No Doubt has left no doubt: it is very sorry if anyone was offended by its music video for “Looking Hot.” The video has come under fire because it features Gwen Stefani in Native American attire, tied up, handcuffed, dancing around teepees, and fighting cowboys. No Doubt – “Looking Hot” (Live Performance) In response to the controversy, the group has pulled the video from YouTube and issued the following apology: As a multi-racial band our foundation is built upon both diversity and consideration for other cultures. Our intention with our new video was never to offend, hurt or trivialize Native American people, their culture or their history. Although we consulted with Native American friends and Native American studies experts at the University of California, we realize now that we have offended people. This is of great concern to us and we are removing the video immediately. The music that inspired us when we started the band, and the community of friends, family, and fans that surrounds us was built upon respect, unity and inclusiveness. We sincerely apologize to the Native American community and anyone else offended by this video. Being hurtful to anyone is simply not who we are. Think this was the proper move?
Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, currently hospitalized and undergoing treatment for leukemia, paid a brief visit to his team in the locker room Sunday. The coach praised the upstart, 5-3 Colts for “living in a vision, not circumstances.” He then added, “My vision is that I’m living to see two more daughters get married, dance at their weddings and then hoist that Lombardi several times.” Back in the CBS studio, there were no words. After years of boring old White folks (and the Black Eyed Peas…ugh) the sins of Janet Jackson’s teet may be forgiven. The Super Bowl coming up this February will have none other than the biggest star on the galaxy: Beyonce herself. Congrats to her and her big show. Now, let’s do something fun and speculate about what she might be wearing on her big day. Let’s look at some of her most memorable on-stage outfits and wonder if she’ll up the ante this year.

So are they saying that Cam is a pu**y?! These folks got a lot of nerve, it’s only week 3!!! Has Cam Newton lost Charlotte? The second-year Carolina Panthers quarterback was the subject of a scathing editorial cartoon in Wednesday’s edition of The Charlotte Observer. He’s depicted performing his patented Superman touchdown celebration only to reveal a Hello Kitty logo on his chest. The cartoon appears six days after the Panthers’ 36-7 loss to the New York Giants. Newton was roundly criticized for emphatically celebrating a touchdown with his team down 23-0 in the third quarter against the defending Super Bowl champions. Later in the game, veteran wide receiver Steve Smith reportedly had “unchoice words” for Newton after the quarterback sulked on the bench following his third interception. Newton’s behavior in the postgame press conference was similarly sulky. On Sunday, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported Newton was seeing a “mind coach” to help him deal with the pressure of being an NFL quarterback. Newton denied the report. The 2011 No. 1 overall draft pick, Newton shattered a number of NFL rookie quarterback records last season, including those for most passing and rushing yards. But his record as a starter is a middling 7-12 and this, evidently, is a cause for the Observer to jump ship on the Panthers quarterback three games into his second season. A “mind coach”??? WTF is that about? We hope Cam doesn’t go the way of Vince Young and start losing his mind before his prime. Might cozy there guys… Michael Strahan’s “Live” Debut Boosts Ratings 44% Michael Strahan’s debut alongside Kelly Ripa on ABC’s syndicated TV program “Live With Kelly and Michael” boosted the audience by 44 percent from a year ago. Yesterday’s show with the former New York Giants football player as co-host was the most-watched daytime program in 14 of the top 15 television markets, Walt Disney Co. (DIS)’s ABC said in a e-mailed statement, citing preliminary Nielsen ratings. ABC tapped Strahan as the permanent replacement for Regis Philbin, who retired from the show in 2011. The program had relied on guest hosts for the last nine months. Strahan, who played with the Giants for 15 years culminating with a 2008 Super Bowl victory, will continue as an on-air commentator of “Fox NFL Sunday.” Produced by Disney’s WABC-TV in New York, the number of viewers who watched the program in that market more than doubled from September 2011, and was more than twice that of its nearest competitor, NBC’s “Today” show, according to the statement. Disney, based in Burbank, California, climbed 3 percent to $51.16 at 1:15 p.m. in New York trading. The stock had gained 32 percent this year through yesterday. Back in 2004, John accused Madonna of lip syncing during her Re-Invention Tour (said John at the time, “Anyone who lip-synchs in public on stage when you pay $134 to see them should be shot”) and has continued through this year. In January, he told Good Morning America that he hoped Madonna would “lip sync good” during the Super Bowl halftime show. John’s husband, David Furnish, even got into a scuffle with the Queen of Pop at this year’s Golden Globe ceremonies. “I like Madonna’s music, but not her movies,” Furnish said after John lost to Madonna in the Best Original Song category. “She should stick to what she is good at.” Now John is at it again. In a new interview with Molly Medrum on Australia’s Channel 7, the iconic singer blasted Madonna, saying her “career is over.” “She’s such a nightmare,” he said, before adding that “she looks like a f–king fairground stripper.” John said that Madonna had been “so horrible” to Lady Gaga, who happens to be godmother to his son Zachary. To that end, Madonna has taken aim at Gaga for what the Queen of Pop feels are similarities between Gaga’s “Born This Way” and her own “Express Yourself.” “It feels reductive,” Madonna told ABC earlier this year. When asked if that was negative, Madonna replied, “Look it up.” (“Reductive” is defined as follows: “Tending to present a subject or problem in a simplified form, esp. one viewed as crude.”) Of course, John’s controversial comments against Madonna aren’t without controversy of their own. John’s publicity team contacted an Australian entertainment reporter to say the quotes were fabricated. When told they aired on television, John’s team apparently said the conversation with Medrum was off the record. Wonder why Elton John’s people are so shook of Madge? The Eagles star QB isn’t pulling any punches when talking about the mistakes he’s made in the past. Michael Vick Set To Release Autobiography Called “Finally Free” The first excerpts from Michael Vick’s autobiography, “Finally Free,” were released Monday. In an exclusive interview with USA Today, Vick discusses his dogfighting past, time in prison and future with the Philadelphia Eagles. “Back when I was involved in those activities, I may have become more dedicated to the deep study of dogs than I was to my [Atlanta] Falcons playbook,” one excerpt reads. “I became better at reading dogs than reading defenses. That’s just so sad to say right now, because I put more time and effort into trying to master that pursuit than my own profession … which was my livelihood … which put food on the table for my family.” Vick was arrested in 2007 after being hit with felony dogfighting charges for his role in funding and participating in fights held by Bad Newz Kennels. After accepting a plea deal, Vick turned himself in and was eventually sentenced to 23 months in federal prison. “When we pulled up to the courthouse, (fiance) Kijafa [Frink] looked me dead in the eyes. ‘Don’t go,’ she said. ‘Don’t leave.’ Then she started crying. … Then I started crying. The pain they felt — it was all my fault,” Vick writes. Vicks also laments his decision to lie to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell when he had a chance to come clean about dog-fighting. “I knew how to lie with a straight face,” Vick writes. “Sad to say, Commissioner Goodell bought into what I was saying, and I think he truly believed me that I was telling the truth. I deeply regret not telling him the truth from the outset.” But now that newly-married Vick has taken his life back, it’s time to take his career back too… After spending 19 months in prison, Vick was reinstated to the NFL in 2009 and signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Vick became the Eagles’ starting quarterback during the 2010 season and in 25 games has thrown for 6,321 yards and 39 TDs and has rushed for 1,265 yards and 10 TDs. Vick even vowed to bring a Super Bowl to Philadelphia. “My story is not finished. I have more to do. I have something that I want give back to everyone that supported me,” Vick writes. “Here it is: I am committed, focused and determined to win a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles. This is my promise. It is my drive. I will work like a champion to get there. I want to do it for my family, friends, mentors, coaches, teammates, and fans. I want to do it for Philly.” “Finally Free” hits bookshelves on September 4, one day before the 2012 NFL season begins (with the Giants playing the Cowboys) and five days before Vick’s Eagles play the Cleveland Browns in Week 1.
