New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady hurt his left knee during a scrimmage with Tampa Bay Wednesday, but it looks like he avoided serious injury. Tom Brady Knee Injury During a full team workout, Tampa defensive end Adrian Clayborn bull-rushed Pats left tackle Nate Solder into the side of Brady’s leg as Brady was throwing. All three players hit the turf. Brady rocked backward on the ground holding his left knee. He did, however, get up and limp off the field under his own power. He returned for a few plays before talking with coach Bill Belichick and leaving with trainers. An MRI on Brady’s knee showed no structural damage. Brady, who was adorably visited by Gisele Bundchen and their son after training camp the previous day, is considered day-to-day with a mild sprain. The 36-year-old tore his ACL in the 2008 season opener and missed the rest of the season, but played every game from 2001 until then, and since. Look for the three-time Super Bowl champ to be on the field for the team’s September 8 opener, leading them to another stellar season and shocking playoff loss.
If you followed Kurt Warner’s story at all, you know it was only a matter of time before Mr. “Supermarket to Super Bowl” would be the subject of a feel-good biopic. Well it appears as if that time is now as it has just been announced that 20th Century Fox is taking on the rags to riches tale. Based on his autobiography titled, All Things Possible: My Story of Faith, Football and the Miracle Season, the biopic will undoubtedly focus on Warner’s incredible journey. The then-unknown quarterback went from stocking grocery store shelves to leading the Rams to a thrilling victory over the Tennessee Titans in 1999. Of course, being a Rams fan and seeing Brenda Warner on the sidelines a lot during those years, I’m a little bit ashamed to admit that my first thought at casting for her would be Kate Gosselin . Throw tomatoes at me if you must, but I think we can all agree, it’s the hair. No word yet on when we can expect this tear jerker to arrive in theaters.
In a stunning move that has left teammates shocked and angry, the Baltimore Ravens have traded All-Pro wide receiver Anquan Boldin to their 2013 Super Bowl opponents. In exchange, Baltimore will receive a sixth round draft pick… and… wait… THAT’S IT?!? Boldin is coming off an impressive postseason, catching 22 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns in four games. But the Ravens had reportedly asked the receiver to rework his contract and, upon his refusal, they will save $5.5 million in salary cap room with this trade. Not that it’s any comfort to Torrey Smith. The wideout took to Twitter in response this afternoon and wrote: “This business is BS at times.”
Leah Messer gave birth to a baby girl February 4. Or so we’re told. Reports circulated through celebrity news media that she went into labor during the Super Bowl and welcomed a daughter – her third – the next day. She never actually commented on it herself, though … until now! Sort of. “I need a tan now that I’m all skinny and such! LOL,” the Teen Mom 2 star wrote to a Twitter follower this week, regarding her plans to go on a cruise. That’s got to mean she’s no longer pregnant, right? We’ll take it. It’s a little surprising that the new wife of Jeremy Calvert has yet to share any pictures of their new addition, or her name for that matter, but we’ll take it. Given the alternative, we totally respect Leah Messer ‘s (in)actions. Sure, maybe she’s just holding out for a big tabloid photo deal/announcement, but there’s nothing wrong with keeping a few details private, too. Take note, Jenelle Evans . Please … just take note. O.J. Simpson apparently had himself a Super Bowl party this month. In jail. That’s not an easy feat, but neither is killing two people and getting away with it, then ending up behind bars anyway for kidnapping and robbery. Anyway, OJ, who’s serving a 33-year sentence at Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada, was not about to let that logistical issue get in the way of the big game. His friends crammed in to his 80-square-foot cell to watch, reports say. “If you have the money, you can buy a TV at the inmate store and put it in your cell,” Simpson’s producer friend Norman Pardo said of the former NFL great. Supposedly, Simpson is one of the new inmates with such luxury. “He’s like the Godfather of the prison now,” Pardo added. No word if O.J. bet on the 49ers, with whom he ended his storied career, or if he threatened to murder anyone if they ate the last of the chili and Doritos.

Don’t worry: There won’t be a conflict. The OWN interview will air at 8 p.m. this Saturday, and the HBO documentary airs at 9. The Oprah’s Next Chapter chat will apparently talk about the Beyonce-directed documentary, and also is being touted as her first interview about her showstopping Super Bowl performance. Buckwild cast member Salwa Amin was arrested and jailed on drug charges in West Virginia this weekend. She is being held on $200,000 (!) bond. Amin, 24, was arraigned Monday in Nicholas County Magistrate Court on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. State police say a multi-agency task force arrested Amin and two others late Sunday at a home in Summersville after receiving a tip from an informant. Snitches. Officers say they found oxycodone pills and heroin, while Summersville Jail Administrative Sgt. Rick Drake says Amin doesn’t want to talk to the media. MTV spokeswoman Candice Ashton says the network has no comment. Buckwild, sort of like Jersey Shore but set in the woods, shows a group of young West Virginia residents drinking, hooking up and doing crazy $h!t. It has drawn criticism for what some see as a negative portrayal of the state’s youth … and that was before Salwa was apparently busted for dealing.

Talking to the magazine about daughter Blue Ivy , the superstar gushes in an adorable, unique manner over her one-year old daughter: “She’s my road dog,” Beyonce says. “She’s my homey, my best friend.” Jay-Z’s beautiful half goes on to even discuss her child birth experience in a lovely way, telling Vogue ‘s Jason Gay: “I had a very strong connection with my child. I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain…We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication.” That’s… sweet? We guess? Beyonce concludes by saying the day Blue was born was “the best day of [her] life,” adding: “I feel like I have something that has grounded me so much more. Family has always been important. I’ve always had my mother and my father and my husband. But it’s just…Life is so much more than…It’s not defined by any of this [fame or money].”
So buff and so strong… We’re hearing stories that his locked up lifestyle has changed O.J. Simpson . He done changed his mind about women! According to National Enquirer reports : AFTER nearly five years behind bars, O.J. SIMPSON’s bizarre behavior has some of his close friends worried that the former football great has gone gay! “I don’t know what’s happened to O.J.,” an insider told The ENQUIRER. “He used to be Mr. Macho – a diehard ladies’ man. He preferred the really fine sexy blondes, but being surrounded by only men has changed him. “Now O.J. has way too much interest in guys, and he likes to show off his body to the hardened felons when they exercise in the prison yard. He’s doesn’t even talk about women, just about guys. “It doesn’t sound to me like he’s straight anymore!” Once a notorious skirt-chaser, Simpson was convicted in 2008 for robbing memorabilia dealers at gunpoint the year before. Not long after the conviction, the 65-year-old gridiron great was sent to Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada to serve a 9- to 33-year prison sentence. He isn’t eligible for parole until 2017. After the recent Super Bowl, the insider says O.J. called him – but he seemed more interested in the way the players looked than what happened in the game! “He couldn’t stop talking about Baltimore Ravens receiver Anquan Boldin,” noted the source. He said, ‘Anquan is my man! What a great looking guy!’ “Clearly, he wasn’t admiring Boldin just for his football skills. He kept going on about him and some of the other players in a tone that sounded sexual to me. “That alone wouldn’t make me worry, but O.J. also spends a large part of his time in prison lifting weights. Though his hair is graying, he’s built up his body to where he is really muscular.” Incredibly, Simpson puts on a one-man show for fellow inmates when they go to exercise. “He’s like a God to the other inmates,” said the insider. “He prances around flexing his muscles, wearing only a pair of gym shorts. “He spends hours in the gym trying to look as good as those guys in the muscle magazines. He works out with several inmates who are really built.” Perhaps the biggest tip-off that O.J. may now be playing for the other side is his choice of prison companions, according to the source. He says the former ladies’ man hangs out with a group of openly gay men known as “The Girls.” “WHENEVER HE’S LET out into the prison yard, he stays with them,” revealed the insider. “He says, ‘The Girls treat me like I was a king!’ “He claims they flirt with him and even give him massages. Some even call him ‘DJ’ – short for ‘Daddy Juice.’ ” O.J. has used “The Girls” as his personal posse for years now, added the insider. “He says he has even gifted a few of the ‘girls’ with candy bars, sodas and toiletries from the prison canteen,” continued the insider. “I’ve asked O.J. why he doesn’t talk about women anymore, but he just laughs it off. He says, ‘Man, what do you think I am? You’ve known me for many years. C’mon, get off all this. There ain’t no women in here! Of course I talk about guys. We’re all guys in here.’ “But I can’t help being concerned about O.J. He certainly isn’t the same man he was before being locked up.” The insider is not alone in his concerns. A source who’s been close to Simpson for 15 years confided to The ENQUIRER: “It wouldn’t surprise me if he has gone gay. “O.J. is doing the best he can living in the prison world surrounded by men. I don’t know if he has become gay. He always loved women and was a lusty lover, but anything can happen to a man behind bars. He has to be the center of attention wherever he is, and in prison he still plays that game. He is the star and has all the other prisoners looking up to him.” The source added that the only time O.J. previously seemed sexually interested in a man was years ago in a nightclub in Miami’s South Beach, where he swooned for 6-foot-2 professional drag queen Elaine Lancaster. Even after he was told she was a he, O.J. still wouldn’t give up the chase!
