Lambert didn’t just divorce fellow country star Blake Shelton a few months ago, she spent this week hearing all about rumors that Shelton is now dating pop icon and The Voice co-star Gwen Stefani. Then, mere hours before the CMAs aired live from Nashville, Stefani confirmed she is boning Shelton , Lambert’s famous ex-husband. Who, of course, happened to be in attendance at the event. Awkward much?!? But Lambert handled the situation like a professional, first putting on an outstanding performance of her new single “Bathroom Sink” and then being called on stage to accept the aforementioned award. “Man, I appreciate it. I needed a bright spot this year, so thank you,” the artist said in her acceptance speech, making a clear reference to her divorce. Mentioning another powerhouse performance from an unlikely duo earlier in the evening, Lambert then added in conclusion: “I love country music fans, and I’m just gonna keep it short, but Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton, thank you very much. I’m gonna go home and practice. “Thank y’all very much, I love y’all.” Lambert defeated such major stars as Carrie Underwood and Kacey Musgraves to take home Best Female Vocalist here in 2015. Yes, she opens up to that magazine about Lamar Odom, about her past with the former basketball star and her future as he looks to recover from a significant health scare. The 19-year old jumped on Instagram early Wednesday to call out the publication for running an edited picture of her inside its cover this month. “Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated,” Zendaya wrote, posting side-by-side comparisons of the two images. The one on the right, above, is the original version; the one on the left has been Photoshopped. “These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have,” Zendaya added. “Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love.” The magazine actually replied to Zendaya’s criticism and removed the pictures, prompting Coleman to write in response: “Thank you @modelistemagazine for pulling down the images and fixing this retouch issue.” Zendaya, of course, found herself at the center of another fashion-related scandal back when she wore her hair in braids on the Academy Awards red carpet… and Giuliana Rancic took issue with the look .
Over a decade later, Chris Rock is ready to run it back. The comedian and actor has confirmed that he’ll host the 2016 Academy Awards. “I’m so glad to be hosting the Oscars,” the 50-year-old, who also emceed the 2005 ceremony, said in a simple statement. “It’s great to be back.” Added David Hill & Reginald Hudlin, who will produce the event: “Chris Rock is truly the MVP of the entertainment industry. Comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, documentarian – he’s done it all. “He’s going to be a phenomenal Oscar host!” The 2016 Academy Awards will air on February 28 from Los Angeles. Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 10 Episode 16 told the story of Caitlyn’s transition from the Kardashians’ perspective, and it was not pretty. Earlier this year, E! aired a two-part special, entitled “About Bruce,” that focused on Caitlyn’s kids reacting to their stepfather making this life change. E! also aired an entire eight-episode series, I Am Cait . Yet Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 10 Episode 16 continued to explore this issue, and in less glowing terms than the aforementioned TV. Kim, at one point was impressed with Caitlyn’s boobs . That was about it for the praise, though, especially when it came to the Vanity Fair article that served as the former Bruce Jenner’s coming out party. Kris recalled to Kourtney that Caitlyn promised to “set the record straight” after saying some things in her Diane Sawyer interview that upset her. Well, Kim called her with a very different take: “All Caitlyn can talk about is that my mom mistreated her and was awful and all these really rude things, when there’s no reason to bash my mom.” Kris was just as pissed off as her daughter, too: “Bruce came over the day before he was going to do that article. We had a great life, a great marriage … He can go f–k himself. While the family squabbled over how close she should be from her ex at this point, we learn that his closest friend Jamie Singouthai died . Jamie, the best man at their ’09 wedding, passed away unexpectedly; Lamar’s good friend Bobby Heyward died as well over the summer. After the sad news, Kim relented, backing off her hard line stance and saying that she would be supportive of her sister no matter what.
