Heidi Montag to Lauren Conrad: I Miss You!

Heidi Montag wants to get in touch with her inner nature girl again. She also longs for her old BFF back, and nostalgically watches repeats of The Hills . The plastic princess, who was inexplicably booted off the show in its final season and recently filed for divorce from Spencer Pratt, is lost these days. Her family and what few friends she has left can’t get in touch with her, and she’s been oddly absent from her beloved celebrity sites’ photo galleries. What’s she been up to? “Watching old Hills [episodes],” the ‘Tag Tweeted at two of her former MTV co-stars. “I miss you @AudrinaPatridge and most of all @laurenconrad.” Neither Audrina Patridge nor Lauren Conrad responded to the Tweets. LC & HEIDI : Many moons and plastic surgeries ago . Former roommates and best friends, Heidi Montag and Conrad’s relationship famously cooled thanks to controlling boyfriend-turned husband Pratt. LC accused the gruesome twosome of leaking a rumor about a sex tape starring herself and Jason Wahler. When Heidi Montag attempted to mend fences with her, Conrad brushed her off, quipping, “I want to forgive you – and forget you.” Might they rekindle their friendship now that he’s out of the picture? We wouldn’t count on it, but separating from King Spencer can only help the cause. Citing irreconcilable differences, Montag filed for divorce from the mountain man in Santa Monica, Calif. Spencer Pratt didn’t seem too sad, saying: “Well, some say if you can’t handle the heat get out of the kitchen. Heidi couldn’t handle King Spencer’s fame so she got out of the marriage.” NOTE : Follow THG on Twitter ! We’ll actually Tweet back!

Fashion Face-Off: Kristin Cavallari vs. Stephanie Pratt

The Hills stars Kristin Cavallari and Stephanie Pratt won’t win a lot of fashion awards for these. If there even are any fashion awards. That’s unclear. In any case, where do we even begin? At the Salt premiere in Hollywood, Kristin debuted a really short dress with spiked shoulder pads. Yeah. Wow. Stephanie, meanwhile, attended the premiere of The Extra Man in New York wearing the drapes from a house with 1970s decor. Very chic … we guess. Who do you think looked less bad? Vote below! Who’s got the better look?

Audrina Patridge: The New Bongo Girl

The Hills may be over, but you can still see plenty of Audrina Patridge as the new face/body of the Fall 2010 line from Bongo jeans. It’s a prestigious honor. Young celebs such as Kristin Cavallari and Kim Kardashian have previously modeled the product, for which Audrina recently posed at Smashbox Studios in NYC. “I am thrilled to be working with Bongo!” the 25-year-old said. “Generations of women, including my mom and sisters, have loved this iconic brand, and it’s exciting to be a part of something that is so classically cool, American.” Bongo’s new line will be available at Sears and Kmart stores beginning in September. Check out the Audrina Patridge pictures below for a preview … although for a jeans campaign, there appears to be a strong emphasis on cleavage …

Too Short Arrested After Idaho Nightclub Fight

Rapper charged with three counts of misdemeanor battery after a tussle with security. By Jayson Rodriguez Too Short Photo: Boise Police Department Bay Area rapper Too Short was arrested and charged with three counts of misdemeanor battery Thursday morning (July 15) stemming from an incident in an Idaho nightclub. According to police records, the 44-year-old MC (real name: Todd Shaw) was released after posting bail and is scheduled to return to court August 4. Another man was also charged in the incident, which the Idaho Statesman is reporting as a fight with security workers who attempted to stop the rapper and his associate from inviting underage women to the backstage area. Short performed at the Boise Knitting Factory on Wednesday night as part of a lineup that also included E-40 and Mack 10. After his performance, the rapper and his associate, who was charged with two counts of battery, reportedly were involved in a tussle with club security, eyewitnesses told police after the gentlemen warned Too Short about his behavior. ‘The Hills’ Finale ‘Acknowledged’ It’s Hollywood Setting, Creator Says

‘It’s a nod to how much work goes into making it feel like a scripted show,’ Adam DiVello explains to MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Brody Jenner in the finale of “The Hills” Photo: MTV After six seasons, marked by streams of mascara-stained tears and countless barbecues, “The Hills” finally bowed for good on Tuesday. But instead of playing it straight, the last few moments of the series cleverly addressed years of rumors about the reality show’s, well, realness, by panning out to reveal that Kristin’s goodbye with Brody had been filmed on a Hollywood backlot. And although some “Hills” fans have taken issue with the surreal ending, creator Adam DiVello said he was just going for a “wink.” “We had joked early on about different ways to do kind of a wink to whether it was real or not,” DiVello admitted to MTV News. “There were a lot of ideas thrown around, from even Lauren waking up and this whole thing was a dream, which would have been a little ‘Newhart,’ ” he revealed. “We had come up with a bunch of ideas, and then I had this idea to focus it on the Hollywood sign and really just kind of incorporate Hollywood into the ending of it. Our show’s one that’s based in Hollywood, and these kids live, work and play here and never, never really kind of acknowledged in the series that Hollywood is where shows are made.” Of course, that final shot had some fans wondering if it was confirmation from the show itself that what they’d been watching all these years was fiction. But DiVello argued that it confirms the opposite. “It’s a nod to how much work goes into making it feel like a scripted show,” he said. “When we set out to make the show, it was a reality show without the conventions of a reality show. When we showed up to Paramount that day we kind of walked Brody through it, and he was shocked,” DiVello recalled of shooting the finale. “I believe Kristin kind of started to cry a little bit. I think she was surprised when she showed up as well. We had a great time. [Viewers wondered,] ‘Were these things shot on soundstages or were they shot in their apartments?’ But I think everyone knows it was a reality show, obviously. So would he change anything about that ending? “I think it was great. I think we did tie up some stories with the cast and I think, ultimately, not only myself, but the people that work on my team and I think the network and I think America wants to see the kids happy,” he said. “And I think it showed that. You always want to leave the audience wondering what happens next. At the end of the day we were telling stories. I hope people leave it [as] a fun, six-season trip to California,” he said of the “Hills” legacy. “I hope they leave with fond memories of it. We make this show for the fans.” Do you feel any differently about “The Hills” finale having heard the show creator’s assessment. Share your thoughts in the comments. Brody Jenner, Avril Lavigne to Star on Reality Show?

Having just been a part of scripted history in the climactic scene on Tuesday’s series finale of The Hills, is Brody Jenner already planning a return to reality TV? In Touch Weekly is reporting that Brody, who’s been on like 13 shows already, is actively pitching a new show for himself and Avril Lavigne – his real girlfriend. That stuff with Kristin Cavallari was all fake. According to insiders, Avril isn’t down with the idea, so Brody has been “begging” her to consider it. Supposedly, she’s “so in love with him” she might agree . BEING BRAVRIL : Will Jenner and Lavigne get their own show? What would they call it, and would anyone watch it? [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline.com] Maybe that’s why he got that tattoo . Now she has to do it, right? Look at the strength of commitment he showed to their relationship … reciprocate, already! Basically, it sounds she doesn’t want to say no – but she REALLY doesn’t want to do it either. Bet you she caves, though. The women of Hollywood usually do. Can you blame them? It’s Brody Jenner .

‘Inception’ Director Christopher Nolan Reveals His ‘Star Wars’ Inspiration

‘I want to try and give somebody in the audience the experience I had watching that film,’ he tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Leonardo DiCaprio in “Inception” Photo: Warner Bros. The demented memory flipbook that is “Memento,” the noir-ish freakery of Gotham City in “The Dark Knight,” the intricately woven, epically scaled “Inception” — all this can be traced back to a formative experience director Christopher Nolan had at the cinema in 1977. Seven years old at the time, Nolan took in a screening of “Star Wars.” Nothing was ever the same. “That completely changed movies for me,” he told MTV News. “It changed everything, really.” Nolan had never seen a film that was so, well, intricately woven and epically scaled as George Lucas’ space odyssey. “It created a world that lived on in your mind after you saw the film and seemed to have this limitless potential,” he said. And, as Nolan explains it over three decades later, he’s made a career out of trying to instill a similar sense of wonderment for ticket buyers. “I think, for me, my whole career in making films, really every time I set out to make a film, I want to try and give somebody in the audience the experience I had watching that film, where it really felt like anything was possible in that world,” he said. “That’s a really extraordinary experience to have as a moviegoer.” Nolan started out small, shooting “Following” on a shoestring budget with a bunch of friends. He graduated to “Memento,” gaining some financial backing and the talents of professional actors. Eventually, Warner Bros. handed him the task of resurrecting the dormant “Batman” franchise. After delivering two blockbuster takes on the Caped Crusader, the studio basically gave Nolan a pile of cash and carte blanche to make a movie he’d been dreaming about for 10 years: “Inception.” As with all his earlier films, Nolan set out to deliver an experience that would create a world that lived on in the minds of moviegoers, that seemed to have limitless potential. “I think that’s the highest aspiration of the Hollywood blockbuster,” he said. Check out everything we’ve got on “Inception.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
