Lindsay Lohan Has ‘Real Talent,’ ‘Canyons’ Producer Says

‘What’s kind of lost in a lot of the Lindsay discussions is the fact that Lindsay is a very talented actress,’ Braxton Pope tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Lindsay Lohan Photo: Lindsay Lohan is in the midst of filming her Elizabeth Taylor biopic for Lifetime, “Liz & Dick,” and then she’s expected to begin work on her next film, the sexy, L.A.-based drama “The Canyons.” While her casting isn’t set in stone just yet, the film’s producer said it’s certainly on the right track. “She wants to do it. We want her to do it. I would just say we have not worked out the specifics of her deal yet,” Braxton Pope told MTV News. “Her participation in ‘Liz & Dick,’ I would just say we’re very aware of. We told her in the first meeting that we would be in touch with the producer of ‘Liz & Dick’ to see how that shoot was going and to get intel. And she gave us all that information, so she was very comfortable with us reaching out and getting that information, and that was how we decided to proceed.” With production expected to begin early next month, Pope is aware of the outside perceptions of Lohan and he and his team — consisting of screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis and director Paul Schrader — are more focused on her ability as an actor than her tabloid drama. “What’s kind of lost in a lot of the Lindsay discussions is the fact that Lindsay is a very talented actress,” he said. “She’s very charismatic and she has a lot of acting skills. So her lifestyle and some of the things that she’s gone through have tended to kind of overwhelm the fact, but Lindsay has kind of real talent. So for this part, we felt that she was really the right actor for a host of different reasons.” While they had been eyeing Lohan for a different role, she expressed interest in the female lead, and Pope said her enthusiasm for the part “resonated with us. … With Lindsay we felt she was the best actress for that role.” The role will not only remind fans of Lohan’s skills as an actress, but also introduce moviegoers to James Deen, as he transitions out of the world of adult films. “I’ve met with James many times, and I feel like I have a good sense of who and what he is. We mentioned, obviously, James to Lindsay, and that wasn’t an issue for her,” he explained, noting that “we have not put them together yet” and he’s interested to see what their chemistry will be like, since they are not only the film’s leads, but also play lovers. “He’s a very interesting guy. … He’s entering the mainstream, and this is the biggest step in that direction,” Pope added. “So he’s definitely excited, and he is preparing very diligently for the role. And he’s taken it very seriously. We’ve been pleased with everything about his approach to the project, for sure. He’s always very natural, and the guy was extremely prepared. It was very smooth.” According to a poster for the film, the tagline is “It’s not ‘The Hills,’ ” a reference to the popular MTV reality show that followed the glamorous lives of Lauren Conrad and her pals. This is expected to be a grittier take on young people and their struggles in Hollywood. Deen’s Christian is a “trust fund kid, power player and major manipulator, who is a film producer that enjoys filming his own three-way sex sessions.” Meanwhile, Lohan’s ex-model character, Tara, is his girlfriend who “has sold her pride for the material comforts Christian can provide.” Three other roles remain uncast: bartender and wannabe actor Ryan, Ryan’s employee and fellow actor Gina, and former actress/yoga instructor Lindsay, who is carrying on an affair with Christian. Pope said casting decisions for those roles should be made in the next week. Related Photos The Highs And Lows Of Lindsay Lohan Related Artists Lindsay Lohan

Mila Kunis Teases New Short Film With James Franco

‘I will not talk about it until it is shown, because it might beat ‘The Hills,’ ‘ she tells MTV News of previous Funny or Die collaboration. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Mila Kunis attends CinemaCon 2012 Photo: Getty Images Despite the fact that the stars of Sam Raimi ‘s buzz-worthy upcoming movie “Oz: The Great and Powerful” aren’t allowed to offer up any specifics about their involvement in the film, we’ve managed to glean a few positive yet mysterious comments here and there. Such was the case during a recent run-in with the lovely and talented Mila Kunis at CinemaCon, where we learned a little more about her character’s motivations, as well as some teasers about a short-film project Kunis made with her co-star James Franco that she promised will be better than their Funny or Die parody of “The Hills.” “Sam Raimi [directed the movie]. What else do you need?” Kunis said when asked what else fans should know about the return to Oz. “[Also] James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz,” she added. “That’s all you need.” And what about her character, Theodora? Is she good and then evil? A nice blend? Who is she? “She’s a good person who gets her heart broken,” Kunis said. “What happens to young ladies when their heart gets broken?” Josh Horowitz answered that they turn into horrible evil witches. “You said it, not me,” Kunis said with a smile. We then brought up her re-teaming with Franco and asked whether they had any downtime during “Oz” to shoot another brilliant short film,

Tori Praver’s Sneaky Nipple in Marie Claire Argentina of the Day

Tori Praver is some body painted SI model who was born in 1986….and was in SI Swimsuit from 2007 – 2009….and who is now not in SI because she barely matters…since there are thousands of models who are signed and hot girls who wish they were models willing to do anything for the opportunity to be in that issue that they’d even do it for free…some would probably ever pay SI to get in it…cuz that’s just how pathetic some vain girls are….. Well apparently she’s still a model, in case you were the one guy who missed seeing her in magazines for those two years over 3 years ago…..and more importantly….like all bitches trying to get noticed….or at least reinvent some stagnant career….she’s showing nipple…sure she’s sneaking it through her shirt…keeping it cammoflaged…it is still a fucking nipple and that’s what matters….in my nipple obsessed life that is pretty pathetic across the board.

Stephanie Pratt Useless but in a Bikini of the Day

Stephanie Pratt is one of those sloppy skinny girls you call a slim fat…sure she is luckier than most american pigs who break IKEA furniture by sitting on it as the shit isn’t re-inforced for their kind….those dainty Swedes…..But she sure as hell isn’t fit or tight bodied…which leads me to naturally assume she fucking sucks in bed….you know all weak and loose skinned….laying on your dick cuz she’s out of breath unable to finish the task at hand like some kind of useless pile of bones and flab…which is appropriate because based on her career that is really only one line item and that line item is being on The Hills or as I like to call it the less socially relevant and less culturally rich version of Jersey Shore for white boring people….it’s pretty clear that’s accurate…. Is Lauren Conrad Game For ‘Hills’ Reunion?

‘I did [reality TV] for as long as I could, then I kind of reclaimed my own life,’ ‘Fame Game’ author tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Lauren Conrad Photo: MTV News Lauren Conrad appeared on two of MTV’s biggest reality shows: “Laguna Beach” and, later, “The Hills.” While she introduced herself to the world on “Laguna,” it was her starring role on “The Hills” that helped launch her from small-screen starlet to full-on star and mogul. Conrad left “Hills” in 2009 to make room for former “Laguna” frenemy Kristin Cavallari to lead the charge on the show, but did return in 2010 to say goodbye to the series at the show’s finale event . With several years behind her, MTV News wondered whether she would ever consider a one-off reunion special. “I don’t know, because I catch up [with] anyone I still talk to from the show. I get to see [them] regularly anyway,” Conrad explained while in New York City on a book tour for her latest piece of fiction, “The Fame Game.” “So, that just happens on a Friday night, but it’s a game night at my apartment, which is so much more fun [than a reunion special].” Conrad also shared that any reality TV, at this moment, isn’t on her agenda. Though she had been in talks to star in a new MTV series in 2010 that would focus more on her work life, it never came together. These days, she’s focused on her work as a writer and fashion designer. “Not looking to at the moment,” she said. “I’m just really happy with where I left off. I think if you’re going to do a reality show, you have this obligation to share your life with people, and I did it for as long as I could, then I kind of reclaimed my own life. So, no plans to right now, but you never say never, and you always listen to ideas.” Would you like to see Lauren Conrad return to reality TV? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

The Three Stooges Couldn’t Afford Pauly D

If cynicism were music, The Three Stooges would be a big brass band: “We didn’t have a huge budget. I think Pauly wanted too much money which was too bad because he’s also from Rhode Island. There were budgetary issues, but we did get enough of them to make our point. The Jersey Shore cast is one of the things that puts The Three Stooges in the modern world. The movie’s an hour and a half long and we split the Stooges up, because we didn’t want them hitting each other the whole time. Moe gets a part on a reality show, and that changed over the years. Originally, it was Queer Eye For The Straight Guy , then The Hills . When it came time to make the movie, Jersey Shore was the biggest thing going and so we put him on that.” [ Deadline ]
