Four women entered the American Idol arena last night… … but only three now remain. Following an evening that saw Angie Miller take to her piano – and thereby take herself to the top of many people’s Favorite list – the competition seems more wide open than ever. So, which talented aspiring artist is no longer part of it? Why drag out the suspense any longer? The latest finalist voted off American Idol is… … NOBODY. In a twist that wasn’t difficult to see coming, the Ryan Seacrest announced that the 38 million votes tallied this week will be carried over and combined with next week’s totals. For the record: Candice Glover and Amber Holcomb received the fewest number of votes following yesterday’s performances.
Okay so I never thought in a million years that I would ever get to meet Justin. Things like that do not happen to people like me and I never thought I’d be writing one of these. I already had tickets to see Justin on the 22nd February in Manchester because the Sheffield show got cancelled. I wasn’t meeting Justin so four days before the concert there was a competition on Facebook. You had to enter your name, email, phone number etc and then answer a question about Justin. The prizes were either a meet and greet for the Liverpool show, tickets to see Justin in Manchester, or tickets to see Justin in Liverpool. I entered it thinking “Oh this is just another competition that I won’t win.” It was Wednesday afternoon when I was in the car coming home from the doctors and I got a call from a random number. It turned out to be the competition that I entered on Monday night and the lady said to me, “You haven’t won any of the top prizes but you’ve won tickets to see Justin on the 22nd in Manchester, congratulations.” I was so shocked because I have never won anything in my whole life. I then got an email after the phone call with information about the tickets. After that I was at college doing work, minding my own business when my phone rang. I answered and it was the lady from the competition again. She said, “There’s space for you and a friend to meet Justin, would you like that?” When she said that I just freaked and said, “Yeah I would love to meet him!!” I hung up the phone and started freaking out and it was the day before the concert that this happened. The day of the show I went with my friend and my parents to Manchester. We went to pick up our M&G’s and tickets and then I went to stand with the other competition winners. We stood in our little group for about an hour and then we joined the queue to go down to the meet and greet line. It didn’t hit me that I was meeting Justin after waiting over 3 years. We went and stood in a long line for about half an hour and Dan Kanter started randomly walking down the line so everyone started asking for pictures and I got one with him. Eventually our group went through and I saw Justin standing there. Then it hit me that it was him. We walked over and I was so close to him. We got our picture taken and I looked at him. I didn’t know what to say and he looked at all four of us and smiled and said, “Thank you.” I walked out and I started crying because things like this do not happen to me and now it has it was so worth the wait, even if it was 20 seconds, it was the best 20 seconds of my life. Then it turned out that our seats were 4 rows away from the stage! It was the best day of my life. I could see Justin so close up – it was unreal. Having come in second place behind Ryan Clark on Celebrity Big Brother (UK), Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are continuing to open up about their experience. The gruesome twosome, who said they only feigned being asses for the sake of ratings, now admit they feared for their lives during the competition! Long out of sight and out of mind as far as the American public is concerned, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt re-emerged on UK reality TV this winter. While the Big Brother house tends to be unpredictable, Spencer and Heidi both admit that they felt as if their lives were in danger during the competition! “We didn’t sleep much at all,” Pratt said. “I always had one eye open. We were watching them thinking they were going to try and kill us in our sleep.” “We were constantly nervous something might happen. Every time we saw any of them near knives we left the kitchen straight away,” he said. The man has always had a gift for hyperbole. “They were at such an intense level in the house, we thought they would come and mess with us. Who knows what they would do?” Heidi Montag adds. “At times they were very volatile, easily triggered, and had violent tendencies. I thought we would have to run to get away. I didn’t want to get into a fight at all costs.” The duo did admit, however, to playing the villains. “They brought us in to be Speidi and stir it all up. I feel like a cartoon character. My talent for some odd reason, is being an a**hole” Spencer Pratt said. The winner of the competition, Ryan Clark, isn’t buying it. “I think that’s a load of b*llocks. If that’s really how they feel then ‘bully’ means a different term in f**king America,” says the former X Factor hopeful. “I’ve never met two people who have made me feel so uncomfortable in my life … I think they are genuinely gutted they didn’t win. With Kim Kardashian having already perfected the sex factor, sister Khloe is now officially in for The X Factor . TMZ reports that this Kardashian sibling will co-host Season 2 of Simon Cowell’s creation alongside former Saved by the Bell and current ab-tastic TV personality Mario Lopez. No word yet on the salaries for either star, but look for Khloe and Mario to debut next month when The X Factor goes live. Compared to expectations set by Cowell last year, the competition has been a major dud for Fox. It fails to break 10 million viewers on a weekly basis, while American Idol – even during a down season – typically doubles that number. And while there are hotly contested races in nearly every category , Best Kiss might be the one to watch this year. The front-runners are Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson , not only because they’re fan favorites but because they’ve taken home the award for three consecutive years. MTV News recently caught up with “Twilight” producer extraordinaire Wyck Godfrey, who assessed the competition and concluded that Stewart and Pattinson are likely to bag their fourth award — save for one heated smooch between Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum in “The Vow.” “That might be tough, Channing is having quite a year,” Godfrey said diplomatically, before explaining why the kiss in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ really is this year’s best. ” The Best Kiss is when it’s really about [a] prelude to sex,” Godfrey admitted with a smile. “Sometimes that takes it up a notch and that could be that what might get us over the hump. “I think the build-up for four [‘Twilight’] movies, and to watch these two finally have sex is such that when that happens in ‘Breaking Dawn,’ the audience is fully with it, wants to see every frame of footage,” the producer explained of that heated moment between Edward and Bella after their “I dos.” “I think that kiss is special because we know what it’s leading to.” Aside from this year’s nominated kiss, Godfrey said the previously nominated smooch between Bella and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) in “Eclipse” ranks among his favorites. “I think the fun one was in ‘Eclipse’ when Taylor and Kristen kiss for the first time in the movies, and I think that was something for fans and [the filmmakers] that was really enjoyable because Rob and Kristen were old hat by then.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! Hollie Cavanagh “just kind of knew.” That’s what she told reporters not long after hearing her name announced as the latest American Idol elimination . That was the feeling she had when she woke up. So, once the premonition became a reality, how did Hollie feel? Honestly, if you’d asked me a couple of weeks ago I would’ve been upset and in tears, but you can’t really complain when you are at the top four,” she said. “There were so many people previously in the competition that would have died to have been in this spot, so I am proud of myself at this point.” That’s certainly the right attitude to take, but try telling it to Joshua Ledet ! He was more of a mess than Cavanagh after the results were unveiled. “I don’t know why the boy was crying, I’ll get to see him in like two days!” Hollie laughed. Cavanagh added that she truly has “no idea” who among the final three will win, but she does have nothing but nice things to say about the judges. “They said how proud they were of me and how far I had come. Now I’m just looking to the future and see what the future brings. I don’t want to look down as I have no regrets – I saw myself grow through the whole process and I’m proud of myself. Han, who with his goofball demeanor and off-center sense of humor was criticized heavily for not taking the competition seriously enough, ended up at the bottom of America’s votes following Wednesday’s performance episode, despite earning a standing ovation from the judges for his performance of Donny Hathaway’s “A Song for You.” He reprised the song for the judges in an effort to get them to use their one save for the season on him, but the judges let him go. “Let the record show that you knew this was coming yourself, you saw it come this week,” Steven Tyler told him. “Unfortunately after talking, we’re gonna have to let you go, man.” Just 24 hours earlier, Tyler had praised Han for turning himself around in the competition, and Jennifer Lopez reaffirmed his talents, telling him, “You didn’t make it this far by mistake.” Randy Jackson welcomed him back to the competition, telling him, “Finally, the Heejun that we selected came back to us tonight!” But the 22-year-old from Flushing, New York’s fate may have been sealed following his performance of Billy Joel’s “My Life” the week prior, which was met by a stinging critique from “Idol” mentor Jimmy Iovine. “He came out and disrespected the entire process. His performance was more like four minutes of a bad Adam Sandler movie that goes straight to DVD,” Iovine said, referring to it as a “stunt gone wrong.” “At the end of the day, Interscope has to spend a lot of money on somebody who wins this show, and that’s not it.” At the time, Han — who landed in second to last place following the performance — defended himself by saying, “I’m not trying to be a star, I’m just really happy where I am.” Han was in the bottom three Thursday with Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine. Laine was sent back to safety first, and was followed by Cavanagh. It was the first time in the bottom three for both Laine and Cavanagh. Also on the show, Eric Benet came out to surprise DeAndre Brackensick, who performed his song “Sometimes I Cry” on Wednesday’s show. Meanwhile, last year’s “Idol” champ Scotty McCreery performed his latest single, ‘Water Tower Town,” and was presented with a platinum sales plaque by Iovine, signifying 1 million sales of his debut album, Clear as Day. Nicki Minaj appeared and performed “Starships” and made a pitch to do a guest-judging bid on the show. “J. We’ve entered into a new, nude round of competition at Mr. Skin’s Whack-It Bracket : The Enticing 8 ! The voting has been getting closer and closer as the competition gets more SKINtense, and once again, we were only half right in our predictions. Interestingly, while in earlier rounds an actresses’ nude scenes (or lack thereof) didn’t seem to matter much, in the Sexy 16 round many of our non-nude or barely-nude celebs like Kristen Bell and Sofia Vergara were defeated by their opponents with better nudity. (The lone non-nude holdout is Mila Kunis .) The people have spoken, and they want skin! So who’s going to go on to our final Foxy 4 ? We’re making our predictions after the jump!
