Rob Kardashian Calls Lamar Odom, Clears Twitter After Skipping KimYe Wedding The Pillsbury Kardashian doesn’t seem to be handling media attention or relating to his family members very well these days. After storming out of Europe just hours before the big KimYe nuptials, Brother Rob apparently reached out to Khloe Kardashian’s estranged husband, Lamar Odom. He and Lamar always referred to one another as brothers…perhaps he feels that he’ll get more support from Khloe’s ex than from his own family? MailOnline reports: As well as skipping his big sister’s wedding on Saturday, Rob Kardashian, 27, has now deleted all of his tweets on Twitter – some that included messages about Kim – and appears to be making a fresh start. A source has also revealed to MailOnline that Rob has reached out to none other than Lamar Odom, 34, the estranged husband of his sister Khloe, 29. ‘Rob really misses Lamar, he was like a big brother to him,’ we’re told. ‘Lamar really helped Rob with his problems when it came to wanting to lose weight, and they’ve never lost touch.’ However, what may be more shocking to his selfie-loving siblings, is that he is scaling back on social media. His official Twitter account now features just a handful of posts, and a new profile picture wearing a hoodie. The reality star’s confidence has been knocked since he started piling on the pounds and he is said to have felt so ‘insecure and depressed’ that he shunned his older sister’s star-studded ceremony at Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy, just to avoid being in the family photos. This report comes after the 27-year-old star – whose problems started following his bitter break-up with Rita Ora in 2013 – allegedly got into an argument with Kim over her lavish wedding extravaganza, which he branded ‘superficial bulls**t’. Things kicked off between the siblings during a lunch at designer Valentino’s Château de Wideville in Crespières, France, and Rob headed for the airport shortly afterwards. An insider told HollywoodLife.com: ‘Rob is not in a good place right now at all and his family should be very worried about him. He was embarrassed to go to the wedding in the first place because of his weight gain and to be ridiculed by Kim and basically rejected has put him over the edge.’ Poor Rob! What kind of cold-blooded things could Kim & crew have said to Rob to make him just decide to leave altogether? We’re inclined to say “at least he has someone to reach out to”…but with all Lamar’s reported issues, who knows if that connection will be of much help to him? Now, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services has officially opened an investigation into the incident. “The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department,” an insider told Radar. “Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.” The source revealed, “Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well. This won’t just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution.” Earlier this month Willow’s mom Jada lashed out at photographers at LAX when asked about the provocative picture. “Here’s the deal,” Jada said on May 7. “There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. Where have all the responsible adults gone?!? 7-Year-Old Caught With Grandmother’s Drugs In His Pocket At School Via NYDailyNews A Pennsylvania boy left grandma’s house with more than the usual sweets and goodies. The first-grader allegedly took his grandmother’s heroin to Caln Elementary School in Coatesville and gave packets to at least one of his classmates Friday. The 7-year-old had nine bags of heroin — all stamped with the words “Victoria’s Secret” — stuffed in his pockets, Philadelphia’s WPVI reported. He gave one to another student, whose mother found it hours later. The District Attorney’s Office said the boy’s grandma, who is 56 years old, is a known heroin user. She was arrested Sunday and faces endangering the welfare of children and drug charges. “Any exposure to heroin for a young child is likely to result in death,” District Attorney Tom Hogan said in a statement. “The defendant is lucky that she was not responsible for the death of her own grandson or somebody else’s child.” Can you imagine what parents would do to this lady if their child died from this isht?! Police said Bilinski-Munion lost track of her heroin when she was watching the boy at the family home Thursday night, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. The boy told police he pocketed the drugs when he found them on the floor. Study Shows Blacks Live Closest To Dangerous Chemical Plants A new study finds that the Americans who live near hazardous chemical industrial facilities are disproportionately African American or Latino, are more likely to live in poverty, and have lower incomes and education levels than the national average. Via HuffPo reports: These trends accelerate rapidly as one gets closer to the “fenceline” areas nearest dangerous chemical plants. More than 134 million people live in danger zones created by about 3,400 U.S. facilities that manufacture chemicals, produce paper, treat water, generate electric power, refine petroleum, or otherwise use or store hazardous materials. Millions more people work in or visit these areas. The study examined the people living close to chemical plants and found: The poverty rate for the fenceline zones is 50 percent higher than for the U.S. as a whole. Average household incomes in the fenceline zones are 22 percent below the national average. The percentage of adults in the fenceline zones with less than a high school degree is 46 percent greater than for the U.S. as a whole. The percentage of blacks in the fenceline zones is 75 percent greater than for the U.S. as a whole. The percentage of Latinos in the fenceline zones is 60 percent greater than for the U.S. as a whole. The study was produced by The Environmental Justice and Health Alliance for Chemical Policy Reform, a group of organization connected to the Coalition for Chemical Safety (in which I participant as an adviser to Greenpeace). In the wake of the April 2103 West, Texas, chemical plant explosion, which killed 15 people and injured 160 more, President Obama issued an executive order directing federal agencies to improve the safety of our industrial chemical plants. The Obama administration is now conducting a review of these issues. Today’s study defines this struggle: on the one hand, some of the wealthiest Americans, like the Koch brothers, pressing Washington to stop reforms to make chemical plants safer; and on the other, the poorest, least powerful people in society at greatest risk of harm or death from these facilities. Dr. Heavenly Says Black Women Need To See More Submissive Women On TV “Married to Medicine” newcomer Dr. Heavenly Kimes raised a few eyebrows on the show when she spoke about being submissive to her husband. However, the successful wife of a fellow doctor said she’s proud to show viewers how she respects her husband and what their happy marriage looks like… Via S2S Magazine reports: “I submit to my husband. I make my husband’s food. I take care of the household. I understand my role as a wife and a mother,” she told Sister 2 Sister. Heavenly’s professional colleague Dr. Simone Whitmore expressed her surprise when Heavenly addressed her husband as “daddy.” Simone joked that she’d only heard a woman use that term to describe her pimp…in the movie Hustle & Flow. “I thought that was cute,” said Heavenly who explained that her husband and son have the same name. “When my son was born, I would say ‘Damon’ and both of them would answer.” While some may consider her traditional beliefs on marriage antiquated, Heavenly said she thinks it’s good for viewers to see how she and her hubby relate to one another. “Black women need to see a woman who takes care of a household, who’s married with children and that’s not seen a whole lot,” said Heavenly who thinks she and her “Married to Medicine” co-stars are offering a positive portrayal of a demographic that’s often depicted negatively. “It should be applauded that all of us are educated,” she said. “We talk about business, money and relationships. I think that’s a part of the whole scope of life.” Though they’re all educated, professional women, they still have buttons that can be pushed. Although she’s new to the cast, Heavenly already bumped heads with Dr. Jackie Walters who lectured a full-figured pageant queen about her weight. “I think that Dr. Jackie is not a happy person. I’m not understanding why she has to belittle people that she does not know,” Heavenly wrote in her most recent BravoTV.com blog. “It did not come from a good place,” she said of Jackie’s concern for the plus-sized beauty. Heavenly said she was surprised by how differently she and her cast members see life, but she thinks they’ll be able to resolve conflicts without resorting to violence, like co-stars Mariah Huq and Toya Bush Harris did in season1.
