Dr. Phil Accused Of Giving Drugs To Addicts Multiple guests of the “Dr. Phil” show claim that the good doctor fed their addictions in the name of good TV. According to Page Six , several addicts have come forward with accusations that Dr. Phil and his production staff put them at risk by leaving them without medical attention or by supplying drugs and alcohol to them throughout their recovery. A joint investigation from STAT and the Boston Globe revealed that one guest, “Survivor: China” winner Todd Herzog arrived to Phil’s show sober, yet seeking assistance for his addiction. He says that when he arrived in his dressing room, he found a liter of vodka, which he ultimately was unable to resist drinking. When he alerted a member of production what had happened, they offered him prescription Xanax to help settle his nerves. He famously appeared on the show drunk off his azz, actually blowing a 0.263, nearly three times the legal driving limit. He claims he ultimately was helped by the program, but an addict shouldn’t have to fight that battle with easy drugs being pushed their way. SMH! Rose McGowan has zero chill, and that’s usually a good thing. We love hearing her tear Harvey Weinstein a new one. Sometimes, however, that admirable passion gets a little misplaced. The result is Rose McGowan slamming Meryl Streep, of all people, basically accusing her of having been complicit in Weinstein’s monstrous deeds . Meryl Streep is speaking out, saying that she’s very hurt by Rose’s words, and endeavoring to make things clear. Rose McGowan was outspoken in accusing Harvey Weinstein of rape — and she’s certainly not alone. Too many actresses have come forward, identifying Weinstein as their harasser or their rapist. Salma Hayek spoke of Weinstein as a “monster,” and says that she wonders if it was only her friendships with other influential members of Hollywood that prevented Weinstein from raping her. Some times, a person escapes from a sexual predator because they have the right friends. Others just get lucky. And others … unlucky. Rose McGowan has spoken loud and clear against Weinstein. Unfortunately, some of her ire was misdirected at her fellow actresses. “Actresses, like Meryl Streep, who happily worked for The Pig Monster, are wearing black @GoldenGlobes in a silent protest.” We would counter that, surely, they did not know. A lot of people have no idea that there’s a monster in their midst. “YOUR SILENCE is THE problem. You’ll accept a fake award breathlessly & affect no real change.” All awards are fake, really. “I despise your hypocrisy. Maybe you should all wear Marchesa.” Marchesa, of course, is the clothing line by Weinstein’s wife. While many feel sorry for the woman who most assume never knew of her husband’s monstrous deeds, Rose McGowan has been less sympathetic. Rose has since deleted the tweet. Meryl Streep addressed Rose McGowan’s criticisms in a lengthy letter, published in The Huffington Post . “It hurt to be attacked by Rose McGowan in banner headlines this weekend, but I want to let her know I did not know about Weinstein’s crimes, not in the ’90s when he attacked her, or through subsequent decades when he proceeded to attack others.” That’s what we figured. “I wasn’t deliberately silent. I didn’t know. I don’t tacitly approve of rape. I didn’t know. I don’t like young women being assaulted. I didn’t know this was happening.” Sexual predators go to great lengths to cover up their crimes. Meryl then goes on to explain how little contact she’s had with Weinstein. “I don’t know where Harvey lives, nor has he ever been to my home.” That’s good for her. “I have never in my life been invited to his hotel room.” For many actors, exchanging scripts and even auditioning in hotel rooms isn’t uncommon. Some wonder if, in light of these uncovered abuses, that should now change. “I have been to his office once, for a meeting with Wes Craven for ‘Mustic of the Heart’ in 1998.” That’s … nearly 20 years ago. “HW distributed movies I made with other people.” “HW was not a filmmaker; he was often a producer, primarily a marketer of films made by other people — some of them great, some not great.” Weinstein did sometimes assume a hand-on role in films, but that makes him a demanding producer, not a filmmaker. “But not every actor, actress, and director who made films that HW distributed knew he abused women, or that he raped Rose in the 90s, other women before and others after, until they told us. We did not know that women’s silence was purchased by him and his enablers.” Sometimes, survivors are shocked to learn that other people didn’t know what happened to them. When something consumes your life, it’s hard to imagine that others could be so blind. “HW needed us not to know this, because our association with him bought him credibility, an ability to lure young, aspiring women into circumstances where they would be hurt.” Yes, predators have a vested interest in appearing innocent and personable. “He needed me much more than I needed him and he made sure I didn’t know. Apparently he hired ex Mossad operators to protect this information from becoming public.” We’ve heard about that. “Rose and the scores of other victims of these powerful, moneyed, ruthless men face an adversary for whom Winning, at any and all costs, is the only acceptable outcome.” Meryl then talks specifically about what people are doing to protect survivors from the wrath of the men who want them silenced. “That’s why a legal defense fund for victims is currently being assembled to which hundreds of good hearted people in our business will contribute, to bring down the bastards, and help victims fight this scourge within.” “Rose assumed and broadcast something untrue about me, and I wanted to let her know the truth.” It’s clear that Meryl is speaking with compassion, here. “Through friends who know her, I got my home phone number to her the minute I read the headlines.” That was a good move to make. “I sat by that phone all day yesterday and this morning, hoping to express both my deep respect for her and others’ bravery in exposing the monsters among us, and my sympathy for the untold, ongoing pain she suffers.” Perhaps Rose McGowan was following Uma Thurman’s advice about waiting until she calms down before speaking up. “No one can bring back what entitled bosses like Bill O’Reilly, Roger Ailes, and HW took from the women who endured attacks on their bodies and their ability to make a living.” Sad but true. “And I hoped that she would give me a hearing. She did not, but I hope she reads this.” Meryl’s statement continues: “I am truly sorry she sees me as an adversary, because we are both, together with all the women in our business, standing in defiance of the same implacable foe: a status quo that wants so badly to return to the bad old days, the old ways where women were used, abused and refused entry into the decision-making, top levels of the industry.” And that, she says, is where the real problem lies. “That’s where the cover-ups convene. Those rooms must be disinfected, and integrated, before anything even begins to change.” Change can be a lengthy process, but it’s better to take your time than to rush and let horrible people slip through the cracks. T hey promised us a shocking death was coming for The Walking Dead Season 8, mid-season finale and they delivered. Episode 8 titled “How It’s Gotta Be” was definitely an hour plus nerve-wracking experience and it didn’t help we knew someone was going to die. There was plenty of action, suspense with a heavy amount of foreshadowing as we waited to find out which beloved character was going to bite the dust. All of the turmoil in the form of Negan and his Saviors that was unleashed upon the Alexandrians and Hilltoppers is a direct result of Daryl not being patient and following Rick’s plan. The Saviors were absolutely pissed that they were trapped in The Sanctuary. But who knew the sacrifice would be so great and the one who would suffer again the most is Rick. While Negan is burning down Alexandria, Rick is racing back to warn them but it’s already too late. His son, Carl is in charge and is trying to get the Alexandrians to safety. Once they leave Carl mans up faces Negan and offers his own life as a sacrifice to give his people time to escape. At first, it just seemed like a ploy but as it played out Carl was really trying to end his life, no seriously he really was. WTF Carl! Carl hops down and is on his own against an army of Saviors led by Negan who are destroying everything on site looking for him. Carl manages to dodge all of the explosions and Negan but his well being remains a mystery. Rick finally arrives back in town frantically searching for his family and finds Negan waiting in his house. They immediately engage in a serious brawl and if we are sure folks thought this might be it for Rick. The fight ends when Negan pushes Rick through a window. So we don’t lose either Rick or Negan at this point. Also, Michonne decided to stick around as well so that also gave fans the impression that damn we might lose our favorite katana wielding bad ass. We just didn’t know who was going to go, but boy did we quickly learn. Michonne and Rick are finally reunited when he finds her chopping up a Savior who made the mistake of trying to kill her. They head back to the sewer and we see a good portion of the Alexandrians have made out alive. Rick is searching for his family and he sees Judith but no Carl. Time to start panicking, he makes it to the end and he sees the lone survivor he scared off in the sewer. Then Carl speaks out and says he brought him to Alexandria. Whew, Carl is alive well sort of, as we get a closer look at Carl he is very pale and we all know what the look means. Carl has a bite, but did it happen while he was trying to escape The Saviors or did he suffer the bit when he was “releasing walkers”? It was a sad moment and the internet quickly reacted to sad moment. He’s been described by some outlets as a “reclusive” individual who lives a quiet life in Mexico. But The Daily Mirror tracked him down in Rosarito Beach (where he was purchasing a four-pack of beer and cigarettes, the newspaper notes) and asked if he’ll be at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle to give away his daughter. Thomas “beamed,” the publication writes, told the reporter: “Yes. I’d love to.” Markle and Harry have confirmed the aforementioned wedding location, along with their plans to exchange vows in May of next year. (Many insiders, meanwhile, think Markle will then announce her pregnancy by next Christmas. But that’s pure speculation at the moment.) “I’m very pleased,” the 73-year-old dad added. “I’m delighted.” Markle’s parents have been indirectly in the news a bit because Thomas is white, while Doria is African-American. Because people often suck, there’s been debate over Markle’s heritage and some unfortunate harassment she’s suffered as a result. As for plans more immediate than her nuptials, a source explains to Us Weekly how Meghan will celebrate her first Christmas season as the fiancee of a Royal. After celebrating Christmas Eve at Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham House Harry and his bride-to-be will join Prince William and Kate Middleton at their nearby Anmer Hall home in Norfolk, England. “They’ll be William and Kate’s guests and travel back and forth with them,” the insider says. Doesn’t sound too shabby at all, does it? On December 25 itself, the quartet will be served a traditional English breakfast… attend a mandatory 11 a.m. service at St. Mary Magdalene Church… and then chow down on a a lunch featuring two roast turkeys. Your totes enlightened friend who curates her ex’s Tinder profile might disagree, but we all know that there’s a winner and a loser in every breakup. Sometimes, it’s not immediately clear who came out on top. Other times it’s a blow-out victory, such as in the case of Scheana Marie and Mike Shay. If you’re a Vanderpump Rules fan, then you’re likely aware that Scheana and Shay’s divorce was an ugly one, and Scheana emerged from the wreckage looking like a courageous survivor … … while Mike came off as more of an uncaring, unemployed, drug-addicted adulterer. It wasn’t a great look. Anyway, Scheana continued her victory tour by being the first to move on from the marriage with a guy who not only has a job, but appears to not have any serious drug addictions, thus making him considerably less likely to drain her bank account. Scheana began dating Robert Valletta almost immediately after parting ways with Shay. She revealed on the Vanderpump Rules Season 6 premiere that she and Valletta have been “friends with benefits” on and off for seven years. (She also revealed that Valletta is considerably more blessed in the dong department, which probably wasn’t Shay’s favorite moment of the episode.) But like the Atlanta Falcons in the second half of Super Bowl LI, Scheana appears to have taken her considerable lead for granted. We’re not saying Mike will ever be victorious–dude’s like 30 and still trying to make it as a rapper–but he’s been making major gains lately. For a long time now, Corey Feldman has wanted to name names of Hollywood's sexual predators. He's been outspoken about his own abuse, but has been reluctant to name the men who preyed upon him when he was a minor for a lot of understandable reasons. Well, now he's naming names. Both were child actors — Corey Feldman, of course, was one of the stars of the classic children's film, The Goonies . Like so many survivors of child sex abuse, both Coreys struggled as adults with what they had experienced and the enduring trauma. Though Corey Haim ultimately died of natural causes , he reportedly had low levels of eight different drugs in his system. Many believed that it was drug use that contributed to Haim's vulnerability to the illness that claimed his life. It's not uncommon for survivors of childhood traumas to self-medicate as adults or even while they're still minors in order to cope with trauma. In the eyes of many fans, it was sex abuse that claimed Corey Haim's life. Corey Feldman has written about his experiences, about child sex abuse rings that he believes pervade Hollywood. But he's always been advised by lawyers and editors to not name names, because doing so could expose him to a lawsuit. Now, in the wake of multiple accusations of rape against Harvey Weinstein , more and more alleged sexual predators are being exposed in Hollywood. Sexual harassment and sexual assault are, sadly, problems everywhere. From religious institutions to the military to businesses to schools to homes to … everywhere. But, fortunately, more people are waking up to the realization that this is real and it has to change. Directors and actors have been names. And now Kevin Spacey has been accused of molesting a 14-year-old , bringing a new voice to rumors that have followed him for decades. Is there finally enough momentum within Hollywood and public opinion for Corey Feldman to name his alleged abusers without fear or reprisal? Corey Feldman's bold new step, in naming this man, seems to be partially because of Dr. Oz. We cannot believe that the TV personality often characterized as a snake oil salesman who panders to gullible audiences with junk science and misleading factoids is using his platform for good. 2017 is wild . Grissom starred with Corey Feldman and Corey Haim in two different films. People believe that Jon Grissom is the “Ron Crimson” described in Corey's book. If so, that would mean that Grissom was hired in his 20s by Corey Feldman's father Dr. Oz has revealed that Jon Grissom ended up serving time in prison for child molestation back in 2003, and that Grissom has not registered as a sex offender since then and is therefore a fugitive from justice. Which is probably why Corey Feldman felt comfortable going on Dr. Oz to issue this accusation. Corey Feldman has previously named his former manager, Marty Weiss, without using a pseudonym. In 2012, Marty Weiss was sentenced for committing lewd acts on a child under the age of 14. Again, that made him a safer person to name. Anyone who has not been caught, however, could potentially sue Corey Feldman in order to silence him. Wealth and power can earn you a lot.

Image via Getty McKayla Maroney Accuses Dr. Larry Nassar Of Sexually Abusing Her The sweaty, slimy and sexually abusive Harvey Weinstein scandal has set off a wave of women coming forward to share their harrowing experiences on social media via the hashtag #MeToo. “Me Too” began as a creation of Tarana Burke back in 2007 in an effort to support sexual abuse survivors. McKayla Maroney rose to fame in the 2012 London Olympics when she won both gold and silver medals. She also became virally popular when memes of her now-infamous “not impressed” face became everybody’s favorite thing online. Early this morning, McKayla revealed that while she was winning medals and enjoying celebrity, she was suppressing a dark secret.
