Well, they are both global superstars with a back catalogue of tunes that have kept fans dancing for a really long time and they both recently hooked up with will.i.am for tracks on their latest releases (the Black Eyed Peas mastermind worked on the pop vixen’s Femme Fatale tune “Big Fat Bass”). And, if Spears has her way, she and the ” OMG ” singer could be hitting the road together. When Spears sat down to talk with Sway Calloway for her “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale” special — airing Sunday (April 3) at 9 p.m. ET on MTV — the singer revealed that Usher is first on her list of artists she’d like to join her on tour. “Oh, I’m so excited. I’m really excited about going on tour, very,” she explained about her forthcoming summer trek, which happens to have a spot open on the bill now that Enrique Iglesias has pulled out of the gig . “I think Usher’s really great right now. I think he’s really hot right now. That would be cool [to tour with him].” The North American road trip is expected to kick off June 17 in Sacramento, California, and will run for 26 dates, winding up on August 13 in Toronto. More details will be announced soon. The “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale” special is a mixture of behind-the-scenes footage of the singer as she wraps up production on her album, which dropped this week, as well as an inside look at her life and fans. In addition, those who couldn’t make Spears’ recent nightclub show in Las Vegas will get to see her as she takes the stage in her latest pop incarnation. Pop star gives fans an intimate look at her life in the special, airing Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears on the set of “Till the World Ends” Photo: MTV News & Docs This Sunday at 9 p.m., ” Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale ” makes its world premiere on MTV. In the special, the singer offers an intimate peek inside her world, taking fans behind the scenes of her big nightclub show in Las Vegas and chatting with MTV News correspondent Sway about her life and career. The MTV special follows Britney as she makes her way into the studio to listen to “Big Fat Bass,” produced by Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am, who tells Spears, “I did some tweaking to the ‘Big Fat Bass’; the bass is even bigger.” Spears later explains the difference between recording tracks versus performing them live. “When you’re in the studio, you’re just really focused, you’re really in your head and in your ears and on the notes,” she explains. “And when you’re performing, it’s more a connection on the outside and more of — like a tiger and more in your body.” The pop star says it’s fans who fill the audience at those live shows who get her excited to perform. “When they’re screaming like that, they just hype you up,” she says, “and make you feel larger than life.” Spears has been a public figure since she was on the “Mickey Mouse Club” as a kid, and in 2011, she turns 30 years old. In the special, Spears admits that she wanted to be a famous performer since she sported a schoolgirl uniform in her ” … Baby One More Time” video nearly a decade and a half ago. “I think I hoped I would be [doing this],” she says. “I genuinely love what I do. Mildred Pierce Is the Film Event of the Year So Far — And It’s on HBO

To my previous rule of “Only Remake Bad Movies, Not Good Ones,” let me add the codicil, “But It’s OK to Remake Good Ones If the Original Strayed from the Source Material.” Because that’s what Todd Haynes does in his breathtaking five-part HBO adaptation of James M. Cain’s Mildred Pierce (premiering this Sunday, March 27). Rather than try to summon the magic that made the 1945 version so memorable (Joan Crawford won a well-deserved Oscar in the title role), Haynes goes back to the original Cain novel to tell a story that fans of the original movie know only in bits and pieces.

John Apacible, 38, Enrique Rustia Apacible in real life, died on arrival at a nearby hospital. He expired from two gunshot wounds in the chest. SMH. We can’t even believe this broad… Evelyn is so blown over the whole Tami beef she’s supposedly quitting being a “Basketball Wife.” According to TMZ reports “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada claims she was stabbed in the back by producers and wants to leave the show for good . Sources close to the reality star tell us … Evelyn feels producers violated her trust by allegedly divulging sensitive information about an illicit relationship she had in the past. We’re told Evelyn believes producers leaked the information to a female cast member in an effort to incite a violent confrontation between the two women on the show. We’re told Evelyn feels completely betrayed and even fired off an email to producers last night … saying she wants to leave the show for good. So far, no official comment from Evelyn. Oh dear, wherever will Vh1 find a drama queen who has spread her legs for multiple professional athletes to replace her?????? Newsflash Evelyn… YOU are a non mutha fu*kin factor BEYATCH!!!! For those of you thirsty to see what’s gone down since the cameras stopped rolling, the cast reunites for the two-part “Basketball Wives 2 Reunion Special” airing this Sunday, March 13th and Monday, March 14th at 8pm. By Jocelyn Vena Kim Kardashian on the set of her video for “Turn It Up” Photo: Celebuzz/ Kim Kardashian On her blog, Kim Kardashian is teasing fans with a new look at her Hype Williams-directed music video for her single, “Turn It Up.” In a series of photos she posted on her blog , Kim shows the process it took for her to get the Bo Derek braids she’s rocking in the soon-to-be-released video. In a few photos, fans see the finished look: Kim rocking the braids, wearing white fur and gracing peachy lips. In another pair of photos, Kim sits in a hairdressing chair as a team works to give Kim those corn rows. Back in December, Kardashian tweeted a photo of herself in the braids, without indicating whether the look would appear in her video. “Hype Williams came up with this Bo Derek braids look for the music video and I loved it!” she wrote about the hairstyle on Tuesday. “It took about four hours to do, and believe it or not I fell asleep! I wish I could have worn it longer.” Kardashian said that she’s wearing more than just this one look in the clip and that as the video’s release approaches, she’ll have more and more to share with fans about it. “We tried out a number of different looks in the video, and I’ll be sharing the other looks with you guys here on my blog,” she said. “I’m excited (and a little nervous) for you all to hear the song and watch the video. I really hope you all like it!” On Monday, Kim posted an image of herself in the studio while she was recording the song, which premieres on “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” on Sunday. “I am so excited for you all to hear my song. It debuts this Sunday on [my show] and will be available on iTunes,” she explained. “I’m going to start sharing all my pics from the music video shoot.” Kardashian has always said the song is a one-off and that all proceeds from its sale will go to a good cause. “I’m proud of myself that I tried something. It’s all in fun,” she explained about the song, which was produced by The-Dream. “We just had a good time and the proceeds are going to a cancer organization [because we both] lost a parent to cancer. So it’s just fun.”
