‘The Hills’ Will Go ‘Out With A Bang,’ Audrina Promises

‘I wanted to come on and get people talking,’ her co-star Kristin tells MTV News before series finale airs Tuesday night. By Jocelyn Vena Audrina Patridge Photo: MTV So much drama has unfolded over six seasons of “The Hills.” In the last season alone, viewers saw Heidi Montag reveal her drastic plastic surgery makeover, Spencer Pratt begin to unravel and watched in surprise as Kristin Cavallari put herself out there, only to be rejected by ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner. But “Hills” castmate Audrina Patridge says fans should only expect more drama when the series’ farewell episode airs Tuesday night (July 13). “It’s our last season, so we’re going out with a bang,” Audrina told MTV News. And while friendship has been the focus of the reality-TV series, which premiered in May 2006, Kristin and Audrina admit that it’s the over-the-top mischief they’ve loved most about the show. And if anyone knows about trouble, it’s Cavallari, who first turned up halfway through season five, but has since made the sixth and final season all her own. “I was really nervous coming onto ‘The Hills,’ ” Kristin confessed. “I was the new girl. Going to Heidi and Spencer’s wedding, no one knew I was coming. But it ended up being pretty easy.” Cavallari also acknowledged that her now-infamous fight with Audrina at a “welcome back” party for Speidi may have sealed her fate as a “Hills” legend. “That was the whole point. I wanted to come on and get people talking,” Kristin said. “I knew that it was gonna stir things up. … I had no idea certain things, like that fight, would have such an impact.” As for one of her more memorable lines from that nasty fight — “I’m sorry I walked up here and you guys came at me like piranhas” — the “Hills” star says it was TV gold. “That was pretty good. It came out of nowhere,” she laughed. “I was proud of that one.” Audrina, on the other hand, couldn’t nail down one specific moment she’d remember most. There were simply too many to choose from over six seasons, she told us back in April. “There’s so many favorite moments,” Patridge said. “It’s funny because watching the show with the music, it makes it so emotional. So there’s been a lot of moments, fun moments, like going on vacation and just having fun with each other. There’s been so many dramatic moments and fights and tears and ups-and-downs of friendships and relationships, so really watching those — I mean, at the finale, we are probably all going to start crying. It is going to be a sad, sad moment.” What are your favorites “Hills” moments? Tell us in the comments! Jacqueline Laurita on The Real Housewives of New Jersey: We Are a Disgrace!

Love and light. Stay in the positive, bitch! – Ashley Holmes to Danielle Staub Last night, Bravo offered up an unbeWEAVEable episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey . The utter insanity was highlighted by a fight between Danielle Staub and Tersea Giudice, culminating in Ashley Holmes – the 19-year old daughter of Jacqueline Laurita – yanking out Staub’s hair extension. The writers of this installment deserve an Emmy, though Holmes posted this week on her Facebook page yesterday: “YIKES… not one of my finest moments in life.” Police were called to the scene of the chaos, which was filmed months ago. Therefore, Laurita has had time to reflect on the events and Tweeted late last week: “It’s like at train-wreck you can’t look away from… We are a disgrace! It’s bad. Shameful but… a little bit humorous, dare I say, in parts. Hope we can still be friends. Lol!” Friends?!? Bravo likely just gave you all raises and lifetime contracts. Go out and celebrate! We know where you can find a good coke whore for the occasion…

Kristin Cavallari: The Hills is Basically All Fake

Say it ain’t so … even though we already basically knew! Kristin Cavallari confesses that the relationships you see on The Hills are – gasp – not exactly real. At all. “Nothing you see on TV is real,” the 23-year-old tells People. “Fans need to understand that it’s all entertainment,” she adds. “It’s all in fun. I would never actually put my close friends or a real relationship on a show.” Right … why would a reality show be at all real. Obviously. Gotta love throwing your employer under the bus so blatantly. LeBron James would be proud. That’s basically what’s going on here. After almost a whole season in which Kristin has pined longingly for her ex Brody Jenner, she confesses that just maybe, that wasn’t completely genuine. FAKING IT : Kristin does with all the guys. On The Hills, that is . Gee, you’re kidding. Maybe we would be caught more off guard if we didn’t know he was dating Avril Lavigne and she was with cameraman Miguel Medina . There was also the whole Justin-Bobby thing from last season, which we were expected to buy, as if she would ever hang out with that loser in real life. But we digress. It was the “lightheartedness” that drew her back to reality TV after Laguna Beach , she says: “I was hurt by the way I was portrayed on Laguna Beach .” “So I took a break from that kind of stuff … But when I decided to come back and do The Hills, I told myself that it’s just a job. It’s all work. It’s all fun.” Indeed. Just don’t take it the slightest bit seriously. She says she won’t dish further out of respect for fans: “I have such great fans, and I think a lot of them take the show seriously,” Kristin Cavallari says. “I don’t want to change their views,” the supposed vixen adds. “Besides, since I want to be a producer, I don’t want to give away any production secrets.” Producer of what? Cavallari has two reality shows in the works:“One will have similarities to The Hills, and one about fashion with some competition.” As far tonight’s The Hills series finale goes, it doesn’t sound like Cavallari has any regrets about her two-season stint on the long-running bogus MTV show. “I feel like we all ended on a high note, we all had a great time, and I plan to stay friends with pretty much everyone,” she says – including Lauren Conrad . “I just saw Lauren on Saturday at The Hills wrap party,” Cavallari says. “It was good to see her. When we see each other, we say hi and catch up a bit.”

Spencer Pratt to Crash The Hills Finale?

Spencer Pratt has been very … well, non-Spencer Pratt lately. Uncharacteristically absent from the spotlight, he hasn’t been seen in public in over a month, or on The Hills , where he and Heidi Montag were cut loose without any explanation from the show, which ends its six-season run tonight. Might he be planning a surprise – and unwelcome – public foray this evening? Implying he may crash The Hills finale party, he Tweeted on Tuesday: “Booking my room @Roosevelt Hotel Hollywood now that I have no place to live I think i should just move in there today (to) stay near the action.” No place to live? We know he looks like a homeless man, but is Spencer Pratt really out on the street? At least he’s comfortable as a mountain man … If Spencer Pratt crashes The Hills’ live post-finale bash, we hope he bursts on stage dressed like this. Fingers crossed. [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline.com] Wouldn’t you know it, the Hollywood Roosevelt is the site of tonight’s finale party, for which Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are not on the guest list. Kristin Cavallari, Brody Jenner and other stars will be on hand, along with the show’s two most famous alumnae, Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port. No Speidi, though, after clashes with Hills creator Adam DiVello on and off set led to an unceremonious, unexplained parting of ways with the show. Heidi’s also moving forward with plans to divorce him , supposedly. Cavallari calls the situation “sad,” and says as far as she knows, no one has spoken to either member of the duo since they last filmed together. “I’ve reached out to Heidi,” says Kristin, who fixed up Speidi. “I can’t get a hold of her because she changed her number. I’d love to talk to her.”

Audrina Patridge: Dating Corey Bohan (Again)?

Continuing to recycle the same handful of dudes on a rather prolific basis, Audrina Patridge is reportedly dating Corey Bohan again, according to reports. Hey, whatever works for a soon-to-be-unemployed reality TV star. She recently broke up with Ryan Cabrera , and was pretending to have all these feelings for Justin-Bobby for the fourth consecutive season on The Hills . But it’s Aussie BMX biker Corey who has won her heart. This minute. The two appeared together at Saturday series wrap party for The Hills , which goes off the air tonight, and according to insiders, were more than friendly! Audrina and Corey during one of their earlier stints. A close source confirms: “They are totally back together. They were so cute at the party . He had his arm around her and they both looked really happy.” Nice to see they’ve patched things up. Audrina split with Bohan last fall, but that’s all water under the bridge now: “They were sitting alone, whispering in each others’ ears and laughing a lot.” Certainly a step up from Justin-Bobby, but then again who isn’t? Hopefully they have fun before Audrina says she has to “focus on me” or some lame BS. Pencil that in for September-October.

‘The Hills’ Rolling Stone Cover: How Did It Come Together?

Show creator Adam DiVello explains how they got Heidi and Lauren in the same room, in a ‘Hills: Revealed’ outtake. By Jocelyn Vena Lauren Conrad Photo: MTV Back in May 2008, Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag had already had a major falling-out and were no longer on speaking terms. So when Rolling Stone called and wanted to put all the stars of “The Hills” on the cover of the magazine, the show’s producers knew it would take some work to get the onetime pals in the same room again to join Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge for the scantily clad photo shoot. “You know, MTV press called us up and they said that Rolling Stone is interested in doing a cover for ‘The Hills.’ So, of course, you know, it’s the best call you can get,” show creator Adam DiVello recalled in an outtake from “The Hills: Revealed.” “I mean, for me anyway, every cover to me is iconic. I love the magazine, and the thought of a show that I created getting on the cover of Rolling Stone to me was an end all, be all.” The cover came with one big caveat: “All four girls, bottom line, no ifs, ands or buts,” DiVello recalled. “When you’ve got Rolling Stone calling [and] they want your cast on the cover of the magazine, but two of your castmembers don’t want to be together in the same room — namely Lauren and Heidi — it seemed like it was never going to happen. I mean, there was a time when we thought, ‘This is not going to happen,’ because we were not going to get them together.” But it seemed like the magazine-cover gods were shining on them, and the shoot came together. “You get to the bottom of it and figure out how to make it happen,” DiVello said. “And luckily, we pulled it off.” Are you excited for “The Hills” season finale on Tuesday? Lo Bosworth Calls ‘The Hills’ Her ‘Home Movies’

‘I just hope that people look back on it fondly,’ ‘Hills’ star says of the show’s big farewell. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Lo Bosworth Photo: Matt Elias/ MTV News Since Lo Bosworth made the move from “Laguna Beach” to “The Hills” alongside her pal Lauren Conrad, she’s seen roommates come and go, she’s seen guys break hearts and ladies get their hearts broken, and she even gave Justin Bobby his infamous nickname . When “The Hills” comes to an end Tuesday at 10 p.m. on MTV, Bosworth thinks fans will remember it as a groundbreaking show, a sentiment echoed by Kristin Cavallari . “I hope that people remember it as a show that was a guilty pleasure, of course, but really sort of paved the way for reality TV in general,” she told MTV News. In fact, Bosworth said shows will come along and try to replace “The Hills,” but she thinks none will come close. “There was never a show like ‘The Hills’ before ‘The Hills,’ and so in that regard, it is something that is unique,” she said. “And I feel people will struggle to re-create exactly what we have been a part of. I’m happy about that.” This season, Bosworth let fans into her life a bit more, filming at her job at Smashbox as well as bringing her boyfriend, Scott, on camera. She said being on the show has definitely meant that her life memories have been preserved for all time. “You know, I just hope that people look back on it fondly in the end,” she explained. “It’s like home movies!” What will you remember “The Hills” for? What Will ‘The Hills’ Legacy Be? Kristin And Audrina Weigh In

Final episode of ‘The Hills’ airs Tuesday, July 13, at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. By Jocelyn Vena Audrina Patridge Photo: Christina Garibaldi/ MTV News Shortly after Lauren Conrad bid a fond farewell to “Laguna Beach,” she found herself looking for love, friends and a career on “The Hills.” Over the show’s six seasons, LC and her pals — including Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth and even onetime frienemy Kristin Cavallari — created lots of drama, shared laughs and tears and let fans into their lives to get an intimate look at what it’s like to be a 20-something in Los Angeles. But when “The Hills” wraps permanently on Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on MTV, what will it most be remembered for? “What people really responded to was how beautifully it was shot,” Cavallari told MTV News. “And the cameras they use [for the show] are the best, so it looks like a movie.” It looked so good that, when the show became a hit after its launch in May 2006, a number of other reality shows tried to capture that “Hills” magic. “I think they broke the mold for a lot of shows,” Cavallari said. “So I think they’ll be remembered as that [show].” Patridge, however, has a different theory about what the show’s legacy will be. “There’s been so many emotional scenes — and lots of blank stares,” she laughed about the show’s go-to dramatic close-up. “Lots of tears. Lots of fighting. Lots of gossip.” What do you think will be the legacy of “The Hills”? Tell us in the comments! The Hills Reality Check: Last-Minute Heartbreak and Fairytale Biker Romances

Last night’s penultimate episode of The Hills was bittersweet for viewers: they were just thirty minutes of screen time away from bidding Lo and Kristin adieu on next week’s finale, but first, they had sit through some clunky exposition that would set up next week’s series closer. Brody had to break Kristin’s heart without any concern for her feelings, Lo had to offer her boyfriend a relationship ultimatum, and Stephanie Pratt had to explain her DUI to another potential suitor that could be “like, the one.” Let’s sift through the second-to-last episode of The Hills ever (hopefully, unless MTV tries to revive it Beavis and Butt-Head -style in a decade) to find its most real and most fake moments.
