Shots Fired: Tyrese Slams RHOA And Says The Angry Housewives Negatively Influence Black Women

Is he right? Tyrese Says RHOA Negatively Influence Black Marriages Someone tell Kanye that Tyrese has ALL the answers. In a new YouTube video, the actor says that shows like RHOA negatively impact women and their relationships. “You’re at home and you’re looking at shows like The Housewives and all of these different reality TV shows and in your mind, this reality becomes reality. You find yourself arguing and having issues at your house and in your marriage and in your family that are directly influenced by the sh*t that you’re seeing on TV. You don’t even know it. “You as a woman you’re sitting there watching TV in which women complain and have issues and conflicts in their marriages that are filmed on a reality show. And they’re directly influencing issues and conflicts that are being created in your house. It’s not your f*cking marriage. Those are not your issues.” Do you think Tyrese is right? Do reality shows negatively influence marriages and relationships?? YT

Pitbull Goes ‘Back In Time’ On ‘Men In Black’ Video Set

Mr. Worldwide walks MTV News through his ‘Back in Time’ music video set. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Vanessa White Wolf Pitbull on the set of his music video for “Men In Black 3” Photo: MTV News Not only does the “Men in Black” movie franchise boast great acting and stunning visual effects, each of the three films features a pretty kicking soundtrack as well. For “Men in Black 3,” which hits theaters May 25, Pitbull contributes the lead single, “Back in Time.” MTV News caught up with Mr. Worldwide on the Los Angeles set of the “Back in Time” video and he gave us a pretty cool walk-through. “What we’re doing here, to sum it up in layman’s terms, is making history,” Pit said. “The concept is basically all about the movie. The slogan for the movie is ‘Back in Time.’ In the record I say, ‘In order to understand the future we have to go back in time.’ ” The clip not only features “MIB3” movie scenes, it was actually filmed on the movie set, blending the Miami rapper’s performance shots seamlessly into Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones’ action shots. “As far as the sets that you see right now, it’s just integrating and running parallel with everything that you see in the movie,” Pitbull explained. It was the Fresh Prince himself who recorded the theme songs — 1997’s “Men in Black” and 2002’s “Black Suits Comin’ ” — for the first two installments of the “MIB” trilogy. For the upcoming flick, Pit took over and used a sample of Mickey and Sylvia’s 1950s classic “Love Is Strange” for inspiration. Now that he’s clocked his first collaboration with Big Willie, Pitbull hopes that they can work together some more. “I would love to follow in Will Smith’s footsteps,” he said. “We’re working on the music for the movie, and hopefully, one day, we’ll work in a movie together.” What do you think of Pitbull’s “Back in Time” video? Gina Carano Ready To Get Her ‘Feet Wet’ In ‘Fast & Furious 6’

‘I’m going to go from the ‘Haywire’ crew to the ‘Fast 6′ crew, so I’m going to get a very broad range of knowledge,’ she tells MTV News. By Kevin P. Sullivan Gina Carano Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images Action fans rejoiced earlier this week when The Hollywood Reporter announced that MMA fighter-turned-actor Gina Carano was in talks to join the sixth “Fast & Furious” movie . It seemed like an inspired choice for the series that saw new life after “Fast Five” impressed last year. MTV News caught up with the breakout star while she was promoting the Blu-ray release of “Haywire,” and she spoke excitedly about the prospects of joining the action series. “We got a call about two weeks ago to do ‘The Fast and the Furious 6,’ ” Carano said. “We’re in negotiations for that, so if that goes through, that will be a really cool opportunity for me to get my feet wet on another big-budget film and be around all these different types of actors.” Carano seemed pleased at the idea of appealing to different bases of fans within the action genre, moving from the art-house appeal of “Haywire” to the mainstream explosions of “Fast & Furious.” “I’m going to go from the ‘Haywire’ crew to the ‘Fast 6’ crew, so I’m going to get a very broad range of knowledge as far as people go,” she said. “It’s like two different high school groups. You’ve got the very artistic, and then you’ve got the action group of athletes, like hard-core. Very different personalities there.” Carano is in negotiations to play a member of Dwayne Johnson’s team in the upcoming sequel directed by “Fast Five” helmer Justin Lin. As for whether Carano has begun sizing up her soon-to-be castmates, she said that’s not something she has to think about. “No, I’m pretty secure. I don’t need to size anybody up. I’m not worried about that. I’m worried about giving a good performance and understanding my character. That’s what I’ll focus on.” The actress wouldn’t say for sure how close she was to signing on, but remained optimistic about her prospects. “It will be really good for me, and I’m completely open to it,” Carano said. “If negotiations go good, we’ll probably start filming that.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Fast & Furious 6.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

On August 25, 2010 I got to meet my idol. It was a really nice…

On August 25, 2010 I got to meet my idol. It was a really nice day and I had tickets to go see Justin with my best friend Julia. We were so excited and we thought we were going to meet him because my mom’s friend knows his lighting manager but we weren’t sure. When we got to the Times Union Center we met him with the manager and he told us that he doesn’t know if he could get us in. We all had to pay $50 to get the tickets and meet & greet in order for him to  guaranty  us in. Well from our seats that were really bad, we ended up having 6th row, and got to meet Justin! When we were waiting in line to meet him, we were talking to a bunch of other girls that got to meet him! It was really nice to talk to all of these different Beliebers. My friend and I were about 7th in line and when Kenny opened the certain for us to walk in, we almost passed out. We saw Justin and he asked us how we were doing. We were chewing gum at the time and I guess that when we answered him, he smelt our breathe because he then asked us if we had any gum. I did not have a piece because I had given it to Julia (my friend) right before we met him and I felt so bad but I said no. Justin put his head down then told us to smile for the camera! He put his arms around both of us and said SMILE! It was an opportunity I will NEVER, forget. When we left the certain, me and my friend were freaking out. Everyone that was waiting in line at the venue saw us freaking out and realized that we had just met JUSTIN BIEBER. All me and Julia did was smell our shoulders cause they smelt just like Justin. Thank you Justin for an amazing night, and even though you weren’t feeling the greatest, you still did an amazing job. You taught me to follow my dreams and to never say never. I hope to see you again next year. The rest is here: On August 25, 2010 I got to meet my idol. It was a really nice…

Kelly Clarkson Describes Stronger As ‘Soulful’

Singer says influences for her upcoming album, due October 24, include Prince, Sheryl Crow and Radiohead. By Matt Elias Kelly Clarkson on the cover of Stronger Photo: RCA Records In her nearly decade-long career, Kelly Clarkson has kicked out an album almost every two years. But if you’re expecting something predictable from Clarkson’s fifth studio effort, Stronger (due October 24), you’re in for a surprise. While she’s not completely reinventing her sound, the former ” American Idol ” winner counts Prince, Sheryl Crow, Tina Turner and Radiohead among this album’s big influences. Clarkson explained how you get from “Because of You” to Kid A . “It was a lot of soulful stuff,” Clarkson said. “You know what I’m saying? Like, Radiohead is alternative, but they’re very soulful. And Sheryl Crow, very soulful singer/songwriter. So it’s all very soulful, rhythmic pop rock.” “Oh yeah, there’s a little bit of dance,” Clarkson continued. “One of the songs, it’s probably gonna be a single, ‘What Doesn’t Kill You,’ it’s a great song and definitely … that’s the one everybody will be jumping up and down to.” That combination of soul, rock, pop and dance is apparent in the album’s lead single, the ultimate tell-off anthem ” Mr. Know It All .” But what are Clarkson’s other top picks from the LP? ” ‘You Love Me’ is probably one of my favorites,” Clarkson said. ” ‘Honestly’ is another one. ‘What Doesn’t Kill You,’ I can’t wait to perform that live. We’ve already rehearsed it and it’s so much fun. It’s like this big dance anthem. That’ll be the one [that’s] kinda like ‘Since U Been Gone,’ [with] people jumping up and down to [it], and it’s just kind of really inspiring, so I can’t wait to perform that one.” In addition to “You Love Me” and “What Doesn’t Kill You,” we couldn’t help but notice the frequency of the word “you” in the album’s track list, with songs like “Standing in Front of You,” “I Forgive You” and “You Can’t Win.” Add in the album’s title, Stronger, and the clues are there that someone has done Kelly wrong over the past two years. Or at least that’s how it seems. “They’re all different ‘you’s,’ ” Clarkson said. “There’s no common, like, it wasn’t like one, I didn’t have a bad breakup or anything, it wasn’t like that. No I just think life is about relationships, so I always write about all these different ones going on in my life and I don’t really have a filter. So it’s usually very [straightforward].” Related Artists Kelly Clarkson
