The Bachelor vs. Chuck Lorre: Bad TV Feud Alert!

Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory creator / former Charlie Sheen nemesis Chuck Lorre has been bashing ABC’s The Bachelor for some reason. Naturally, the popular reality franchise is responding in kind. Inspired by unknown factors, Lorre called the dating show “idiotic” on one of his trademark vanity cards after a recent episode of The Big Bang Theory . Which is a little like Nadya Suleman calling someone irresponsible or Kim Kardashian labeling another wannabe star a shameless fame whore, or … you get the idea. This led Bachelor producer Elan Gale to tweet: “Someone has been freebasing crushed up copies of Dharma & Greg DVDs … Two and a Half Men. Zero salient points.” Host Chris Harrison retweeted Gale’s response, while Bachelor producer Robert Mills noted: “It’s ironic that Chuck Lorre decides to bash #Bachelor and one of his stars Kaley Cuoco is a card carrying member of #Bachelornation” Indeed. On an unrelated note: Kaley Cuoco bikini photos are unreal. Whose side are you on? Team Bachelor or Team Chuck?

Dave Mustaine: Barack Obama Staged Aurora Shooting!

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine says President Barack Obama somehow “staged” the recent Colorado shooting as part of a conspiracy to ban guns. Seriously. In comments that may put even Ted Nugent to shame, Dave suggested that Obama was behind the massacre perpetrated by James Holmes … and a lot more. At a Tuesday, August 7 performance in Singapore, Mustaine told the crowd, “Back in my country, my president … he’s trying to pass a gun ban.” “So he’s staging all of these murders, like the ‘Fast And Furious’ thing down at the border … Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there … and the beautiful people at the [Wisconsin Sikh temple].” The rocker continued, “I don’t know where I’m gonna live if America keeps going the way it’s going because it looks like it’s turning into Nazi America.” One major hole in Mustaine’s “theory” (besides basic facts): Obama has not made any push for gun control in the wake of these tragedies. In any case, Mustaine is not a big Obama fan. He endorsed Rick Santorum for the GOP nomination this spring, and has been part of the “birther” crusade. In an interview with Alex Jones (below), Dave wondered why no one has tried to impeach Obama, “With all of the proof about his birth certificate being fake.” “And you see the signs in Kenya that say ‘the birthplace of Barack Obama.’ Hello?! C’mon, guys. How stupid are we right now?” A very good question, Dave. One that’s left us speechless.

Melky Cabrera Fails Drug Test, Suspended 50 Games by Major League Baseball

Melky Cabrera, the 2012 All-Star Game MVP and one of the best players in baseball this season, has failed a test for performance enhancing drugs and been suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball. The San Francisco Giants outfielder registered high levels of testosterone – and didn’t deny the reason behind it. “My positive test was the result of my use of a substance I should not have used,” Cabrera said in a statement released by the players’ union. “I accept my suspension under the Joint Drug Program and I will try to move on with my life. I am deeply sorry for my mistake and I apologize to my teammates, to the San Francisco Giants organization and to the fans for letting them down.” In his first season as a Giant, Cabrera is batting .346 with 11 home runs and 60 RBI. He will miss the remaining 45 games of the regular season and the first five of the postseason, if San Francisco qualifies. Otherwise, he will sit to start the 2013 season. “We were extremely disappointed,” the team said. “We fully support Major League Baseball’s policy and its efforts to eliminate performance enhancing drugs from our game.”

Jason Biggs, Wife Parody Time Breastfeeding Cover

The already-infamous Time Magazine breastfeeding cover has sparked controversy, worldwide debate, and now this ridiculous photo from Jason Biggs. The American Reunion star and his wife, Jenny Mollen, posed up for a picture to parody the shot, with Biggs sharing the image on his Twitter page. Mollen emulated the pose of Time cover model Jamie Lynne Grumet. The Time cover story, on attachment parenting, asked: Are you mom enough? Biggs shared the picture with the caption: “Are you wife enough?” Biggs’ parody, while by far the most absurd, isn’t the only celebrity reaction to the cover story and subject everybody seems to be talking about. Actress Alyssa Milano, who’s been very vocal in the past about her beliefs surrounding breastfeeding, wrote on her Twitter page: “@Time, no! You missed the mark! You’re supposed to be making it easier for breastfeeding moms.” “Your cover is exploitive & extreme.” Model Joanne Krupa, never one to mince words, added: ‘Time magazine cover is disturbing! Breast feeding a 3yr old is wrong! What’s wrong w ppl!’ However, The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik said that while she disagreed with the photo itself, Jamie Lynne Grumet’s story was inspiring. What do you think of “attachment parenting”?
