behavior. It’s not any better if you admit you’re attracted to the gender of the person you’ve reportedly assaulted. The ramifications from this scandal simply snowballed from there: Netflix announced House of Cards would end after Season 6. It then suspended filming on Season 6. Spacey then said he was checking into treatment, although he didn’t specify for what reason. Then, many more House of Cards staff members a ccused Spacey of acting inappropriately , saying he created a toxic environment on the show’s set. It was this final bombshell that prompted Media Rights Capital to release the following statement: “While we continue the ongoing investigation into the serious allegations concerning Kevin Spacey’s behavior on the set of House of Cards, he has been suspended, effective immediately. “MRC, in partnership with Netflix, will continue to evaluate a creative path forward for the program during the hiatus.” It’s unclear where House of Cards goes from here. There’s been chatter that it may kill off Spacey’s Frank Underwood and turn the drama over to Robin Wright’s Clare. This wouldn’t be SO far-fetched, considering Underwood resigned as President on the show to conclude last season and Clare was sworn in as his replacement. However, the series has already filmed two Season 6 episodes… with Spacey. We can’t say for certain what will happen with the series, but we can say we’re stunned by how quickly events have unfolded in this real-life drama. We’ll keep readers apprised as more news breaks.
Kim Kardashian has a very simple explanation for why she dressed as Aaliyah for Halloween this year. In a lengthy note on her website, the reality star says she meant no offense by wearing an ensemble that invoked the late R&B singer because she didn’t even realize Aaliyah was African-American. Kardashian came under pretty harsh fire this week for channeling Aaliyah, who tragically died in a plane crash back in 2002. A lot of the criticism centered on the concept of cultural appropriation and how some critics thought Kim wasn’t respecting Aaliyah’s ethnicity… … she was just exploiting it instead for her own self-serving purposes. The backfire stemmed from a video Kim shared on Instagram last Sunday in which she donned a glimmering bra and large rhinestone choker, including with the footage a caption that simply read: “Baby Girl Aaliyah.” Wrote one Twitter user in angry response: “Legend or not Aaliyah is a black woman and you’re not. It’s offensive and you shouldn’t push this limit.” In our view, it was stranger that Kardashian dressed up as a dead singer (something she actually did TWICE this week ) than it was she dressed up as a person of color. Except in certain circumstances, it’s just weird to use something as awful as a fatal plane crash as the basis for your Halloween costume. But here is how Kim defended her decision. “When I was deciding what I wanted to be for Halloween this year, I had a lot of ideas that I narrowed down to musical icons and my second costume was Aaliyah,” Kardashian wrote on her website yesterday, adding: “The look was inspired by what she wore in her ‘Try Again’ music video. “I wore a custom bra top and J Brand leather pants. Ariel Tejada did my makeup and Chris Appleton did my hair.” Continued the mother of two: “Aaliyah was such an amazing singer and she will forever be a music legend. “I saw online that some people thought my costume was in poor taste and I am truly sorry if that offended anyone.” When Kim thinks of Aaliyah, she says she only thinks about her in the context of her impressive career and influence. “When I was creating the costume, I wasn’t dressing up as a race or culture but rather as a woman whom I will always admire. “I play every kind of genre of music in my home and I like for my kids to be exposed to many different artists.” View Slideshow: The Kardashians Confess: 15 Things You Didn’t Know About Us Last year, North West dressed up like Axl Rose. We were paying homage to people and artists we love and respect it’s that simple!” Oh, Kim. You had us on your side until the end there. You don’t see color?!? Come on now. First, you actually joked with Jennifer Lawrence this week that you’re only attracted to black genitalia. Second, there’s nothing wrong with seeing color. The idea isn’t too ignore other ethnicities and cultures, it would actually be disrespectful to pretend they don’t exist. The idea is just to treat everyone equally and fairly and with respect. Keith Wilder Dead At Age 65 Keith Wilder, the lead singer of 70’s funk band Heatwave, passed away on Sunday . He was 65 years old. While no specific cause of death has been disclosed, Wilder’s cousin and bandmate Billy Jones told Dayton.com that he had been suffering from health problems and died peacefully in his sleep. He is survived by his mother Lucille, his wife, Linda, three brothers and four children. Wilder’s voice is likely most recognizable from Heatwave’s 1977 ballad “Always and Forever.” Rest in peace, Keith. Getty

But even though we know that Ami Brown is back in the hospital for another round of chemo, new evidence has surfaced of the Brown family being in Colorado — at their new homestead. Are they filming the new season without Ami?! Ami Brown has been battling stage 4 lung cancer. The Alaskan Bush People star and Brown family matriarch’s news has seen waves of support from fans and viewers of the show. If you’re concerned that living in the wilderness is no lifestyle for someone fighting cancer and dealing with the rigors of chemo, don’t worry. T he Brown family has been living large in their Beverly Hills mansion. (People don’t do reality television for free, folks — and the Browns have filmed seven seasons. Yes, that adds up to a mansion) The mansion is located just minutes from a hospital. All of this adds up to an ideal situation for Ami Brown. She can receive checkups and chemo treatments at the hospital. Then she can come home and, surrounded by her family, recover and continue her battle in comfort. Though they don’t know if Ami Brown is going to make it , the family is trying to stay positive and they hope that living in L.A. with its warm weather and sunny skies will do Ami a world of good. So … what are we to make of this? This beautiful, beautiful photo was shared by Rain Brown. Her caption provides a little context: “Breathtaking… #nofilter #sundayhike #stayhappy #staystrong #CO #sisterphotographer” Unless Rain is trying to alert us to the presence of carbon monoxide in the wilderness, we think that CO here means that she is in Colorado. Oh, and she tagged the location as “Trinidad, Colorado.” She says that she’s “hiking,” here, but you don’t have to be a geography whiz to know that hiking in Santa Monica or wherever isn’t going to take you to Colorado. Rain is also still just 14, so … we don’t imagine that she and her sister are in Colorado by themselves. Colorado, of course, is the site of the Brown family’s new homestead . A homestead that no one expected them to return to until, you know, season 8 begins filming. Rain shared another photo the next day, revealing that the family is still there. You can see the snowflakes in this photo. Rain did not tag her location here (which is smart, folks — for minors and for celebrities and for women, you might not want to advertise where you stop for a cup of coffee or shop). But it’s sure as hell not L.A. The last time that it snowed in L.A. was either 1962 or the season 3 Christmas episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer . Either way, not during Rain’s lifetime. So we think that it’s reasonably safe to say that at least a portion of the Brown family is in Colorado right now. Are they filming without Ami? There might be other reasons. Maybe, for example, Rain is just looking to make some friends in the area. It could also be that they sent just a few of the young Browns to check on the homestead and maybe make sure that whatever they already have there is prepped for the snow. Or maybe … no, we’re out of alternative explanations. Could the Brown family be filming without Ami Brown? They might. Even if Ami Brown manages to pull a total recovery, her days of roughing it in the wilderness — even just for the camera’s benefit — may be over. So it may be that, no matter how Ami’s cancer battle ends, the family will have to do the show without her. It’ll be different. And weird. But they’ll try to make it work.
