Rick Ross Producer Aone Advises: ‘Get Ready’

Ross has recorded hundreds of songs for God Forgives, I Don’t, producer tells Mixtape Daily. By Alvin Blanco, with reporting by Ade Mangum Aone Photo: MTV News Behind the Beats: Aone Every rap crew needs a go-to destination for their beats. Rick Ross is aware of this and inked producer Aone, who is building up quite a reputable discography, to his Maybach Music Group. Aone produced “10 Bricks,” featuring YMCMB’s Birdman , which appeared on Rozay’s Ashes to Ashes mixtape. The upstart has also hooked up tracks for MMG members, including Triple C’s and Masspike Miles, as well as the Outlawz, French Montana and others. He is also working on a project with former G-Unit rapper Young Buck called Bond Money and will be handling all of its production. Not bad for a guy from another continent. “I’m actually from Nigeria,” Aone told Mixtape Daily. “I came out here about eight years ago, and I just started working with a couple of people. Mobb Deep — I started getting in the studio with them. I was influenced by Havoc just making beats and [DJ] Toomp and a lot of other producers.” Of his particular sound, Aone said, “I do a lot of sampling: I like to sample, but I twist up my samples. It’s a mix of the South, and it’s a mix of New York. It’s a mix of everything. It’s something different.” The producer is making sure to reserve his best beats for the home team. He revealed that Ross has recorded hundreds of songs for his forthcoming album God Forgives, I Don’t . “Ross is winning right now. I did a couple of joints for the album, but Ross, he’s always working,” Aone explained. “He’s in the studio; he’s recording over 200 tracks, so you never know. We did over six records already featuring different people. But Ross, he likes to take his time like a masterpiece. He got a bunch of work, so when it’s time, we gonna know. But we still working right now. I’m getting back in the studio, and we doing more stuff. God Forgives, I Don’t : It’s coming; get ready.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . Related Artists AOne Rick Ross

Michael Jackson Showed ‘No Signs Of Life’ When EMTs Arrived

ER doctor, medical-equipment expert and a former patient of Dr. Conrad Murray’s all testify on day four of manslaughter trial. By Kara Warner Paramedic Richard Senneff takes the stand in the Dr. Conrad Murray involuntary manslaughter trial Photo: Pool/ Getty Images The prosecution presented more incriminating evidence and witness testimony during day four in the manslaughter trial against former Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray. Witnesses who took the stand Friday (September 30) included medical-equipment expert Bob Johnson; Robert Russell, a former patient of Murray’s; paramedics Richard Senneff and Martin Blount; and ER doctor Richelle Cooper. Johnson’s testimony proved to be particularly interesting in that he claimed the device Murray was using to monitor Jackson’s pulse and blood oxygen level, a pulse oximeter, was an inferior model that did not feature an alarm that would have alerted Murray to Jackson’s cardiac arrest the moment it occurred. The alarm feature is a point of contention for the prosecution because they intend to prove that Murray showed gross negligence in administering a dose of the highly potent anesthetic propofol and then leaving Jackson in a room alone, attached to a device that lacked the proper monitoring capabilities. Johnson was followed by Russell, a patient who Murray operated on twice after he suffered a heart attack and had to have several stents placed in his heart. Russell testified that while he was pleased with the results of his surgeries, Murray became unresponsive and distant in June 2009, when he canceled two follow-up appointments with Russell. The last time he had any contact with Murray was via a voicemail the doctor left claiming Russell’s heart was “repaired” and that he was leaving on sabbatical. The message was left approximately 30 minutes before Jackson’s bodyguard Alberto Alvarez called 911. Fireman and paramedic Richard Senneff took the stand next to discuss the specific details involved in his attempts to resuscitate Jackson on the day of his death, particularly the fact that had Murray called 911 at the moment he found Jackson unconscious, the EMTs might have been able to save him. Senneff explained that when he arrived on the scene, only four minutes after they received the 911 call, Murray was “frantic” and that he had to ask the doctor three times what Jackson’s health condition was before Murray answered that there was none, despite the fact that he had been hooked up to an IV that was hanging nearby. “Simply, that did not add up to me, doctors in the house, IV pole, IV hooked up to the patient; it simply did not seem normal,” he said, before adding that Murray lied to him about giving Jackson any medications, including propofol. Senneff also alleged that there were inconsistencies in Murray’s claim that he called 911 immediately, given the fact that when the EMTs arrived and attempted CPR, Jackson’s skin was “very cool to the touch” and his eyes dilated. When asked if he witnessed any signs of life in Jackson, Senneff said, “No, I did not.” When Senneff’s colleague Martin Blount took the stand, he also told the court that he did not see any signs of life from Jackson when they arrived on the scene, and added that he witnessed Murray sweeping bottles of Lidocaine into a black bag before Jackson was taken out of the room. The final witness to testify Friday was Dr. Richelle Cooper, the attending ER physician who treated Jackson when he arrived at the hospital. Cooper recounted asking Murray for a full list of the medications Jackson was taking, as well as what he claimed had happened to cause Jackson’s heart failure. Cooper said Murray thought Jackson was only dehydrated from his long rehearsals and revealed that the pop star was taking anti-anxiety drug Lorazepam, Flomax for an enlarged prostate and Valium. There was no mention of propofol. Murray has pleaded not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter. He faces four years in prison and the loss of his medical license. Sean Kingston Details ‘Life-Or-Death’ Accident

‘What the accident basically taught me is, in life, you have to count your blessings,’ he says during ‘MTV First: Sean Kingston.’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway Sean Kingston Photo: MTV News Sean Kingston sat down with MTV News on Tuesday night (August 2) and opened up for the first time about the jet-ski accident that landed him in the hospital. During “MTV First: Sean Kingston ,” the singer spoke candidly with Sway Calloway at his house in Miami about the day that changed his life forever, letting fans know that months after his jet ski crashed into a bridge near his home in Florida, he’s now back and better than ever. “I’m doing good. I’m feeling great. I’m excited. I’m happy,” he said. “A lot of people don’t know it was a deeper situation. I had open heart surgery and I had two other surgeries; it was a life-or-death situation.” Kingston — the Jamaican-American singer who broke onto the scene with the “Stand by Me”-sampling song “Beautiful Girls” and scored another hit with the Justin Bieber collabo “Eenie Meenie” last year — was rushed to the hospital May 29 after a jet-ski crash. He explained to Sway that he was going about 35 miles an hour when he miscalculated how high the tide had risen and collided with a bridge. The singer revealed for the first time in the sit-down that just as he was being released from the hospital for injuries related to the crash, he was rushed into surgery to deal with a newly discovered heart condition. “They were gonna send me home, but then I had felt a pain in my left chest, and I told my mom,” he explained. “They rushed me and they did a lot of scans on me, [and] they said I couldn’t leave.” It was discovered that blood had filled up in his chest and his aorta was torn. He went into surgery several times to fix the condition, knowing that the risks were high, but he survived, and now he’s focused on the positive. “I’m 100 percent right now,” he said. “I’ve been in the house chilling, about to start work on my new album. I got L.A. Reid now as my new president . I got a story to tell now.” Kingston isn’t taking his new lease on life lightly. “What the accident basically taught me is, in life, you have to count your blessings,” he said. “You just got to keep God present at all times and think about the consequences.” During the chat, Kingston opened up about the details of the accident, talked about the support he’s received from celebrity pals like Justin Bieber and Chris Brown , his new music and finally getting the chance to meet the man who saved him after he crashed. MTV News will be rolling out more from the interview with Kingston, who thanked his fans for all their support after the accident. Share your well-wishes for Kingston in the comments below. Why Do People Keep Getting Plastic Surgery? [On Beauty]

This may seem like an easily answered question — people get plastic procedures hoping to look young and beautiful forever — but given a recent spate of cosmetic surgery horrorshows, we increasingly just don’t understand why anyone gets “work done.” Look at how plastic surgery is trending, right now ! Remember Heidi Montag ? She’s a character from MTV’s The Hills who used to be a person. That was many moons and several faces ago, and now Heidi looks like this: Bahhh! That’s a new highly humorous PSA about credit card regulations or something, the joke being that Heidi is now entirely made of plastic and chemical, just like the credit cards she’s saying bad things about. You know who directed this thing? Ron Howard . What an enabler! But also, why is Heidi joking about her face and not being able to smile and things like that? I mean, she actually can’t smile and things like that. And she seems to know that. So why would she get the surgeries done in the first place? In her case the reasoning is, yes, fairly obvious. Because she’s dumb and vain and on TV. But she’s also young, only twenty-three years old, and used to look like this . She wasn’t ugly at all! She had nice sorta WASPy, horsey Kennedy features. She’d have fit right in at Hyannis Port! But now… Oh now it’s all an ugly, too-smooth, melony mess. But again, she’s a vain and vapid reality star, one who is paid to be vain and vapid, and who is told by the likes of Ron Howard that if she keeps augmenting herself, we’ll keep paying attention. This is depressing, but vaguely understandable. But what I truly don’t get is how normal people, regular folks like you and your mom, could see those results and still say “Yes, sign me up!” How could they hear about Mexican singer Alejandra Guzman winding up in the hospital, severely unwell, after a botched butt injection , and want to go in themselves. Only to be shocked and horrified when something goes awry for them: Ha ha, a doctor was putting caulk in their ass. (Get it?) I know that people can be, like famous-ish Heidi, vain and dumb creatures (so blinded by vanity they are), but come on. When people found out that Olestra might cause you to poop your pants a little , they dropped that product like a hot potato. Are people really more frightened of the idea of something coming out of their butts than they are with the idea of their butts, in entirety, simply falling off? That’s disheartening. In 2010, that is very disheartening. Call me naive, but so much noise has been made lately about plastic surgery disasters — a conversation resurrected from the ’90s after a brief lull, it feels — that I’m just staggered that so many people, women especially, are subjecting themselves to the possibilities of, at best, having their faces ending up looking like mangled Laffy Taffy and, at worse, contracting fatal butt fall-offitis. Watching the Oscars on Sunday, there were some celebrities who have maybe gotten work and pulled it off — Kathryn Bigelow, at 59, can’t possibly look that good naturally, can she? — but those cases were very rare. Mostly, even in Hollywood circles that can afford the most expensive and exclusive doctors, you get Nicole Kidmans and Meg Ryans. Once-beautiful women who now look like sad, Twilight Zone wax versions of themselves . It seems better, more dignified, to admit to America that, yes, you are in fact a mortal who is affected by time, and let yourself look your age (Meryl Streep), than to strut down a red carpet with an embarrassing bulbous death mask of make-believe skin grafted onto your skull. I guess I just don’t get why, when so much evidence seems to suggest that most of this tucking and stretching and squeezing rarely ever works (the Bravo television channel does a whole series about this fact), we’re still hearing all these nightmare stories about people who willingly went under the knife. I generally like to think that we aren’t that broken of a culture. But maybe we are?

Olympic Skeleton Racer Katie Uhlaender Gets A Lesson From Carl Lewis

Olympic great comforts racer after disappointment in Vancouver. By Katie Uhlaender Photo: Shaun Botterill/Getty Images Sport No matter what the results are for an athlete in the Olympic Games, to participate in the Olympic movement is indescribable. To hear “USA” screamed by not only your family but also by other nations’ people who you have touched and inspired is an experience that truly teaches you what the Olympic spirit is. After going through four surgeries (from breaking my kneecap twice) and losing my father less than a year before the Olympic Games, it was a huge accomplishment for me to qualify for Vancouver. It was even more insane to have the fastest starts despite being barely six months from my last surgery. (Too bad I didn’t drive down the track as fast as I ran to curve one.) The Olympics is something we work years for, and it is over in minutes — everything has to be perfect. Nike is the only sponsor I have, and it’s a small deal, but they are full of love for their athletes. They noticed that I was unsure of what was next, and that I was a bit disappointed in the way things had gone down leading into my race since I had really wanted to bring home a medal for my country and my father. Nike sought to remind me what I was a part of, so they told me I was going to watch long track with Carl Lewis! A lot of my disappointment came from how I wanted to walk away from the race prepared, with everything in place, and somehow I allowed that not to happen. I worked so hard for four years, and I walked away wondering what if? Carl listened and said the key to success is finding a support group you can depend on and one person within that group that will look you in the eye and say, “You will be Olympic champion.” At this point I could feel my eyes watering up, and I realized that one person had been my father. I was crying in front of Carl Lewis! I was so embarrassed, but I couldn’t help it. He looked at me as though he was about to start crying as well, and told me how he had also lost his father at 23. I was shocked! He assured me it was going to get better, and asked me what I thought my father would say to me now. He told me my father had been around long enough to make sure I was ready to go out and be the woman he raised me to be, to represent my country and my family name, and to know he has left me with the tools and the knowledge I need to win. I need to let go, and once I’m able to do that my father will be even closer to me. I need faith that I am prepared to face life without him. The rest will come. It’s about finding that person that I can count on no matter what in this new chapter of life without my father. No one will replace him, but it’s time to grow and evolve into, hopefully, that Olympic champion he knew I could be. Carl helped me realize I can’t do this alone, and it will be very important to find that key support. He reminded me what the Olympics are truly about: educating and inspiring those around us to live life with passion and integrity. Those were the basic principles my father taught me, among many other life lessons, and I am honored to be a part of that. There are so many athletes here that have inspired me and picked me up, and not all of them were American. It’s not about nation, it’s not about glory; it is about inspiration.

Lisa Rinna Apologizes to Heidi Montag for Plastic Surgery Comments

Getty Images Lisa Rinna wasn't playing very nice when she spouted off about Heidi Montag 's plastic surgery spree. The 46-year-old actress said she wouldn't allow her daughters to look at pictures of the Hills star after she underwent 10 procedures in one day. Heidi Montag got 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day (Getty) In an interview, Rinna said she ripped up a copy of People magazine's cover because it featured pictures of the reality star post-surgery. “We have two girls,” Rinna said (via Us magazine). “I don't think it is something you want to bring in the house and say, 'Oh, look.'” But, wasn't she being just a tad hypocritical? Rinna has had plenty of nips and tucks, including Botox, lip-plumping, and breast implants. Heidi's surgeries might be a little more extensive (which included Botox, a nose job revision, breast implants, brow lift, and neck liposuction), but come on now. Rinna claimed today she didn't mean to offend Montag, and tweeted: “I apologize to Miss Montag if my words were taken and used against her in the press. I did not slam her or her surgeries for the record.” Heidi probably didn't care that much though, she's been very open about going under the knife, and even talked about her bigger bust last week: “I didn't get them as big as I originally wanted!” she said. Lindsay Lohan Lookin’ Tired of the Day

Lindsay Lohan has really lost her celebrity Flare. Here she is at Fashion Week hanging out with celebrity photographer Terry Richardson, holding on as hard as she can, and she definitely doesn’t look fresh faced and 23. I know that when it comes to Lohan, it’s all been said before and I’m really not posting this to laugh at her or make jokes about her, I am not even doing it to point out the obvious, I just don’t really understand why she looks so fucking old, I’m talking like a haggard, drug addict who has fucked a solid 20 people more than what’s considerd normal in a given day in efforts to pay for more drugs that I know, when she’s got all the money she needs to live for the rest of her life

Shut the Fuck Up Wendy Williams of the Day

Wendy Williams is some dude who used to be on the radio because his face and his sexual ambiguity scared little kids cuz shit looks like some kind of evil muppet, but the fact that she cries all the fucking time scares me. I wrote about me laughing at her crying about not breast feed her baby because she was a man and man tit doesn’t let you breast feed, but it turns out that in his youth, before all the surgeries, motherfucker used to be a cocaine fiend, something I’d expect from someone insecure about who they are, you know not compfortable in his skin, but comfortable in women’s panties, before realizing that he should be a she and when he became a she, turning his life around and really making something out of his life as a she, like some kind of new lease, and bitch starts crying again. This show is a little emotionally unstable for me, hold it together, we know you think women are supposed to cry all the time, and that is part of the reason you got the chop, but we don’t need to see that shit every fucking day, not to mention running a segment talking to Whitney Houston who isn’t a guest on your show is as awkward as me writing a post to you when you aren’t even reading it, but I guess I do it for my tranny loving “straight” readers….so quit flattering yourself like trannies tend to do….
