Serena Williams Talks Pregnancy, Marriage In HBO Docuseries Trailer

Source: PAUL CROCK / Getty HBO is gifting the masses with a look inside the life of the world’s top athlete, Serena Williams . The last year has been pretty eventful for Serena. She became a mom back in September. Then in November, she and Alexis Ohanian got married. All of this after winning the Australian Open while she was pregnant. And HBO was there for everything! The network announced this week that it will air a docuseries about the golden slam tennis champ, titled Being Serena. “Being Serena will provide viewers unprecedented access to Williams during her pregnancy, new motherhood and marriage while documenting her journey back to supremacy on the court,” HBO announced in a statement. “Viewers will experience her life from every angle as the intimate first-person show delves into her landmark career, family life and expanding role as a businesswoman and investor in the worlds of tech, fashion, fitness and philanthropy.” From the look of the trailer, Serena’s going to get candid about pregnancy and motherhood. Viewers may also get a glimpse inside her regal wedding and join her on the tennis court as she prepares to get back to work. In the trailer, Serena makes one thing crystal clear: She’s striving to be the best in every aspect of her life. And she’s “not done yet.” Look out for Being Serena when it debuts May 2 at 10 p.m. on HBO. Catelynn Lowell: Roots of PTSD Finally Revealed?

In the past two years, Catelynn Lowell has checked into rehab three times. While her journey toward greater emotional stability and mental health certainly hasn’t been an easy one, it’s yielded trendous results, making Lowell both a more fulfilled person and a spokesperson for those battling mental illness. Earlier this week, Lowell revealed that she’s been diagnosed with PTSD . “It’s panic disorder, PTSD – I like to call myself a trauma survivor – and it’s depression, but it’s co-occurring depression or something like that,” Lowell revealed in a candid interview. “It will go away and it will come back with the panic disorder.” Catelynn didn’t go into detail regarding the roots of her trauma, but in the past, she’s spoken at length about her difficult childhood. Lowell’s father, David, helped shed new light on her painful past this week in a revealing interview with Radar Online: “I don’t do drugs or drink so mostly it was when we had to move for my job when she was 12,” David told the site about the painful period during which he and his daughter were separated by distance. “Kids don’t realize that parents have to do whatever it takes to pay support and insurance for their children, even if it means moving to do so.” David added that his children were well cared-for financially, but said they may not have always received the emotional support they needed:  “I was never a deadbeat dad. One thing I’ve always done is take care of my kids,” he claimed. “That we both had a hard time dealing with. But we called frequently.” David went on to reveal that he suspects Catelynn’s mother didn’t always provide a stable home life: “What her mother did with the money – many different boyfriends and moving all the time – I couldn’t say  As for how Catelynn is faring following her latest rehab stint, David his daughter is in a “wonderful” state of mind. “She’s doing her aftercare like a champ,” he tells Radar. “I did go with her to a holistic approach therapist. I believe this is the first time she’s tried it. It involves breathing techniques, aromatics, and of course, talking.” Closing on a hopeful night, David adds: “I think she’s won the battle, but staying humble about it. I’ve never been a huge fan of  Lea Michele . Personally, I think she’s kind of annoying, in a theater school kid kind of way. Also, I’m not sure if she still technically qualifies as famous now that Glee ‘s been off the air for a couple years. Bye Toya! Quad Once Again Claps Back At Rumors That She Secretly Doesn’t Want Kids

Marcus Ingram/Getty Images Rumor control… Quad Responds To Toya Bush-Harris’ “Married To Medicine Reunion” Shade A “Married To Medicine” star/talk show host is once again responding to rumors that she secretly doesn’t want children. Ms. Quad was recently asked to address the ridiculousness during an episode of TV One’s “Sister Circle” talk show. During the show’s “Full Circle” segment Quad and her fellow cohosts asked the question, “Do kids complete a marriage?” before playing a clip from the “Married To Medicine” reunion. In it,  Andy Cohen asks Toya Bush-Harris to speak on Quad’s marriage to Dr. Gregory Lunceford and Toya shadily says that  Quad is not her husband’s “everything” because she won’t give him what he really wants; a child. Andy Cohen: “Do you think Quad is Greg’s everything?” Toya: “The reality is, in the beginning, five years ago you [Quad] were saying that children was not your focus, your focus was securing your bag. The only thing he’s ever asked for is a child, so no, I guess she’s not.” Quad clapped back at Toya’s statement on “Sister Circle” and reiterated that the state of her marriage is not “conducive” for a child. “I don’t know what makes Toya so qualified to speak on my life and anyone else,” said Quad. “She stated something that was untrue. I’ve always wanted to have children and still do want to have children, however, I am unselfish enough to know that right now my marriage and the state of my marriage is not conducive to a positive environment for a child.” Speak your truth Quad!
