Ben Flajnik is ready to come into his own as The Bachelor. The runner-up for Ashley Hebert’s heart on The Bachelorette was devastated by her season finale rejection, but credits her for allowing him to grow emotionally. Now, the tables have turned and the 28-year-old Napa vineyard owner is ready to dole out the roses … and the wine, obviously. We sense a theme with ABC’s first promotional photo for the new season, beginning in January … ABC’s press release for the new season (premiering January 2) describes Ben Flajnik as “a rare, modern Renaissance man.” What makes him such a rarity? “Ben dabbles in a lot of hobbies and crafts, such as crab fishing, sailing, golf, skate boarding, surfing, playing piano and singing in a tribute band.” “He is also quite handy with a hammer and saw, and loves fixing and building things, as well as landscaping. The woman who will share his life will also have to share one of his other great loves: his Jack Russell Terrier, Scotch.” Get ready to swoon away, ladies. Swoon away. Ben F.: Good choice for The Bachelor?

Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez: On the Rocks?

Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez got engaged on The Bachelorette season finale in the summer of 2010, with the actual proposal taking place months earlier. They’ve been together the whole time since, living in San Diego and going about their lives. But with no wedding on the horizon, is there trouble afoot? According to Us Weekly , more than you even KNOW. While Ali Fedotowsky has blamed the postponements on scheduling conflicts and a bad kickboxing injury, “pals” say their issues run way deeper than that. “Their relationship has been tumultuous since day one,” a mutual friend says of the pair, whose nuptials were supposed to be an ABC Bachelorette special. Due to both of them working long hours and other stresses taking their toll on the couple, “They’re either extremely happy or can’t stand each other.” “They bring out the worst in each other,” the source adds, noting that after one spat, “Ali was in tears … she’s miserable in the relationship and he is too.” For what it’s worth, Ali seemed very happy in her interview with THG this summer, and this is the first we’ve heard of any strife between them. Ashley Hebert: J.P. Rosenbaum is My Rock!

J.P. Rosenbaum certainly gave Ashley Hebert – and TV audiences across the country – a happy ending last night when he nervously popped the question. The 26-year-old dental student from Philadelphia accepted J.P.’s marriage proposal immediately. From a man she calls “my rock,” was there ever a doubt? “We complement each other so well,” Hebert said today on Good Morning America, the couple’s first, live TV appearance together as an engaged couple. Ashley on JP: “He’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.” The couple announced that Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum will soon be living in the same city after she relocates to New York in the near future. That said, they have no plans to rush down the aisle. “She’s going to move to New York City, finish up school,” J.P. said. “We’re going to find a place, she’ll get a job, we’ll get settled and then we’re going to talk about a wedding … Maybe fall of next year, or end of next year.” The Bachelorette season finale is in the books, but for Ashley, 26, and J.P., 34, they feel that only now can their lives can finally begin. While Rosenbaum delivered his proposal to Hebert months ago in Fiji, proclaiming to her, “You mean the world to me and I want to be with you forever,” the duo were not able to publicly celebrate their engagement be. “It was kind of fun at first, to keep the secret,” Hebert said on GMA . “But then, towards the end, we were ready to kind of come out in the open.” Perhaps someone not ready for the couple to come out, however, was the man who was left standing in Fiji with an unclaimed engagement ring, 28-year-old winemaker Ben Flajnik, whose proposal Hebert rejected. “She didn’t have what we have with any other guy,” Rosenbaum said of any worries he had that Hebert would choose Flajnik over him. “For the most part, I knew that she didn’t have what we had with anyone else.” What do you think? Keeping Up with the Kardashians Review: Bladder Up!

What are we doing, readers? Did we just spend a half hour of our lives watching Kris Jenner talk about her bladder and her vagina? Have we no dignity?!? While I re-consider how I spend my free time, let’s review the latest scripted episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians , THG style! Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Kris vs. Khloe Kris Jenner often pees herself. MINUS 7 because I don’t care and because that’s gross. There’s apparently a rule of no phones at the dinner table in this household. Multiple TV cameras, though? No problem! PLUS 9 . Kris is upset because her kids keep giving her a hard time over her bladder in front of strangers. Unless me and her are tighter than I realized, MINUS 19 for her complaining about this to a TV camera. Bruce hopes to “inspire” others at a local heli-park. MINUS 12 . Bruce Jennifer is an Olympian decathlete, folks. These girls have to understand the value of money and hard work, Bruce says about his daughters. It’s true. PLUS 3 because you can’t just lie down, turn on a camera and invite Ray J into your room to get somewhere in life. Kim uses the word “romantical.” MINUS 47 . MINUS 112 because Kourtney just brought up her mom’s “leaky vagina.” We just watched Kris Jenner get a gynecological exam. MINUS 879 . Kourtney and Kris are now doing simultaneous kegel exercises. MINUS 1,179 . This is the worst half hour of my life. PLUS 11 for Kylie and Kendall going to a downtown mission and meeting the first black people they’ve ever seen who aren’t dating one of their siblings. Kris turns her bladder leaking into an endorsement deal. Our pain is her monetary pleasure, people. MINUS 83 . EPISODE TOTAL: -2,247. SEASON TOTAL: -2,581

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall: Married!

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall were married in a royal wedding fit for the Queen’s granddaughter today. William and Kate were there to watch his cousin wed! Zara, Prince William’s cousin and 13th in line to the throne (William’s #2 behind his father), and Mike, England’s rugby team captain, tied the knot in Edinburgh . The 3 p.m. ceremony took place at Canongate Kirk, the historic, small Church of Scotland venue where the Queen worships when she stays in the city. The bride made her arrival at a fashionably late six minutes past the hour in an ivory silk and satin gown by Stewart Parvin, the personal couturier to the Queen. She accessorized with Jimmy Choo shoes and a tiara on loan from Princess Anne. Mike Tindall wore a suit with coattails and a light grey stripe on the trouser legs. Princess Beatrice was among the first guests to arrive, wearing a turquoise hat with matching floral dress. Prince William and Kate Middleton (who wore a cream suit and matching hat) pulled up right afterwards in a black Jaguar. Princess Anne and her husband Tim Laurence followed and then another car brought Prince Charles and Camilla, also dressed in cream. The guests posed for the throngs of people lining the narrow, cobblestone streets, while HRM Queen Elizabeth II herself, in a dignified peach dress and hat, and Prince Phillip smiled to the crowd upon their arrival. The reception will be held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen’s nearby residence. Zara spent many school holidays visiting her grandmother there. The Queen is donating the use of her residence as the wedding reception venue for $60,000, which is being closed to the public for five days. It will cost local officials a reported $800,000 to police the wedding, including marksmen at vantage points to protect the royal guests. With guests expected to number no more than 300, Zara looked forward to a private, family affair – quite different from her cousin’s in April. “My wedding will be nothing like Kate and William’s,” Phillips said last month. For a start, there won’t be anywhere near as many people.” “It will be a lot smaller, just close family and friends. Ashley Hebert: SO In Love!!

At times, she wondered if this was all a mistake. But in the end, The Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert says she found the happy ending she dreamed of. This summer, we’ve seen Ashley roasted to her face, ridiculed and jerked around by Bentley Williams, and ditched by two other men late in the season. Her take on those ups and downs? All’s well that ends well. “There were certainly moments where I thought I’d made a mistake agreeing to be the Bachelorette and thought it wasn’t going to end well,” she said . “But you come out a stronger person and learn so many things about yourself. Ultimately, I know I did the right thing. I’m so happy, so in love.” “I found a great man. It’s going strong – we’ve been hanging out and talking all the time. I hoped I would leave with this type of relationship.” With the season finale looming Monday night, Hebert is anxious to go public with the identity of the last man standing – but is it Ben or J.P. ? “I’m really ready for this to be over so we can go into the light of day and get on with normal everyday life,” the 26-year-old Maine native says. Jesse James and Kat Von D: It’s Over!

Jesse James and Kat Von D have broken up. Their engagement, announced in January, will not end as planned – in a late summer wedding on the one-year anniversary of when they started dating. The couple confirmed the split themselves. “I am so sad because I really do love her,” James, who has been married three times before, tells People . “The distance between us was just too much.” Jesse, 42, and LA Ink star were trying to commute between Los Angeles, where Kat, 29, shoots her reality show, and his home outside Austin, Texas. He moved there with kids Chandler, 16, and Jesse Jr., 14 (from his first marriage), and Sunny, 7 (from his second marriage) in the middle of last year. James wanted the children to remain close with his third wife, Sandra Bullock, who lives in Austin, and with whom they had a close relationship. Von D also confirmed the split on Twitter. “I am no longer w Jesse,” she writes, “and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I’d like to share. Thanks for respecting that.”
