Mr. Skin’s Whack-It Bracket: The Enticing 8 [PICS]

We’ve entered into a new, nude round of competition at Mr. Skin’s Whack-It Bracket : The Enticing 8 ! The voting has been getting closer and closer as the competition gets more SKINtense, and once again, we were only half right in our predictions. Interestingly, while in earlier rounds an actresses’ nude scenes (or lack thereof) didn’t seem to matter much, in the Sexy 16 round many of our non-nude or barely-nude celebs like Kristen Bell and Sofia Vergara were defeated by their opponents with better nudity. (The lone non-nude holdout is Mila Kunis .) The people have spoken, and they want skin! So who’s going to go on to our final Foxy 4 ? We’re making our predictions after the jump!

‘American Idol’ Frontrunner Phillip Phillips Hospitalized

Singer, who suffers from kidney stones, was rushed to the ER on Thursday morning. By Gil Kaufman Phillip Phillips on American Idol Photo: FOX There’s no doubt that the atmosphere on “American Idol” is pressure cooker. But when you add pre-existing health problems into the mix it can get even more difficult for the finalists to make it to the stage twice a week. According to TMZ, one of the leading contenders on this year’s show, acoustic strummer Phillip Phillips, was rushed to a medical facility on Thursday morning for emergency treatment. Sources said Phillips, who suffers from kidney stones, was complaining of intense pain in his abdomen, but it is unclear what ailed him. TMZ claimed that someone close to Phillips suspected it could be gallstones. Phillips’s dad later reportedly told TMZ that his son has had 5 different procedures to remove kidney stones — including one in January — and that his boy is determined to stay in the competition, putting off any procedure for now. The Dave Matthews-esque footstomper was safely put through on Thursday night, when amiable Jeremy Rosado was sent home. If Phillips does stick it out, he wouldn’t be the first “Idol” favorite to battle illness on the show. Back in 2010, eventual runner-up Crystal Bowersox
 rebounded from a hospital stay
and thoughts of throwing in the towel, with one of that season’s highlights. Bowersox, a diabetic, was told that she would be eliminated from the show
if she didn’t not make it to that week’s performance. A spokesperson for “Idol” could not be reached for comment at press time on Phillips’ condition. Related Photos ‘American Idol’ Season 11 Top 13 Contestants

Josh Hutcherson Prepares for a Pounding in High School Slasher Detention

Joseph Kahn’s Detention had me from its first knowingly self-aware trailer, and while word out of SXSW was polarizing — a love it or hate it kind of deal, by many accounts — it’s one of my more anticipated films of the spring. True, the competition this season isn’t too stiff, but still! Watch Josh Hutcherson (of next months The Hunger Games , perhaps you’ve heard of it?) as a cute hipster kid get ready to take a beating from the school tough guy while an actual killer runs rampant through town and tell me this isn’t worth putting on the calendar for April. Here’s the film’s full trailer, to give you a sense of what we’re in for. Admittedly, the nonstop pop culture references schtick has been almost fully exhausted by now but good, clever high school comedies never get old. Call it Not Another Not Another Teen Movie , if you will/must. Adding to the intrigue: Detention was shot half a year before Hutcherson was cast as Peeta in The Hunger Games , so the timing of release here is obvious. Will Hunger Games fans flock to the R-rated horror comedy to see a new side of Hutcherson in what may be the edgiest/darkest/ballsiest project since he graduated from family flicks? Detention will be released in select theaters on April 13. [via Badass Digest ]

The Bachelor Promo: You Can’t Fool Him, Honey!

“My mojo is risin’ and all these bitches betta look out!” – Courtney Robertson As if she weren’t public enemy #1 already, Courtney’s skinny-dipping escapades on The Bachelor last night elevated her villain status to new heights/depths. Will the overshadowed other women rise up against her? And will it matter? As Court continues to run roughshod over the rest of the competition for Bachelor Ben Flajnik, the rest of the house has had about all that it can take of her. Emily’s efforts to show that Ben’s being played (Ellen DeGeneres agrees) have fallen on deaf ears so far. Will the women stand a better chance collectively? If nothing else, it looks like they’re gonna try. Watch the promo for next week’s episode and beyond (around the six minute mark) in the video below: The Bachelor Promo: Mojo Rising

The matchups are tight in round three, with “Me Against the Music” holding a slight edge over “Hold It Against Me,” with 51 percent of the votes. “Till the World Ends” is starting to take a more commanding lead with 55 percent of the votes over “Lucky,” which barely made it through to the second round with a late win against “Everytime.” “Criminal” and “Stronger” are neck-and-neck in the competition, with “Criminal” having less than a 1 percent lead. Could Britney herself have given “Criminal” a helping hand during this competition? ‘X Factor’: Astro Raps Through His Drama

Two contestants will go home on Wednesday’s results episode. By Adam Graham Astro on “X Factor” Photo: FOX Teen rapper Astro addressed his blow-up last week and promised to not let his fans down again during Tuesday’s (November 22) performance episode of “The X Factor,” which found the competition’s top nine contestants dedicating their performances to special people in their lives. Astro, the 15-year-old Brooklyn rapper who had a near meltdown and almost refused to perform after landing in the bottom two on last week’s results episode, explained in a pre-packaged introduction he “didn’t know how to control my emotions” last week and he “could have handled it better.” He then went on to address the situation further in an original song he performed set to Jay-Z’s “Show Me What You Got,” in which he rapped, “Got my head in the right place and I’m back to win.” Before the judges weighed in on his song, he explained to his fans, “To Team Astro and all the Astronauts across the world, but mostly hip-hop, I’ll never let you down again.” Simon Cowell, who harshly criticized Astro for his attitude last week, took to the young MC’s apology. “The music business needs unpredictability,” Cowell said, explaining he admired Astro for speaking his mind. His mentor L.A. Reid went with the cooler-heads approach as well. “As long as you keep a good head on your shoulders and always do your very best, you’ll be fine,” he told him. Here’s how the rest of the evening’s performances shook out. The Girls Rachel Crow opened the show and dedicated Yolanda Adams’ “I Believe” to her adoptive parents. The performance sparkled, and never one to exaggerate, Abdul said Crow was proof angels exist on earth. Melanie Amaro enjoyed her biggest moment yet on the show, and following her performance of R. Kelly’s “The World’s Greatest” she excitedly celebrated onstage, shouting out her upbringing in the Virgin Islands. Cowell said she is needed in the competition, and Nicole Scherzinger stopped the show to give her a hug, nearly giving ultra time-conscious host Steve Jones a heart attack. And L.A. Reid showed another lapse in his musical knowledge when he criticized Drew for not singing “age appropriate” material, after the 15-year-old sang 19-year-old Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper.” That put Cowell on the offensive, and he spat back at his rival, “I’m sick to death of your pointless, stupid criticism,” going on to call it “unfounded,” “inaccurate” and “complete and utter rubbish.” In this case, we sort of have to agree with Cowell. The Boys Marcus Canty dedicated Boyz II Men’s “A Song for Mama” to his own mama, who was sitting at the foot of the stage, and earned unanimous praise from the judges. “I’ve worked with some great singers, you are as great as any great singer I’ve ever worked with,” Reid told him, while Cowell said Canty put himself back in the competition with the performance. Chris Rene, meanwhile, sang a mix of the Beatles’ “Let It Be” and his own “Young Homie,” which he sang in the early audition rounds. “You reminded everyone why we liked you,” Cowell said, echoing the sentiments of all the judges. The Over 30s Josh Krajcik closed the show singing the Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses” alone at his piano, surrounded by a series of spotlights that made him look like a prisoner in some sort of light jail. Abdul called the burrito maker “larger than life” and Cowell said he was “outstanding,” while Scherzinger told him, “Beyond this competition, I strongly believe your music can change the world.” LeRoy Bell took on Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel,” the soundtrack to way too many of those wrenching animal cruelty awareness ads, and dedicated the song to his late mother. The judges thought it was his best performance, save for Reid, who called it “heartfelt for sure, but not your very best.” The Group Lakoda Rayne, the sole remaining group in the competition, chose to sing Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me” — an odd choice for a dedication, though they were celebrated by the judges. But Cowell seemed to already be acknowledging their fate when he said, “I genuinely wish two people weren’t going home tomorrow.” Yes, two acts are slated to get the ax during Wednesday’s results episode — so much for the warmth of the season! — which is also set to feature performances by Kelly Clarkson and Bruno Mars. Bernie Fine, Associate Head Syracuse Basketball Coach, Accused of Sexual Misconduct

In the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal that has roiled Penn State, two Syracuse University ball boys say they were molested by the school’s associate head basketball coach, Bernie Fine, in the late 1970s and continuing into the 1990s. Police in Syracuse said they have opened an investigation. In a statement Thursday night, Syracuse said it has placed Fine on administrative leave. One of the alleged victims, Bobby Davis, told ESPN that Bernine Fine molested him starting in 1984, shortly before Davis entered the seventh grade. Davis, the team’s ball boy for six years beginning in 1984, said the abuse occurred at Fine’s home, at Syracuse basketball facilities, and on road trips. The second alleged victim, Mike Lang, now 45, is Davis’ stepbrother and was also a ball boy for several years. He said Fine molested him at a similar age. Davis said Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim saw him in Fine’s hotel room on several of those road trips, but never told Boeheim about the alleged abuse. Police stressed that they are in the early stages of the investigation. Thursday evening, police planned to interview both men who made the allegations. Both men spoke in video interviews with ESPN Thursday night, describing the alleged acts by Fine – reaching into their shorts and rubbed their genitals. Fine is in his 35th season as an assistant to Boeheim, who came to his defense. “I know this kid, but I never saw him in any rooms or anything,” Boeheim said. “It is a bunch of a thousand lies that he has told,” the head coach said. “You don’t think it is a little funny that his cousin (relative) is coming forward?” “He supplied four names to the university that would corroborate his story. None of them did … there is only one side to this story. He is lying.” The university has just responded publicly as well. Kevin Quinn, Syracuse’s Senior V.P. for public affairs, issued a statement on behalf of the school: “In 2005, Syracuse University was contacted by an adult male who told us that he had reported to the Syracuse City Police that he had been subjected to inappropriate contact by an associate men’s basketball coach. The alleged activity took place in the 1980’s and 1990’s. We were informed by the complainant that the Syracuse City Police had declined to pursue the matter because the statute of limitations had expired. “On hearing of the allegations in 2005, the University immediately launched its own comprehensive investigation through its legal counsel. That nearly four-month long investigation included a number of interviews with people the complainant said would support his claims. All of those identified by the complainant denied any knowledge of wrongful conduct by the associate coach. The associate coach also vehemently denied the allegations. “Syracuse University takes any allegation of this sort extremely seriously and has zero tolerance for abuse of any kind. If any evidence or corroboration of the allegations had surfaced, we would have terminated the associated coach and reported it to the police immediately. We understand that the Syracuse City Police has now reopened the case, and Syracuse University will cooperate fully. We are steadfastly committed ensuring that SU remains a safe place for every member of our campus community.” The Penn State scandal, exposed after former defensive coordinator Sandusky was charged with 40 criminal counts of molesting at least eight boys over a 15-year span, got Joe Paterno fired and became the talk of the nation. Is Syracuse basketball, another storied collegiate sports institution, now headed down a similar path, or will this set of accusations prove false? More details to follow as the story develops …

Stacy Francis Reacts to Ousting, Labels Astro Behavior "Ungracious, Obnoxious"

Stacy Francis got in a few parting shots after her elimination from The X Factor last night, and it was difficult to blame the contestant for any of them. The aspiring singer was given the boot even after 14-year old Astro whined about being a member of the final two and sulked his way through a rendition of “Never Say Goodbye.” Simon Cowell berated the young singer, but still voted for Stacy to leave. “I feel like I had a disadvantage by not being in his category,” Francis told reporters after the episode aired, predicting that someone from Simon’s group would win and saying the judge “beat up everyone in the competition last night except his category.” As for Astro’s initial refusal to even sing for the panel’s votes? Stacy referred to this attitude as “obnoxious” and added: “Astro’s 14 and you can call him a teenager and give him an excuse, but bad behavior is bad behavior. He was ungracious in that moment… I’m very very honored and I’m grateful for coming this far. I wanted to go all the way and I didn’t, so it’s time for me to reevaluate my life and see what happens from here. I think it’ll be okay.” Do you think the judges made the right decision? Did the right top 10 member go home?

Miss France Throws Salt At New Miss Universe, Miss Angola

It looks like the new Miss Universe has a hater on her hands! After being the first black woman to win Miss Universe in 13 years, Miss France has some not so kind things to say about Miss Angola: “She was the only girl I didn’t know very well. We didn’t see her much; she was very discreet. She was often in jeans and not wearing makeup. We were all surprised by her win. Many girls made efforts that were not rewarded. I don’t know, something is missing in her temperament. The fact that the competition was held in Brazil surely played a role.” How very lady like… GET IT STRAIGHT Africa’s Leila Lopes Wins “Miss Universe” Title! [PHOTOS] Spotted @ Necole Bitchie.com
