Madonna Teases ‘Pom Poms’ For Super Bowl, New Video

‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ collaborators Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. might join halftime show, Queen of Pop tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Madonna Photo: MTV News Madonna is nearing both the release of her “Give Me All Your Luvin” music video, as well as her highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance. And it seems that these two milestones will have a few things in common. First off, there’s a good chance Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. will not only play parts in the video for the first single off Madge’s M.D.N.A. release, dropping later this year, but as heavily speculated, they might take the stage with the Queen of Pop during the February 5 halftime show. In true Madonna fashion, when MTV News caught up with her at the New York premiere of her film, “W.E.,” she played it cool regarding rumors about the performance. Asked whether the ladies will join her at the Super Bowl, she coyly responded, “I am not saying ‘Yes,’ and I am not saying ‘No.’ ” The only tease she wanted to give was, “Pom poms. That’s all I can tell you.” When Madonna takes the halftime stage next month, her performance will be “imagined” by Cirque du Soleil and Madonna’s longtime choreographer and creative director Jamie King. According to reports, the set list for the show will include “Luvin” as well as the Madonna classics “Ray of Light,” Vogue” and “Music.” Of course, fans won’t find the theme a far stretch for the Michigan native, who was a cheerleader back in her high school days. “I have eight minutes to set up my stage, 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on earth, and I have seven minutes to take it down so that football field is clean for the second half of the game,” she told ABC News about the performance. “That’s the challenge. How do you do that? I actually wanted to have 100 drummers come from the ceiling, a drumline from the ceiling.” So, what else will the Super Bowl show and her Megaforce-directed clip have in common? Madge simply told us, laughing, “Pom poms.” The video was shot in December with both Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. on set. The already buzzed-about shoot made headlines after Minaj tweeted that the icon had kissed her.

Madonna Has ‘Fingers Crossed’ For A ‘W.E.’ Oscar Nod

Why Katy Perry Can’t EVER Forgive Russell Brand

Russell Brand is entering Justin Timberlake territory at Us Weekly apparently. No matter how little evidence they may have, they’re convinced Russell is a bad dude. Whenever Katy Perry gets around to writing material for her third album, the tabloid erroneously claims, she’s got plenty of dark, painful memories to draw from! The reason for that? Russell is (allegedly) penning a book about her! Despite public denials from a rep, the British comic plans to cover all the nitty-gritty, sometimes ugly details of their failed 14-month marriage … Us claims. “Katy is insulted and feels betrayed that Russell has treated her so poorly,” a pal to the “Firework” singer, 27, tells Us . “She will never forgive him. Ever.” For the record, Katy says no one speaks for her . Although Perry is supposedly “in panic mode” regarding her ex’s memoir plans, she’s back to work on her ongoing concert tour, commercial shoots and more. She’s taking pains to “limiting interactions” with Brand, another source says of Katy. “He’s being so atrocious that she feels like she never knew him.” FYI, he’s really not , as far as we can tell.

Why The Giants Will Win The Superbowl!

The rest is here:

If you’re a football fan, avid or casual, then you’ve heard the rumblings.  You’ve noticed how undoubtedly similar this New York Giants team is to the 2007 squad, a team that got on a hot streak late and went all the way to the Super Bowl and ended what would have been a historic season for the once 18-0 Patriots.  Don’t get it twisted though; this is not the same exact team, they’re BETTER and for a couple of reasons. Who do you pick to make the Super Bowl? Play our NFL Bracket game & enter for a chance to win Madden 12! A major contrast this team has with its 07’ counterpart is its absence of two former difference makers on both sides of the ball.  On defense it was the well known sack king- Michael Strahan .  Strahan holds the single season record for sacks and will most likely pass rush his way right into the hall of fame when he becomes eligible.  On the other side of the ball it was Plaxico Burress.  Yes the man who many non football fans would know for channeling his inner Cheddar Bob and shooting himself in the leg in a nightclub after the 2007 season.  That incident (unfortunately) overshadowed his game clinching touchdown catch in the super bowl just days before. Although, these guys are gone and were great in their Giant careers, they’ve been replaced with some youthful playmakers that any of the other 31 teams would love to have.  The Giants (still) have a ferocious pass rush, who don’t fall too far from their super bowl tree ranked third this year with 48 sacks as opposed to the 50 they tallied in 07.  Instead of Strahan this group is led by the second year phenom Jason Pierre Paul , who had a whopping 16.5 sacks this year. Veteran’s Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora, two holdovers from the Super Bowl team, are still there and balling.  They also replaced Plaxico and that group of receivers with some young blood.  The giants trio of Manningham, Cruz, and Nicks, who in particular is setting postseason receiving records, are playing at Pro Bowl levels right now. The biggest reason why the Giants will win the Superbowl is Eli Manning .  Yes the same Eli manning that threw a league high 25 interceptions one year ago and would often times have you scratching your head thinking “this guy is Peyton’s brother?!”  Well this has been a career defining year for Eli as he ranked 7 th in passer rating, set a career high in yards and completions, while keeping his interceptions to a modest 16.  The Same Eli who in the beginning of the season was mocked and ridiculed for saying he was an Elite quarterback.  After winning his second playoff game in Lambeau field, one of the most difficult places to play, no one has a right to argue with him.  He turned out a sensational performance and is the number one reason this team has had success this season.  So with only 2 victories keeping him from his second Superbowl, the next time Eli says he’s elite, not a single person should laugh or chuckle, in fact he doesn’t even have to, his play says it all. Giants Upset Packers, Ravens Advance

Original post:

A weekend of great football games was punctuated by the exit of the defending champion Green Bay Packers. The NY Giants defeated the “Cheeseheads” 37 to 20 thanks to stifling defense and one amazing Hail Mary TD pass from QB Eli Manning to Hakeem Nicks in the first half. Now the Giants will face the San Francisco 49ers, who had an impressive win against the New Orleans Saints, in the NFC Championship game next week. Ray Lewis and his Baltimore Ravens knocked off the Houston Texans to advance to the AFC title game against the New England Patriots.  The Patriots ended the Cinderella run of Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos with a 45 to 10 spanking. Stephen Colbert on Mitt Romney: Possible Serial Killer!

Stephen Colbert does not want to disturb you, but the leading candidate for the Republication Presidential nomination might be a serial killer. The Comedy Central host, who is actually running in the upcoming South Carolina Primary , makes this startling accusation in a new ad from his Super PAC, one in which narrator John Lithgow follows Mitt Romney’s own line of reasoning to its logical conclusion. If corporations are people, as Romney famously said at a campaign event last year, and if Romney gutted a number of businesses during his days in the private sector, well… what other conclusion can be draw? On ABC’s This Week today, Colbert was asked by George Stephanopoulos whether he truly believes Romney is a serial killer and replied: “That’s a question he has to answer.” Watch the commercial below and decide: Does it cross a line? Or is it a perfect form of satire? Stephen Colbert Primary Ad Attacks Mitt Romney
