You may want to take cover, Taylor Swift. Kendall Jenner just hurled some major shade in your direction. Several weeks after Kim Kardashian went hard after Swift, exposing the singer as a pretty huge liar, the reality star’s half-sister has swooped in and taken a somewhat less direct swipe at the famous solo artist. But let’s not kid ourselves: It’s a swipe nonetheless. In a cover story for the October issue of Allure, Jenner is asked if her group of friends has a name. This is clearly a question inspired by Swift and her “Squad” because no one had ever thought of naming one’s group of friends before Taylor came along. That’s not an insult in and of itself. It’s just the truth. So, how did Kendall respond to this question? As follows: “This is going to sound really, really lame, but we all call ourselves the Super Natural Friend Group because we all have such cool individual lives and we’ve been dreaming about them since we were so young.” Jenner is talking about a clique comprised of such other stars as Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Cara Delevingne. Swift, of course, has become famous for walking the red carpet with her circle of friends, along with posing on Instagram with them and talking about them incessantly. They include such famous names as Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham and Karlie Kloss. But what started as a fairly harmless and cute gathering of close pals has devolved into a source of mockery. Jenner refers to her friends as “Natural” in the above quote because some believe Swift’s group is anything but; it can come across as contrived and PR-driven. Swift has been accused of acting like a diva and controlling everyone’s plans and lives; which, again, relates to Jenner’s commentary on how she and her friends are all about the “individual.” Kendall is selling herself here as the anti-Taylor Swift, as someone who is on equal footing with her other, very successful cohorts. This is supposedly in contrast with Swift, someone who she thinks stands on a soapbox over her so-called friends and bosses them around. Are we reading too much into a seemingly simple answer from Kendall Jenner? No. We are not. Because there’s no way they actually call themselves the Super Natural Friend Group. When describing the kind of friend she is, Jenner mentioned her astrological symbol and told Allure: “I’m a Scorpio, so I stick to people. If I love you, I love you. If I don’t like you, you’re screwed.” Taylor Swift disses aside, here’s what we really want to know: Is Kendall dating A$AP Rocky?!? Also unlike Swift, Jenner isn’t about to get into detail about her personal life. “I just – my personal life, I’m so young,” she says. “Whoever I’m dating, or going to be dating, is young, too. So I don’t think it’s figured out. Do you know what I mean? So if I don’t know what it is, I’d rather not let everyone else know.” That is a very mature, reasonable answer. It is also a very boring one. How can we turn that into a controversial celebrity gossip story?
Natalie and James continued to bicker on the latest episode of Big Brother and it was super annoying. James wanted to make sure his last few days with Natalie were well spent, but all Natalie was concerned with was whining at James for making the wrong decision in the game. I’m now firmly believing that getting in a relationship with Natalie is what ruined his game. Yes, Natalie has won a HOH competition, but she wouldn’t be at that stage of the game to win anything if it wasn’t for James shielding her. The last straw for James was when Natalie refused to sleep in the same bed as him. He let rip about her throwing him under the bus. Natalie was absolutely furious, but James had every right to call her out. She’s made him look silly in front of America. Natalie was blatantly speaking to Paul and Victor as an opportunity to shift the target from her to James, but the rest of the house understood what was going on. Victor tried to build a bridge with James because he thought he could use him down the line, but I don’t see any way James joins back up with Paul & Victor. There’s more chance of him joining forces with Nicole and Corey, but Natalie warned him against doing that. Corey confided in Nicole about the way Natalie was acting. Nicole confirmed that James is no longer playing the game. He’s been blinded by his showmance. It’s unheard of. Even Jeff and Jordan agreed. Yes, CBS seems to think bringing all these past houseguests on for a chat is what viewers want to see. We’d much rather have more time to watch the HOH competition, rather than be directed to purchase the live feeds at the conclusion of the episode. At the eviction ceremony, Natalie was evicted by a vote of 3-0. Natalie made it pretty clear that James is her best friend when exiting the house, but she did not reveal whether the two of them would continue their relationship. That’s pretty ominous, but maybe she’s waiting to see if James joins forces with Nicorey before making a decision. If that’s the case, he can do better. We got to see Michelle arriving in the jury house and everyone was shocked. Michelle continued to be bitter towards Nicole and made fun of her when they were watching the tapes back. Da’vonne revealed that even though she has beef with Nicole, her game play is picking up and she has to compliment her for that. Maybe the jury aren’t going to be so bitter to Nicole after all. The HOH competition kicked off and the episode concluded before we got to witness any of it go down. A couple of reports actually claim that Hiddleston and Swift argued over how public their romance had become… with Hiddleston being the one pushing to keep it that way. Yes, these reports really do allege that Swift was trying to keep a relationship on the Down Low for the first time in her life. Other reports, however, try to make it clear that Hiddleston was the one to dump Swift . “He grew tired of Taylor, it wasn’t the other way round,” an insider claims, adding: “Tom drifted from her and it had nothing to do with her being put off by the publicity.” Okay, fine. Whatever. Truth be told, we may never know what drove the Avengers actor and solo artist apart. But that’s the past. What about the present and the future? Tom and Taylor just flew too close to the passionate sun. “It was a very emotion-filled time [they] spent together,” this same source says. “It was a very fast and heavy relationship.” Neither Hiddleston nor Swift has spoken yet on what transpired. Heck, neither Hiddleston nor Swift really spoke out during their whirlwind romance, either. They simply traveled the globe together and were snapped in many cozy or awkward photos. We did not see this one coming. Elizabeth Gilbert, she who has been blessed by Oprah and inspired every girl in her 20’s to customize an Eat Pray Love vacation of their own, has followed her happiness and fallen in love with her best friend, Rayya Elias. Back in July, Gilbert confirmed that she and husband Jose Nunes – whom she famously met in Bali during the “Love” section of her best-selling book, Eat Pray Love – were separating. At the time, Gilbert chose not to reveal the reasons behind the couple’s split, but today the world-famous author wrote a note to her fans on Facebook, admitting that she has fallen for Elias, who was diagnosed with cancer this past spring. Dear Ones – There is something I wish to tell you today — something which I hope and trust you will receive with grace. This spring, I received news that would change my life forever. My best friend Rayya Elias was diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer — a disease for which there is no cure. In the moment I first learned of Rayya’s diagnosis, a trap door opened at the bottom of my heart (a trap door I didn’t even know was there) and my entire existence fell straight through that door. From that moment forward, everything became about HER. I cancelled everything in my life that could be cancelled, and I went straight to her side, where I have been ever since. Something happened to my heart and mind in the days and weeks following Rayya’s diagnosis. Death — or the prospect of death — has a way of clearing away everything that is not real, and in that space of stark and utter realness, I was faced with this truth: I do not merely love Rayya; I am in love with Rayya. And I have no more time for denying that truth. The thought of someday sitting in a hospital room with her, holding her hand and watching her slide away, without ever having let her (or myself!) know the extent of my true feelings for her…well, that thought was unthinkable. Here is the thing about truth: Once you see it, you cannot un-see it. So that truth, once it came to my heart’s attention, could not be ignored. But what to do with this potentially life-shattering truth? Now let me tell you something I’ve learned from Rayya, over the fifteen years of our friendship. She is the most brave and honest person I know, and she has taught me more about courage and honesty than anyone I have ever met. Here is her mantra on truth, which I’ve heard her express so many times over the years, in so many difficult situations: “The truth has legs; it always stands. When everything else in the room has blown up or dissolved away, the only thing left standing will always be the truth. Since that’s where you’re gonna end up anyway, you might as well just start there.” So. Here is where we stand now: Rayya and I are together. I love her, and she loves me. I’m walking through this cancer journey with her, not only as her friend, but as her partner. I am exactly where I need to be — the only place I can be. Gilbert gently encouraged her fans not to send tips/stories/remedies for Elias’ cancer, because they have been overwhelmed by information in the past months. Instead, Gilbert requested that people send “whatever extra love” that’s being carried around in their hearts. “It will be felt,” she wrote. “And it will help. We will resonate with it, and we will thank you for it.”
As you’ve probably heard by now, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have broken up after just three months of dating. Apparently, she had previously agreed to do so, but then decided against it, as she’s lying low until her current mini-scandals blow over. Taylor skipped the VMAs last week to nurse her ailing ego/reputation, and she apparently informed Hiddleston that she’s had a change of heart about working the red carpet at the Emmys as well. According to some sources, this sparked an argument which the young relationship simply couldn’t survive. Like we said, it may be quite some time in tell you find out exactly what happened. But we wouldn’t be surprised if Taylor is in a studio somewhere trying to think of words that rhyme with “Emmy.”
