(Photo Illustration by Thomas Trutschel/Photothek via Getty Images) Time Warner Scores Content Deal With Snapchat Just when we thought Insta Stories killed Snapchat , the platform is coming back strong with help from a mega media player. On Monday Variety reported that Time Warner has struck a $100 million two-year deal with Snap, the company behind Snapchat, to produce as many as ten original shows for Snapchat per year. As part of the agreement, Time Warner also committed to buy ads for HBO, Turner, and Warner Bros. on Snapchat. “This is an exciting and natural move as we bring together some of our leading video properties and brands with Snapchat’s dynamic platform,” Time Warner marketing EVP Gary Ginsberg said in a statement. “We’re confident this partnership will help drive larger audiences to our shows and to the new direct to consumer platforms we continue to rollout.” “This partnership is another exciting step as we continue to branch out into new genres, including scripted dramas, comedies, daily news Shows, documentaries, and beyond,” said Snap’s VP of content Nick Bell. The comedy and drama shows Time Warner plans to produce will be short, only 3-5 minutes each. In March Snap made a deal with MGM to produce original short-form video. The company also has deals with ABC, NBC, ESPN, the NFL, Turner, the BBC, Vice Media, A+E Networks, and Discovery Communications, among others. The deal with Time Warner will help the platform increase the amount of original content available on Snapchat. The company currently publishes around one new original episode per day but hopes to increase that to three new episodes by the end of 2017.

Exclusive: Memphitz Off The Hook In Armed Robbery Case

Reality Star Accused Of Robbing Car Wash Employee Mickey “Memphitz” Wright has gotten off easy in a case where cops said he pulled a gun out on a car wash employee he believed had stolen weed from him. A judge Monday agreed to toss the producer and reality star’s felony armed robbery charges after prosecutors decided not to move forward with the case. As recently as April, prosecutors offered Memphitz a plea deal of 10 years behind bars and 15 years of probation. But the former husband of Lil Wayne’s ex-wife Toya Wright rejected a plea deal and decided to take his chances at trial. If he was convicted, he could have faced 20 years in prison. Following the dismissal, Memphitz took to Instagram to gloat about his win. “I’m Free!” he wrote on Instagram. Cops said Memphitz pulled a gun on a car wash employee and accused the man of stealing marijuana out of his Jeep after he took it there to have it cleaned. Memphitz was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to court papers. We reached out to Memphitz’s attorney for comment.

“You Lookin’ Like A Baby Mama:” Future Goes In On Rocko For Filing $10 Million Lawsuit Against Him

Rocko Sues Future For Millions Future has been getting hit with legal action right and left by his baby mamas , but now he also has a fellow rapper and former colleague coming for his millions. Apparently Rocko and Future have had an ongoing financial beef on the low for years. When Future was a newbie, he was Rocko’s artist, and had a contract to put out 6 albums under his label. But once Future got poppin’, Epic Records came knocking…and Future rolled with them and never looked back. Via TMZ : Future wouldn’t even have one … if not for rapper/producer Rocko, who says he discovered Future, put him on the path to fame and fortune, and then got stabbed in the back. Rocko, owner of A1 Recordings, just sued Future … citing a 2011 contract he believes Future breached. He says the deal was for Future to make his first 6 albums with A1. Rocko says Epic Records signed on to distribute the albums, but then things got tricky. In the suit, he says Future cut a side deal with Epic, which scored him huge multi-million dollar advances. Rocko says he was left out in the cold because Future stiffed him to the tune of 25% — the commission he’s owed off those fat Epic advances. In addition, he says he’s owed 20% of Future’s earnings from touring, endorsements, etc … Bottom line … Rocko says Future’s on the hook for more than $10 million. Wow. Future’s pockets might get lighter and lighter if all these suits keep rolling in. It’s also especially odd since Rocko has quite the reputation as a “street dude,” so it’s interesting that he turned to the courts to recoup what he believes he’s owed. Of course, once the news hit the streets, Future had a few thoughts to share publicly about Rocko and his little lawsuit. Hit the flip to see what Fewtch had to say… Splash/Instagram/Twitter

Anna Benson Arrested for Breaking Into Ex’s Apartment with Gun, Bulletproof Vest

Anna Benson has been arrested for brandishing something a lot more dangerous than a 12-inch dildo . The ex-wife of former Major League Baseball pitcher Kris Benson was taken into custody this morning after she allegedly broke into her former husband’s home, armed with a metal baton and a handgun. According to TMZ, Kris told authorities that Anna went off on him because a judge had forced her to vacate the estranged couple’s marital residence. She arrived at his apartment and threatened to wallop Kris with an “expandable metal baton.” She then brandished a gun, demanded money from Kris and was reportedly donning a bulletproof vest throughout the attack. Anna was booked on charges of felony aggravated assault with a weapon; criminal trespass; and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. She and Kris divorced last year, which followed her saying she would sleep with all of the New York Mets if he ever cheated on her.

U.S. Court of Appeals Tweaks Janet Jackson’s Nipple [PICS]

Ok, so no one doffed their top in the judge’s chambers. But the 3rd U.S. Court of Appeals in Philadelphia did take a fine-toothed comb today to the FCC decision fining CBS $550,000 for the exposure of Janet Jackson ‘s suckle stalk. Ruling 2-1, the court declared that while the FCC does have the authority to crack down on “indecent images” like Janet’s milk nozzle, the commission acted unfairly by changing its policy towards nippage after the slippage fact and thus the fine was issued in error. In case you were in a coma in 2004, Janet’s top “malfunctioned” during a Super Bowl halftime performance with Justin Timberlake , causing one bejeweled baby button to be briefly exposed on national television. While Mr. Skin was delighted, legions of killjoys were not, and the “Nipplegate” (sk)incident led to a widespread crackdown on nip slips, raunchy song lyrics, sexually suggestive storylines, and everything else that makes network TV worth watching. Celebrate boobs, justice and the American way with some notable live TV nip slips after the jump!

EPA Says Gas Driller Contaminated Texas Aquifer

http://c1.cleantechnica.com/files/2010/05/Natural_Gas_Fracking.jpg The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has issued an emergency order accusing a Texas gas driller of contaminating an aquifer. The EPA's letter Tuesday gave Range Resources of Forth Worth 48 hours to provide clean drinking water to affected residents and take steps to resolve the problem. The EPA and the Texas Railroad Commission began inspecting wells in August after receiving complaints from residents in North Texas' Parker County. Explosive methane and other contaminants, including cancer-causing benzene, were found two wells. The federal agency says Tuesday's order was issued because the state didn't respond quickly enough. Range Resources denies being the source of the contamination. And the commission says its staff hasn't determined a source. The commission says Range is cooperating with its investigation and calls the EPA's order premature. added by: toyotabedzrock

New Jersey woman must return her ‘BIOCH’ license plate

A New Jersey woman says she has to surrender her state-issued “BIOTCH” license plate she’s had on her car for more than four years because someone complained it was offensive. Kim Romano, 49, ordered the “BIOCH” plate as a joke after she received a credit for a personalized license plate from the state Motor Vehicle Commission after they misspelled her original plate. She asked for “BIG KIM,” but received “B1G KIM” instead, which she thought “looked stupid,” so she sent it back. Romano tried to register several profane words for her license plate on the MVC Web site, but all were rejected until she requested “BIOCH.” When she was notified that it was approved, she couldn’t believe her eyes. “They said, ‘Congratulations, you’re the first ‘bioch’ in New Jersey,” she said. But now, a complaint filed by a retired police officer who took offense to the plate has caused the commission to have a change of heart, and they’re demanding that she return the plate or they won’t renew her registration next month. Romano’s now handing over the recalled plate and has applied for a new one that’s a far cry from how she feels about the matter. She expects to receive replacement plate “WHAEVER” soon. http://www.tabloidprodigy.com/?p=14276 added by: knowandtell
