‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ Teaser Trailer: Experts And Fans React

Ten-second clip left fans wanting to see more of Bella in her new vampire body. By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” Photo: Summit Entertainment Who else set their alarms for an early wake-up in order to see the brand-new “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” teaser trailer this morning? We got a full 10 seconds of teaser and are very pleased to have seen a brief glimpse of Bella in action as a super speedy vampire, as well as quick cuts to our favorite leading men, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, looking all happy and handsome. We’re hoping for a lot more of that in the full-length trailer , among other things. But enough about us, what did our trusted “Twilight” experts have to say about the early-morning sneak peek? “All of the Team Edward and Team Jacob fans should be happy, but ‘Breaking Dawn’ is really all about Team Bella,” said Kallie Mathews of TwilightSeriesTheories.com. “Consider me ‘teased’!” Twilight Lexicon’s Laura Byrne-Cristiano also appreciated the very short seconds of tease but, like most of us, was left wanting more. “Ten seconds wasn’t really enough to capture anything. We did see Bella running through the trees, but we couldn’t see her face in that brief snippet,” she said. “So, we got only a little of the Bella with vampire powers that I was hoping for. It was nice to see a reaction of Jacob and Edward to Bella, but I really would have been more satisfied if Bella herself (in particular her facial expressions) was more in the shot. I’m hoping we actually get to see her and not just her point of view in the full teaser.” Seeing vampire Bella has all us fans excited, but of course there are those who will never get enough of Edward Cullen. When we asked fans to tweet us their reactions to the teaser, we received a lot of love for Pattinson’s beloved character as well as requests for more vampire Bella. @bellalorenza_ and @sherriatl want more of RPattz, whereas @catprodd requested the trailer “bring on the new vamps” that make their debut in part 2. @theLynsJ is all about the new vampy Mrs. Cullen. “Bella running through the woods,” she tweeted about her favorite part of the teaser. “I can’t wait to see her do vampire-y things!” What are you hoping to see in the full-length trailer for “Breaking Dawn – Part 2”? Jimmy Kimmel’s Star-Studded Movie: The Movie Spoof Is Depressingly Accurate

Late night host Jimmy Kimmel’s tradition of filming a post- Oscar movie-related spoof continued Sunday night with a “trailer” for Movie: The Movie , the ultimate star-studded epic to end all epics. In addition to featuring a host of stars, from Taylor Lautner to Helen Mirren to Tyler Perry (er, “Daniel Day-Lewis as Tyler Perry as George Washington”), the Kimmel-produced gag covered just about every genre and trope known to the movies. I give it a few years before some suit turns this into a reality. Among the stars in Kimmel’s ensemble: Ryan Phillippe, Jessica Biel, Ed Norton, Josh Brolin, Antonio Banderas, Tom Hanks, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Tyler Perry, Meryl Streep, Jason Bateman, Matt Damon, and Colin Farrell. Okay, who am I kidding: I’d totally watch a K-9 buddy cop action sports movie starring Farrell as a SWAT officer partnered with a bomb-kicking Air Bud. Go ahead and make that happen, Hollywood. ‘Twilight’ Star Ashley Greene: Three Birthday Wishes

In the final year of the franchise that made her famous, ‘Twilight’ Tuesday shares three wishes for the birthday girl. By Kara Warner Ashley Greene Photo: Lester Cohen/ WireImage In honor of “Twilight” star Ashley Greene’s 25th birthday, this week’s “Twilight” Tuesday is three birthday wishes for the actress: 2012 Box-Office Success “Twilight” fans will make sure the fifth and final film in the franchise, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” will be a success, so we’re not worried about that one. Looking ahead to Greene’s upcoming slate of non-“Twilight” films, we’re excited to see her “saucy” side in teen comedy “LOL,” in which she stars alongside Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore. We’re also intrigued to see how much she’ll scare us (or be scared) in “Apparition,” which opens in August. More Leading Roles Although plenty of attention is paid to “Twilight” superstars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, Greene has always stood out for us in the way she plays Alice Cullen with such sweetness and sincerity — not to mention her mental and physical toughness. We’d like to see Greene carry a film on her own, specifically a romantic comedy or romantic drama. We’re thinking something along the lines of Rose Byrne’s character in “Bridesmaids” or a Rachel McAdams-esque romantic drama. Stay a Role Model In a world that seems to celebrate the comings and goings of starlets based on their outrageous antics onscreen and off, Greene has handled her rise in fame with poise and class. We appreciate the fact that she has made exquisite and enviable choices when it comes to her red-carpet fashions, which won her a Style Icon Award at the Hollywood Life Young Hollywood Awards. And with respect to making headlines, Greene managed to keep her relationship with former flame Joe Jonas mostly under wraps and free from any tabloid scandal. She did have one nude-photo scandal early on, but the woman recovered gracefully and appears to have a solid head on her shoulders — and we hope she stays that way. “I went from dying to get a gig, to dying to get the gig everyone wants,” Greene has said of her rise to fame via her role in “Twilight.” “So now I’m in this realm with a lot of highly respected actresses, which is an amazing place to be, but also kind of terrifying. … I’m so laser-focused on my career, because when you’re dealt these cards, if you don’t kind of run with it, then you’re an idiot. You gotta take advantage of what you’ve been given.” What birthday wishes do you have for Ashley Greene? Let us know in the comments or tweet me @karawarner! Taylor Lautner’s Post-‘Twilight’ Career: What’s Next?

Now that ‘Stretch Armstrong’ is off Lautner’s schedule, ‘Twilight’ Tuesday takes a closer look at the young actor’s future. By Kara Warner Taylor Lautner Photo: Jeff Kravitz/Film Magic Now that we’ve had a day or so to digest the news that “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner will not be gracing the big screen as super bendy, slightly superheroic Stretch Armstrong , it’s time to turn the focus of this week’s “Twilight” Tuesday toward analyzing this latest development in Lautner’s post-Jacob career. Word on the street is that Lautner dropped out of the film due to scheduling conflicts, but exactly what conflicts he may or may not have are the mystery. Last we heard, the teen heartthrob was in talks with Oscar winner Gus Van Sant to make a small-budget film based on a nonfiction article from The New Yorker. A quieter role in a more indie film could be just what Lautner needs post-“Twilight.” “He’s got the right determination and ambition to continue on, even through bumps in the road,” IMDb Managing Editor Keith Simanton told MTV News of Lautner’s staying power. “Someone he reminds me a little bit of is Hayden Christenson. People make fun of him and have never seen his performance in ‘Shattered Glass,’ and he’s also very good in ‘Life as a House.’ Because the only thing people know him from are big movies, the franchises that are in some ways an albatross in the way of a career.” Boxoffice.com ‘s Phil Contrino suggested that Lautner focus on more grown-up projects with big-name, respected directors. “He can, and most likely will, rebound. The key to his success will be picking the right directors to work with,” Contrino said. “He needs to stay away from teen-skewing flicks and go for adult, like Robert Pattinson is doing by working with David Cronenberg .” Lautner reportedly dropped out of the superhero film “Max Steel” and extreme-flying flick “Northern Lights” to make room for “Stretch,” which means he has plenty of time from now until next November to do a film before the promo machine kicks back into gear for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” And then there’s the adaptation of the popular YA novel “Incarceron,” which Lautner was circling in its development stages the last time we checked in with him. What should Taylor Lautner do next? Tweet @karawarner to sound off on this week’s “Twilight” Tuesday! Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber Share A Dating ‘Philosophy’

‘If you’re in love, you’re in love to the fullest,’ singer/actress tells Cosmopolitan. By Jocelyn Vena Photo: Cosmopolitan Selena Gomez turns the big 2-0 later this year, and she seems to be leaving her tween image behind. The 19-year-old is the latest teen star to appear on the cover of Cosmopolitan, following last month’s issue of the women’s magazine, featuring 17-year-old Dakota Fanning. For her first cover for the magazine, Gomez dons a low-cut, floral-print dress as she looks rather seductively into the camera. She’s sitting with her one leg perched in front of her body, displaying a saucier side of herself than fans might be used to seeing. Inside the issue, she’s talking all about love, opening up about her longtime boyfriend, Justin Bieber. “I’m just like every 19-year-old girl,” she said. “If you’re in love, you’re in love to the fullest, and you just want to go to the movies, hang out, and be as normal as possible. I’m fortunate that I’ve found someone who has that philosophy.” In another Cosmo quote floating around online, Gomez dishes on a past boyfriend (Taylor Lautner? Nick Jonas?) who didn’t make things as easy on her. “I was in a relationship previously where I had to hide everything and it wasn’t my choice. I had to go through different exits and take separate cars and do the craziest things, and it just really wasn’t worth it,” she explained. “It was like a year of my life completely wasted.” The more mature magazine cover comes as Gomez prepares for the next phase of her career . In the coming weeks, she’ll hit the set for her next film, the more adult-themed “Spring Breakers,” which follows a group of college girls who rob a restaurant to pay for their spring break. When they land in jail, a drug and arms dealer bails them out, and they quickly become entangled with him and his business. “It’s a different character than I have ever played before,” she told MTV News about the film, which will be directed by “Kids” mastermind Harmony Korine. “It’s a different kind of vibe I think than people are used to seeing me in. What you’re going to see is more raw, I think. It’s going to be raw and more about acting.” What do you think about Selena’s grown-up image? Let us know in the comments! Taylor Lautner and Sara Hicks: Back Together?

Might Taylor Lautner and Sara Hicks be back together? The Twilight Saga and Abduction star took his 19-year old ex-girlfriend to a performance of OVO by Cirque du Soleil in Santa Monica last night. The pair, who dated in high school, were photographed coming out of the event, while an insider tells Us Weekly they “have been hanging out a lot in L.A., seeing a few shows and going to dinner.” Hicks is now a Los Angeles Clippers cheerleader. Lauter, who has been linked in the past to both Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, split with Lily Collins in September.

Big Boi, Killer Mike, Pill Collabo Album In The Works

‘Them two are rap greats and for them two to actually want to do a project with me, it’s unbelievable,’ Pill tells ‘RapFix Live.’ By Rob Markman Big Boi Photo: Jay West/ WireImage Pill ‘s situation with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group may not have worked out, but the Atlanta spitter has his eyes set on a collaborative project with Killer Mike and OutKast’s Big Boi . “We working, we thinking about dropping a tape, honestly ’cause me and Big and all us we done did records already,” Pill told “RapFix Live.” “We thinking about droppin’ a tape and then droppin’ an album.” In February 2011, Killer Mike revealed that he, Big Boi and Pill were forming a group, which is still unnamed . There isn’t much in the way of details, but Pill insists that the trio is putting something together. “We already workin’, we getting’ it in. It’s a full-time grind,” he said. “Them two are rap greats and for them two to actually want to do a project with me, it’s unbelievable.” The “Trap Goin’ Ham” rapper made headlines earlier this week when he revealed to MTV News that despite his close affiliation with Rozay’s MMG label and appearing on his Self Made compilation, Pill was never technically signed to Maybach. The MC, who charges that MMG’s parent label, Warner Music Group (to which he is currently signed), never gave him a fair push on radio or TV. He is now looking to be released from Warner. Still, Pill is far from being in the dumps. In the coming weeks, Pillionaire plans to drop his solo mixtape The Epidemic and then, of course, is the project with Killer Mike and Big Boi, which he is excited about. While Pill does acknowledge Mike’s and Big’s respective greatness, he makes it clear that he is no slouch on the mic. “For other people to try to think that I’m not lyrical enough or I’m not as good a rapper — you got guys that everybody looks up to as rappers doin’ a project with me,” he said. “So you know I’m just ready for that sh– to actually take off so we can show people what hip-hop look like in the flesh.” Are you looking forward to Pill’s group album with Big Boi and Killer Mike? Rihanna Leads 2012 Crossovers Into New Territory

‘Battleship’ takes pop star from Billboard to big screen, while Taylor Swift and Brooklyn Decker forge ahead in new career paths. By Kara Warner Taylor Kitsch and Rihanna in “Battleship” Photo: Universal Pictures During this optimistic first week of the new year, it’s time to think about our favorite entertainers who are poised to make a big impact outside their typical areas of expertise. We’re talkin’ crossovers, of course, including multitalented musicians-turned-actors, actors-turned-musicians, models-turned-actors, actors-turned-authors, wrestlers-turned-actors and other hyphenates! Here’s a look at a few of the stars who are making moves in new directions this year: Rihanna We’ve glimpsed her acting chops during performances and dramatic videos, but this year, RiRi is making the big move from music to movies with a role in the expected summer blockbuster “Battleship,” due May 18. Not much has been revealed about her character yet, but we did get a brief look at her in action as a strong, capable Marine in the trailer . We also see her wielding a rather large gun alongside co-star Taylor Kitsch. Brooklyn Decker Speaking of attractive “Battleship” stars, swimsuit model-turned-actress Brooklyn Decker continues to carve out a new niche in her career. The blond beauty made a splash in last year’s “Just Go With It,” alongside Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, and will next be seen in the ensemble romantic comedy “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” in which Decker plays Dennis Quaid’s much younger wife. “Expecting” opens one week ahead of “Battleship,” in which she plays Liam Neeson’s daughter and Kitsch’s girlfriend. Chris Brown Although he’s still devoting the majority of his time to music, Chris Brown is broadening his horizons with forays into directing and acting. First up is Wale’s clip for “Slight Work,” which Brown co-directed with Godfrey Tabarez. He told MTV News recently that the gig didn’t even feel like work. “This video is just fun,” he said. “I mean, we’re young, so it’s only right to just do what we wanna do.” Brown will also continue to pursue acting jobs in 2012, the first of which is “Planet B Boy,” likely followed by a role in “Think Like a Man,” based on the Steve Harvey book. Taylor Swift Taylor Swift has already has crossover success musically, when she went from a country singer to a mainstream sensation. This year, after her big-screen debut in 2011’s star-stuffed “Valentine’s Day” opposite then-boyfriend Taylor Lautner, it seems likely that Swift will once again be up on the big screen. Rumor has it the 22-year-old has been offered a role in the equally star-studded movie musical “Les Mis
