Is Rick Santorum’s “Google Problem” website – the one that ranks first when you Google Rick Santorum , and produces a hilariously revolting definition of the former Senator’s surname – sponsored by fellow Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney? It certainly looks that way: Lovely. As if that weren’t bad enough, the ad shown here is from Mitt Romney’s official campaign (as opposed to the Super PAC he benefits from but disavows). The image above is not Photoshopped either. It’s unclear who is behind the site Google bombing Santorum, or whether the ad was bought for the site specifically or on an ad network that includes the site. If you go there right now, a generic AdSense spot appears. It could have been just a coincidence that AdSense used a Romney ad, but that’s still amusing. Either way, for the anti-gay marriage conservative, who went from also-ran to a top-tier contender overnight, it’s a Google problem that began long ago by a gay journalist who decided to have fun with Santorum’s homophobia, and one that won’t go away.
PETA doesn’t care that Super Bowl viewers saw a glimpse of Janet Jackson’s boob a few years ago. This irritating organization is far more concerned over the fact that the singer is wearing a fur coat in a new promotional ad for her Blackgama clothing line, as seen here: Naming Jackson its Grinch of the Year, PETA issued a statement this week that reads: “When Janet Jackson had her infamous ‘wardrobe malfunction’ during the Super Bowl, at least the flesh that popped into view was her own. Unlike the stolen animal skins that she drapes herself with, which are as dead as her taste in fashion (not to mention her career). Ms. Jackson, you’re just plain nasty.” And PETA knows a thing or two about nastiness. In order to drum up attention for itself animals, the company is starting a porn site .
Young Money MC’s latest Roman Reloaded track, ‘Stupid H–,’ teases a halftime performance. By Nadeska Alexis Nicki Minaj Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images At the beginning of December, Nicki Minaj teased her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, with the zany track “Roman in Moscow.” And early Tuesday morning (December 20), her latest single “Stupid H–” hit the Internet, showcasing her unrestrained, oddball flows and hinting that Minaj might be performing at the 2012 Super Bowl. The Young Money rapper spits one particular line that teases she may take the stage at halftime: “Put ya cape on, you a super h–/ 2012, I’m at the Super Bowl.” There has been speculation that Nicki and M.I.A. may perform with Madonna at Super Bowl XLVI , since both rappers are featured on her upcoming album. Super Bowl news aside, Nicki’s second single of the month taps into her multiple personalities and employs her off-the-wall flow. She spits verses in different pitches, slowing down and speeding up her bars and stretching out some syllables like she did on the remix of Big Sean’s single “Dance (A$$).” The track ends with the declaration “I am the Female Weezy,” and after one listen, it’s easy to understand why. The Young Money rapper handles the song’s chorus herself, repeating the title of the track in her quirky voice. For her final verse, she spits a few lines directed at an unnamed enemy (speculation has already pointed to rival Lil’ Kim) who she says should have befriended her instead. “Braxton Family Values” is the number one rated reality show to hit WeTV ever! After a successful season one, our favorite sisters; Trina, Towanda, Traci, Toni, Tamar and Mama Ev are back for round two of love, laughs, family and sisterhood. With the new season premiering tonight on WeTV, I had to catch up with our girl, Trina Braxton, and chat about what to expect this season. Take a look at my exclusive interview where we talk about her drinking “situation”, direction her marriage is going in, status on Tamar’s husband and being compared to the Kardashians. HelloBeautifu l: What can we expect to see this season? Trina Braxton: This season is crazy! It’s like season one amped up on super steroids! You get a glimpse of everybody’s life on this season. You’ll get to understand why I started drinking and why I gained so much weight. You’ll get to see my marriage issues play out. It’s basically an extension of season one. HB: Since you brought up your drinking “situation”, why did u start drinking so much in the first place? Trina Braxton: Well it was mainly because of what was going on in my relationship with Gabe. On this season, you’ll get to see where Gabe and I are going in our relationship. HB: Whats going on with the Braxton family album? Trina Braxton : You know, we’re still trying to figure that out. We’re actually still in the process of filming season two so we’re still trying to figure everything out! HB: So, how does that work: filming a season as it’s already premiering on the network? Trina Braxton: You’re getting everything as it’s really unfolding. It’s unscripted reality- and not that there is anything wrong with scripted reality. We’re going to keep it raw and true to the minute. You won’t see us fighting or anything. HB: We saw the sneak peak of Tamar getting put in her place by Mama Ev! Is this something that happens regularly whenever your baby sister gets out of line? Trina Braxton: The crazy thing is that we haven’t seen that episode yet so we’re watching it at the same time you all are! I will say that Mama does NOT play and if she feels like anybody disrespects her whether it be me, Tamar, Towanda, Traci or Toni or whoever, she’ll let them know! HB: I know that you are super close with all of your sisters, but is there one sister that you would consider your best friend over the rest? Trina Braxton : Like you said, we’re all each others best friends. We’re all extremely close but we do go through seasons and situations in our lives that bring us closer together. Like right now, Towanda and her children were staying with me for a while as you saw on the show so I would say that we’ve gotten extremely close over the past months. HB: How does the Braxton family maintain such a positive reputation in the media? Trina Braxton: Now, we are girls first and we are sisters so of course we argue and fuss and we know how to push each other’s buttons. But we also know how to build each other up. That comes with true sisterhood. We know how to make each other go “rawr rawr like a dungeon dragon” but we know what it takes to make each other happy and make each other smile. HB: How do you respond to people who compare you to the Kardashian clan? Trina Braxton: The thing is, you can’t look at them without looking at us too. There are a lot of similarities. We’re a family of girls, we have the same initials, we come from strict Christian backgrounds. Our show is about family and togetherness-and this is not to bash the Kardashian family in anyway- but our show isn’t about creating a brand, it’s about focusing on family and what happens in the day to day lives between sisters. Toni has always been a star, but you have never seen this side of her. You never saw what she was going through when she filed for bankruptcy , you never knew she was sick. There is a realness to this show that you can identify with and I think that everyone that watches has a sister that they can identify with. HB: Are you working on any solo projects? Trina Braxton: I am in the band. This season the band is doing some extra things and I am so excited because I am branching out and doing my own band. We have some tricks up our sleeves! Whats one urge you get but never act on it? I want to go wind surfing but I’m a scardey cat! It’s just so high up! When was the last time you cried? About 3 days ago. I cried with Tamar over my brother-in-law going to the hospital. He’s doing well. He’s taking it day by day. We’re very prayerful and faithful. Nicki Minaj , Kanye West and Maroon 5 were scheduled to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last night, but Jay-Z made an unexpected appearance. He hit the stage and performed with Yeezy, and the crowd loved it. Kanye was supposed to perform at the annual event a few years ago, but cancelled after his mother Donda West died. “Stronger” was one of the songs he performed, and he dedicated it to his mother. “I lost my super hero,” Kanye told the audience, “and now she’s my super angel.” Jay-Z joined Yay for “N—-s In Paris,” but altered the lyrics to “Homies In Paris.” Nicki Minaj rocked out to ”Super Bass” in characteristically colorful attire. ‘I think that this movie works because of its humanity,’ director Shawn Levy says. By Kara Warner Hugh Jackman in “Real Steel” Photo: DreamWorks Pictures With its impressive TKO into first place at the box office this weekend, it’s no surprise that there is a “Real Steel” sequel already in the works. The cat was out of the bag back in April, when news leaked that the studio had already commissioned the film’s screenwriter/actor John Gatins to begin work on a second installment. So when MTV News caught up with director Shawn Levy at the movie’s premiere recently, we tried to get a few more details from him about the potential franchise. “Well, it has certainly been leaked that the studio would like us to make another one, and that’s based on the way we’ve seen the audience react to the movie — they react really emotionally. So we’ll see, if we’re lucky in the next month, for sure we’ll make another one,” Levy said. But what direction will the sequel go in? Will there be more robots? New characters? “I think that this movie works because of its humanity, so if we made a sequel, the humanity would remain the priority,” he said, only slightly dodging the question. When we tried the same line of questioning with the movie’s star, Hugh Jackman, he didn’t slightly dodge the question, he discarded it almost entirely. “Imagine asking a football player the night before the Super Bowl if he thinks they’ll make the Super Bowl next year,” he said with a smile, meaning that the first film will have to rake in plenty of cash before the studio signals for the go-ahead. “It’s a bit like that.” Levy was a bit more loose-lipped when he spoke about the subject with IndieWire , admitting that the story will continue with all of its major players. “I will produce and direct again, yeah. Hugh [Jackman]’s definitely in and, certainly, I can’t give away too much, but Dakota [Goyo], Evangeline [Lilly] and Hugh are all a big part of the sequel. It is the same characters, the next chapter. It delves into the fallout of the new fame and money that the Kentons are going to have as a result of the Zeus-Atom fight. It also delves into something I thought was a cool aspect of the movie that I didn’t have time to get into, which is the class warfare between the underground unsanctioned world of robot boxing and the monetized corporately funded league. Spoiler alert: We already know who’s going to be in the Super Bowl. Well, the halftime show anyway. Madonna will headline the extravaganza, according to SB Nation (dot) com. The 53-year-old Material Girl continues the NFL’s recent tradition of recruiting musical legends to perform between halves. Over the last 10 years, the Super Bowl halftime show has featured such artists as Prince, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen. The move toward securing older artists came in response to the outcry over the notorious Janet Jackson-Justin Timberlake “wardrobe malfunction” of 2004. The Black Eyed Peas halftime show this year was kind of terrible, which didn’t do younger artists any favors either. Anyway, Madonna will surely bring her A-game.
