When the Casey Anthony trial began, her defense attorney, Jose Baez, threw out some stunning allegations against Casey’s father, George. Namely, that his prior abuse of Casey caused her to act erratically, and that he had an affair with a woman named Krystal Holloway who was helping him look for Casey’s missing 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony. Tuesday, on the stand, George Anthony denied any infidelity. “She was someone who volunteered at our site,” he said. “I considered her a friend. She worked at our command center to help find Caylee.” Why does it matter to Casey Anthony’s defense whether or not he had an affair with Holloway? Because of something he supposedly told her. Holloway told police that during an intimate moment, George confided that Caylee’s death was “an accident that snowballed out of control.” “Did you say that to her?” Baez asked the father of the accused. “No,” said Anthony. “I didn’t confide with anyone during that time.” During the testimony, jurors swiveled their chairs towards George Anthony, watching him intently. The prosecution in the Casey Anthony murder trial once again called a crucial witness to the stand on Tuesday: Anthony’s mother, Cindy. Testifying for the third time in the trial, Cindy helped the prosecution establish and connect key bits of evidence against Casey Anthony. Items found with murdered Caylee Anthony ‘s remains can be traced back to the Anthony home, according to the testimony from Cindy. As Cindy left the stand and took her seat next to husband George, she mouthed “I love you” to Casey, but her daughter looked away. Cindy Anthony was among the last of the prosecution witnesses. The defense case – full of shocking claims – is expected to begin this week. Cindy testified today that a canvas laundry bag had been missing from the family home. A similar bag was found with Caylee’s remains. She also said a Winnie-the-Pooh blanket was missing; a similar one was found at the scene. But the most disturbing revelation came later. Decomposing hair found in Casey Anthony’s trunk – long, brown and untreated by chemicals – could belong to Cindy, Casey or Caylee Anthony. Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick also asked Cindy about her hair length, coloring and style. “I’ve had this hairstyle since 2002,” Cindy Anthony testified. Her hair is short and dyed blonde – not a match to the hair found in the trunk. She also testified that at the time of Caylee’s death, Casey kept her hair short and dyed – again, not a match for the hair in the trunk. Defense attorney Jose Baez later left Cindy in tears as he tried to point out inconsistencies between her testimony and a 2009 deposition. “I don’t remember everything I said,” Cindy sighed. “It was a two-day deposition.” Earlier, investigator Alina Burrows testified that a sheet of heart-shaped stickers, each the size of a dime, was found in Casey’s bedroom. That was just days after Caylee’s body was found in 2008. The jury on Monday heard gruesome testimony that heart-shaped sticker residue was found on duct tape on Caylee Anthony’s skull. Over objections by Anthony’s attorneys, prosecutors showed photos of the stickers found in the top drawer of Anthony’s bedroom dresser.

I believe in the power of coming together to make an impact, so I am glad to be able to support such a powerful message.” Hayley is one of hundreds of celebrities to pose for the cause. Bribes go a long way. Just kidding … well, mostly. Whatever the reason, Lindsay Lohan received a lovely Christmas present when Dawn Holland dropped her battery allegation. The ex-Betty Ford employee who got into an altercation with the troubled star, who she accused of attacking her, is letting the case against Lohan go. HO, HO, HO : Lindsay’s Christmas season is now more cheerful . “Dawn will not continue to press charges against Lindsay, nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution,” her attorney said . “A crime has quite simply not been committed by Ms. Lohan.” The authorities could still file charges against Lohan, but without the testimony of the one witness who lodged the complaint, it would lead nowhere. As such, Lindsay looks to have beaten the rap once again. Last week, the Palm Desert Police confirmed that Lohan was the suspect in a physical incident with Holland, a chemical technician at Betty Ford. Holland claimed that Lohan attacked her when asked to submit to a breathalyzer test andthat she went to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Hours after blabbing her story to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Holland was fired from the famous rehab facility for violating confidentiality rules. A day after that, she pulled a 180 and said she would no longer pursue any case against the 24-year-old, like herself a recovering addict. Holland did not want “in any way shape or form to do anything that would violate Lindsay’s probation or cause an arrest,” her lawyer said. Lohan faced at least six months in jail if she had been found guilty of assault, as it would constitute a probation violation. But it’s all good. She is scheduled to leave rehab January 3. God help us.

John Stamos will guest star on Glee this fall. But there’s nothing gleeful about his current situation: the actor took to the stand yesterday to defend himself against Allison Coss, the young woman arrested in December for trying to extort $680,000 from Stamos in exchange for not releasing allegedly compromising photos of him. Testifying in U.S. District Court, Stamos denied all accusations that he used cocaine and/or accompanied an underaged Coss in a hot tub. He admitted the following under oath: He met the then-17-year old in Orlando in 2004. She told him she was 18 and on spring break form college. The next day, Stamos and his friends met up with Coss and others in a hotel room, where they were “hanging out, socializing.” There was no drug use of any kind. Following the Florida trip, Stamos and Coss stayed in touch via e-mail, exchanges the actor described as “flirty” but “friendly.” Stamos asked for “wild” photos of Coss in 2007. Coss and boyfriend Scott Sippola are charged with conspiracy and two counts of extortion against the actor. If convicted on all charges, they could face up to nine years in prison. Near the end of his testimony, Coss’ lawyer randomly asked Stamos if he was a friend of Charlie Sheen. He replied: “No, but I know Lindsay Lohan .”
