Taylor Lautner on Breaking Dawn: Time to Man Up!

Sure, Edward Cullen gets married in Breaking Dawn . And Bella Swan gives birth . But Taylor Lautner says this installment of the Twilight Saga highlights an especially interesting journey for his character of Jacob Black, telling our friends at Movie Fanatic that it was the most “challenging” film of the franchise to shoot. “Jacob becomes a man in this one and he has to make a lot decisions,” Lautner told Joel Amos. “He’s being torn between his two families. It was really tough.” Breaking Dawn TV Spot: Team Jacob! Lautner gives credit to director Bill Condon for helping him navigate the often-shirtless waters. “I trusted him completely, and it was really special,” the actor says of his bond with Condon. “And now seeing the movie, I’m really happy Jacob starts here and he ends here, and it’s just very exciting to see him in a completely different light than ever before.” Visit Movie Fanatic now and read a lot more from Lautner .

Kristen Stewart Squirms Reliving First MTV Interview

‘I just can’t handle that,’ ‘Twilight’ actress says, jumping out of her chair during ‘MTV First: Breaking Dawn.’ By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart at MTV First: “Breaking Dawn” Photo: MTV News Our “MTV First: Breaking Dawn” was full of so many fun moments between “Twilight Saga” stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner that we would be remiss if we didn’t go back to highlight a few of the best. One of the most surprising and entertaining moments occurred when we informed Stewart that we brought a clip of her first-ever interview with MTV. Her reaction was immediate: “No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I actually can’t do this!” she said when we told her we were ready to roll the clip. “Ah! I don’t think you understand what that does to me. Uh. It’s happening,” she said, half-covering her face as the clip rolled. In the clip, from MTV’s first interview with Stewart and Pattinson on the set of the first “Twilight” movie, we ask Stewart what impressed her about working with Pattinson thus far. “I think he’s really handsome,” she jokes, sending Pattinson into a fit of laughter. “No, no. He can’t lie,” she admits, taking the question seriously. “He’s incapable of lying, so it’s pretty clear when we need to work on the scene.” Pattinson cuts in, joking that Stewart doesn’t think he can act: “What she means [by ‘lying’] is ‘acting.’ ” Stewart counters: “Nope. That’s so not what I mean. He’s just copping out,” she adds, and then the clip fades to black, and we see Stewart up out of her interview chair, half-pacing in front of Pattinson and Lautner. “I just can’t handle that,” Stewart attempted to explain of her discomfort watching herself onscreen. “As far as I’m concerned, this doesn’t exist,” she said, indicating that she was trying to block out the fact that we were taping an interview at that very moment. When asked what it was about the interview that had her so unsettled, Stewart said that it was just a “very different” time. “We’ve had a lot of development,” she said about her growing interactions with MTV News. “Our relationships have really progressed, I feel.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Robert Pattinson Calls Taylor Lautner Ab Comparison ‘Unfair’

‘I realized [my abs] weren’t as good as Taylor’s, so I just ate every bit of chocolate,’ Pattinson laughs during ‘MTV First.’ By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner’s abs Photo: Summit Much ado is made over the handsomeness of the leading men of “Twilight” — Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner — particularly when it comes to the subject of their being shirtless in any way, shape or form. Their fervent fans know from reading Stephenie Meyer’s books and seeing the first two trailers that there is plenty of shirtlessness in store for them when “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1” opens November 18. MTV News was lucky enough to sit down with the two heartthrobs during “MTV First: Breaking Dawn” on Thursday, during which we asked a fan-submitted question about how they prep for their shirtless scenes. “No M&M’s,” said Kristen Stewart, who was seated between her co-stars. “Yeah, I didn’t eat any candy and I didn’t drink any beer for a while,” Pattinson said of his health-conscious prep. “I went kind of nuts. Me and Kristen went nuts working out, because we hadn’t worked out for any of [the previous films],” he admitted. Then, upon noticing that his shirtless photo was being held up next to Lautner’s, RPattz took offense in the comparison. “This is so unfair doing a comparison. Everyone says I painted on my abs in [‘New Moon’] — I did not! Taylor has his painted on too!” he accused with a laugh. “What?” Lautner responded. “What are you talking about? I don’t understand this.” Pattinson stopped his playful ribbing of Lautner for a moment to finish answering the question about his diet before shirtless scenes are filmed. “I had it for, like, two weeks,” he said of his abs, with Stewart agreeing and adding that they gave up being healthy immediately after their skin-showing scenes were wrapped. “As soon as I didn’t have to be shirtless anymore [my good habits were] gone immediately,” Pattinson continued. “During [filming in] Brazil, the day before I had to do my shirtless scene, I realized [my abs] weren’t as good as Taylor’s, so I just ate every bit of chocolate in the mini-bar. I started eating cheeseburgers and stuff.” Stick with MTV News for much more from our exclusive Q&A with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner! ‘Breaking Dawn’ Exclusive Clip: Bella’s Wedding Day

Sneak peek premieres during ‘MTV First’ with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. By Kara Warner Kristen Stewart in “Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment For all the “Twilight” fans out there — and, more specifically, the prone-to-swoon hopeless romantics — one of the most anticipated moments in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” is the wedding of Bella Swan ( Kristen Stewart ) and Edward Cullen ( Robert Pattinson ). Fans have been buzzing about it for as long as we can remember, and on Thursday (November 3) — thanks to our exclusive “MTV First: Breaking Dawn” with Stewart, Pattinson and Taylor Lautner — we got another sneak peek at how sweet, emotional and beautiful those nuptials are going to be when we finally see them on the big screen, when the film opens November 18. Our clip opens with Bella’s mother Renee (Sarah Clarke) entering the room in which Alice (Ashley Greene) and Rosalie (Nikki Reed) are helping Bella get ready for her wedding day. “Oh my gosh, you’re so beautiful,” Mom says when she sees Bella, who is still in casual clothes but has her hair and makeup finished. “Oh, honey — crap, my mascara!” Renee exclaims, at which point Alice hands her a tissue. “Thanks,” she says, dabbing at her eyes. “Charlie, get in here!” she calls to Bella’s father (played by Billy Burke). Charlie pops his head into the frame tentatively. “You sure?” he asks, then walks slowly into the room, at which point Bella — seeing her dad all dolled up in a tuxedo — is so surprised she stands up out of her chair. “I know,” he says, seeing her reaction. “I look hot.” “We thought you needed something blue,” Renee says to Bella as Charlie opens a jewelry case to reveal a jewel-encrusted decorative hair comb. “And something old,” Charlie adds. “Besides your mother,” he jokes. “Thanks,” Renee scoffs. “It was Grandma Swan’s,” Charlie tells Bella. “But we added the sapphires,” Renee adds as Bella picks up the comb for a closer look. “It’s beautiful, you guys,” Bella says, handing the comb to Alice to put in her hair. “Wow. Thank you so much.” “It’s your first family heirloom,” Renee says. “You can pass it on to your daughter and her daughter,” she adds, tearing up and dabbing her eyes, and the scene fades to black. ‘X Factor’ Drops Tween Supergroup InTENsity

Another of Paula Abdul’s groups, Stereo Hogzz, joins 10-person collective in the bottom two. By Adam Graham Paula Abdul on “X Factor” Photo: FOX It was a tough night for Paula Abdul’s team on Thursday’s (November 3) results episode of “The X Factor,” as two of her groups — Stereo Hogzz and InTENsity — were forced to sing for their lives after earning the lowest number of votes following Wednesday’s performance episode. In the end, InTENsity was shown the “X Factor” door, leaving Stereo Hogzz to fight another day in the competition. Unlike “American Idol,” results on “The X Factor” are not based strictly on viewer votes. The two competitors with the lowest vote totals are asked to sing one final song, with the judges ultimately deciding who goes home. In their big showdown, Houston fivesome Stereo Hogzz tackled Samantha Sang’s 1977 hit “Emotion,” which was later popularized by Destiny’s Child, while InTENsity — the group cobbled together by the judges from 10 eliminated individual singers — took on Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You.” InTENsity was voted off by a 3-1 vote, with Simon Cowell the lone vote for InTENsity to stay. His vote against Stereo Hoggz came just 24 hours after he said of their performance, “I don’t think there’s a band in the world right now who are as good as you.” InTENsity’s Wednesday mash-up of “Kids in America” and “Party Rock Anthem” earned them high marks from the judges, with L.A. Reid calling the performance “fun, fun, fun” and Nicole Scherzinger dubbing it, “fun-tastic” and “fun-nomenal.” Cowell called the performance terrific while Abdul pledged that she was proud of her group. As Thursday’s show rushed toward its finish, no one from InTENsity commented on the group’s ouster, with host Steve Jones describing them as “inconsolable” while he threw to the season premiere of “Bones.” Had the judges landed on a 2-2 tie, the act with the lowest number of viewer votes would have been kicked off the show. Thursday also featured a performance from Outasight, who performed his single “Tonight is the Night,” while the top 12 opened the show with a group take on David Guetta’s “Without You.” What did you think of Thursday’s “X Factor” results show? ‘Breaking Dawn’ Sex Scene ‘Super Serious,’ Robert Pattinson Jokes

‘It’s not just human sex. It’s … obviously blown a little bit out of proportion,’ Kristen Stewart adds on ‘MTV First.’ By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner Photo: MTV News Of all the moments fans are eagerly awaiting to see after “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” hits theaters on November 18 — the wedding and infamous birth scene included — few can measure up to the hype surrounding Edward and Bella’s first sex scene. When MTV News’ Josh Horowitz sat down with Kristen Stewart , Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner for “MTV First” and asked the cast questions submitted via Twitter, it was no surprise that the fans wanted to know more. One of the first questions asked was: “Rob and Kristen, was it extremely awkward filming the love scene in the movie? Were you guys laughing a lot throughout?” Both Stewart and Pattinson turned quiet after hearing the question, and the answer was unanimous and definitely a joke. “Super serious,” Pattinson said. “Yeah, me too,” Stewart agreed. The mood was certainly lighthearted and jokey, but Stewart ended up giving the question a serious answer. “Not to give anything away … You’ve been working for so long, and it’s also not real,” Stewart said. “It’s not just human sex. It’s … obviously blown a little bit out of proportion, slightly. It’s kind of like the most important scene in the movie. It’s so weird.” Pattinson agreed and shared his own, let’s say, intimate experiences filming the love scene. “I just ended up thinking purely about vanity things,” Pattinson said. “You’re sitting there in a little g-string. … They give me a big g-string, but it was too small for me. It was like old ham.” Not to be left out, Lautner shared his relief to have missed out on a g-stringing in “Breaking Dawn,” but reminded everyone that he had his “fair share of g-strings in ‘Eclipse.’ ” Stick with MTV News for much more from our exclusive Q&A with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner! Jadakiss Supports Irv Gotti For Def Jam President

‘He said a lot of stuff that doesn’t get said,’ Jada tells MTV News of Irv’s ‘RapFix Live’ appearance last month. By Alvin Blanco Jadakiss Photo: Alberto E. Rodriguez/ Getty Images Irv Gotti has another endorsement in his quasi-campaign to become president of Def Jam: Jadakiss thinks the producer and executive would be a good fit at the storied record label. The Yonkers rapper “loved” Gotti’s early October appearance on MTV News’ “RapFix Live,” when he insisted he was the “best man” for Def Jam’s currently vacant presidency. “It was one of the best ‘RapFix’ [interviews] ever,” Jada told MTV News. “He said a lot of stuff that doesn’t get said. He was able to [vent] without hating on the record labels or channeling any hate. … Everything he said — me being on the inside looking out and him being on the inside looking out but now on the outside looking in — I think he nailed every point. I think everything he said was excellent, and almost everything was true.” ‘Kiss is signed to Def Jam — releasing his latest album, The Last Kiss, in 2009, as well as the retail mixtape I Love You (A Dedication to My Fans) in May 2011 — on the label. The “We Gonna Make It” rapper hasn’t spoken to anyone at the label about his support for the Murder Inc. founder, but he did mention agreeing with Irv’s point that suits at any record label need to better relate to artists in order to earn their trust when it comes to making career decisions. “Def Jam and every other label, it ain’t that they’re bad record labels; it’s just sometimes they don’t understand the artists that they have,” Jada explained. “It’s hard for somebody … when you not coming where I’m from every day. … You live a whole totally different life than me, but you telling me this ain’t the record. That ain’t really what’s up, and that sometimes happens. It doesn’t always happen, but sometimes that’s what happens, and that be the conflict of interest.” When it comes to label drama, ‘Kiss has had more than his fair share. Upon entering the rap game as a member of the LOX, with Styles P and Sheek Louch, the group was signed to Bad Boy Records. But after discontent, the trio managed to leave Bad Boy and sign to Ruff Ryders via Interscope Records in 1999. ‘Kiss would release a pair of solo albums (2001’s Kiss the Game Goodbye, 2004’s Kiss of Death ) on Interscope before Jay-Z, then Def Jam’s president , inked him to Roc-A-Fella in 2007. That said, he’s learned a thing or two about navigating record-business politics. “I have a problem sometimes, but I’m always able to work it out, ’cause I understand that it’s a business first,” ‘Kiss said of any creative friction that may arise between him and Def Jam. “That word ‘business’ is very strong. You can’t take that personal. You can’t let that intertwine with your feelings, and you gotta just come to some agreeance. There’s always a way to work it out without running to the Internet or badmouthing the employees or something. For the most part, they show me love, so I just show the same love and respect back. Even if I disagree with something, if I bring it to them and we’re not able to work it out, I just try to work it out myself, opposed to flipping — unless it’s something that pissed me off to the point of no return,” he laughed. Are you surprised by Jada’s support of Irv Gotti for Def Jam president? Let us know in the comments!
