Fenty Sunglasses On The Way? A Conspiracy Theory From An Avid Rihanna Enthusiast

The rest is here:

Source: Robert Kamau / Getty Rihanna Navy! I’m freaking out. My brain is in a literal frenzy because it appears that Rihanna, Queens of Queens, Mother of Shade, Breaker of Billboard Charts, and Bad Gal of the House Fenty is launching a collection of sunglasses.    Here’s how I know!   Rihanna has been out and about lately sporting the most unique pair of sunglasses. They’re not quite square and they’re not quite round. But they are quite bomb and scream “Glow up!” Here are the terminator-styled shades perched on Rih’s beautiful face. The over-sized fit is a stark contrast to the tiny sunglasses she donned in Spring 2018. Now, she’s onto bigger and better.    All throughout January, the Bajan beauty has been breadcrumbing us to what will hopefully be a heap of gorgeous Fenty specs.    One of these pair unique shades is even said to posses a “Fenty” logo on the side. This was first caught by Instagram fashion account  Haus of Rihanna  and later mentioned by  Vogue . As of Tuesday afternoon, Rihanna posted a new Instagram story where she is donning another pair of mysterious shades while doing one of the many things she does best – posing. There’s also    a voice in the background explaining what sounds like terms to an exclusive service.   What is happening here?! Is @rihanna launching Fenty sunglasses or phone cases?!?! I NEED to know where I’ll be spending my money next!!! pic.twitter.com/5bxCzWqrEZ — Sade A Spence (@SadeASpence) January 29, 2019 “Every month. The first pack this February. It’s super limited. Only available first to the fifth every month. Only for extra VIP members, so you have to become a member to get access.”   The mention of “pack” and “first to the fifth very month” has brought me to the ultimate conclusion that Rihanna is dropping an exclusive subscription-based sunglasses service in just a few days – which means get ya coins ready y’all! You can thank me later. (Photo by Paras Griffin/Getty Images) Uploaded By Godspeed Earlier today we got our first look at Cardi B ‘s Pepsi Super Bowl commercial with The Office star Steve Carrell and now we have another Super Bowl Sunday commercial for Expensify featuring 2 Chainz and Parks and Recreation star Adam Scott. Shot in the form of a music video, Scott interrupts Chainz while he sits in his see-through Lambo (that’s some sh*t) to ask him for paperwork on the video’s expenses. This really falls in line with Scott’s character of Ben Wyatt on the hilarious NBC sitcom that made him a fan favorite. Check out the video below and let us know who had the better commercial between Cardi and Chainz.

Mo Money: YG Gets His $20,000 From Birdman After The Rams Make It To The Super Bowl

Source: Gina Wetzler / Getty YG Received A $20K Payday From Birdman In A Football Bet YG  has a lot of reasons to be happy right now. The rapper received a $20,000 payday from Birdman, all from a little football bet. YG officially confirmed that his payment came in on his Twitter account on Friday. Birdman money kame In — STAY DANGEROUS (@YG) January 24, 2019 Last Sunday, January 20, the Bompton native posted a video of himself celebrating the Los Angeles Rams and their victory over the New Orleans Saints in their NFC playoff matchup. As you probably already know, The Rams are now set to make their way to the 2019 Super Bowl and play against the New England Patriots on February 3 in Atlanta. Since the Rams’ win earlier in the week, YG has been on social media very publicly demanding that the Cash Money Records CEO pay him his money. Many fans jokingly assumed that since Birdman took almost 10 years to pay his own signee Lil Wayne, he would probably take his sweet time paying YG what he’s owed. He owes me $ https://t.co/PSsosXWd69 — STAY DANGEROUS (@YG) January 21, 2019 But luckily for YG (and for Birdmans’s reputation) that’s not the case this time. He paid the rapper his 20,000 less than a week later. Continue reading

Nick Cannon Thinks Travis Scott Betrayed Black People by Knocking Up Kylie Jenner

Nick Cannon thinks Travis Scott is a traitor to his race because he got Kylie Jenner pregnant. Okay, that isn’t entirely true: Nick Cannon thinks Travis Scott is a traitor to his race partially because he got Kylie Jenner pregnant. While appearing on BET’s Raq Rants this week, Cannon took Scott to task for a couple decisions he recently made as an African-American. In short, the America’s Got Talent host thinks the rapper has no appreciation for his culture. One basis for this conclusion is Scott agreeing to perform at halftime of next month’s Super Bowl alongside Maroon 5 and Big Boi. Scott had previously received flak for this move from Al Sharpton , who slammed the artist for supporting a league (the NFL) that has cast out someone protesting civil rights injustices in America (Colin Kaepernick). Kaepernick is the former 49ers quarterback who remains under for kneeling during the national anthem in order to call attention to police brutality in this country. “I’m team Kaepernick all day,” Cannon said on BET, explaining why he’s not angry at Big Boi for the planned Super Bowl halftime show, at least not compared to his feelings on Scott: “To me, I call it cultural equity. So, we’re not mad at Big Boi for being on the Super Bowl – he’s for the people. But for someone like Travis Scott, he’s got to walk gingerly.” Ouch , huh? Cannon is doing everything here but calling Scott an “Uncle Tom,” and a major reason for doing so apparently is the child Scott produced by sleeping with Jenner. “It’s more about truly having integrity to who you are in your music, your art form, the people you choose to interact with, the people you choose to procreate with,” Cannon explained. “That decision [to have a baby with Jenner] wasn’t for the culture, but we not mad at you.” Wasn’t for the culture . That’s definitely a new take. ONE, how many people out there have kids with their “culture” in mind? TWO, Scott most definitely did not plan to have little Stormi. The pregnancy was an accident. Cannon, who dated Kim Kardashian way back in the day, was put on the spot in this interview about his past dating white women — and he responded as follows: “I love white women, let’s set the record straight. But that’s the thing, it’s cultural equity at the end of the day.” We’re not saying anything more here about the weird pregnancy take, but for the record: Billboard reported last week that Scott agreed to perform at the Super Bowl in Atlanta only after the NFL agreed to donate $500,000 to an organization called Dream Corps, which fights for social justice. Aware of the criticism that has come his way, Scott recently released a statement that reads: I back anyone who takes a stand for what they believe in. I know being an artist that it’s in my power to inspire. So before confirming the Super Bowl halftime performance, I made sure to partner with the NFL on this important donation. I am proud to support Dream Corps and the work they do that will hopefully inspire and promote change.

SMH: CBS Rejects Super Bowl Ad Calling For The Legalization of Medical Marijuana

Source: MediaNews Group/Boulder Daily Camera via Getty Images / Getty Super Bowl Commercial For Medical Marijuana Shut Down Though The NFL and the Super Bowl in particular are known for running huge ads about alcohol, it looks like they’re not quite ready to put their money behind medical marijuana . According to reports from  Bloomberg , Acreage Holdings claims that  CBS  cut a medical marijuana ad from the televised portion of the Super Bowl after viewing a rough outline of the commercial. The multi-state marijuana company tells the publication that the goal of the advertisement was to “create an advocacy campaign for constituents who are being lost in the dialogue” and thought that the most-watched event of the year could help push this same narrative. Although medical marijuana is legal in over 30 states as of now, federal restrictions hinder many from actually obtaining their cannabis. Let’s look at Oklahoma, for example. Even though medical marijuana is legal in the state, the  Tulsa World  reports that it is against the law for a doctor to actually prescribe the substance. This is due to the fact that marijuana is still classified by the federal government as a schedule one controlled substance–which means doctors are prohibited from discussing strains and dosages with their patients as that would be considered aiding and abetting, which is punishable by law. These nuanced–and quite frankly, confusing–difficulties that occur around the country are the reason that many feel the commercial would have been informative and beneficial airing during the Super Bowl. Now, fans are calling out the league’s hypocrisy for choosing not to air the ad because, like we mentioned before, the big game is known for giving tons of air time to beer. And we all know network television has no problem airing commercials for prescription drugs. So the game sponsored by the alcohol industry that consists of people beating the crap out of each other and which turns a blind eye to domestic violence now has the moral high ground to decide that a little green plant used for medicine is too much for viewers to handle.
