LC’s future projects include book tour, expanding clothing line, she says at ‘Hills’ finale afterparty. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Tim Kash Lauren Conrad and Tim Kash Photo: MTV News Lauren Conrad is pretty busy these days , so fans were pleasantly surprised to see LC take some time out of her busy schedule to stop by the series finale aftershow for “The Hills” on Tuesday night. And while the appearance was short, it was also very sweet. As she told MTV News backstage, as soon as she was done with her final “Hills” appearance she was heading right back to work on her many, many projects. “I finished two more [books]. I have a double book tour October 5, so I’ll go around the country for I did another novel [“Sugar and Spice”] and I did a style guide [“Lauren Conrad Style”], which is really great,” she shared. “And I’ve been spending a lot of time with Kohl’s on my clothing line, which is expanding.” She added that it’s all her hard work that makes her happy these days. “I’ve been keeping busy and I get to do all these things that I love, so it’s been really great,” she said. She’s already got a lot on her plate, but LC admits there’s another big task she’d really like to try. “The only other thing I’d love to do right now is producing — I’m just kind of looking for the perfect project because I think the first thing I do I really have to love, so I want to wait until I really have enough time to commit to a series.” Finally, looking back on her time on the show, did she learn any lessons that apply to her life now? She laughed, “I didn’t learn a thing! I’m the same as I went in. I learned not to take yourself seriously!” What are you looking forward to seeing from LC next? Tell us in the comments! Instead of reviving the brainless cast of The Hills for another disappointing season , MTV has decided to go highbrow… by resurrecting Beavis and Butt-head . As obnoxious as the 90s duo was (and will no doubt continue to be), I think we can all agree that the network’s programming decision is a positive one. Because let’s face it: Beavis and Butt-head to The Hills is like comparing Masterpiece Theatre to… The Hills .

After six seasons of drama, The Hills ended its run on MTV in appropriate fashion, with cameras panning back to expose just how manufactured that drama is. More on that in a little bit. Supposedly, Kristin Cavallari is moving to Europe, because she “needs a change.” Note: she never went to Europe, and she never pined for Brody Jenner. At all. Elsewhere, Lo and Scott move in together, Audrina decided to get a new house by the beach, and Stephanie is kinda dating that guy Josh now, if anyone cares. Nowhere to be found, except dressed like an old man outside the finale party? Spencer Pratt. Here’s THG’s recap of Tuesday’s series finale of The Hills … FINAL FOUR: The female stars of The Hills at the series finale party. Stephanie Pratt tells the girls she is happy with her life, while Audrina Patridge says she’s still trying to figure hers out. When is she NOT trying to do that? Minus 4 . Brody plays golf with the guys and says he didn’t realize things with Kristin would take the turn they did. Yeah, the scripts are sometimes pretty surprising. Plus 5 . Kristin tells Stacie about Brody’s girlfriend and admits she’s “bummed.” We are too. They won’t even mention Avril Lavigne by name, and he can do better. Minus 3 . Lo and Scott move in together. Cute. Plus 6 , despite the obvious fact they’re just looking to kill time with Stephanie and Lo, bit players for much of the series. “Bored” Kristin tells Brody she’s moving to Europe (LOL) for the summer or maybe longer (ROTFL). Naturally, she’s having a big goodbye bash with cameras! Plus 8 . Not even an acknowledgment of Spencer Pratt and/or Heidi Montag , Hills? Where did they even go? Did Adam DiVello have Heidi bumped off? We worry. Minus 20 . HAVE YOU SEEN THIS PERSON? If so, contact local authorities . Brody finally arrives and says he didn’t understand her feelings. Kristin is tearful as Brody says he’ll miss her. “Don’t leave,” he pleads. She wipes a tear away from his supposedly sad face and hugs him. Kristin even says this is a crock . Minus 34 . Audrina isn’t going to Kristin’s because she wants to move away from the “scene” and avoid bumping into Justin-Bobby. We’d steer clear of the stench too. Plus 7 . Scott to Lo, who he says he would marry right now: “It takes a while to find the right person and you are perfect.” Minus 11 . Just propose if you’re serious, dude. As Kristin speeds off, cameras focus on Brody with the Hollywood sign behind him … but it was only a painting, later revealed to show the camera crew and staff. Then the cameras stop rolling, Kristin gets out of the limo and hugs Brody, despite the bull$h!t regarding her leaving. What a giant Eff You to fans. Plus 100 . FINALE TOTAL: +54 . ‘I’m really excited that she’s coming back,’ Lo tells MTV News of LC’s return to ‘Hills’ aftershow. By Jocelyn Vena Lo Bosworth Photo: Matt Elias/ MTV News Lauren Conrad is set to make her return to “The Hills” when she joins her former castmates on the live aftershow, airing Tuesday (July 13), following the much-anticipated series finale. Up until her exit, viewers had spent five seasons watching as LC tried to figure out love and life in Los Angeles. Once she left, her onetime “Laguna Beach” co-star Kristin Cavallari stepped in, mixing up the lives of the “Hills” regulars. But Lo Bosworth is excited to see LC reclaim what she believe is her rightful territory. “I’m really excited. I am of the belief that it is Lauren Conrad’s show [and] that she deserves to go out with all the glory, so I’m really excited that she’s coming back,” Bosworth told MTV News. But Lo also admitted that season six has felt different without her housemate LC. “It’s been tough, but this past season a lot really has happened, so in terms of story I feel it has been a really good season,” Lo added. “It’s always different when somebody leaves, but I think we have done the best that we can.” While fans are no doubt amped that Lauren will be back for Tuesday night’s “The Hills Live: A Hollywood Ending” aftershow, Bosworth promised some awesome stuff awaits those who watch the finale. “I have to say that it is going to end so magnificently, so spectacularly, in such a way that everybody who’s ever watched the show will want it to end,” she teased. “I can’t say anymore secrets; I feel I’m about to spill the beans.” So will Bosworth shed a tear or two when the show ends for good? “You know I’m not a very emotional girl. I tend to keep the tears inside, but Tuesday is really, we’re really closing a door on a pretty big chapter in our lives,” she said. “Moving forward we’re really excited, but our life is never going to be exactly this ever again, so that’s sad. Minaj recently revealed via Twitter that not only does she watch the show — which signs off on Tuesday (July 13) — but she has strong opinions about the goings-on of the cast. Apparently, the MC has been keeping up with the antics of Audrina’s (and Kristin’s) on-and-off boy toy, Justin “Bobby” Brescia. When a fan pressed Minaj on Twitter about whether she watches “The Hills,” the star tweeted , “Yes! I was SO mad wen Justin bobby cut his hair!” Her taste in TV isn’t the only thing the star has revealed on the social-networking website. Last week, the Young Money MC announced the release date of her hotly anticipated debut album on Twitter. “Yes. It’s time. November 23rd,” the star tweeted Thursday. When MTV News caught up with the “Your Love” rapper on the set of the video for her #1 track , Minaj called the material she was working on with producer Swizz Beatz “magical” and was generally amped about the album. “When people hear the album, they’re going to get to know Onika [her birth name is Onika Maraj]. And no one knows Onika,” Minaj said. “I really didn’t think I would be this excited about the songs that I’m coming up with. Nicki Minaj Reveals That She’s A ‘Hills’ Fan
Some plan to stay on TV, while others have behind-the-scenes projects in the works. Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port both worked at Teen Vogue and People’s Revolution, where they were joined (for a short time) by Stephanie Pratt. Lo Bosworth works at Smashbox. Audrina Patridge let us all in on what it’s like to work at Epic Records. Heidi Montag even tried her hand at event planning when she worked at Bolthouse Entertainment. But now that the show is ending on Tuesday (July 13), how will we get our fix of our favorite “Hills” stars? Well, we have the lowdown on the next big moves the cast plans to make. Lo Bosworth, who has hinted at wanting to get into TV hosting, has launched her own lifestyle website, TheLoDown.com, where she’ll be on hand to give out advice on everything from fashion to boys. She’s also the face of Nivea’s Goodbye Cellulite Challenge. Kristin Cavallari is looking to continue her career in television — but behind the lens. “Going back to ‘The Hills,’ I’ve enjoyed seeing the behind-the-scenes and how everything gets put together, the TV magic,” she said. “So I want to start producing. I’ve been pitching some shows and talking to some people about that. So, hopefully, right away, I can get one of those running, and then I want to keep acting. I would like that. I like being in charge and calling the shots.” Audrina Patridge might land her own reality show, and the Bongo model admitted that a break was foremost on her mind. “I plan on taking a vacation,” she said. “I really want to go to Europe and just travel and hang out with my friends and family down in Orange County. But other than that, I’m still going to castings and still going to auditions for acting, definitely going to continue pushing for that. I would love to do a [period] piece, like, medieval. I love ‘The Tudors’ and I love ‘Troy’ and those types of movies. So that’s my dream.” While Spencer Pratt said he wanted to go back to school , he’s also been tweeting nonstop about his new website, the aptly titled KingSpencer.com , where he covers, ironically, celebrity news. His estranged wife, Heidi Montag , has also recently launched her own website , where she’s shared several designs for a new fashion line she is working on.
