Tragic news today for Usher and his estranged ex-wife, Tameka Foster: Kyle Glover , Tameka’s 11-year old son from a previous relationship, has been taken off life support and has passed away two weeks after suffering irreversible brain damage in a jet skiing accident. The fatal injury occurred on Lake Lanier in Atlanta on July 8, as Kyle was riding on an inner tube when he was struck by a passer-by in a jet ski. That individual is named Jeffrey S. Hubbard and is in under investigation for his actions. Doctors quickly determined that Kyle was medically brain dead and he had been on life support in the hospital until this morning. The tragedy took place while Usher and Foster were engaged in a contentious custody fight for the two kids they share. Usher Looking To Settle Child Custody Case With Ex-Wife Tameka Raymond It seems that the tragic accident involving Tameka Raymond’s son Kile has helped bring a softer side out of her ex-husband Usher : According to TMZ reports : Usher has changed his tune and now wants to up his ante to settle his epic child support/custody war with Tameka Raymond after the jet ski accident that left his stepson Kyle brain dead … TMZ has learned. Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ … Usher spoke with Tameka over the weekend and suggested that they settle up, but he did not significantly change his offer — 50/50 custody with a very slight increase in child support. Tameka said no way. But apparently Usher softened after the conversation, because our sources say he met with his lawyers earlier this week and instructed them to craft a new proposal that would give Tameka “a majority” of custody, though the sources did not specify the exact breakdown. We’re told Usher is also raising his child support offer “significantly.” As for Usher’s motivation … we’re told he’s very conscious that Tameka is suffering and it’s not a good move to continue the fight under the circumstances. We’re told the offer has not been presented to Tameka yet, but our sources say she’s open to a “reasonable settlement.” Calls to lawyers on both sides have not been returned. Kile was Tameka and Ryan Glover’s child and the sympathy should be given to them first and foremost,” Tameka’s associate told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. “Although Usher has been so kind in chartering a plane so she could be by Kile’s side, he didn’t necessarily play a huge role in Tameka’s other children’s lives after the divorce therefore it seems a little disrespectful that Ryan is being ignored as a father, in place of another just because he’s topping the Billboard charts. “Ryan was equally devoted and involved in Kile’s life — they shared joint custody and Kile was with his other family at the lake, so for those who are claiming Tameka’s at fault for not being there is just absurd — because of the joint custody, her two boys aren’t always directly in her eyesight, but she is a phenomenal mother.” Tameka’s irritated friend goes on to say: “Tameka is heartbroken. Already squaring off against ex-wife Tameka Foster in court, Usher appears to be facing a new problem with a new woman. The artist has obtained a temporary restraining order against Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw , claiming she’s living in a dream world where Usher is her husband. In court documents, Usher alleges that Darshelle appeared at his home in Georgia, pounding on the front door until police were called to the property. She then left the area, only to return the next day and tell cops that she was married to Usher and simply misplaced her keys. At this time, Darshelle was arrested.
