From Andrew Lau, the director of Infernal Affairs (which was remade into Best Picture winner The Departed), comes a brand new martial epic starring the legendary Donnie Yen. Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen is set to open April 22 and features pretty much anything you’d want in a martial arts film: huge battles and fast action wrapped around a period war story about mistaken identity and… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : /Film Discovery Date : 04/03/2011 01:00 Number of articles : 2

‘Legend Of The Fist: The Return Of Chen Zhen’ Trailer

Can Legend of the Fist Live Up to This Awesome Trailer?

I usually avoid trailers for martial arts film altogether because, let’s face it, it’s not too hard to make even the worse film in this genre look mind-blowing and cool in an two-minute trailer. And while the fight choreography in Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zen indeed looks awesome, I was struck more by the chaotic opening war scene and the gorgeous period detail here, both of which set this one way ahead of the pack. At least as far as trailers go. Also, the director of Infernal Affairs , the original Hong Kong version of The Departed , is in charge here, so maybe we can expect a fun, convoluted narrative to compliment the action?

Paz De La Huerta in Nothing Personal of the Day

This is some short film from 2009 called Nothing Personal, starrign Paz De La Huerta, I’m guessing before she got the one acting job she’s ever had in Boardwalk Empire and she’s getting fucked in it, like she does in Boardwalk Empire, only it takes place in present day, so she’s got her pussy shaved, how unfortunate. It’s doing the rounds, was uploaded by the director 10 days ago, and I guess he’s riding off her fame to get himself fame….. I guess that’s the beauty of getting eager girls naked on tape, in the event they ever make it in the big times….or even the not so big times… Hot video regardless – watch it – pre-fame is better than fame.

Salt, Alice in Wonderland and the Worst-Reviewed Films Nominated For an Oscar

The gold standard for bad movies getting Oscar love has to be 2007’s multiple Razzie-winning Norbit , which earned an Oscar nod for Best Make-up, and from that moment forward demanded to be called by its rightful name: ” The Academy Award-Nominated Norbit .” (Shudder.) This year’s crop of Oscar-nominated critical duds are cinematic masterworks by comparison — and most of them can thank the thankless effects, costume, and sound mixing technicians for the profile-boost — but still… who’da thunk these 8 films would have come this far?

8 Milestones in the Evolution of James Cameron

This weekend, James Cameron delivers Sanctum , a rare Cameron produced movie that he didn’t direct. But how did Cameron, the director of the two most successful films of all time, get to this point after his disaster of a big-screen debut, Piranha II: The Spawning ? You can always trace a direct line through a handful of projects (not necessarily his best projects, mind you) to illustrate what led to a director’s current success. And with Cameron, it appears, up to this point, everything that he touches turns into gold (literally, because, you know, his movies make a lot of money).

According to Jon Chu, the director of Justin Bieber’s “ Never Say Never ” 3D movie, Nintendo won’t let them use the Mario game theme song for 15 seconds in the film. Here’s what Jon Tweeted: aw C’mon Nintendo! Y won’t u let us use the Mario theme for 15 secs in the @Justinbieber movie…talk about free advertising passed up. Oops. What do YOU think about Nintendo’s decision?

New Trailer for Due Date: Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis Bicker Across America

For a movie from the director of The Hangover that stars two of America’s funniest, most well-liked working actors, the first trailer for Todd Phillips’ Due Date was a bit of a let down . Now we’ve got a new look at the latest addition to Phillips’ men-without-women oeuvre and thankfully, prospects are looking much better.

"Kettlegate" Scandal Shakes Green Tea Lovers

Image credit: The Guardian OK, my headline may be verging on the hyperbolic, but our readers can get pretty worked up about eco-kettles , and they are not alone. The Guardian tells us that a controversy has been brewing in England over comments made by Richard Gillies—the director of retailer Marks & Spencer’s “Plan A” green initiative —about a “bug-ugly” eco-kettle that he had given up using. The trouble was,… Read the full story on TreeHugger
